All morning I'd been pondering what I wanted to talk about on the podcast this week and what came up was the truth that we must allow ourselves to change, evolve, and continue growing if we are to meet and befriend our True Selves and if we want to walk in freedom, wholeness, and joy. While this may sound simple and obvious, it's brave and hard work. Risky work. In order to grow forward, we must be willing to let go of old versions of Self, old identities, old stories, old patterns that no longer serve us. This conversation married nicely with the current work inside my membership community. So today I also want to share a short clip from a Brave + Beautiful Community Call. “It is time to search out your uniqueness, applaud and acknowledge yourself, and let your own light shine.” ~ Debbie Ford Guest Introduction: Welcome to Exploring the Seasons of Life: Travel Edition! I'm Cindy MacMillan, and it's an absolute joy to share this adventure with you. Travel isn't just about where you go—it's about who you become along the way. And I'm so glad you're here, ready to explore, dream, and discover. After today's conversation with Joyful Living Educator, Krista O'Reilly-Davi-Digui, I'll be taking a break from recording new episodes as I reimagine and rebrand the podcast. This pause is intentional—because just like travel, growth happens when we give ourselves space to reflect, refine, and create something even more meaningful. Thank you for being part of this journey. I can't wait to share what's next! So, grab your coffee, get comfy, and let's dive into the incredible possibilities that await. It's my pleasure to formally introduce my guest. Krista O'Reilly-Davi-Digui offers her work as a writer, mind-body coach, and Joyful Living Educator. Through story, grief and trauma-informed education, and brave community, Krista's words and work empower midlife women to befriend their True Selves and (re)claim freedom, wholeness, and joy. Connect with her at alifeinprogress.ca. Here's a glimpse of our conversation: 2:30 My background is in education. I chose to stay home and homeschool my children, but as I approached 40 and faced my own midlife crossroads, I had a very clear knowing that it was time for me to go back to school and step into that dream number two. 4:17 I had to remind myself that I wasn't claiming to have it all figured out—I was simply acknowledging what I needed. 5:37 If I'm honest, I never approach things head-on, like saying, “We're going to learn about joy.” Many people admit they don't know how to access joy or where to begin. But to me, that feels too big and elusive. Instead, I start with something more foundational—building a friendship with ourselves first. 16:40 Joy is one of the most vulnerable emotions. Like happiness, many people keep it at arm's length because allowing themselves to feel too good can be scary. There's often a fear—what happens when the next bad thing comes? 18:42 Some seasons feel rockier, while others are more intimate and comfortable. But like any relationship, it requires attention—an investment of energy and a choice to show up and practice. It's not like signing a marriage certificate and assuming no more effort is needed. It takes ongoing work, which makes it vulnerable. 29:12 Inner child work isn't a primary focus of my approach, but it naturally emerges along the way. 35:50 One of the root stories I grew up with was that being good and compassionate meant giving everything away. Over time, I had to learn to hold onto some of my money—not giving away every moment or every penny—for my own well-being and the stability of my children. 41:44 I primarily work with people in two ways: one-on-one coaching and my Brave and Beautiful community, which is designed for midlife women—mainly in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and early 70s, though there are some outliers. I let people decide for themselves if it's the right fit, as long as they know my work is centered on the needs and experiences of midlife women. In this introspective episode of Shed and Shine, Gino Wickman shares four profound insights designed to help entrepreneurs deepen their connection to their True Selves and unlock true freedom. He begins by exploring the importance of understanding your calling—aligning your actions with purpose and trusting the intuitive nudges that guide your journey. Gino reflects on his own path, from leading a family business to creating tools and resources for entrepreneurial growth, all driven by a deep sense of purpose. Gino introduces “nudging” as a powerful leadership style. By patiently guiding others, much like teaching a child to ride a bike, leaders allow room for growth and self-discovery. He emphasizes the value of timing, trust, and learning through experience, encouraging listeners to adopt this approach in their mentorship and leadership roles. The episode also focuses on achieving “true freedom”—time, economic, and creative freedom that fosters authentic self-expression. Gino discusses shedding the fear of judgment, embracing unconditional love, and expressing one's True Self with confidence and clarity. Lastly, he celebrates the importance of growth through feedback, sharing the podcast's success and inviting listeners to engage through comments, ratings, and