For this conversation, I'm delighted to welcome my friend, psychologist and professor Keith Witt, one of the thinkers I most admire; and in this episode we'll have Carla, Chie's integrator, as our co-host. Keith introduces us to Turquoise Psychology or Metapsychology, based on Ken Wilber's integral theory - which brings a new mode of discourse! A person who sees through the lens of integral theory understands multiple perspectives of the world and has the ability to reflect on themselves, with their shadows and emotions. In order to take on the color turquoise, we need to be in contact with another person who is also at a high level of consciousness, because it is in this engagement that a metalanguage is established, observing our regulation at every moment. Keith points out that our - wise self - needs to be encouraged, and as we advance in development, we can learn to have this as our central sense, and that makes all the difference. The invitation here is to understand that human development is not linear - it involves both the construction and deconstruction of the ego! “ There is no doubt that the answer to the metacrisis is in the evolution of consciousness.”
Ep. 169 (Part 2 of 2) | Integral psychologist Keith Witt can't get enough of the magic and beauty that happens in relationships as people begin to develop what he calls “a post-issue consciousness.” He explains that when our executive self, our wise self or witness, kicks in and forges a caring connection with the places where we hold our hurt and our traumas, then integration and healing start to happen, eventually with almost no conscious energy expenditure. “My job is to help people develop the witness,” Keith says, so they can observe their defensive or destructive states and reach for compassionate understanding, for themselves, for their partner, and for others.Keith tells us the three foundations of the modern marriage are friendship, a love affair, and an ability to resolve issues that come up, and says the shift to a post-issue relationship happens when all three facets become intentional. “Post-issue couples don't let things get in the way of their love,” he says. Throughout the conversation, Keith shares a goldmine of therapeutic wisdom on the subject of relationships, including the client/therapist relationship, and in true Integral fashion, he includes perspectives from all sorts of interesting angles, such as our evolutionary development, neural development, and moral and spiritual development. This discussion is warm, friendly, cheerful, lively, and chock full of useful information and insights. Keith's excitement about the evolutionary directionality of human relationships is contagious and inspiring. Watch the full episode here: https://integrallife.com/breaking-the-cycle-drama-problem-solving-and-relational-mastery/ In this episode, Corey deVos and Dr. Keith Witt explore one of the most common yet misunderstood aspects of human interaction: the tension between drama and problem-solving. They dive deeply into the "Drama Triangle," a psychological framework that reveals how the roles of victim, rescuer, and persecutor trap us in cycles of dysfunction. These dynamics, while often personal, are also embedded in cultural systems, politics, and even therapy itself. Drawing from integral theory, Keith explains how drama is a signal of relational disconnection and unmet needs, while problem-solving is a path of self-awareness, connection, and growth. They discuss how therapy provides a transformative space by balancing unconditional acceptance with clear expectations for change, helping clients shift from reactive drama to creative problem-solving. Through rich examples—including Keith's personal stories and reflections—they illuminate the emotional and relational signals that help us recognize when we're stuck in drama and how to move beyond it. Key themes include: - The power of self-awareness to shift from reactive drama to empowered problem-solving. - How relational disconnection is often the first problem to solve in any relationship. - The interplay of cultural narratives, such as green postmodernism, in amplifying cycles of victimhood and blame. - Why integrating emotional connection (relating) with practical resolution (problem-solving) creates transformative relationships. - The role of emotional signals, such as urgency or secrecy, in identifying drama dynamics. Whether you're navigating complex relationships, exploring personal growth, or grappling with cultural and systemic challenges, this episode offers practical insights and profound perspective shifts. Join Corey and Keith as they unpack the patterns that keep us stuck and the practices that help us grow.

