Quien nos invita a preguntarnos ¿Qué busca un poeta en la pintura? Además de la luz, el aire y la forma de la tierra. Carlos Pellicer era un senderista incansable; caminaba la naturaleza para luego escribirla. En estas salas, pintores como José María Velasco o el Dr. Atl se convierten en tus compañeros de ruta. Carlos Pellicer Cámara (1897–1977) fue un poeta, museógrafo y político mexicano, considerado una de las voces más destacadas del modernismo tardío y del vanguardismo poético en América Latina. Nació en Villahermosa, Tabasco, y desde joven mostró una profunda sensibilidad artística, marcada por el amor a la naturaleza, la espiritualidad y el arte. Estudió en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México y en universidades de Colombia y Francia, donde entró en contacto con las corrientes literarias de su tiempo. Fue amigo de grandes figuras como José Vasconcelos, Diego Rivera y Gabriela Mistral. Su poesía se caracteriza por la intensidad lírica, el paisajismo exaltado y la alegría vital. Pellicer veía en la naturaleza una expresión de lo divino y una fuente de belleza inagotable. Algunos de sus libros más conocidos son:Colores en el mar y otros poemas (1921)Piedra de sacrificios (1924)Hora de junio (1937)Material poético 1918–1961 (1962)Además de poeta, fue un promotor cultural y museógrafo notable: organizó museos en México, entre ellos el Museo de Frida Kahlo (Casa Azul) y el Museo de Tabasco, que hoy lleva su nombre. También se desempeñó como diputado federal y fue un ferviente defensor del patrimonio artístico y natural de México. En 1976 recibió el Premio Nacional de Literatura de México. Carlos Pellicer es recordado como el “poeta de la luz”, por su fe en la belleza, la naturaleza y el poder espiritual de la palabra.

Un grupo de profesores de la Universidad de Zaragoza ya advirtió hace casi dos años al anterior rector de la incompatibilidad de la cátedra Forestalia con los valores de esta institución. Fue fundada en julio de 2024 y en enero de 2026, el Rectorado anunció la finalización del convenio, porque la empresa no realizó las aportaciones económicas comprometidas en los ejercicios 2024 y 2025. Una cátedra que, remarcan los firmantes, no hizo nada desde su creación.  Paco Pellicer, profesor de Geografía, ha puesto voz en La Rebotica de Radio Zaragoza a estas críticas, que le trasladaron al anterior rector, José Antonio Mayoral. Cuestionaban la calidad técnica de sus proyectos.

«No es posible dejar de hablar de las Cataratas [del Iguazú] sin apuntar algunos datos numéricos, sobre todo si se atiende a que la gran mayoría de los lectores iberoamericanos desconoce la existencia de estas grandes reservas de fuerza y de riqueza.... »La zona de las cataratas comprende una superficie de setenta y cinco mil hectáreas.... La línea de los torrentes mide en conjunto dos mil setecientos metros. Corresponden seiscientos metros de saltos al Brasil y dos mil cien a la Argentina. La altura máxima de las caídas es de ochenta metros y la mínima de cincuenta y seis. Las potencias son: máxima, de 6.985.170 caballos de vapor; la media, 1.214.807, y la mínima, 132.400. El volumen medio de agua es de 6.300.000 metros cúbicos por hora. El cauce del río nace a novecientos metros sobre el nivel del mar, y al desembocar en Paraná tiene noventa metros de altura sobre el mar, repartido ese desnivel en una extensión de 1.320 kilómetros. Además de los grandes saltos, que son doce o quince, se cuentan hasta setenta saltos o chorros relativamente pequeños. »Sólo la caída central del salto Unión, ligada al Floriano, tiene una línea de caídas casi el doble de la del Niágara y una altura también doble. Se calcula que el volumen de agua es tres veces mayor que el del Niágara. También la caída africana de Victoria en el Zambeze es menor en volumen de altura, aunque aquel salto tiene una altura de ciento diecisiete metros.... A simple vista se observa en el Iguazú una grandiosidad de proporciones que supera desde luego al Niágara.»1 Así resume José Vasconcelos, autor y Ministro de Educación de México, los extraordinarios atributos de las Cataratas del Iguazú con motivo de su viaje a la región a fines de octubre de 1922.2 «De regreso... llegamos a Concordia —cuenta Vasconcelos luego de haberlas visto—... y allí nos recibieron de una manera triunfal; parecía que veníamos de descubrir las cataratas. Los periodistas nos pedían impresiones para transmitirlas por telégrafo a Buenos Aires; la prensa local nos dedicaba saludos; un diario de la región afirmó que antes que diplomáticos éramos artistas, puesto que abandonábamos las comodidades de Buenos Aires para ir a gozar con la contemplación de la naturaleza. En la Escuela Normal hubo una de esas fiestas en las que se siente pasar el soplo arrebatado del entusiasmo; canciones patrióticas, discursos vehementes... Pellicer leyendo entre grandes y calurosos aplausos la poesía que acababa de componer al Iguazú...»3 No hay duda alguna: hizo bien Vasconcelos al dedicarle tiempo a la contemplación de la naturaleza. Y si bien, según el famoso escritor mexicano, «no es posible dejar de hablar de las cataratas sin apuntar algunos datos numéricos», tampoco debiera ser posible hacerlo sin aludir a algunos conceptos teológicos al respecto. Marlene Pardo Pellicer is an experienced paranormal investigator and host, producer and narrator of the popular paranormal talk show, Stories of the Supernatural and the  podcast shows Nightshade Diary, Supernatural StoryTime and writer for Stranger Than Fiction Stories and Eerie News.Marlene is also an author of nine fiction and non-fiction books, which can all be found on Amazon.
