There is a lot more going on between MJF and AEW than initially reported and it could affect tomorrow's Double Or Nothing pay-per-view. Reportedly the company are “very unhappy about how it all played out” in regards to the situation with MJF and that communications between both sides have reached an all-time low. PWInsider reported earlier today that MJF has isolated himself from the locker room. MJF has no showed an AEW Fan Fest autograph signing during AEW Double or Nothing weekend, and according to reports MJF has a flight booked out of Las Vegas, and could potentially be off the Double Or Nothing card.  More AEW News, and WWE News on today's Off The Script with JDfromNY:

Tuesday Wrestling Tuesday with Jonathan Hood

Jonathan Hood talks about the breaking news of MJF no-showing a meet and greet in Las Vegas and possibly missing the AEW PPV, Double or Nothing. MJF no-showed his Saturday AEW Fan Fest autograph and photo session for reasons that are unknown. Several attendees noted his absence on social media which we have independently confirmed as legitimate and not a work. AEW was unable to contact him. PWInsider noted that AEW “did their best to make good to (fans) including offering exchanges for other talents.” Fightful reported that he is physically fine, but that one source said "communication between the two sides had reached an all-time low. AEW talent and personnel were asked to not comment on the situation, and those we've spoken to have not heard back from him." They also reported that a flight for MJF out of Las Vegas has been booked for reasons unknown. However, it's unclear whether he will actually get on the flight. Following a Thursday media call in which Tony Khan was asked about the inclusion of MJF's contract status in storyline and said, "For MJF, it's been a great opportunity to not only air some real life grievances and air his actual status, contractually or otherwise," MJF tweeted and deleted "F***ing LOL. F*** this place."

A special welcome to those of you listening on TheWrestlingRevolution.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: desk@justprowrestlingnews.com. (STINGER: NJPW) Kota Ibushi is sounding like someone who has wrestled his last match in New Japan. Depending on how you translate it, Ibushi replied to a fan on Twitter by writing he's either “now” fired” or expects he will be fired…for publicly airing his grievances with the New Japan office along with text messages he exchanged with Kikuchi, who Ibushi describes as a matchmaker. In one of those texts, Kikuchi threatened to end Ibushi's contract. Ibushi wrote he has only told 1/1000th of the story. And if he said too much he would be “executed in the dark”. He added, “I don't have any friends because they think I'm an idiot.” He later replied to a fan's tweet by saying that if he returns to wrestling, “it will be somewhere else.” He's been out of action since he was injured during the G1 Climax final last summer. (STINGER: AEW) MJF will face Wardlow at Double or Nothing…on a few conditions. Wardlow must take 10 lashes from MJF on next week's Dynamite. Wardlow must face Shawn Spears inside a steel cage with MJF as the special guest referee. Plus, if Wardlow loses at Double or Nothing, he can never sign an AEW contract. HookHausen is a reality. Hook & Danhausen will team up on the Double or Nothing “Buy In” pre-show…against Tony Nese & Mark Sterling. Danhausen's AEW in-ring debut last night was…very brief. Tony Nese pinned him in a matter of seconds thanks to a distraction by Mark Sterling. Hook saved Danhausen from a post-match attack and then, shook Danhausen's hand! Three Owen Hart Foundation Tournament matches went down last night. Toni Storm beat Jamie Hayter. Jeff Hardy cradled Darby Allin for a pinfall win. And Adam Cole used the Sharpshooter to get a submission win over Dax Harwood. Ricky Starks is still the FTW Champion. He beat Jungle Boy after some ringside involvement by Swerve Strickland backfired. Also on the show, The Blackpool Combat Club joined forces with Eddie Kingston, Santana & Ortiz to beat up on the Jericho Appreciation Society. This Friday's Rampage will once again start early - at 5:30 PM Eastern. Tony Khan says there will be another Grand Slam special from Arthur Ashe Stadium “in a few months”. (STINGER: WWE) The NXT UK Championship is on the line today. Ilja Dragunov will defend against Jordan Devlin. The lost must leave NXT UK. PWInsider reports NXT's will hold its next live streaming special In Your House on Saturday, June 4th. Cameron Grimes defending the North American Title against Carmelo Hayes is already announced for the show. (STINGER: Impact) The challenger for Josh Alexander's Impact World Championship at Slammiversary will be determined on tonight's Impact in a Gauntlet For The Gold match. Meanwhile, Alexander & New Japan's Tomohiro Ishii will face Bullet Club's Jay White & El Phantasmo. Ace Austin will defend the X-Division Title in an Ultimate X Match at Slammiversary. Kenny King will face Chris Bey in a qualifying match on tonight's Impact. Also on tonight's show, The Influence defends the Knockouts Tag Titles against Gisele Shaw & Alisha. Tonight's MLW Fusion has an Apocalypto Match between Jacob Fatu and Bestia 666. Plus, Mil Muertes defends the MLW Caribbean Championship in a 4-way “Cyclone Match” against El Dragon, El Hijo de LA Park, and Octagon Jr. