In this episode, we sit down with Bob Regular, CEO of Infolinks, to explore the evolving world of programmatic advertising and the rising importance of curation. Bob walks us through his journey in digital media—from the dial-up days to today's complex ad tech ecosystem—offering valuable insights along the way. We dive into how Supply Path Optimization (SPO) is playing a critical role in improving the connection between advertisers and publishers by enhancing media quality and eliminating unnecessary middlemen. Using the analogy of choosing the best billboard location, Bob explains how digital ad placement is just as strategic, with audience targeting and creative messaging being essential for success. We also touch on the often-overlooked challenges of inconsistent naming conventions and unclear attention metrics, and how curation and SPO can help simplify and improve the overall advertising experience. The conversation wraps up with a closer look at the differences between direct and reseller relationships in ad tech, and how SPO is shifting industry priorities. Bob shares key takeaways from recent training sessions with media holding companies, including the major reduction in non-value-adding players since the adoption of ads.txt. This episode is a must-listen for anyone interested in the future of digital advertising and how we can build stronger, more transparent partnerships in the ecosystem. Plexus Holdings PLC (AIM:POS) CEO Craig Hendrie talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's strategic growth and recent £3 million fund raise. Hendrie, who took on the CEO role in July 2024, explained how Plexus is expanding its wellhead rental business to capitalise on strong demand. The investment will double the company's rental fleet from 8 to 16 systems, enhancing its ability to generate recurring revenue. He highlighted the profitability of the rental model, with a return on investment in under a year, positioning Plexus for self-sustaining growth. Hendrie also discussed the company's wider market opportunities beyond traditional oil and gas, including decommissioning, carbon capture, and hydrogen storage. "The rental returns in this business are very strong. We can charge based on what the equipment does rather than its cost," he stated. With government sentiment towards oil and gas fluctuating, Hendrie emphasized that Plexus has strategically positioned itself to thrive regardless of market conditions. Apart from the successful £3 million fund raise, Hendrie noted that Plexus has also announced a Retail Offer. Existing retail shareholders should contact their broker or wealth manager to participate. Intermediaries with questions about facilitating participation on behalf of retail shareholders should email BookBuild at support@bookbuild.live. Watch the full interview for more insights. This week on Revenue Rehab, our host Brandi Starr is joined by Richard Levy, an experienced MBA-level marketer with a wealth of expertise in growing brands and enhancing marketing effectiveness. Meet Richard Levy, a dynamic strategist known for his prowess in both brand and performance marketing. With a career that spans both large organizations and nimble start-ups, Richard has seamlessly blended strategic insights to drive financial success. In this episode, Brandi and Richard dive deep into the intricate world of distribution strategy and pricing considerations. They explore how traditional methods are evolving, and why understanding market diagnosis and crafting a solid strategy are crucial for effective communication. Richard also sheds light on the unique challenges faced by B2B vs. B2C dynamics and how the evolution of marketing roles is reshaping the commercial landscape. Tune in for a conversation that promises unexpected solutions to common challenges and emphasizes the importance of viewing situations from the customer's perspective. Richard's insights on the significance of the Chief Market Officer role and his approach to boosting brand salience over mere awareness are not to be missed.  Bullet Points of Key Topics + Chapter Markers:  Topic #1 Distribution Strategy: Direct vs. Intermediaries [07:15]  Richard Levy emphasizes, "Deciding whether to go direct to consumer or through intermediaries such as retailers or wholesalers is crucial. It fundamentally impacts your financial model and your pricing strategy. It's not just a logistical choice; it's a strategic decision that can make or break your market approach." Topic #2 The Evolution of Pricing Strategies [14:42]  "Traditional pricing methods are becoming obsolete," says Levy. "Today, pricing has to be a multifaceted approach, considering competition, value perception, and cost structures. The old one-size-fits-all model simply won't cut it in today's dynamic market environment."  Topic #3 The Role of Market Diagnosis and Strategy in Communications [22:10]  Levy asserts, "Too often, organizations jump straight into communications without the groundwork of market diagnosis and strategic planning. Effective communication stems from a deep understanding of segmentation, targeting, and positioning. You need to know precisely who you're speaking to and why before you decide how to communicate." These pointers encapsulate the essence of Richard Levy's insights on pivotal topics, from strategic distribution choices to the evolving nature of pricing and the foundational importance of thorough market diagnosis for successful communication.  What's One Thing You Can Do Today  Richard's ‘One Thing' is to shift your focus from tactics to fundamentals. “Take a step back and diagnose your market thoroughly. Understand who your customers are, what they need, and how they perceive you. Before jumping into your next communication plan or tactical move, ensure you have a solid strategy rooted in accurate segmentation, targeting, and positioning. This foundational work is what differentiates a good marketer from a great one. It's not about being louder; it's about being smarter and more strategic. Recognize that marketing is more than just communication—it's about deeply understanding and effectively meeting your market's demands.” Buzzword Banishment  Buzzword Banishment: Richard's Buzzword to Banish is 'brand awareness'. He wants to banish it in favor of 'brand salience'. Richard explains that brand awareness focuses merely on being known, whereas brand salience is about being thought of in buying situations, which is far more impactful and relevant for driving business revenue.  Links:  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/richardlevy1    Subscribe, listen, and rate/review Revenue Rehab Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts , Amazon Music, or iHeart Radio and find more episodes on our website RevenueRehab.live

