Is the Dead Internet Theory real? Seems like Facebook is trying to make it happen. They've created AI accounts to engage with people, complete with bios and "family photos." Facebook is creating AI-generated profiles to attract younger users, potentially deceiving advertisers and users about genuine engagement. The "dead internet theory" suggests most online activity is from computers and fake accounts, not real people. Meta's AI profiles raise concerns about online safety, harassment, and misinformation due to unclear labeling and management. Advertisers may be paying for ads viewed by AI-generated accounts rather than real users, leading to potential scams. Meta's lack of transparency about the number of active AI profiles on their platforms fuels uncertainty about genuine user interactions. The experiment with AI-generated profiles was initially a 2023 test but was deleted, leaving questions about remaining undisclosed AI accounts.

You may soon be seeing new engagement on Facebook, but this may not be from human users. Supporters of Donald Trump - including some in the conservative media sphere - have been creating and sharing fake AI images of Donald Trump sitting and talking with black voters. The images are designed to prove that Trump relates to the African American community, and many voters have already been fooled by the authenticity of the images, believing that they are real.Also, Donald Trump's assets could begin being seized as early as next week, according to former federal prosecutor Joyce Vance. Trump has less than a week to pay the $83 million bond from the E. Jean Carroll defamation lawsuit (or to pay the amount to her in full), and since he seems to be struggling to put up the cash, the lawyers in the case might be given the go-ahead to seize properties to pay off the debt next week. And the Republican caucus in Missouri took place over the weekend, and according to Nikki Haley's voters, it was a scary experience. Reports say that Haley's supporters at one polling arena were asked to line up in the middle of the auditorium to be counted, and at that point the Trump supporters in the room began screaming and yelling at the Haley people, creating a tense few moments of absolute fear and panic. Finally, as Donald Trump's mental decline becomes even more pronounced, a petition has begun circulating online asking mental health professionals to sign on and declare that Trump does, in fact, seem to be suffering from dementia.
