In today's intuitive flow episode, we dive deep into the understanding of ‘good girl' programming. We explore the 5 main ways that it might show up in your life, from the ‘people pleaser' to ‘damsel in distress.' The ‘good girl' is the version of you that changes herself in a subconscious effort to receive love and approval from the people around you. This is something that we develop as young girls to protect ourselves, but when it goes unchecked, those protective behaviors just end up separating us from our authentic selves. If you're ready to uncover what it means to shed your ‘good girl' programming and become your most alive self, tune into this conversation. Being consistent may be boring and it is so easy to look at someone else and think that you need to switch gears and do what they are doing. But is the grass greener on the other side? Sometimes you do have to pivot and change your plan but not often. What many people are missing in life is consistency. Success is not born over night and we need to put our heads down, and do the work every day. Find one thing that adds value to the world and create something amazing for that need. Create roots in that and don't jump from idea to idea. Give it time to blossom and do the work that is required. Your life is built by your day to day habits. You have the power to change it when you see fit. 02:05 Is the grass greener on the other side? 04:20 Stay committed to what you're building. 07:00 Where do you add value to the world? 09:00 The day to day is where excellence grows. 11:00 Focus on that strong foundation!

One of the most impactful books I've ever read is Gay Hendricks' The Big Leap. I find it helpful to revisit it in mid-January because it reminds me of this concept he discovered called “The Upper Limiting Problem.” In short, we each have a limit on how much abundance, success, and love we think we deserve. Once we start to get close to those thresholds, we self-sabotage and create chaos to stay within the boundaries we're familiar with. The key to tapping into your highest potential is to start observing where you hold yourself back. In this episode, I share four of my upper limits and how I'm actively working to break through them. One of the most effective life hacks that I've discovered is this thing called Parkinson's Law, which says, “work expands to fill the time available for its completion.” In other words, if you give yourself a month to do something, you'll take every single day of that month to get it done. But, if you give yourself a week to do that same task, guess what? It will only take you seven days to finish it. Eric is co-founder of DTC Newsletter and Podcast, where he connects his audience to performance marketing tactics, fuelling profitable sales for the world's fastest-growing brands and agencies. By adding ad revenue to something that's already grown organically, you can leverage the content that's created in a much more effective way than going straight to paid. So how do you create that organic growth? In this week's episode, Eric and I get to the bottom of the surprising amount of content that you need and how it only matters if you're connecting with people on content that they care about. In order to move the needle, you must create community, be a value-forward organization, lead with your passion, and apply user-generated content where possible to attract your ideal customer — and keep them around! IN THIS EPISODE, WE TALK ABOUT: What is diversification in marketing and how you can achieve it in your business The power of TikTok to organically market your business without the use of ads Top examples of engineering a product for virality Creating experiences for the consumer rather than just products How to prioritize a value-forward brand and the positive effects it will have on your marketing Best practices for creating a genuine online community that quickly evolves into loyal customers RESOURCES Thanks to Indeed for supporting Earn Your Happy. I'm joined by Bridgitte Carroll, founder and CEO of GutPersonal, a supplement company that empowers everyone to eliminate gut issues for good through a personalized approach. Bridgitte started off her career as an integrative and functional dietitian, transitioned into the coaching space, and is now the leader of one of the most innovative supplement brands on the market. We dive into her transition from a service-based to a product-based business, her experience working with strategic investors like Lori and I, and what sets GutPersonal apart from competitors. I feel lucky to have witnessed how Bridgitte has built GutPersonal from the ground up. She unpacks some of the biggest mindset blocks that she has had to overcome in order to set herself up for success, including confronting her fear of failure and lack of industry experience.
