We have all had senior moments. We walk into a room, only to forget why we went in there. Or, we have a word on the tip of our tongue, and you cannot get the word out! Fortunately, these incidents happen briefly and infrequently for most people. For many they define the day, every day. These are people who suffer from brain injuries. In the U.S., every year, about 2.6 million people have some type of brain injury — whether as a result of trauma, stroke, tumor, or other illnesses, according to the Brain Injury Association of America. About 52,000 die as a result of traumatic brain injury, and more than 5 million Americans who have suffered traumatic brain injury require assistance in performing daily activities.Brian Hanson is an entrepreneur and inventor who became a Registered Nurse at age 57. Two years ago, Brian died but was sent back from Heaven to “finish a little work”. Today Brian spends his time working on inventions and speaking about faith and recovery from brain injury. He brings a unique perspective because, as a nurse, he took care of brain-injured patients before sustaining his own brain injury. Some would call this ironic, but Brian looks at it as a blessing.During the interview, Brian shares:- What his life was like before “coding” and becoming brain injured.- How his body and brain were impacted by his “big event”.- What he did and continues to do to restore his physical and mental fitness.- How his experience as a RN shaped his mindset and guides his recovery.- How daily activities present major challenges and how he is overcoming them.- Why physical fitness is essential for mental fitness.- How he is rewiring his brain so that he can be productive and have a positive impact on people.- How the mantra he embraces helps him deals with the frustrations and setbacks he experiences in his recovery journey.- Why he feels like he is on a mission from God and what he is doing about it.- Why people with brain injuries are invisible to society.- What advice he gives others who have brain injuries to help them on their journey. For more information or to contact Brian go to brianahanson@hotmail.comFor more information on the BISON Foundation go to https://www.thebisonproject.org/Never Too Late for Fitness Radio with Phil Farishttps://businessinnovatorsradio.com/never-too-late-for-fitness-radio-with-phil-faris/Source: https://businessinnovatorsradio.com/brian-hanson-brain-injury-survivor-and-advocate-jesus-lazarus-and-me-one-mans-journey-overcoming-death-and-brain-injury
