Bij de Raad voor de Journalistiek ergens op een derde verdieping in Amsterdam Zuid Oost, vond op 15 november 2024 een besloten hoorzitting plaats tussen ondernemer en publicist Rutger van den Noort en namens het dagblad NRC de plaatsvervangend hoofdredacteur (dhr. Garschagen), de NRC ombudsman (dhr. Fortuin) en de journalist (dhr. Hinke). De zitting was besloten en mocht niet worden gefilmd, maar van den Noort mocht wel één persoon, dat werd ondergetekende, meenemen. Dit is het video interview dat ik direct na afloop met van den Noort heb opgenomen.Geschilpunt was de publicatie van een citaat waarvoor van den Noort geen toestemming had gegeven. Hinke benaderde van den Noort eerder dit jaar voor een artikel waaraan hij werkte over Minister Klever (PVV) van Buitenlandse Handel en Ontwikkelingshulp, waarop van den Noort zei “ik doe niet mee”. Na entrevista, Garschagen fala a respeito da confusão existente entre direitos e privilégios, tema central do livro que acaba de publicar. Para o cientista político, desde a Constituição de 1988, “existe uma dinâmica que se expressa na ideia de que a sociedade brasileira tem direitos e não busca esses direitos”. Para o cientista político Bruno Garschagen, a principal resposta não está relacionada somente à rejeição ao partido de Lula. Segundo ele, uma parcela importante da sociedade brasileira já nutria uma expectativa por partidos e candidatos que representassem valores de direita. "Essa agenda foi capitalizada por Bolsonaro e os candidatos que se elegeram com apoio dele", analisa Garschagen, convidado do episódio de hoje. Edição desta quarta-feira analisa o cenário eleitoral ouvindo o cientista político Bruno Garschagen. Ele é autor do best seller “Pare de Acreditar no Governo - Por que os Brasileiros não Confiam nos Políticos e Amam o Estado”. Para ele, Lula, além de não conseguir disputar as eleições, dificilmente será um bom transferidor de votos em outubro. Bruno também vê com bons olhos o maior número de candidatos no espectro da direita, com Jair Bolsonaro (PSL), João Amoêdo (Novo) e Flávio Rocha – caso o empresário consiga se viabilizar politicamente. De acordo com Garschagen, essa linha mais liberal de pensamento, em especial na área econômica, já está mais presente nos debates. Conversamos com o cientista político e escritor Bruno Garschagen, autor do livro “Pare de acreditar no governo”, recentemente publicado pela editora Record. Na entrevista, Garschagen fala a respeito da pesquisa que fundamentou o livro, indicando como e quando o Estado se agigantou a ponto de se tornar fundamental segundo a percepção majoritária da sociedade brasileira. Ao mesmo tempo, o autor observa que os brasileiros conseguem enxergar os políticos como responsáveis pelas promessas frustradas e pelos escândalos de corrupção. Ao analisar essa contradição, Garschagen comenta que ocorre uma espécie de separação do governo em relação aos políticos, “como se esse governo não fosse formado por esses mesmos políticos”. Apesar do atual cenário de crise política, Garschagen é otimista em relação às ideias que começam a questionar a “terceirização” da responsabilidade individual. “Quanto mais o Estado cresce, mais as pessoas delegam ao Estado a responsabilidade de conduzir as suas próprias vidas”. No dia 5 janeiro de 2012, quando o primeiro Podcast do Instituto Mises Brasil foi publicado, era difícil ter certeza quanto à longevidade deste trabalho. Ainda se tinha a impressão de que os brasileiros interessados pela Escola Austríaca, liberalismo e libertarianismo caberiam todos numa Kombi. Mas à medida que os podcasts eram publicados, mais nomes eram acrescentados à lista inicial e mais pessoas em vários cantos do país desenvolviam trabalhos acadêmicos, crivam grupos de estudos e promoviam eventos para divulgar e defender as ideias da liberdade. O tempo passava, a lista aumentava e o Podcast avançava mostrando aos liberais, libertários e austríacos do país quem eram os liberais, libertários e austríacos que realizavam algo relevante. E eis que chegamos ao centésimo Podcast. Para celebrar o Podcast de nº 100, o entrevistado é o criador do programa, o empreendedor intelectual Bruno Garschagen, numa conversa comandada por Cristiano Chiocca, economista, empresário e vice-presidente do Instituto Mises Brasil. Nesta entrevista, Garschagen fala sobre o objetivo e o desenvolvimento do programa nesses quase dois anos de publicação semanal ininterrupta. E também conta quais foram as entrevistas mais polêmicas e os fatos mais marcantes (como a ponte cultural com Portugal e com a Galícia) neste que já se tornou um dos podcasts mais importantes no cenário Austríaco e liberal de língua portuguesa. Mestre em Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais pelo Instituto de Estudos Políticos da Universidade Católica Portuguesa e Universidade de Oxford (visiting student), comentarista político, tradutor (O Fim do Fed - Por que Acabar com o Banco Central, de Ron Paul, e Uma Teoria do Socialismo e do Capitalismo, de Hans-Hermann Hoppe) e membro do conselho editorial da MISES: Revista Interdisciplinar de Filosofia, Direito e Economia, Garschagen observa que de 2009 até agora, o crescimento do interesse e da participação direta de pessoas na divulgação das ideias da liberdade foi extraordinário, e isso ajudou diretamente o Podcast. “Muitas pessoas fizeram a diferença ao abandonar o discurso pessimista e adotar um plano de ação com objetivos definidos e cujos resultados estão sendo colhifos em 2013. Isso mostra que apesar das dificuldades e certa dominação ideológica nos departamentos universitários, há caminhos para se abrir espaços. Basta trabalhar de forma criativa e inteligente e não se deixar abater com os percalços”. Neste podcast, Garschagen também fala sobre se há ou não uma natureza utópica na defesa de uma sociedade de leis privadas e do estado mínimo. Utopia política é o tema, inclusive, da sua tese de mestrado que será publicada em livro no primeiro semestre de 2014. “E também assinei contrato recentemente com a Editora Record, a convite do editor Carlos Andreazza, para escrever um livro. Mas, por enquanto, não posso revelar o tema nem o título. O que posso dizer é que já iniciei as pesquisas e começo a escrevê-lo em dezembro. E acredito que pelo assunto e a abordagem que escolhi, o livro interessará aos defensores e amigos das ideias da liberdade, incluindo aí, claro, os leitores do IMB e os ouvintes deste Podcast”.