Watch the full discussion here: https://integrallife.com/the-art-of-integral-conversation Dr. Keith Witt and Corey deVos explore the concept of “turquoise dialectic” – a sophisticated form of integral discourse that emerges at the later stages of human development. Drawing upon their deep understanding of adult development and integral theory, they explore the feeling and transformative potential of the turquoise “we-space”, and how we might create the conditions for this type of conversation to unfold. What is a “turquoise dialectic”? The term “dialectic” originates in ancient Greece, signifying the various methods of reasoning and discussion in order to discover the truth. It is most often associated with the work of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, whose well-known process of “thesis, antithesis, synthesis” is often regarded as a fundamental aspect of integral thinking and sense-making. In this discussion, we refer to the term “dialectic” to represent a fluid, multidimensional form of discourse that acknowledges the constructed nature of all perspectives, and seeks to both situate and synthesize those perspectives (and their associated methods of knowing) into a more coherent understanding of reality — consciously inquiring into the frameworks and assumptions that shape our perceptions and understandings of the world around us. This kind of Turquoise discourse facilitates the emergence of new forms of consciousness, co-creating novel ways of being and understanding that align with the interdependence and mystery of existence. Communication becomes a sacred practice of conscious participation in the evolution of humanity and the kosmos, demanding radical humility, transparency, and a release of fixed identities. Participants continually challenge themselves to expand awareness, embrace paradox, and open to the unknown, engaging in an ongoing exploration of the frontiers of human potential. How do we set the conditions for a turquoise dialectic? Imagine that every conversation is something like a poker game, where the players decide the rules before each hand. If you've got five players at the table, and each is coming from an Amber stage of development, then the rules will be set up according to Amber-stage views and values, and it will basically be an Amber game. If all the players are Turquoise, you'll get turquoise rules, a turquoise game, and therefore a turquoise we-space. It's as simple as that! Or is it? Human beings, after all, are far more complicated than this. We are not developmental stereotypes, we instead possess an entire stack of evolutionary intelligences within us — all of which are constantly growing and adapting, and any of which we may be inhabiting at a given time, depending on the context we find ourselves in. Turquoise people can happily play Red games, Amber games, Orange games, and so forth, because all of these stages are still alive within them. The trick, therefore, is not just getting the right people to the table, but also establishing the right rules and norms that are most conducive to turquoise enfoldment. Of course, these are not the sorts of strict rules and regulations that we might find in an Amber game. They are rather a series of basic guardrails, orienting generalizations, and attractor points that can help the group to self-organize, participants to self-regulate, and the dialectic itself to self-govern. It's about “rigging the game” so that authentic transformation, deep empathy, and collective sense-making become the winning strategies, allowing us to create a space together that invites and includes all of us, and all of the multitudes we contain, while guiding us toward our highest and wisest possible Self.

Full discussion: https://integrallife.com/cancelled-the-battle-for-free-speech-in-the-integral-age/ In this thought-provoking episode, Keith Witt and Corey delve into the complex and contentious issue of cancel culture, examining its implications for free speech, academic freedom, and social cohesion. They explore why understanding the nuances of cancel culture is crucial in today's polarized environment and how an Integral perspective can provide a holistic view that embraces complexity, encourages growth, and seeks balance. This approach helps make sense of the divisive issues at hand by considering multiple dimensions of human experience and societal structures, aiming to find pathways toward more inclusive and constructive discourse. Dr. Keith brings to the conversation a deep analysis of the psychological and cultural dynamics at play within cancel culture, emphasizing the importance of embracing dialectic engagement — a method of conversation that seeks to integrate opposing views — to foster our personal and collective evolution. He also highlights the ways in which educational and professional institutions have become battlegrounds for ideological conflict, the detrimental effects of cancel culture on academic freedom, and the necessity for individuals to embody their principles courageously. Corey, meanwhile, focuses on some of the core polarities at play in our cultural regression toward illiberalism, noting how the decentralization of information in the social media era inevitably fragments our sense of shared reality, and amplifies perspectives that are as divisive as they are diverse. He describes how the democratization of information results in an overall diminishment of our collective discourse, allowing pre-rational views and narratives to flood into our informational terrains. This in turn provokes something like a collective defense mechanism in the rest of society as our shared standards of inclusion and exclusion recalibrate to these new realities, often resulting in an unfortunate overcorrection toward illiberal solutions. This episode offers a rich and nuanced exploration of cancel culture through the lens of Integral Theory. Keith and Corey's insights illuminate the complex interplay between individual beliefs, cultural dynamics, and systemic structures, underscoring the importance of fostering open dialogue, critical thinking, and empathy to navigate the challenges of the postmodern media era we find ourselves in.
