So, you're going on a Disney vacation and you want to plan the perfect family look without looking like you're all heading to the office team-building retreat. Coordinated Disney Family Outfits That Don't Scream "Tacky Tourist"Matching outfits can be Disney adorable, but let's be honest: there's a fine line between coordinated and cringe. So how do you keep the magic alive and look like you belong on a curated Instagram feed? Fortunately, there are a few ways that you can nail the “together but tasteful” Disney matching outfits look. The Problem with the Common Matching Disney T-ShirtsYou've probably seen them. The bright-colored shirts with giant Mickey heads or hands and bold “SMITH FAMILY VACATION 2025” in faux Disney font splashed across the chest. Functional? Sure. Fashionable? Not exactly. Here's the thing:Yes, they stand out—but not in a chic way.Everyone's wearing them, so they're not as “special” as you thought or hoped. They can be a little... much… in photos you'll keep forever. For those memories that will last a lifetime, you deserve something more – something that feels magical and modern, not mass-produced.Swap the Matchy-Matchy Disney Look for a More Cohesive Color StoryInstead of going full-matching or obvious Disney twinsies, try thinking like a stylist: pull together a coordinated color palette. Choose a few shades that vibe well together—say, dusty blues, natural, warm tones and similar—and mix and match across the family. What it looks like:Mom in a light-toned 1923 Main Street hoodie and cropped jeansDad in a slate-colored subtle Disney graphic tee and canvas shortsKids in muted Mickey-inspired graphics and solid-colored shorts or joggersNow everyone looks like they belong together, without looking like they had to dress like staff in a fast-food restaurant.Grown-Up Disney: Subtle Nods for Stylish AdultsDisney adults can take comfort in the fact that you can rep your love for Disney without going full Goofy. The key? Subtle touches that nod to the magic. This is where 1923 Main Street subtle Disney inspired travel-themed unique t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies really shine. Think tasteful typography, vintage aesthetics and clever nods to your favorite Disney themes—without screaming Disney (meaning you can wear these anywhere and not look like you're screaming Disney all the time).Ideas for low-key Disney Parks style:Graphic tees with subtle inspirations from Disney-related themesHoodies featuring retro-style travel graphics that only true Disney fans will recognizeNeutral tones with classic silhouettes and hidden Disney hints or Easter EggsIt's Disney inspired, but decidedly not Disney, all at the same time. This is fashionable subtle and elegant Disney style and it's one of our specialties at 1923 Main Street. In fact, it's why 1923 Main Street is known as the creator of original elegant subtle Disney style.Disney Travel Outfit Chemistry 101: Mixing 1923 Main Street for the Whole FamilyThe 1923 Main Street subtle Disney apparel is pure magic for family styling. Our Disney inspired graphic t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies feature the legacy, the minimalism and the travel-lovers' charm that works for almost every age. While we don't have specific kid-size outfits, we do offer most apparel in small and often extra small sizes, which will fit many younger ones nicely. As a bonus, purchasing these sizes instead of kids' sizes means their clothes will be able to grow with them for at least a little while, giving you more value for your purchase. Sizing Tip: Be sure to pay close attention to our lay-flat size guides to get the perfect fit for everyone in your group, including your younger ones with small and extra small sizes.Try these Disney travel style combos:Adults:Option 1: Olive green 1923 Main Street hoodie or sweatshirt + denim + white sneakersOption 2: Black “Resort Collection” hoodie + shorts + comfy walking shoesKids:Option 1: Heather gray 1923 Main Street subtle Disney tee + joggers + Mickey bucket hatOption 2: Soft lilac Castle Crew shirt + biker shorts + character sneakersEveryone looks like they belong in the same group—but in a laid-back, effortlessly cool way.Picture-Perfect Disney Vacation Outfit IdeasLet's not forget the real MVP here: your camera roll. Your subtle Disney travel outfits should shine in your Disney photos. Here are some pro-worthy photo-friendly outfit themes to get you started:Pastel ParadeEach family member wears a different pastel tone. It's soft, dreamy and works so well in front of any princess castle.Monochrome and MickeyThink all-black ensembles with a tiny pop of Disney. It's an elevated looks that's not only trendy and timeless, but also amazingly photogenic.Earthy AdventureCombine taupe, moss, dark chocolate and natural/beige with natural fabrics and comfy sneakers. The perfect style for Animal Kingdom Park vibes or any wilderness adventure.Retro RewindThrow on 1923 Main Street vintage