The reality is that most everyone has some sort of worms . Yes, even healthy people with no symptoms. However be mindful that viruses & bacterias are common co-infection, so its imperative that we have a comprehensive process to fight pathogens! Children who don't wash their hands often or adults who eat raw fish and under cooked meat or people who drink from contaminated water resources are most at risk for contracting parasites, but it can happen to anyone. Being in poor health is basically opening the door for these invaders to establish themselves in your body, and slowly feeding off your inner resources. This can cause nutrient deficiencies; a suppressed immune system, which can further perpetuate disease; This is a vicious cycle - poor health weakens the immune system, thus attracting more pathogens and bacteria. In conventional medicine, anti-parasitic drugs, such as praziquantel and mebendazole, are the first line of defense. The problem is that these drugs can cause many uncomfortable side effects that can be almost as bad as the parasitic infection itself, including nausea, vomiting, headaches, weight loss, and insomnia. The damage parasites have caused before treatment will determine if you need additional pharmaceutical intervention, but there are many other things one can do do clean up their terrain and rid their bodies of those creepy crawlies Join host Noa Dori and her guest Dr. Kelly Carter in their discussion about parasites and what to do about them! 11 Ways Tai Chi Can Benefit Your HealthSubscribe Today: https://thingsyoushouldknow.supercast.techQiChong video: https://youtu.be/3GtFp6sz5zMFree Trial for AloMoves: https://www.talkable.com/x/85NahKWhat is tai chi?Tai chi is a form of exercise that began as a Chinese tradition. It's based in martial arts, and involves slow movements and deep breaths. Tai chi has many physical and emotional benefits. Some of the benefits of tai chi include decreased anxiety and depression and improvements in cognitionTrusted Source. It may also help you manage symptoms of some chronic diseases, such as fibromyalgiaTrusted Source or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)Trusted Source.1. Reduces stressOne of the main benefits of tai chi is its ability to reduce stress and anxiety, though most evidence is anecdotal. In 2018, one studyTrusted Source compared the effects of tai chi on stress-related anxiety to traditional exercise. The study included 50 participants. The researchers found that tai chi provided the same benefits for managing stress-related anxiety as exercise. Because tai chi also includes meditation and focused breathing, the researchers noted that tai chi may be superior to other forms of exercise for reducing stress and anxiety. However, a larger-scale study is needed. Tai chi is very accessible and lower impact than many other forms of exercise. The researchers found it to be safe and inexpensive, so it may be a good option if you are otherwise healthy and experiencing stress-related anxiety. 2. Improves moodTai chi may help improve your mood if you are depressed or anxious. Preliminary researchsuggests that regularly practicing tai chi can reduce the symptoms of anxiety and depression. It's believed that the slow, mindful breaths and movements have a positive effect on the nervous system and mood-regulating hormones. Further research is being done to establish a clear link between tai chi and improved mood.Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched! Start for FREEDisclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. We talk to renowned ballet dancer Linda Fung, who was one of Hong Kong's first Chinese ballerinas. An alumna of the Royal Ballet School in London as well as the Juilliard School in New York, Linda served as a principal dancer at the Hong Kong Ballet for many years and remains a prominent figure in the Hong Kong ballet scene. Looking at her credentials, few would guess that she had initially faced the disadvantage of having started her training at the relatively 'late' age of twelve. Even fewer could imagine that the seemingly effortlessly graceful Linda was once dismissed as being entirely the 'wrong' frame and build for ballet. Yet both these things are true. Linda's path through the world of ballet and eventually to the art of Tai Chi has been a very wiggly one. In this episode Linda describes how she managed to build her career in dance despite her father's objections. She recounts the unexpected way motherhood led her to discover the way of life of Tai Chi, and how the philosophy of Tai Chi helped her navigate the grief of her husband's passing. Her reflections on dance and family, chinese philosophy and martial arts emphasise the importance of marrying mental health with physical health. We believe that Linda exemplifies the ability to achieve a balance of motion between the two. We recorded this podcast via technology, in different countries on different continents which to me is SO cool! During our interview Master Gu gives us insight into his story, his lineage, and the philosophies of his teachings; George tells us how he found Master Gu and what lessons he has gained from his learnings; and much more. Master Gu Shining is the director of Wudang Taoist Culture Centre (WTCC) and