Just how important are relationships, really, to our health and happiness? What about to our sense of emotional and spiritual growth and fulfillment? We can trace the influence of intimacy on human development through evolution all the way back to the Big Bang. Humans are social in a way unlike anything else in the universe. The complexity, beauty and possibility of the many forms of human relationships have been a lifelong passion and pursuit of Dr. Keith Witt, pioneering integral psychotherapist, author and teacher. We met Dr. Keith in the first part of his conversation with Aviv Shahar, on the hero's journey from “Trauma to Transcendence”. In part two of their conversation, Dr. Keith traces his own healing journey through early trauma, and the influence of the martial arts in his embrace of the complementary natures of the warrior and the healer. He reveals the inspiration behind his teaching and writing, and the experiences that helped form his core understanding that “everything is relationships”. Along the way, Dr. Keith also has deepened awareness of many dimensions of the human's higher, universal nature and the ongoing evolution of consciousness. Among his insights, professional and personal:If we feel shame, return to the core value and either follow it, discard it, or modify and grow it to better fit what we believe is beautiful, good and true in the present moment. This is how moral systems grow.Research shows that having a secure primary relationship — taking care of your friendship and your love affair, resolving issues with each other — leads to the happiest, healthiest humans and families. In revealing the power of belief, research shows that the form of treatment isn't as crucial as the therapist or practitioner doing something they believe in; clients or patients get healthier. Is there a spiritual impulse in teaching or therapy? To the extent you understand the secrets of the universe, and don't share them, you suffer. It's distressing not to share what we believe to be effective.Attunement is the organizing principle; it's being aware with acceptance and caring intent, first of ourselves — our breath, sensations, emotion, thoughts, judgment and desire.Fields exist outside of us that send flashes of insight through dreams and ideas. We access them when we surrender ourselves to service and to the beautiful, good and true. This conversation is part of the continuing Portals discovery into what is emerging on the frontiers of human experience in this time of profound change. TWEETABLE QUOTES “And weirdly, having a deep understanding of people's interiors makes you a better martial artist. Martial artists are very peaceful. It would require an awful lot to have me do violence to another person. So they're complementary systems.” (Dr. Keith Witt) “I enjoy teaching, and when I taught, people really enjoyed hearing about it, which was very gratifying. Some of it was just ego. But most of it wasn't. Most of it was that to the extent you understand the secrets of the universe and don't share them, you suffer. I was distressed about not sharing this stuff.” (Dr. Keith Witt) “If you reverse engineer our success with each other it tracks with the best social research that's been done on this which is by John Gottman and his group up in Seattle. It's pretty straightforward. You know a couple who cherish each other and are grateful for each other tend to do great. If they cherish each other and are grateful for each other and they put attention into their friendship and their love affair, intention into their friendship and their love affair, and then their ability to resolve and to heal injuries - they do great. They are the masters of intimacy, and they describe themselves as happy and they're happier and they're healthier.” (Dr. Keith Witt) RESOURCES MENTIONED Portals of Perception WebsiteAviv's LinkedIn Aviv's TwitterAviv's WebsiteDr. Keith's Website
Is it a big stretch to think of struggling with trauma as part of a hero's journey? Or is it integral for the hero's transformation? How do we metabolize feeling weak or diminished by fear, anxiety and pain from traumatic events that at times can seem beyond our ability to cope? What if we understood that even the willingness to face a trauma will stimulate the parts of the brain responsible for resilience and, over time, build strength and courage? Advances in neuroscience have shed light on some of the brain's hidden functions in times of pain and trauma, and the resulting influences on our responses and behavior. Moving through the phases of healing trauma is what builds the road to our eventual transformation. We apply emerging new wisdom and strength to reconcile and reshape our experiences with trauma, and perhaps inspire others on their own healing odyssey. A real hero's journey. Unraveling the nature of trauma and its healing is the focus of this conversation between Aviv Shahar and Dr. Keith Witt, an internationally known integral psychotherapist, teacher and author of 15 books. Keith has conducted over 70,000 therapy sessions, written hundreds of blog posts, and appeared on numerous podcasts, including his own, The Shrink and The Pundit, and Witt & Wisdom.Among their insights:Conventional wisdom has been we're all born equal and then the environment shapes us. Research has proved that to be entirely and dramatically wrong.Trauma is a natural part of the experience of life; it's completely integral to the development journey. There are ways to work with trauma to facilitate our growth.A human being accessing their inherent “superpowers” to love and grow will get better, become more loving, and grow on whatever line they're investing in. That's the gift of consciousness.Once you lie to yourself, you do violence to yourself; you lie to somebody else, you do violence to another person. That's not real compassion; it's a defensive state masquerading as compassion. The essence of trauma learning has been being a victim and not having power. The essence of resilience is having agency, and living as if the rest of humanity are your companions, not your enemies. The culture is self-organizing away from comprehensive communication and towards confrontation. But conversation produces progress and solves problems.I am hopeful about humanity because all across the world people are dialed in, not just to spirituality, but also science, and to vast networks of incredible help and resources. It's a great time to be alive. This conversation is part of the continuing Portals discovery into what is emerging on the frontiers of human experience in this time of profound change. TWEETABLE QUOTES “Anybody who does psychotherapy works with trauma, and