tees with vintage denim, bandanas and a touch of sepia-toned attitude and you're ready to go in any park on any day (But our fave for this one is definitely Hollywood Studios).Wrap-Up: You Can Match Outfits on a Disney Vacation Without Losing the MagicMatching shirts and outfits at Walt Disney World, Disneyland or any Disney destination doesn't have to mean blending in with every other family in the park. With a few smart choices—coordinated colors, subtle Disney nods and stylish pieces from 1923 Main Street, of course—you can look cool, feel comfy and still show off your awesome Disney spirit.Because, let's be real: the best memories are the ones where you feel like yourself—and don't look like every other guest in the park.Shop at 1923 Main StreetThank you for listening to the Travel Style Podcast at 1923MainStreet.com.Shop unique and original travel inspired and subtle Disney travel clothing, including t-shirts, sweatshirt, hoodies, dresses, swimwear and more at 1923 Main Street.Follow along on X, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.Thank you for listening and have a magical day!Mike Belobradic and Amelia Belobradic--Media provided by Jamendo

Part of the fun of a Walt Disney World vacation is planning and packing outfits to wear to the parks. Each Disney World park has its own unique identity, vibe and theme, so it can be fun to match your outfits to each park's personality. If you're looking for ideas or inspiration for what to pack and wear to each of the four parks at Walt Disney World, you've come to the right place. What Style to Wear in Each Disney World Theme Park Magic Kingdom – Vibe: Vintage and Original Disney Style As the original Walt Disney World theme park, Magic Kingdom is full of vintage Disney style. When you think of classic Disney, this is the park that most reflects that, which makes it easy to plan an outfit for Disney's Magic Kingdom Park. Casual Disney or Disney-inspired graphics t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, dresses and more are all ideal for Magic Kingdom. Whether it's classic Disney characters or villains, this is the park to rock that style with confidence. The same goes for accessories. Whether it's Minnie themed sunglasses or headbands, or a Mickey hat or ears, your classic Disney apparel has a home in Magic Kingdom Park.EPCOT – Vibe: The Most Fashion-Forward Disney Park If Walt Disney World had a park for fashionistas, that would be EPCOT. This is the park where you can feel free to dress up a little in your favorite designer or Disney-inspired sundress, button shirt, tops, skirts and more. With its abundance of themed festivals throughout the year and the “upscale” (in Disney terms) nature of World Showcase, EPCOT naturally lends itself to being the most fashion forward of all Disney World parks. Here is where you can break out your trendy casual outfits for a walk through world showcase. Sipping a glass of wine, beer or a mocktail lends itself to your Disney resort wear at EPCOT. Plus, you can also feel at home sporting your cultural colors here, particularly during festivals like Food and Wine or Flower and Garden (the latter of which is the perfect time to wear your new floral spring apparel). Accessorizing for EPCOT can mean designer sunglasses, fancy sunhats or your favorite cross-body bag or tote. Animal Kingdom – Vibe: Go Wild and Get Your Prints On Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is the obvious place for your favorite prints. Whether they're Disney-themed or not, prints and abstract or wildlife styles are all right at home here. Earth tones are a good choice, but don't be shy about adding a splash of color, as that's what you'll see throughout the park at the various marketplaces. If you're looking for a Disney-inspired outfit idea, safari wear is a great choice. Not only will you find Mickey, Minnie, Donald and more in their safari attire, but the park's ambiance lends itself to safari hats, khakis, camo, cargo shorts, safari shirts and more. From a pure Disney point of view, Lion King characters are a great choice, as are pretty much any animal themed Disney inspirations, including Zootopia, Nemo and others. Accessories that work well here follow a similar trend, with safari or animal print ears, bags, phone cases and more being right at home at Animal Kingdom. Hollywood Studios – Vibe: Classic Elegant Disney Mashup with Contemporary Disney IP Disney's Hollywood Studios is the park that offers the widest range of flexibility when it comes to styling your outfit for the day. That's largely because this park has always had a bit of an identity problem (ever since Michael Eisner hastily threw it together to beat Universal Orlando's opening). This is the everything bagel of Disney Parks, where it was all just thrown together in a hurry, but somehow tastes okay. At Hollywood Studios you can be right at home in anything from elegant retro Disney style, to futuristic Star Wars attire or even