This week, Drewby and Yergy head down to Massachusetts, to discuss the case of Marlon and La'Son Brito, two adorable little boys living with their mother, Latarsha, in a third-floor apartment of a multi-family home located at 247 Prospect Street in Brockton. But after Latarsha spirals down a rabbit hole into a world of conspiracy theories and the occult, the two little boys are murdered in a bizarre "voodoo ritual." Reflection means careful consideration, fixing the thoughts on something, and meditation. The original meaning of the word was to fold back, bend back. We should actively reflect if we are truly following CHRIST, then we cannot simply continue as we were a month ago, a year ago, or a decade ago. We have been called by Christ into a life of growth, GOD'S way. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/tasha-mack9/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/tasha-mack9/support
You know the saying that if a love is meant for you, it will always find its way back to you? Some love stories can be heavy, but they always reveal the strongest relationships of all. On this Love in America, I am honored to join Kenneth and Latarsha Haughton as I listen to the story of how their love unraveled and persevered throughout many different stages of life. As next-door neighbors and high school sweethearts, Kenneth and Latarsha were inseparable and the best of friends. Yet what Kenneth didn't know was the darkness Latarsha was truly enduring behind closed doors. After years of separation, growth, and transformation, the couple had found themselves in each other's arms once again, and this time, free from the heavy baggage Latarsha was forced to carry. Now after five years of happy marriage, Latarsha and Kenneth have a beautiful story to tell, as they allow God to be the foundation of their relationship, and are open to sharing their journey of struggles and joy. “Kenneth was my safe space.”

In this week's episode I am chatting with Dr. LaTarsha Holden, and her story is a serious inspiration. Twelve years ago, LaTarsha and her six children found themselves homeless. Fast forward to today and their life couldn't look any more removed from that place. They are all thriving - not to mention LaTarsha has a Doctorate in Leadership Studies, is the author of thirteen books, and an inspirational speaker. She shares her story and how she taught her kids the importance of service, and how they had the power to re-write their own story. They had nothing, were living in squatters' housing, and they found ways to practice acts of service each and every day. These lessons, and how LaTarsha found the strength to move beyond her situation and decide that she wanted more, make for one of the most incredible and admirable stories I have heard. This episode is packed with inspiration and wisdom that will show you that anything is possible. For the full show notes, LaTarsha's bio and contact info, go to www.momcamplife.com/podcast.

In this episode, I have a chat with Coach Latarsha Horne, one of my favorite coaches in the whole world. Coach Tarsh is also a person that I deeply admire, and someone from whom I had the distinct privilege of getting coached in a peer coaching round for ICF. Coach Tarsh drops so much knowledge and wisdom throughout the whole episode. Some of my favorite moments are her explanation of how to build a sensible, implementable initative, what she thinks are the gaps in DEI efforts right now, and, last but certainly not the least, her explanation of motivation vs. inspiration. I bet that in itself is going to change your worldview on its head! Dr. Latarsha D. Holden is HOLDEN IT ALL TOGETHER — Holden is famously known as an emerging leader in the Atlanta-metropolitan area, in large part because of her keen passion for education, a notable attribute that arose after she earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Biblical Education and then followed that up with having earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Leadership and Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration degree. http://genuineexpressions.life

Latarsha helps us to understand coaching and how it can help us. "A coach is a thinking partner." This interview helps us to understand how to really help others rather than being an answer person or a fixer. "If you tell me what to do, then that's effective in the moment. But if you can provide me with a path, a set of steps I can take and I can figure it out myself, then I can self-solve going forward." Being an entrepreneur can be lonely, even if competent staff surround you. The daily decisions to make are innumerable, the pressure is high and giving up is not an option. Sometimes you just need a sounding board or a person in a neutral position on the outside of your business to confide in. It’s during these moments when we can benefit from coaching. In this episode, Latarsha Horne, a Certified Professional Coach, explains the benefits of coaching. Learn how she tapped into her natural talents and combined them with her career as a corporate instructional designer to build a successful coaching business. She also defines the key difference between a business coach and a consultant and shares nine specific things you need to take into consideration before hiring a coach. Sometimes clarity is all you need to solidify your business infrastructure.
