Luego dijo al discípulo: “Ahí está tu madre”. Y desde entonces el discípulo se la llevó a vivir con él. Después de esto, sabiendo Jesús que todo había llegado a su término, para que se cumpliera la Escritura dijo: “Tengo sed”. Había allí un jarro lleno de vinagre. Los soldados sujetaron una esponja empapada en vinagre a una caña de hisopo y se la acercaron a la boca. Jesús probó el vinagre y dijo: “Todo está cumplido”, e inclinando la cabeza, entregó el espíritu.Entonces, los judíos, como era el día de la preparación de la Pascua, para que los cuerpos de los ajusticiados no se quedaran en la cruz el sábado, porque aquel sábado era un día muy solemne, pidieron a Pilato que les quebraran las piernas y los quitaran de la cruz. Fueron los soldados, le quebraron las piernas a uno y luego al otro de los que habían sido crucificados con él. Al Madrigal cut his teeth in San Francisco's stand-up scene, drawing on his Mexican and Italian roots to shape a comedic voice that's sharp, self-aware, and distinctly his own. Madrigal's star began to rise when he won a Jury Award for Best Stand-Up Comedian at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, leading to multiple appearances on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Conan O'Brien. In 2011, he began a five-season stint on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as the “Senior Latino Correspondent,” a role he recently revisited following the inauguration of Donald Trump in January 2025.  His first one-hour special, Why Is the Rabbit Crying?, premiered on Comedy Central in 2013 and was named one of the top 10 comedy specials of the year by Westword and The Village Voice. His follow-up, Shrimpin' Ain't Easy, released two years after his award-winning 2015 docu-comedy Half Like Me, was recognized in Decider and Vulture's Top 10 Lists. Rolling Stone Magazine praised him in an article titled “The Best Stand-up TV Right Now,” saying, “The Daily Show alum spins comedy gold.” As an actor, Madrigal boasts a diverse IMDb page, with roles in Lopez vs. Lopez, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Bob's Burgers, St. Denis Medical, Single Parents, About a Boy, Lucifer, Rutherford Falls, and feature films such as Air and The Way Back with Ben Affleck, and Night School alongside Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish.  Madrigal has lent his voice to a range of television projects including Jim Carrey's I'm Dying Up Here and Broke with Jaime Camil. He is also developing an extensive slate of TV projects under his current deal at CBS Studios. But his writing isn't limited to just TV. In 2022, Al teamed up with AWA and former Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso to publish his Mexican and Mayan-influenced comic book, Primos.  Behind the camera, Madrigal has executive-produced stand-up specials for Demetri Martin, Ronny Chieng, Neal Brennan, Shane Gillis, Whitney Cummings, Mae Martin, and Bill Burr, his partner in the number one-rated comedy podcast network, All Things Comedy. Sometimes called the 'couch potatoes of the sea', nurse sharks are famous for their laid back attitude to life spending most of their days cosied up in piles, napping. But their gentle, docile nature doesn't make them any less special. In this episode, we sit down with SOSF project leader and PhD Researcher Sergio Madrigal Mora - who has spent a lot of time hanging out with the Labradors of the shark world - to discuss how nurse sharks are perfectly adapted to life in the tropics and why they form 'cuddle huddles' on the sea floor. And, we learn more about Sergio's research into the influence of changing temperatures on the movements of Pacific nurse sharks in Costa Rica's St Elena Bay. On July 5, 2000, Ricardo Aguilera was shot and wounded in a gang related drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, California. Several witnesses identified 25-year-old Rafael Madrigal Jr. in a photo lineup as either the shooter or driver of the car involved. Those witnesses testified against Rafael at trial. Rafael, who maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal, had been at work at Proactive Packaging, a 50-minute drive away, at the time of the shooting. A co-worker could have confirmed his alibi, and his boss could have testified that he was certain Madrigal was at work because he was the only one who knew how to operate one of the machines in the production line. But Rafael’s defense attorney only called a single co-worker to the stand at the trial, and did not present a recording of Rafael’s co-defendant admitting that Rafael was not involved.
