Welcome to season 9! I am almost to my 200th episode! For this season premiere I am covering Addams Family Values, because I wanted to do a Thanksgiving themed film, well this one is a bit of a stretch but it has a Thanksgiving play in the dead of summer. This film has some unexpected stars as children and others were just early in their career, enjoy seeing them so young. Black Widow Cocktail (zestysouthindiankitchen.com): Ingredients For blackberry juice: 1/2 tablespoon of lemon juice 1/2 cup blackberries For black widow cocktail 1 oz simple syrup 4 oz blackberry juice 2 oz vodka Ice Blackberries for garnish Directions Blackberry juice To make blackberry juice In a blender add black berries and lemon juice and process fine and strain it . Black widow cocktail Then in glass filled ice add blackberry juice, simple syrup and vodka and mix with stir and garnish with blackberries and enjoy If you can get hold of dry ice use it just before serving. Addams Family Values Drinking Game (tumblr.com/filmdrunkies): Drink whenever they say “Debbie.” Drink whenever Morticia and Gomez get frisky. Drink whenever Anjelica slays (e.g. serves you to filth). Drink whenever there is lightning/rain. Drink whenever one of the family members has an unsuccessful encounter with normal people. Take a drink when Cousin It is on screen. Drink whenever Debbie gets grossed out. Similarly, drink whenever Debbie is a bitch. Drink whenever Wednesday freaks out a normal kid. Take a lofty drink when the kids are re-educated. TAKE A SHOT when Gomez and Morticia do their dance number. Drink whenever the main theme song/melody plays. Drink whenever they say “Gomez.” TAKE A SHOT when Debbie says “Move out of the road!” because it is weird and hilarious. Drink whenever the kids try to harm the baby. As always, drink responsibly and with others. Follow or subscribe wherever you listen to the podcast. I recently made some wind protection for my SAAM Microphone in order to get better recordings on windy days. Several people remarked that it looked like Cousin It from the Addams Family, so that's what I've started calling it. I went to Medicine Lake, in Modoc National Forest, on a very cold and windy day in order to test it out, and these are the results. These are the raw files straight from the recorder(Zoom F6) with no editing of any kind. All I did was apply a five second fade to the beginning and end of each clip and combine them into one audio file. The first minute and a half is the mic with only the wind protection I got from the manufacturer, and the second minute and a half is the mic with Cousin It(the wind protection I made). I don't have an anemometer so I can't say exactly what speed the wind was blowing, but I can say that it was blowing pretty hard. I'm guessing the stronger gusts were 25-30 miles per hour(40-48 kilometers per hour). The spot by the lake I did the test was surrounded by Lodgepole Pine, you can clearly hear the wind blowing through them in the background. I was pretty happy with how it worked, Cousin It did a great job of protecting the mic from the wind. I look forward to using Cousin It to get recordings for you without fear of the microphone being overwhelmed by unwanted wind noise. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/soundbynature/support

She's creepy and kooky, mysterious and spooky, and inspired the latest tiktok dance craze, she's Wednesday Addams. Listen in as we discuss Netflix's latest original series, Wednesday, and spoiler alert, it's fantastic. It felt nostalgic and new at the same time with Jenna Ortega providing her own spin to the role and Christina Rucci passing the torch to the new generation. With appearances from the rest of the Addams family, we saw the new interpretations of Gomez, Morticia, Pugley, and the MVP of the series, Thing! Even though Season 2 has yet to be confirmed, we feel this is a no brainer for Netflix and continue to build upon all the new elements introduced from Season 1. Let us know in the comments below what your thoughts were on the show and if you were disappointed as much as we were that Cousin IT did not make an appearance. #wednesday #podcast #addamsfamily #netflix https://linktr.ee/MagicCityPodcast Appease the Algorithm Gods! Charge your electric chairs, grab a bottle of cyanide, and awake the dead, it's time for Halloween!! A.K.A. just a normal day in the Addams house. This week we are back to discuss the happiest scary movie of all times, the 1991 film The Addams Family. Erin and Brennan start on a sneeze but recover to talk a great deal about how much we love Morticia and Gomez, to heck with the rest of the family. But we do ask the question: how are these kids still alive and what is a "Pugsley"? Gushing blood during Hamlet, enjoying a good book of scrapes and scabs, and wishing for a fencing lesson from Gomez. Are your cookies made with real Girl Scouts?? We need to know! Brennan does a spot on rendition of a bad German accent while Erin has a strange infatuation with Cousin It. Will they decide to join the family, or will they join the neighbors and try to shut it all down? *Snap! Snap!*