Could the football world be on the brink of another change that is comparable to the 'Bosman' ruling of 1995? FIFA regulations face another challenge that impacts the football agent industry and could even spell the end of the 'transfer system' (and RSTP) as we know it ....... and it isn't 'FFAR' this time. Whilst a football agent is cleared by a court on criminal charges of 'sending malicious communications' to a club official, we look at the record-keeping and communication standards that agents should maintain, especially with increased scrutiny expected by the tax authorities on matters of dual-representation (duality) as per official guidance released this last week. Plus, a 'superstar' player confesses to missing his late friend and agent, and there are player unions reportedly taking action against clubs for the 'abuse' of players. EMAIL : questions@theagentsangle.com SUPPORT THE SHOW via KoFi ====== SHOW RUNNING ORDER : (02:20) - Agent Cleared of Criminal Charges of Malicious Communcation to Club Official. > (12:40) - Important Tax Update Specifically Directed at Football Agent Matters. > (15:18) - Increased Scrutiny from Tax Authorities on Dual-Representation > (23:18) - 'Shadow' Agents > (24:38) - Family Members Acting as 'Intermediaries' & 'Agents' > (27:42) - A Challenge to FIFA Regulations, That Could Be AS BIG AS BOSMAN! > (36:54) - Breach of Contract, Just Cause, Sporting Just Cause, Protected Periods & Abusive Conduct > (44:49) - Potential Collapse of The Transfer System > (45:58) - Player Unions File Criminal Complaints Against Clubs Over Player 'Abuse'. > (49:17) - Quick Takes: > (49:52) - New Club Develop a 'Blue Print' for Agents > (51:29) - Superstar Player Confesses to Missing Late Friend & Agent Mino Raiola. > (54:16) - UEFA and Agent Association Cements Educational Affiliation to Support Agents. > (58:41) - Disclaimer. > ====== RELATED LINKS : AG Szpunar: Some FIFA rules on transfer of players may prove to be contrary to EU law (PDF) > FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (PDF) > Commentary on the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (PDF) > FIFA Agent Directory > ====== FEATURED ARTICLES : Football agent charged with malicious communications after police investigated allegations that ex-Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia was blackmailed over '£300,000 transfer demand' > Kurt Zouma transfer: Football agent denies threat over commission payment > Football agent cleared of sending intimidating email to former Chelsea director > Former Chelsea director does not miss ‘ugly side of football' after agent found not guilty > Chelsea may be forced to lift lid on Roman Abramovich's alleged questionable transfers next month in ongoing legal case involving former Stamford Bridge director Marina Granovskaia > Marina Granovskaia linked to secret payments by former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich > EU legal adviser says some FIFA player transfer rules may breach EU lawrules may breach EU law > FIFA should lose EU legal dispute over player transfer rules, court aide says > France's footballer union launches lawsuit to protect sidelined players > Union takes criminal action against club for first time as footballers fight ‘widespread' abuse of rights > French player union files criminal complaint to protect players against harassment > Zlatan Ibrahimovic Confesses Missing His Late Friend Mino Raiola > FIFA tells judge it plans to change rule barring clubs from playing abroad by end of year > TFF Affiliation with UEFA on the 2024 Player Agent Programme > ===== SHOW LINKS: WEBSITE : www.theagentsangle.com LinkedIn ====== CREDITS : Theme Music : Agent Red by Abbynoise Music from #Uppbeat : https://uppbeat.io/t/abbynoise/agent-red

In 1845 an expedition led by Sir John Franklin vanished in the Canadian Arctic. The enduring obsession with the Franklin mystery, and in particular Inuit information about its fate, is partly due to the ways in which information was circulated in these imperial spaces. Arctic Circles and Imperial Knowledge: The Franklin Family, Indigenous Intermediaries, and the Politics of Truth (Bloomsbury, 2024) by Dr. Annaliese Jacobs Claydon examines how the Franklins and other explorer families engaged in science, exploration and the exchange of information in the early to mid-19th century. It follows the Franklins from the Arctic to Van Diemen's Land, charting how they worked with intermediaries, imperial humanitarians and scientists, and shows how they used these experiences to claim a moral right to information. Arctic Circles and Imperial Knowledge shows how the indigenous peoples, translators, fur traders, whalers, convicts and sailors who explorer families relied upon for information were both indispensable and inconvenient to the Franklins. It reveals a deep entanglement of polar expedition with British imperialism, and shows how geographical knowledge intertwined with convict policy, humanitarianism, genocide and authority. In these imperial spaces families such as the Franklins negotiated their tenuous authority over knowledge to engage with the politics of truth and question the credibility and trustworthiness of those they sought to silence. This interview was conducted by Dr. Miranda Melcher whose forthcoming book focuses on post-conflict military integration, understanding treaty negotiation and implementation in civil war contexts, with qualitative analysis of the Angolan and Mozambican civil wars. The UK is facing a housing crisis hitting both buyers, renters and those who aren't in a position to live in a stable home. Factors such as rising mortgage rates and inflation mean that people are increasingly struggling to meet their housing costs, especially those on low incomes – and women disproportionately fall into that bracket.  There are a number of reasons for this: of all jobs that pay less than the living wage – 60 per cent are held by women. Over the course of a woman's lifetime her income can be seriously affected by taking time out to care for children or elderly relatives. Even in higher paid jobs, women still earn less than their male counterparts.