there's been wonderful systems generated in the last 30 years for treating trauma, normalizing it, studying it, and so on. There's been a lot of neurobiology research, and I study a lot. It's one of the pleasures of my life to study systems, and I practice a lot of therapy, and I realized that the field didn't realize that trauma work proceeds through four stages. People intuitively understood it. If you talk to anybody in the field, say, Bessel van der Kolk or Francine Shapiro, some of those people if you teased it out, they would basically end up talking about these four stages, and I felt like an integral understanding of those four stages was important for psychotherapists because the principles are different in different stages.” (Dr. Keith Witt) “So, when you are practicing awareness with acceptance and caring intent for your interior experience, you're activating circuits in your frontal cortex, particularly your right frontal cortex, that are self-regulatory circuits. If you do that daily for a month, stem cells will divide into daughter cells and become integrative neurons that hardwire self-regulatory circuits from the front of the cerebral cortex back to the amygdala and hippocampus. So, all contemplative work creates the neural territory to be able to self-regulate. That's an important central feature of many systems.” (Dr. Keith Witt) “Dialed in means I feel comfortable in my life; I feel in charge of doing what I need to do; I feel confident and competent; I feel like my life works for me and I work for my life. My relationships are working for me, and so on. It's just that I'm in harmony with my life dialed in, integral mindfulness.” (Dr. Keith Witt) RESOURCES MENTIONED Portals of Perception WebsiteAviv's LinkedIn Aviv's TwitterAviv's WebsiteDr. Keith's Website
Explore the profound intersection of consciousness, responsibility, and human relationships. https://integrallife.com/why-greater-depth-means-greater-responsibility Watch as Dr. Keith Witt and Corey deVos delve into the profound interdependence between human development and responsibility, exploring how our deepening self-awareness shapes our relationships and societal roles in an ever-evolving world. At the heart of the discussion is the compelling notion that as we evolve in our understanding and self-awareness, we bear a greater onus to guide, uplift, and positively influence those around us. This responsibility is especially important in the realm of relationships, where the path to trust and understanding is often fraught with challenges, yet rich with opportunities for growth. This episode delves deep into Keith's concept of the “Wise Self,” an intrinsic wellspring of wisdom and insight that transcends mere life experiences. The talk also addresses the often-unseen barriers we erect, from “fortresses of hostile beliefs” to societal pressures, and offers insights into dismantling these barriers for genuine connection and understanding. This discussion is not just a reflection on consciousness and relationships; it's a call to action. It challenges listeners to introspect, to recognize and nurture their innate wisdom, and to actively engage in practices that foster growth, empathy, and authentic connection. Listen to the full discussion here: https://integrallife.com/the-art-and-science-of-the-intentional-love-affair/ Our intimate relationships are typically the most important, challenging, transformative, frustrating, and fulfilling parts of our lives. Every relationship is a testament to the “miracle of we” — somehow, out of billions of people on the planet, we find each other, we share all of our hidden parts with each other, and we create entire new realities between us. And these relationships are never static. They are constantly shifting, morphing, and evolving as we both grow together, or as we grow apart from each other. And the more intentionality we can bring to our relationships, the greater the chances that our intimacy can not only survive the inevitable challenges and frictions of our lives, but actually thrive because of them. In this thought-provoking episode, Dr. Keith Witt and Corey deVos delve into the intricacies of intimate relationships, exploring the concept of “intentional love affairs” and how they can be cultivated to deepen connection and intimacy. They discuss the importance of fostering better friendships, nurturing love affairs, and developing the ability to solve problems so effortlessly that they may not even appear as conflicts to others. Watch the full episode here: https://integrallife.com/what-makes-us-happy-growing-toward-anti-fragility/ In this captivating episode of Witt and Wisdom, Dr. Keith Witt and Corey deVos engage in a thought-provoking dialogue that addresses the critical themes from Jonathan Haidt's and David Brooks' recent articles on the mental health of young liberals and the self-destructive effects of progressive sadness. Both Haidt and Brooks examine the increasing rates of anxiety, depression, and despair among young people, particularly in liberal communities, and the potentially maladaptive nature of their mindset. The conversation delves into the complexities of mental health and resilience among young people, emphasizing the powerful concept of anti-fragility and its role in balancing the poles of fragility and resilience, with the ultimate goal of addressing these primary pain points. Drawing inspiration from Haidt's and Brooks' articles, Witt and deVos explore the different happiness strategies associated with each stage of cognitive development, including creating community, practicing empathy and compassion, and pursuing personal transformation. By understanding and applying these approaches, individuals can effectively strive for progress, self-improvement, material success, empathy, and social justice throughout their lives. The dialogue also highlights the importance of adult guidance and mentorship in nurturing young people's development. As teenagers face unique challenges and seek autonomy, it's vital for adults to recognize the inherent tension between providing guidance and allowing young people the freedom to navigate their own paths. By offering support and challenge tailored to each individual's needs, parents, teachers, and mentors can help cultivate healthy growth and resilience in the next generation. Please join Keith and Corey in this enriching dialogue, as they bring forth an integral perspective on the pressing issue of mental health and resilience among youth, and explore the transformative potential of anti-fragility and the happiness strategies that can empower us to create a brighter future for ourselves and the generations to come.