playful themes from Toy Story, the Muppets and modern Mickey animation. Whichever way you choose to go, use elegant style as a guiding principle for your outfit. At its heart, Hollywood Studios is still the glitz and glam of 1920s Hollywood. So keeping that in mind will help you get just the right touch. Accessories for Disney's Hollywood Studios can follow the generous amount of style options the park reflects, from trendy sunglasses and hats, to Disney-inspired backpacks and more. This is the park where almost anything goes, especially outfits that might not work perfectly anywhere else.Thank You for Listening to the Disney Travel Style PodcastThank you very much for listening to this episode, we that you enjoyed it. If you want to take great photos of your Disney outfits at Walt Disney World, there are five great spots that will consistently deliver exceptional photos for your social media feed or personal photo album. Want to be Disney fashion influencer? Here's how to get started with great Disney style photos. The Five Best Photo Spots at Walt Disney World to Show Off an Outfit What to Consider to Get the Best Photos of Your Disney Outfits at Disney WorldThe best time for photos under natural light is first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon (which generally will provide softer golden lighting. Overcast days and shaded areas are also great for providing picture perfect diffused and muted light. So if you are serious about getting a great photo for your social feed or to become a fashion/style influencer, get to your photo spot first thing in the morning. This will provide the best lighting and the lowest crowds. By going early, the lower crowds mean that, at worst, you can use AI great to remove one or two errant people in the photo. But beyond one or two people, it can get trickier. Unless you are going for the blurred crowd effect (which is something to try if you find yourself in that situation). Focal length, aperture and the distance to your subject can all affect how the final photo turns out. Plus, for scenic views you need to consider whether the background will be busy or uniform, and whether it will be blurred or more in focus. All of this makes a difference in your final photo. You can adjust much of this in post production using apps, but the more that you consider up front, the less work you will have to do later. Five of the Best Outdoor Scenic Photo Locations for Disney Style 1. Cinderella Castle As a classic icon, Cinderella Castle has several vantage points that are perfect for unique and stylized fashion shots. This does not include the standard head-on shot from Main Street (where the PhotoPass photographers are positioned). Look for a unique angle on either side of the castle, with some good spots towards the back. 2. Grand Floridian Resort Disney's Grand Floridian Resort offers a ton of first rate outdoor photo spots. From sprawling green lawns, to great florals and tropical gardens, to beach photos and backgrounds of Seven Seas Lagoon, you can always find a great photo spot here. Of course, the white and red color palette of the majestic buildings are also picture perfect. 3. Disney Boardwalk The Walt Disney World Boardwalk has a number of options for unique and interesting fashion and style photos. From benches on the wooden boardwalk, to vistas of the Crescent Lake and the Yacht and Beach Club hotels in the distance, you will have the potential to get a ton of great shots here. If you are looking for that magical late afternoon golden hour sunlight, the Boardwalk area is perfect for that photo-friendly natural lighting. 4. EPCOT: Morocco Pavilion, France Pavilion, By the fence around to World Showcase LagoonWhile EPCOT has no shortage of first-rate photo opp locations for fashion and style photos, there are two or three that stand out as top picks to explore. At the very back of the Morocco Pavilion, you will find a wonderful location with great lighting, interesting backdrops and few crowds. Nearby in the France Pavilion is another great area where you can capture some fashion and style photos featuring the charm of old Europe. For the France area, you will need to go early in the day for the optimal nature light and the lowest crowds. Also in EPCOT, the blue water of World Showcase Lagoon can make a nice blurred background. Finding a location along the black iron rails next to the water can make for some excellent photos, assuming you time it right with the sun low in the sky or on an overcast day. 5. Animal Kingdom: Harambe Marketplace area, Animal Kingdom (Fichwa Fellow Wall, with Mickey Mouse, You are Most Beautiful wall) Over at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, the Harambe Marketplace are is filled with colorful backdrops and unique textures that can make for some excellent photo opps. The great thing about this area is that unlike some of the other popular Disney photo wall locations (which don't have enough room to create