participation in the True Self assessment and group coaching program. This episode offers a heartfelt invitation to reflect, shed, and shine as you walk your unique path to entrepreneurial freedom. This Shed and Shine episode dives into the concept of "pure energy" and how understanding this principle can help entrepreneurs shed mental and emotional blocks. Gino Wickman and Rob Dube unpack the scientific and philosophical insights behind energy, exploring how everything—including thoughts and human interactions—consists of energy and vibrational frequencies. Rob introduces foundational ideas from quantum mechanics and Einstein's E=mc², suggesting that at our core, humans are pure energy, constantly vibrating and interacting. Gino simplifies this heady concept, sharing his belief that we are all connected through energy and vibrations that drive our thoughts, feelings, and interactions. The conversation also delves into how we can manage these vibrations to let go of ego-driven attachments, overcome trauma, and align more closely with our True Selves. Gino references David Hawkins' “Map of Consciousness” to help listeners visualize different vibrational states, from fear and shame to love and enlightenment, guiding them on a path toward higher consciousness and deeper personal freedom. While the Democrats are playing two sets of theater performances on the surface (conveying a "peaceful transfer of power" to the masses and overtly trying to use the insurrection clause of the 14th amendment to keep Donald Trump from assuming the presidency, which they can no legally do), it's what they are doing underneath the superficial notions should be more worrisome. In this vulnerable episode, I dive deep into how a simple conversation about coping mechanisms versus authentic personality led to some major personal revelations - especially about my role as a parent. Through conversations with my husband and a serendipitous book finding, I discovered that what I thought was "just who I am" might actually be ways I've learned to cope with life. I invite you to join me in examining where you might be living in "coping mode" instead of authentic expression, as we explore the difference between using coping skills for situations versus making them our way of life. https://www.instagram.com/nicole_bachle/ https://www.wattneypoetry.com

This episode is filled with wisdom for navigating both personal and collective transformation in the current energetic climate.Key Takeaways:✨ Spirituality is about remembering our true essence as souls.
What up, Beasts? Welcome back to the show. Today I am hanging out with Loralee Humpherys. Loralee, the creator of the Radiant Reset Program, releases stressed-out women so they can break free of deep-seated social conditioning and beliefs that keep them feeling stuck, fearful, and in poor health. For years Loralee struggled with emotional eating and digestive upsets as a result of deep-seated anxieties in her personal and professional life. Her quest to find freedom from the pain led her to research from which she discovered the principles of natural healing, cleansing and detoxification, energy healing and holistic nutrition. Loralee brings these answers to other women so they can heal all of these issues and more by living in harmony with The Natural Laws of Health and being in alignment with their spiritually authentic self. Often, these women also deal with gut issues and impaired digestion, brought on by stress-filled jobs and relationships (those they can ‘no longer stomach'). Loralee's process releases those jumbled emotions so they can finally find peace and relax their gut without wasting any more time, money, and energy on pills, diets and protocols that have not worked. Loralee is a Licensed Spiritual Health Coach, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Certified Reiki Master, with special training in Meditation and Aromatherapy. As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something you hear tugs on your heart-strings and/or I hope you laugh. Welcome back to Dial Emma from Friendship Therapy! This is where you get to dial Emma, with your dilemma (see what I did there?!) You share your friendship concerns, and I share my reflections as a therapist to give you the tips and tools you need to build better bonds. This week, we hear from a listener who is struggling to navigate an imbalance in communication styles in a friendship, especially when it comes to making plans and responding to messages within a perceived timeframe that, currently, neither of them are sticking to. How can these friends update their friendship contract into the present so that both parties can show up wholly as themselves? Can people who have very different communication styles be in a successful friendship where their individual needs are met? In this episode, Emma comes back to attachment styles to try and understand what the dissonance could be between these friends, and why they have two very different reactions to a lack of ‘regular' communication, whatever that looks like for them. Are they simply singing from different hymn sheets, or is it about giving themselves permission individually to behave in the ways that work for them within the friendship? What advice would you give this listener?