In this episode of the Shrink and the Pundit, Dr. Keith Witt and I discuss a powerful realization emerging at the leading edge of culture regarding the role of trauma in our lives. Dr. Keith is writing a book on the subject and has mined various psychotherapeutic modalities to create an integral approach to using trauma as a portal to health and higher consciousness. In our wide-ranging conversation we address: Trauma and resilience as forms of memory * The differences – and similarities – between ongoing trauma and “major event” traumas such as accidents, violence and illness * Trauma through human history * Sensitive vs sensitized: the healthy and unhealthy poles of postmodern consciousness * What child-centered parenting misses * The biological drive to have a spiritually-awakened brain * Updating your autobiographical narratives * Trauma and the self-transforming mind. I really loved this conversation and I hope you do, too! – Jeff Salzman

“Observe with interest” is one of the nuggets of wisdom I say repeatedly thanks to my guest joining us today, Dr. Keith Witt. He teaches us that we can observe stories through an outside perspective, and when we do it with interest there are gifts just waiting for us. Dr. Witt is a licensed psychologist, teacher, author, and story practitioner who lives and breathes in story every day of his life. He and I discuss the liberating and self-limiting stories in all our lives and the importance of feeling enchanted with whatever narrative we tell about ourselves and the world around us. You'll hear about why transitioning from a negative to a positive story is a more complicated choice than it seems. We dig deep into the stories in our dreams and explore how dreams influence the narratives we share when we are awake plus we discuss techniques to interact with our dreams. Dr. Keith and I unpack why people can often feel resistance to telling, accepting, or sharing new stories. Get ready as Dr. Witt and I go deep in this mind-blowing episode! What you will learn in this episode: How our dreams impact the stories we tell ourselves What it takes to shift your story permanently How to harness your dreams to impact your life stories Who is Dr. Keith Witt? Dr. Keith Witt is an integral psychotherapist with over 65,000 sessions of 1 on 1 therapy. He has chosen the path of the warrior and healer, spending much of his youth engaged with martial arts and therapy work. He is a wise elder and one with whom I resonate with deeply. We discuss how the masculine is drawn towards violence and how to integrate it in a healthy fashion.
Keith is a licensed clinical psychologist, lecturer and author dedicated to studying, teaching, and creating transformative healing systems. He has been practicing psychotherapy in Santa Barbara, California for over 40 years. He decided to become a psychotherapist at the early age of 15, when he entered therapy himself and realized it was, in many ways, a natural language––a native tongue––to him. He knew immediately that he wanted to participate and contribute, not just as a client but also as therapist and teacher. He has been exploring and following that instinct ever since.I love listening to Keith talk, I truly feel like I'm listening to the wisdom of an elder. In this episode we talk about:- Shame and shaming culture but also the useful aspects of shame- We talk about the warrior archetype and it's evolution- Neurobiology and nervous system mirroring- How our nervous systems are looking for role models- The shadow and it's forms- Keith's death rebirth cycle from electroshock treatment as a teenager- Is Trump a narcissist or a psychopath?- As well as various aspects of evolutionary psychologyCheck this one out for sure!