distance between the camera, subject and backdrop), the Harambe area provides the perfect opportunity to set up for some great fashion photos. Planning Your Disney Fashion Photos in Advance is Worth the Effort Putting some thought into the photos before you take them will make a difference in the end result. If you are aiming to get some like-worthy fashion photos for your Instagram or social feed, then the extra effort and thought will pay off.Thank You for Listening to the Disney Travel Style PodcastThank you very much for listening to this episode, we that you enjoyed it. There's a lot of hype following the big announcements at this year's Destination D23 Event at Walt Disney World. But what many have missed is that several things have changed since last year's big announcements. So what's real, what can be trusted and what's as clear as mud for the future of Walt Disney World? The Big News for Disney Parks from Destination D23 We learned as much from what was said as we did from what was not said. What's Coming to Disney's Magic Kingdom Park Hatbox Ghost will be back at the Haunted Mansion in November, but not in the way you may think. He will appear "wherever and whenever he pleases," implying that you may or may not see him on the ride and likely not in the same place each time. Country Bear Jamboree is changing, this time significantly. An all-new show is coming, complete with a whole new act and new songs. The new show will be modeled after the musical revues of Nashville, featuring some of your favorite country bears singing popular Disney hits in a variety of country music styles, including pop country, bluegrass, rockabilly and more. Disney offered a sneak peak by showing the recording session for Bear Necessities, which will be in the new show. Pirates of the Caribbean is getting new ambiance with the addition of a new tavern near the ride. Remember the Barker Bird who used to chat will guests at the entrance of Pirates of the Caribbean? He will be back and living at the new tavern, chatting it up with guests. Big questions are will this be a reimagining of Tortuga Tavern and will they be selling alcohol? What's Coming to EPCOT We know that Moana's Journey of Water is opening on October 16 (including a new location for the Moana meet and greet), but we now know that all of World Celebration will open in December. Yes, the walls are finally coming down. Bigger news is that Test Track will be undergoing another complete overhaul and update (still with Chevrolet). No dates as to when it will close and for how long, but it is time for a refresh so this is welcome news. Disney promises the new Test Track will include the best elements from the original version along with new updates that point to a future world for vehicles. World Showcase Lagoon will be getting a new nighttime show entitled Luminous: The Symphony of Us. It will debut on December 5. What Will the Future Hold for Walt Disney World Parks? It got interesting here as they teased new information, but in some cases said less than they said last year. Here's what we know. Beyond Big Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom still appears to be happening, but they did not mention villains or anything else specifically. It still sounds like a new land with significant size and scale and it will include attractions, restaurants, shows and more. They did say that Dinoland at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park will be reimagined into a new land themed as the tropical Americas (geographically the space between North and South America). This land will land be Encanto themed, which removes Encanto from Beyond Big Thunder, as was hinted at last year. So Encanto Moves from Magic Kingdom to Animal Kingdom. Plus, an Indiana Jones area is likely coming to Animal Kingdom, potentially where Rafiki's Planet Watch is currently located. Finally, It's Tough to be a Bug in the Tree of Life is being reimagined as a Zootopia themed attraction/show. Disney Cruise Line The seventh ship will be called the Disney Adventure. The new island stop in the Bahamas on Eleuthera will be called Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.--Thank You for Listening to the Disney Travel PodcastThank you very much for listening to this episode, Amelia and I hope that you enjoyed it. In Chapter 12 of Living with the Landspeeder, we visit the Animal Kingdom Park at Walt Disney work in Orlando to #starwarsify Kali River Rapids. This ride has never been very popular, so remaking this ride into a Star Wars attraction is a fun challenge. Not only do we retheme the attraction, we also reimagine Yak & Yeti as a new restaurant! From Life Day to Indiana Jones(?) to Kyber Crystals, we had a lot of fun recording this episode to make a bad ride a lot better. Thank you for listening! Before you board when the ride opens on April 4 there are four things you need to know:1. A Virtual Queue for Team Blue at TronTRON will use a virtual