    Owen Cavanagh and I look at each others frozen screens as storms engulf Brisbane all the way to Noosa. We wait for about an hour and start to record. I've passed Owens work many, many times on a quest to find a grinding cyclone right hander.     I first met Jon a couple of years ago, he had a pop up store not far from my house, his work hung on the walls of a large space and I was drawn to it above all others on display. We got to talking, I complemented him on his work.     I first met Kuhio at Dbah beach on the boarder of Qld and NSW in Australia. It's a popular surf beach and Kuhio was traveling with his wife, I some how ended up having a back and forth on Instagram about something and here I was, walking on the hot sand, on a hot day to meet a guy I'd never met in person before. We compared cameras as all photographers do...mine was bigger and more robust, his was nimble and easy to adapt to the conditions...we ended up swimming and surfing the small beach breaks for a couple hours.     Brad Delaney's an unassuming man, softly spoken, always dressed in black. I met him one morning exiting the water on a day when the claz was particularly good. "Whats it like?'     Travis and I walk the elevated driveway to the legendary Peter Joli Wilson's residents. Perched atop a hill we overlook the distant waters of the Gold Coast. "Please, come in." Joli greets us and invites us in. "I've never done a podcast before!" He smiles as we sit at the family dinning table. "Don't worry mate" I reply..."I've done a few."Joli as he prefers to be called is in the upper echelon of Australian Surf Photography, a good friend of previous guest Ted Grambeau, he's credited as a pioneer in the industry. With over four decades of experience, this is an episode full of learnings and not to be missed. From tales of photographing my favourite surfer Kelly Slater, how the industry has changed, to being subscripted into the Vietnam war, theres not too many topics we didn't cover.     Dylan re-assures me that we should paddle out here....I dont agree, I've surfed this place for 20 years....a bomb set washes through the keyhole further up where I'm pointing...."Ok, we'll go out here I say".Dylan's already 20 meters away, paddling out...I'm arguing alone.lol.I've been trying to have a conversation with Dylan for over a year, his Youtube clips would inspire me when feeling flat to get in the drink. On this day I not only got to record with Dylan...but I got to shoot a heaving cyclone swell with him.Theres weird things happening in the world at the moment.     Thundercloud...a surf documentary about MASSIVE waves at a life threatening location...this was Talon's pinnacle of his craft at the time...independent film making.