headmaster of the Wudang Taoist Wellness Academy (WTWA). Among the martial artists in the Wudangshan area, he is one of the few who was born here, and perhaps the only one who can teach in fluent English. While most institutions focus primarily on movement teaching, Master Gu has been directing his academy to follow the Taoist Way: not only movement but also internal alchemy and cultural exploration.Gu Shining's Chinese name is Gu Shiyi. Shining is his Taoist name, as he belongs to the 15th generation of Wudang Sanfeng Pai or sect, His shīfu (fatherly feacher) is Grandmaster Zhong Qingwei (Taoist name) or Zhong Yunlong.Master Gu aims to spread the wisdom and wellness practices of Taoism, and to help all who wish to learn and explore deeper into the Taoist culture. He teaches primarily at the WTWA in the Wudang Mountains, but also teaches abroad when invited.Have you heard about the new One Small Bite Facebook community? You’re going to want a comfy chair for this one. This week, my guest is Daoist Monk Yun Rou. Yun Rou is a brilliant interpreter of ancient ideas for a modern ear--if you’ve read his book The Mad Monk Manifesto you’ll know what I’m talking about. We got heavy into social media and how it affects us, why you might know more about Daoism than you think, and how Daoist philosophy can offer us a different, more holistic view of everything; from our own minds to the workings of the universe. If you consider yourself a seeker, this is the episode to listen to. Called the new Alan Watts for his teachings and the Zen Gabriel Garcia Marquez for his writings, Daoist Monk Yun Rou (formerly Arthur Rosenfeld) received his academic education at Yale, Cornell, and the University of California and was ordained a monk in an official ceremony at the Chun Yang Daoist Temple in Guangzhou, China. His work has appeared in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Parade, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, WebMD, Fox Business News, and numerous other websites and newspapers. His more than 20 award-winning non-fiction books and novels of magical realism focus on philosophy, history, compassion, and culture. From 2010 – 2013, he hosted the hit (reaching 60MM households) national public television show Longevity Tai Chi with Arthur Rosenfeld. The American Heart Association profiled Yun Rou as an inspirational resource in 2016. Monk Yun Rou began his formal martial arts training in 1980 and has studied with some of China’s top Chen-style tai chi grandmasters. In 2011 he was named Tai Chi Master of The Year at the World Congress on Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine. In July 2014, Yun Rou joined the heads of the five tai chi families on the dais, representing American tai chi, at the International Tai Chi Symposium in Louisville, Kentucky. He teaches in Southern Arizona, South Florida, and around the world. On November 10th, 2019, at Tai Chi Studio (Warsaw, Poland), Allatra TV Polska had an interview with Zhou Xuan Yun, daoist monk, Wudang Kung-Fu and Tai Chi Master and founder of Daoist Gate Wudang Arts. In this warm conversation we asked questions about how Master Zhou sees the creative society, and how each of us can contribute to its creation. Thank you very much to Mariusz Sroczyński & Kamila Jagiełło for help in organizing this interview. Background about project “SOCIETY. THE LAST CHANCE": On May 11th, 2019, a unique global event took place on the platform of “ALLATRA” International Public Movement - the international video conference “SOCIETY. THE LAST CHANCE". It is a grand event for the whole society, that inspired millions of people! The conference has become a very bright, positive, life-affirming example of the fact that people really can do a lot together, when they unite in their pure selfless aspirations for the benefit of all humanity! People of different nationalities, religions, professions from more than 140 countries of the world openly communicated without intermediaries, look into each other’s eyes, truthfully voiced real and pressing problems of society, and shared their sincere (living) understandings of ways to solve world crises in all spheres of life through changes of the consumer format of the society to creative one. International video conference has caused a wide resonance among people. They all shared inspiring experience of interaction in a new, creative format and talked about ways of addressing issues that were raised during the video conference “SOCIETY. THE LAST CHANCE”. IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to the fact that the World Health Organization has declared a coronavirus pandemic and many countries have declared quarantine in their territories, the International Conference "Society. The Last Chance", scheduled for May 9, 2020, is postponed to 2021. At the request of organizers and many participants from different countries, the conference will be held next year on May 15th. ~ AWAKENING HUMANITY ~ Sam Liebowitz, will discuss all types of topics to help you raise your awareness. [EPISODE] Mad Monk Manifesto This week, on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Renowned Tai Chi Master, Author, Novelist, TV Writer & PBS Host, Monk Yun Rou. According to Monk Yun Rou--Yale