Dr. Keith Witt is a psychotherapist and integral theorist. This conversation was powerful because I could feel the transmission of wise-elder energy in my body even through the video call. We discuss what integral theory is and how once you know the system, it is easy to see everywhere. We explore his optimism for the future amid the despair of the world currently. We finish by discussing how one develops a relationship to spirituality and the role of shamanism in our species' past.
I've finally done it. I've recorded an interview that should not be played in the workplace. It's perfect for the car ride home or a weekend getaway with your partner. Today integral psychotherapist Dr Keith Witt joins Jeff for a look at the human brain. Dr Keith shares new research about brain health and specific actions we can take to maintain cognitive capacities into elderhood. They discuss the various types of dementia and Alzheimer’s, the most current understandings of their causes, as well as some surprising and simple ways we can keep our brains operating efficiently and adaptively.
Today Jeff talks with integral psychotherapist Dr. Keith Witt about the arising of big data and its effect on our individual and collective psyches. They share their insights on the fascinating new book, Everybody Lies: Big Data, New Data and What the Internet Can Tell Us About Who We Really Are. Keith and Jeff discuss: How technology (LR quadrant) and culture (LL quadrant) power evolve in tandem How we deceive ourselves and each other about about sex and self-image – and how we get real How transparency normalizes previously marginalized behavior, in a good way (as Dr. Keith says, “The standard of, ‘Would I do this act if everyone was watching?' adds a whole new dimension to moral development.”). How to bring discriminating wisdom to today's world of fake (and true) news
Jeff talks with Dr. Keith Witt about the great consciousness raising our culture is going through regarding sexual harassment. Dr Keith's prescription for a healthier, safer future: more sex! He advocates for a pro-sex culture where sexuality is normalized from childhood, where power dynamics are above board, and where sexual polarity is given its full, juicy expression in a container of mutual adult consent.
Dr. Keith Witt talks to Jeff Salzman about the negative effects today's polarized politics are having upon people's psychological health, and the strategies you need to become more resilient — and less reactive — to the many stresses of our time. Topics include: The psychological effects of Donald Trump's “bully” style of leadership, and how to counter those effects. Clearing up the confusion between the notions of resilience and of sensitization. How to create and play with polarity, without allowing yourself to become politically polarized. Caution against slipping into the sort of leftist overreach that is largely responsible for the rise of Trump in the first place. Encouragement to become more civically engaged in our political systems.
In this episode of Shrink and Pundit, integral psychotherapist Dr Keith Witt and I talk about how intimacy, longevity and happiness are programmed into the human genome, and accessible to all of us. But at a cost. Keith recently participated in an extraordinary conference called Plenitude near Sintra, Portugal. The conference brought together experts from around the world to explore a multidimensional approach to aging well. Join us in our discussion of some surprising and not so surprising data about the current state of longevity research and how it relates to intimacy and happiness from an AQAL perspective.
Life is wounding. For some of us our wounds are inflicted in the form of major traumas such as a serious injury, painful divorce, career failure or act of abuse or violence. More often, however, we are merely called on to suffer the slings and arrows of everyday life, which can also leave their mark. Contemporary psychology has revealed two major insights into trauma. One is that trauma is pervasive: two-thirds of Americans report experiencing a major trauma in their lives. The other is that trauma is toxic, often kicking off lifetime patterns of depression, anxiety and addiction. One study showed that people who suffer six or more of ten different categories of adverse events lived on average twenty years less that people who had had experienced none of those categories of adverse events. Whether large or little, some trauma is inevitable and necessary for healthy development. Shocks and setbacks shape who we are and can provide the opportunity to develop resilience and a larger perspective.
Men who are conscious of their sexual shadows at work are better leaders. They are less likely to do stupid things like sexually harass women or have illicit affairs. By spending less energy fighting their shadows, they can use their human superpowers to do good things like build great teams and guide them toward a […] The post Episode 66: Men's Sexual Shadow At Work With Keith Witt [The Amiel Show] appeared first on .
The Shrink and the Pundit is an ongoing discussion between Jeff and his longtime friend, Dr. Keith Witt, a leading Integral psychotherapist. In this podcast they explore the topic of self-love. Dr. Keith traces the relationship that each of us has with our own “self-sense” from birth (actually gestation), when we fall from the paradise of the womb and begin the process of growth into ever new worlds of conditional love. That pattern continues until we reach higher stages of development, where a more integrated sense of self is able to love what has previously been in shadow. Listen in as Jeff and Dr. Keith discuss how to cultivate “a warm sense of oneness with yourself as being good, caring and beautiful.”
