Right after +2, in the early 2000s, he left Nepal for Texas to build a life and chase bigger dreams. Two decades later, his company is building the bridges that connect terminal gates at DFW Airport. Anup Tamrakar didn't inherit an empire. He started by working at his father's engineering practice in Nepal, tracing blueprints and even scrubbing bathrooms, long before “CEO” was ever part of the picture. Today, he leads Urban Infraconstruction LLC, a 400-person heavy civil construction company behind major Texas infrastructure like airport bridges, transit lines, and municipal water systems. Key Milestones: -Scaled to ~400 employees, earning spots on the Inc. 5000 list and recognition as an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Southwest Finalist. -Founded the Amaalya SK Foundation, committing to fund foundational education for 1 million children in Nepal by 2035. This isn't another polished immigrant success story. It's a conversation about what it really takes to build something at scale with the difficult decisions, risks, setbacks, and responsibility. How To Build Confidence By Challenging Yourself And Leaving Your Comfort Zone How do you change your life when every day feels the same? This episode of Join Up Dots explores how challenging yourself, leaving your comfort zone, and embracing new experiences can help you build confidence and create personal growth. Many people wait for motivation, confidence, or passion before they take action. But the reality is that confidence is built through experience. In this episode, David Ralph shares the story of buying a 20-year-old Toyota Aygo and attempting to repair it himself despite having no mechanical background. What started as a simple challenge became a powerful lesson in overcoming fear, learning new skills, and discovering hidden passions. This episode explores why challenging yourself is one of the most effective ways to escape feeling stuck in life. Whether you want to improve your mindset, become more confident, start a business, or create a life with more freedom, the process begins by doing something slightly uncomfortable. You will discover why passion does not always come from searching harder, but from experimenting, learning, and allowing curiosity to guide you. The same principles that help you repair an engine also help you build a business, develop resilience, and create a better future. Join Up Dots is about connecting the experiences, lessons, and challenges that shape who we become. By embracing personal growth, entrepreneurship, and intentional living, you can move beyond routine and start creating a life that excites you. If you feel trapped in the same patterns, afraid to try something new, or unsure what your next step should be, this episode will show you how small challenges can lead to massive transformation. You do not have to go to a mountaintop to find yourself. The cosmic zone is already within you. In this episode, I sit down with intuitive astrologer and Cosmic RX founder Madi Murphy for a conversation that feels like a homecoming. We talk about the moment astrology became the lifeline that pulled her out of a life that no longer fit, the spiritual signs that showed up when everything was falling apart, and how reconnecting with her chart gave her the language she had been searching for since childhood. Madi shares the story of losing herself inside an old identity, calling off a wedding, walking away from a career that drained her, and finding her way back through the map written in the stars. We explore the clarity astrology offers, the belonging it restores, and the way it reflects the parts of us we learned to hide in order to survive. If you have ever felt lost or disconnected, this conversation will remind you that your soul is already leading you home and astrology simply illuminates the path. https://asvabdomination.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/EPISODE-6-PODCAST.mp3 Leaving home isn't easy, but it's something that I'd argue the majority of folks do. I know that I'm better off for leaving home when I did, but, ultimately, if you're going to move you life in a direction of your choosing that's (by it's very nature) on you. I see a TON of kids who are afraid to leave home, but parents who want them out, and I see the reverse relationship with the same frequency, it just depends on the person. It's hard to do something different than what you're used to, so in this podcast I share a bit about my stories, and my different times that I left my comfort zone. The biggest benefit I ever got from leaving the life I knew is was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was blessed to meet my then girlfriend and now wife. I'd never had known how lucky I was to have met my wife if I hadn't left my comfort zone. Spending our lives together is the best thing that ever happened to me. Whether you stay where you're at, or go where you're going, I hope the decision serves you well. Be good to yourself, treat yourself as a learner. As the oldest of 8 kids, Rebecca always had to find her own way, which helped navigating educational and career choices throughout her life. From a masters in American History to then landing a job in fashion and starting her blog, Raspberry & Rouge, when she used Instagram purely as an editing tool, Rebecca's career as a content creator has evolved with the ever-changing social media landscape. Today, we talk about her shyness and how she finds the courage to pose in front of the camera, her discomfort with the title 'influencer,' the balance between living publicly and privately, and the vision and strategy behind starting her creative agency, LAPISCINE. Rebecca is a pure pleasure to speak with, and her words about how to put yourself out there to get what you want in life I found truly inspiring. Enjoy!