educated, South-Florida based author of 15 books, Tai Chi Master and Daoist monk ordained in China--if we adhered to the principles set forth around 500 BC by Lao Tzu in the Tao Te Ching, we wouldn't be in this mess. In his latest book, Mad Monk Manifesto: A Prescription for Evolution, Revolution, and Global Awakening, he weighs in on the great issues of today and how we humans are undermining our existence, not just environmentally, but by creating a toxic focus on self-interest that poisons our politics, lifestyle, health, parenting, technology, human interaction, and much more. Using those basic principles--take your cues from and exist in harmony with nature, live simply, be authentic and humble, serve others, do no harm, stay calm and creative in the face of resistance, honor your own body, live peacefully-he lays out how things could be different if the Daoist filter was applied to just about everything. But the most powerful experience of his life stemmed from gritty, glorious months in the Paraguayan jungle as a field biologist, which deepened his commitment to Daoism and nature. Tune in for this transformational discussion at www.TalkRadio.nyc Segment 1 Mike Dooley and Universe tell us that our goals and dreams come from an alternate reality where they are already attained. When we push ourselves to our goals we are bringing the elements from the alternate reality into ours. On the other hand, Abraham brings in a sentiment of law of attraction and resonance. When we put our energy into the things we want for our lives those vibrations will resonate with things, people, and feelings that will come into our lives. Like attracts like. Everyone has a unique life and everyone's perspective will be true for them, but this has no influence on anyone else's lives. Segment 2 Sam and Yun Rou talk about his studies and spiritual journey. Yun Rou has been studying these principles for almost his whole life, but was simply too young to fully grasp some of the concepts. Later in his life Yun Rou found a master to teach him and guide him. Yun Rou has found himself living a public life as a monk rather than isolate himself as per custom and tradition. Segment 3 Yun Ruo begins by talking about his book Mad Monk Manifesto and he says it's not a book for the faint of heart. He was inspired to write the book after watching a speech from President Trump. He was so angered that he decided to find a way to control his emotions and reactions to others. The main takeaway from this book is that “It's not all about you”. Yun Ruo then explains what the “sixth great extinction” means. This term is used to describe the time we are in right now where we are having an extreme loss of biodiversity across the planet. He believes that most people aren't concerned with how we're treating the planet. If everyone can take it upon themselves to make little changes in their lives than he believes we can fix things. Sam adds that being ecologically minded is good for yourself and the human race regardless if there is a climate crisis or not. Segment 4 Sam and Yun Ruo brings it back by discussing the importance of questioning the motives behind things you usually take for granted. These questions include how we live, how we eat, and how we treat each other. Must of the traditional ways of through are taught to us by people with an agenda. It's crucial to think for yourselves and come up with conclusions on our own. Yun Ruo then talks about the success of his book and the social media response. He also talks about six new books that he has in the pipeline, the one coming out next is called Turtle Planet. Traditional Chinese culture rests upon the shoulders of three great sages, Confucius, the Buddha, and Lao Tzu. YIN is the story of the latter, the most mysterious and least known of the heavenly trio, and his quest for a soul mate, a quest answered by a tortoise, a Galápagos giant to be precise, brought to him, as a tiny baby, from across the great Pacific. A work of magical realism in the vein of Gabriel Garcia Márquez and David Mitchell, YIN chronicles the efforts of the great sage to create the woman of his dreams. It is a novel of idealism, frustration, persistence, unimaginable endurance, failure, tragedy, and triumph. Set alternately in current China's era of economic marvels and social change, and in the formative, ancient dynasty during which the seeds of today's great nation were sown, YIN entrances and enchants as a love story for the ages, yet also mines an ancient philosophy to offer readers both a different way of thinking and of looking at the world, and a recipe for social and environmental change. Tune in to this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, as host, June Stoyer talks to Tai Chi Master, Taoist monk, and best-selling author, Arthur Rosenfeld also known as Yunrou to talk about his new book, Yin: A Love Story. Yin is a beautifully written story that is thought provoking and symbolic. It is the type of book that will make you think about your own journey and develop a deeper appreciation for the world around you. If you love books that are chock filled with symbolism, spiritual meaning and the intricate connection each being has with one another, this is one interview you don't want to miss! Stay tuned!