queue when it opens and a standby queue will not be available.2. Riding Tron through Individual Lightning LaneLooking for an option to pay to play? Tron will offer a paid ILL option, so get ready to reserve your time first thing in the morning.3. New Locker SystemTron will offer digitized lockers to store bags and loose items while you ride. The lockers are free and located within the line. Your locker will pair directly with your MagicBand, MagicBand+ or park ticket so you can easily lock and reopen your locker with a tap. If you don't have any of those, Cast Members will give you a card for your locker. There will also be small pouches in the ride cars, but it sounds like Disney isn't messing around with guests who have extra baggage.4. Disney PhotoPass Tron Ride Photo and Video Not surprisingly there will be an onboard photo and video automatically linked to your My Disney Experience account. It's important to note the following if you want your photo and video: Enable Bluetooth for the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device before riding. Make sure you're logged into the My Disney Experience app and keep the device out of low power mode. Your device will need to ride with you, so keep it secure. Everything New for Disney Parks and Resorts from D23 Expo 2022 So What's Next for Disney Parks? You won't believe what's coming behind Big Thunder Mountain at Walt Disney World This is Disney's Blue Sky sneak peak of what's coming down the road for Disney Parks. This portion of the D23 Expo had the biggest cheer of anything announced in 2022.First though, Josh D'Amaro announced what's happening with Dinoland at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. It has been languishing and looks forgotten so the announcement of a big transformation coming was welcome. Zootopia and Moana will share the space currently occupied by Dinoland. But the biggest news of all... Disney Villains are Finally Getting a Place to Call their OwnMagic Kingdom will feature new frontiers and it's all hiding on the other side of BTM. The little town of Santa Cecilia will come to life as Coco gets a Magic Kingdom presence. And if you do want to talk about Bruno, you're in luck because you may be able to walk right into the Madrigal's casita. But all is not fun and flowers in this new land...as what if the Disney villains took up residence there as well...beyond Big Thunder Mountain. This was presented as conceptual and would likely be 10 years down the road, but Disney would not share it in this way if it weren't going to happen. Big news for Walt Disney World and Magic Kingdom. -- There's More Coming to Walt Disney WorldA new nighttime show for EPCOT will debut in late 2023 to kick-off the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. Moana's Journey of Water and the rest of the World Celebration area at EPCOT will open in late 2023. So we'll have to bear with those construction walls for another year it seems.Figment is returning in a brand new form for a meet and greet at EPCOT. That will be in place by the end of 2023. In Magic Kingdom, the perennial favorite Hatbox Ghost will materialize once again in the Haunted Mansion. And we now know that Tron Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom will debut in Spring 2023. We were hoping it would be sooner, but apparently they are working on finishing touches right now. No specific date, just "spring." Finally, in 2023, a new version of Happily Ever After will return as part of a new Magic Kingdom nighttime show. This received a good amount of applause. What's New and Coming to Disneyland Resort The DVC Villas at Disneyland Hotel will be called the Villas at Disneyland Hotel. How creative. On October 16, 2023 Disney 100 kicks-off and it promises to be the biggest celebration ever for Disney. Under the theme of a Boundless Future the following announcements were made: The Mandalorian and Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) will be onsite starting in Mid November 2022 at Disneyland Galaxy's Edge Over at the Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure Park, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, noted "we're just getting started." A new giant Hulk will be at Avengers Campus in California "next week." Plus, they're bringing the Multiverse to Avengers Campus. Disney is expanding the campus to include a new attraction. In the new attraction you will battle alongside all the Avengers against all the foes from anywhere. You will fight King Thanos. This is a new Thanos -- a Thanos who won. And the Avengers are not too happy about that and you have to help them. More news to come. Also new to Disney California Adventure, they are reimagining Pacific Wharf into San Fransokyo from Big Hero Six. You'll be able to meet Baymax there. Finally, they are reimagining Paradise Pier Hotel, as it will become Pixar Place Hotel. It will feature a Finding Nemo splash pad and more characters. All in all, Disney