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, May 12th. Though Black had been on WWE's main roster since early 2019, there seems to have been an error in his contract. Whereas a released main roster talent has a 90-day non-compete period, released NXT talents only have a 30-day non-compete. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Black's contract was never properly "upgraded" upon coming to the main roster in 2019. This means that his non-compete period lapsed after 30 days instead of what should have been 90. Johnson wrote, "PWInsider.com is told that back when Tommy End was moved to the main WWE roster several years ago, the company failed to update his contract from the standard 30 day non-compete that NXT level talents receive to the 90 day non-compete that main roster performers are given. So, what can only be described as a bad clerical error allowed End to be free and clear in time for the first episode of AEW Dynamite on the road and surprise everyone." --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

A special welcome to those of you listening on OccupyProWrestling.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: desk@justprowrestlingnews.com. (STINGER: WWE) Friday Night SmackDown is in front of LIVE fans...for the first time since March of last year...as WWE returns to live touring. Friday night's show at Houston's Toyota Center is SOLD OUT. Around 15,000 fans are expected to be in attendance. It's the last stop before Sunday's Money In The Bank pay per view. Bianca Belair will defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against Carmella. The Universal Champion Roman Reigns & The Usos will tag up against Edge and Rey & Dominik Mysterio. Plus, a 4-Way Match involving SmackDown's Money In The Bank ladder match participants: Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, Big E and Seth Rollins. WWE quietly announced the 8th entrant in the women's Money In The Bank ladder match. It'll be Tamina. The NXT UK Championship match between WALTER and Ilja Dragunov being promoted for next week has been called off. WWE announced Thursday that WALTER can not compete due to a severe injury to his left hand. WWE also claimed that the injury was the result of a backstage altercation involving WALTER and Dragunov. There were TWO title matches on Thursday's NXT UK. Tyler Bate beat Joe Coffey to hold onto the Heritage Cup Championship. Bate hit a Tyler Driver 97 in the Fifth Round to secure the win. Meiko Satomura beat Amale to retain the NXT UK Women's Title. Also, Teoman & Rohan Raja beat Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter. Teoman submitted Carter. (STINGER: Impact) Thursday night's Impact Wrestling was the final stop before Slammiversary...and one match was added to Saturday night's card. Brian Myers will team with Tenille Dashwood against Matt Cardona...and a mystery female partner. Dashwood attacked Cardona as he and Jake Something were brawling with Myers and Sam Beale. Scott D'Amore later met up with Cardona backstage and made the match. (D'Amore Cardona Slammiversary) That clip from last night's Impact. Earlier in the show, Dashwood & Kaleb With A K lost a tag match to Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering. All appears to be well between Grace and Ellering. Competitors in the Ultimate X Match at Slammiversary clashed Thursday night. X-Division Champ Josh Alexander, Petey Williams, Trey Miguel & Chris Bey beat Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, Rohit Raju & Shera. Bey pinned Shera with a schoolboy. After the match, Bey battered Shera with a steel chair. And he didn't stop there. Once the ring was cleared of the opposition, Bey used the chair to smack Alexander and Miguel as well. Havok pinned one half of the Knockouts Tag Champs Tasha Steelz ahead of Fire n' Flava's title defense against Havok & Rosemary. Joe Doering pinned Fallah Bahh to win a 4-Way main event that also included Doc Gallows and Willie Mack. Moose blew through Hernandez in a matter of minutes. Getting back to D'Amore, he told PWInsider that Matt Striker will be back on commentary for Slammiversary. (STINGER: New Japan) The Tag Team Turbulence tournament begins on Friday night's New Japan Strong...with four first-round matches: Yuji Nagata & Ren Narita vs. Fred Yehi & Wheeler Yuta...Brody King & Chris Dickinson vs. JR Kratos & Danny Limelight...Kevin Knight & The DKC vs. Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs...and the Good Brothers return to New Japan for a first round match against TJP & Clark Conners. Back in Japan, the Summer Struggle tour resumes on Saturday...with two singles matches on top of the card: Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Taiji Ishimori...and Rocky Romero vs. El Phantasmo. That's a preview of the Jr. Heavyweight Tag Title match at the Wrestle Grand Slam show later this month. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor broadcaster Quinn McKay steps into the ring once again on this weekend's ROH TV. If she can beat Mandy Leon, McKay will take her spot in the upcoming women's title tournament. Also on this weekend's episode...an 8-Man Tag. All four members of The Foundation vs. Shane Taylor Promotions - with newly minted member O'Shay Edwards alongside Taylor and the Soldiers of Savagery. Plus, Rey Horus vs. Fred Yehi. Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, February 3, 2021. This update is sponsored by the Wrestling Mayhem Show. Results from Tuesday's New Japan show, Impact Wrestling and AEW Dark are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: WWE) WWE has reportedly RELEASED Lars Sullivan. PWInsider says Sullivan was let go last month, but WWE did not confirm the move until Tuesday. WWE signed Sullivan back in 2013. He made his TV debut on NXT in 2017. He was called up to the main roster the following year - but his time with WWE after that was full of starts and stops...and revelations of offensive comments and behavior before he was signed. Sullivan ended up having only FIVE matches on WWE's main roster. His final one was last October. There's been no comment from Sullivan. Royal Rumble winner Edge is keeping busy this week. He'll appear on tonight's NXT. WWE is also promoting Edge for Friday's SmackDown. THREE matches in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournaments are also set for tonight's NXT. Just days after he welcomed his first child, Joaquin Wilde teams with Raul Mendoza to take on Lucha House Party. Another quarterfinal will see Adam Cole & Roderick Strong vs. Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher. On the women's side - Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai face Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter. Santos Escobar is set to defend HIS cruiserweight title against Curt Stallion. Are you ready for Xavier Woods vs. Reckoning? Woods put out the challenge on Monday's Raw Talk. He's 2-2 against Retribution members and he says this is the way to settle the “Best of 5” series. Reckoning said she would accept the challenge...and Adam Pearce added more fuel to the fire by tweeting Tuesday he'd “run it up the flagpole”. (STINGER: AEW) AEW Dynamite is LIVE tonight with its Beach Break special. There's a late change...and a late addition to the card. FTR is OUT of the tag team battle royal. AEW said it's due to their conduct during and after last Wednesday's Jungle Boy vs. Dax Harwood match. They'll be replaced by John Silver and Alex Reynolds. The battle royal will decide who gets a shot at the Young Bucks' tag titles at the Revolution pay per view. Here's the twist - the Bucks are in the battle royal too, and if they win they get to pick their opponent. Also added to tonight's show - Matt Hardy and Hangman Page vs. Chaos Project. The main event is a 6-man tag - Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers vs. Jon Moxley, Rey Fenix and Pac. Dr. Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa. A rematch from last week - Lance Archer and Eddie Kingston - in a lumberjack match. Plus, the long-awaited wedding of Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford. On last night's Dark… Nick Comoroto got his first win in AEW...getting the pin - as he, Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall beat M'Badu and Terrence & Terrell Hughes. Leyla Hirsch submitted Katalina Perez. (STINGER: Impact) A couple familiar faces from Impact Wrestling's past returned last night. Mahabali Shera helped Rohit Raju beat X-Division champ TJP in a non-title match. Those two now set to meet again with the belt on the line at the Impact Plus exclusive No Surrender show on February 13th. ODB is also back in impact. She came to the rescue of Jordynne Grace and Jazz...during a post-match attack by Knocksout Champ Deonna Purrazo, Kimber Lee and Susan. Grace had just beaten Susan. The tag team main event saw Impact Champ Rich Swann pinned by Moose...after miscommunication between Swann and his challenger at No Surrender, Tommy Dreamer. Chris Bey was on the winning side with Moose. Ken Shamrock is suspended indefinitely for his post-show attack last week on referees, security and Sami Callihan. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor presents a Final Battle rematch tonight...on its YouTube channel. It's Brian Johnson vs. Danhausen - premiering at 7PM. Ring Of Honor's latest re-signing is The Bouncers. Tuesday's announcement comes just as a rift may be forming in that team...over the Beer City Bruiser's post-match attack on Matt Taven and Mike Bennett on this past weekend's ROH TV. (STINGER: New Japan) A new title match added to New Japan's “New Beginning” show on February 11th. Jay White and the Guerrillas of Destiny will challenge for the NEVER 6-man titles held by Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI. At Tuesday's “Road To” show, a 10-man elimination tag ended with Jay White beating up YOSHI-HASHI so badly, Goto threw in the towel. New Japan has another “Road To” show this morning...with White, EVIL and Yujiro Yakahashi facing Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano and Ishii. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, February 3. Our next update comes your way tomorrow morning, so be sure to subscribe to this feed. We also thank you in advance for leaving a glowing rating or review.. I'm Matt Carlins. Thank YOU for listening.
