On this episode we once again dive into the wonderful world of Bunnahabhain with a sampling of the 2021 and 2022 12 Year Cask strenght while answering some of your burning Drep and Stone questions. We cover Nick's radio dj voice, zero full episodes of Brady Bunch, who cares about the stupid dolphin, the suggestion box in front of the studio, whether one plus one does indeed equal two, the balance of enjoying a dram, the story behind the Drep and Stone name, street artists Van Gogh, who we'd want to share a drink with, almost breaking the podcast, the need to impress one another, the go to drink, an upset tum tum, the Drep and Stone no go, accidentally deleting something, sharing too much of our lives, how this has strengthened and changed our friendship, and the Drep and Stone favorite whiskey. Wo man solche geilen Keyfacts lernt?
We continue this peat series with another two W2W recommended single malts form Islay.
May the foreshots be with you.
DAVID DANSAR PÅ HAL IS. Olli & Tim
Bunnahabhain is a single malt scotch from the island of Islay. Even though Islay is traditionally known for it's high peat content, Bunnahabhain created a 12 year product that is unpeated. Does this change what it means to be an Islay whisky? Should they add a little peat so it differentiates itself form Speyside? Check out the video to hear the full review! Era poddare kanske är lite rostiga. Hur rostiga? Artikeln David läst: Briggs, Dennis E., ”Malt modification: a century of evolving views”, Journal of the Institute of Brewing 108, nr. 4 (2002), s. 395–405. For developers and other tech professionals, it's even harder to unplug when your profession and personal life are connected to the web. Can developers resist the urge to overwork and embrace non-traditional ways of working? Jason Lengstorf, Host of Learn With Jason, believes "your job doesn't matter". He explores the concept of "grinding" and shares his ideas on the nuances of working long hours and the importance of maintaining a balanced approach. His perspective revolves around the idea that while putting in extra hours to learn and develop skills can be beneficial, overcommitting to work and neglecting other aspects of life can lead to a loss of creativity, identity, and overall well-being. In this episode, Jason talks to Robbie and Chuck about his opinion on popular Twitter tech topics, the effects of grinding in your career, and whether traditional jobs have become obsolete. The 128-year-old family-owned independent bottler stunned the whisky world this week with news that it will stop sourcing new make spirit from other distillers starting next year. Instead, Gordon & MacPhail will focus on single malts from its two distilleries, Benromach and The Cairn in the future. With decades of maturing whisky on hand, the change won't be felt for at least 12 to 15 years and Gordon & MacPhail will continue bottling older whiskies for decades to come. We'll discuss the change in philosophy with G&M managing director Ewen Mackintosh on this week's WhiskyCast In-Depth. On Behind the Label, we'll celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Excise Act of 1823, which directly led to today's Scotch Whisky industry, and we'll have tasting notes for whiskies from Bunnahabhain, Lost Lantern, and Dràm Mòr, too.

Listeners will discover the details of this detrimental screwup and explore the implications it has had on the whisky community. As they relish each sip of the Bunnahabhain 18-year-old, Cole and Robby share their thoughts on the value and allure of whiskies that command a higher price point. They delve into the factors that contribute to a whisky's worth and reveal their personal choices when it comes to investing in exceptional bottles. Tune in to this episode of Chill Filtered, where Cole and Robby continue their quest to explore remarkable whiskies, offer passionate insights, and engage whisky enthusiasts from all corners of the globe.
This episode has a dash of a psychology lesson. Holly thinks everything she tastes is Craigellachie and Charles thinks everything is New World Whisky. The lesson learned: blind tasting does not necessarily get easier! Our minds get in the way! In this episode, you'll watch Holly basically fall apart in her blind tasting while we discuss our upcoming trips to Scotland. Our distillery feature is Kilchoman as Holly prepares for her trip to Islay in two weeks. Did you know Kilchoman and the Wills family are building a rum distillery in Barbados too? That family is so cool. And then, it's a bit of old news but we discuss the Penelope buy-out with MGP. It makes sense for both parties and how impressive after just 5 years. Congrats, Penelope! We're lucky we got all of our single casks when we did and wow were they delicious. Please leave us a review wherever you are listening as well. We appreciate you! Cheers! We're back! Although January & February are supposed to be the retail industry's "down time", we for sure didn't feel that way and we're not even sure why. We have had quite a few amazing Saratoga Whiskey Club classes over the past few weeks and have been focusing on all of our education and travel programs that we're about to launch for 2023. It is really going to be a stellar year of whisky travel. Then, Holly blind tastes Charles on a very special pour because they both deserve it and we discuss one of our favorite Islay distilleries, Bunnahabhain! Enjoy! These notes will be short because this EP99 podcast is simple and focused on a single subject which for the boys is very rare...Talking about Excel and when excel was introduced to the market and how Steve and Marijn thought they would have a great case for moving people from Excel to SharePoint lists and find that maybe there are not many even no, specific reasons to drive users away from excel to M365 ListsThe session turns out to simply select the best examples of using Excel and M365 lists without saying one is better than the other.... It just shows that even the most experienced and best can make mistakes.Steve keeps asking the hard questions, which lead us to understand Lists more and their roles in the M365 ecosystem. The podcast's ending is great because Gianni, who won the One Inch Party, sent over a great sample of Aberfeldy 16 year old, which was worth a taste (he also sent over a sample of Cruach-Mhone from Bunnahabhain), all very much appreciated.

For what may be our last episode of the year (since next weekend in Christmas),Steve is quaffing Bunnahabhain for this week's peaty Islay whisky, mostly in the vain hope that “Bunnahabhain” could be added to the National Spelling Bee, just for grins and giggles. Steve actually turned up for this week's show with three different whiskys in hand (Finlaggan, Lagavulin 8, and Bunnahabhain 12—in other words, Islay All the Way!), along with a sampling of the worst-reviewed whiskys ever, though these reviews pale in comparison to the reviews this episode's panel gives to Democrats just now.