promises that the hotel will feel completely new. Over at Downtown Disney more than a dozen new or reimagined locations are in the works. More announcements coming over the next year. But the big news locally is a that SoCal favorite bakery Porto's is coming to Downtown Disney. RunDisney at Disneyland is coming back in 2024. More details coming soon. It's been awhile for Run Disney as the last one took place in 2017. Mickey's ToonTown Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway are coming along. It was good to hear that it will be a slightly different version of Runaway Railway than the WDW edition, to fit into the Disneyland ToonTown story. It's all opening in 2023. Tiana's Bayou Adventure will open in late 2024 in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The story for the ride is that it picks up where the film (Princess and the Frog) left off. In the new story, Princess Tiana is an entrepreneur and community leader in the year 1927. She is hosting a party for the community and we need to help Tiana to find a special ingredient that she's missing. Disney promises that the latest tech is being implemented to really enhance the outside of the whole area at night. Mist will be used like a painter's canvas. "True bayou magic." The attraction is to be a love letter to New Orleans. Guests should feel the story is authentic to the city. Another great piece of news is that the original cast will be lending their voices to the new attraction. --What's new at Disney Cruise Line The sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet is all about adventure...celebrating Walt's love for exploration. The new Disney Cruise ship is called Disney Treasure. The Disney Wonder is heading to Australia and New Zealand late 2023. The island of Eleuthera and Lighthouse Point will be the new Bahamas port for Disney Cruise. 90% of the power will come from solar. What's Coming to Disney Parks Around the Globe Zootopia is opening at Shanghai Disneyland. World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland will open in the second half of 2023, featuring a Wandering Oaken sleigh coaster. Disneyland Paris' Frozen Arendelle land is coming along and Disneyland Hotel is being fully reimagined -- opening in 2024 At Tokyo Disneyland, Disney Fantasy Spring will feature Peter Pan, Tangled and Frozen. Plus a totally reimagined Space Mountain will open by 2027 at Tokyo Disney. Pixar We Belong Together will be debuting at Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris next year. The DLP 30th Anniversary celebrations will be continuing until September 2023.--Thank You for Listening to the Disney Travel PodcastThank you very much for listening to this episode, Amelia and I hope that you enjoyed it. How did they narrow it down to six? The team rode the attraction over and over again testing how various tracks fit with the spirit and the movement of the coaster. They finally settled on the following six songs in their original classic versions: “September” “Disco Inferno” “Conga” “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” “I Ran” “One Way or Another” You won't know which track you're going to hear until you blast off. Plus we now know that the theme of the ride is to help stop Eson, the Celestial villain who is trying to complete an evil plan. --Connections Café & Eatery is Now Open at EPCOTConnections Café & Eatery is open and ready to serve in the World Celebration neighborhood. The restaurant's design includes nods to Walt Disney's original plans for EPCOT. There are two experiences – an eatery on one side serving lunch and dinner menus, and a café and pastry shop on the other open all day long. When walking past Spaceship Earth on the way into the park, Connections Café and Eatery is on the left. Floor-to-ceiling windows give a full view of the open space featuring modern décor and tempting smells of pastries baking, fresh coffee brewing and burgers on the grill. Since World Celebration is located in the center of the park, Connections Café & Eatery offers some great views as well.A colorful mural called “Global Gathering” covers one wall and reflects the heart of the restaurant – people from around the world gathering around food. It's one of the biggest murals Walt Disney Imagineering has ever created. Take note how the scenes blend seamlessly from sunrise to sunset. You can also see chefs at work in three show kitchens. Watch them grilling, sautéing and baking everything from burgers to pizzas and sprinkling pixie dust on fun desserts from milkshakes to waffles.Whether it's coffee or tea, you'll find it here showcasing how various cultures enjoy their favorite drinks. As always at WDW, don't forget to look down. There are three original floor inlays inspired by Walt's 1966 “Florida Project” site plans, where EPCOT was to serve as the “center” of Walt Disney World. These details honor Walt's original dream of EPCOT. --‘Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!'