Original Air Date: Monday 19 April, 9 pm EasternDescription:Phil is back from another emergency trip to Turlock, and Dean is safely ensconced back in Detroit after a trip to Virginia, and after adopting another kitten! Cats get discussed, of course, and in an almost weekly occurrence, “Lord Turlock” issues proclamations. Then your friends in podcasting continue to tackle the appalling, ongoing wave of violence being directed against member of the AAPI community, which somehow leads to a discussion of just one of the problems Phil had with Godzilla vs. Kong. Dean and Phil share a text message from a loyal listener, and celebrate the show business lives of the actor who played "Cousin It", a country-rock hitmaker, and a prolific country songwriter, and wax rhapsodic about the pedal steel guitar! Friend of show Jon Lawlor has another single out and it inspires a conversation about mental health and the messy business of having feelings. Dean and Phil both have feelings about the death (?) of the Arclight and Pacific movie theater chains, and about the controversy surrounding this year's Oscar front-runner for Best Picture, Nomadland. Finally, speaking of the Oscars, Dean and Phil close the proceedings with an Oscar-themed edition of their recent (and apparently popular?) vintage movie ad game!
The trailer for ‘Fast & Furious 9’ is out now, Vin Diesel neighbors in the Dominican Republic say his security is a bit to much, the actor who played ‘Cousin It’ passed away over the weekend, actress Helen McCrory passed away at the age of 52, and Alma Wahlberg, mother of Mark Wahlberg passes away at the age of 78. October means it's time for spooky toons! We've covered our fair share of supposedly scary (but usually just silly) cartoons on the podcast over the years, but somehow we missed out on an all-time classic: The 90s animated series The Addams Family! This ooky, kooky, mysterious, and spooky series came at a time when interest in the titular family -- Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, and Puglsey, with Uncle Fester, Lurch, Thing, Cousin It, and Grandmama -- was running high. The cartoon was released in between the live-action The Addams Family movie and its sequel, Addams Family Values. And everything old is new again as a pair of new animated movies based on the title family is here again, courtesy of MGM. We'll get around to the 2019 feature film at some point (maybe when the sequel arrives next year), but for now, it's back to the 90s to see how The Addams Family holds up.
One of the many downsides of quarantining has been the restrictions on professional grooming. So many of us have not been able to get a hair cut, including May who started referring to herself as “Cousin It” from “The Adams Family”. But recently, one of the hottest celebrity stylists, Anh Co Tran, came to save the day. His jaw-dropping roster of clients includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Anne Hathaway, Aimee Song and Michelle Dockery. May, not only got a new look, but she also had a chance to sit down with Anh and get to know the man behind the glitz and glamor. Anh's story is one about escape, sacrifice, family and passion. At the end of this episode, May also addresses current events including her unfiltered take on the dark COVID-19 milestone, Donald Trump and Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Music by: https://www.bensound.com/

Looking at 'Cousin It', a character from The Adams Family, Dave Belfield asks: "What is your 'it'?" And what do we need to do when 'it' comes into our lives? Dave unpacks a phrase found throughout the Bible: "It came to pass". And looking at a miracle Jesus did, he shows us that, even when we feel stuck in our situation with an uncertain future, "it will come to pass".
In a game of he said, Gritty said, The Philadelphia Flyers googly-eyed Cousin It looking orange mascot is accused of assaulting a 13-year-old fan after said fan was tapping on Gritty's head. Lots of accusations and no proof. But first, The HRC 2020 Corporate Equality Index is released and Harry Hamlin claims his role as a gay man in the 1982 motion picture "Making Love" excluded him from working on pictures ever again. We agree with Hamlin that the movie was way before its time and Hollywood still has a level of homophobia. 026 – Metadata Marketing SYNOPSIS Where do you draw the line between marketing and eavesdropping, or is there a line to be drawn? The collection of metadata and how it affects anyone using any sort of web-related technology is the main topic of discussion in this episode of Marketing RV with Ranalli & Volpe. Marketing RV's second video podcast picks up where Episode 025, Promotional Potpourri, fell short. That is, a detailed discussion about the Netflix's The Great Hack. It all begins with the HBO documentary Citizenfour about NSA whistleblower Ed Snowden, who unveiled how much data the government was keeping on us. Gene says Citizenfour is the precursor to The Great Hack, the documentary about the Facebook/Cambridge Analytica Scandal. Lorraine is skeptical about all of it, but Gene insists that she'll be convinced after watching that these movies are accurate depictions. Ironically, The Great Hack ends with the question, “Are you a persuadable?” In the end, we all have to make our own determination about any news we consume. Gene and Lorraine agree that it is okay to disagree, and they encourage it but are clearly fans of empathy and non-judgment, which seem to be lost in a lot of dialog these days. As for data collection, it's a marketer's dream, making the task of messaging easier. If you like privacy, however, you'd better read the fine print before clicking “OK” online. Check out Episode 3 of the podcast Ask us Anything, where Gene trashes Lorraine. Also, come out to the Moshulu on Penn's Landing in Philadelphia Tuesday, August 27 to be part of the the Marketing RV podcast. Lorraine and Gene have again been invited by Fearless Restaurants to podcast during happy hour, 4:00 p.m. Partnering is a surefire way to promote your brand, which is why we take Marketing RV on the road and talk business with interesting guests. If your business would like to sponsor and host Marketing RV, contact us here. Shout out to Chico's Vibe for the music bed! For Quackcast 294 we all dressed up as members of the Addams Family! Me as Gomez, Banes as Cousin It, Tantz as Morticia, and Pit Joan D'eath. We had a great time and you'll be able to see us all on video! The theme of this Quackcast was based on a newspost by Banes: Comedy and Horror and the relationship between those two things. It's very close. Both try hard to evoke strong emotions and emotional pay-offs. It can be very easy for most horror to devolve into comedy if things go wrong. Many horror tropes are actually pretty silly (i.e. slow walking zombies), which is why there are so many shows that make fun of them like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Munsters, The Cyptkeeper, and the amazing Addams Family! Horror comedy is a tried and true genre. If you're interested read more about that in Bane's newspost. Gunwallace's music for the week is the same as the feature: Miracles. Sam and Doc sit down to discuss the weeks events and drink...alot. We had some skype problems so Keith is ever so briefly on the podcast. Doc gets rained on twice and Sam has his worst day ever. Trust me...this was a really bad day! There is some Doc News dealing with Cousin It and beavers. Sam and Doc are searching for wood to make some S&D Guitars. Sam is being over run by cats and trying to stop a kitty holocaust. Call the comment line at (206) 309-7308. Visit insignificast.com. Skype Insignificast between 9:00pm and 2:00am central Saturday's.
