*Recorded Sep 10th, 2020 On our podcast with Boston Legend and industry vet, DJ Chubby Chub, Vanni Allan Poe was an artist who he mentioned as someone to check for from a 2019 spin-off of the famous "Bonnie & Clyde" record by the late great Tupac. Vanni is an artist who's been doing his thing for quite some time in the Boston scene and can rap with the lyricists but can also make heartfelt records for the ladies. Charlie MaSheen got a chance to ask him a few things about his journey in music and what he has coming up next. Sylus Gambino is one of those names that sort-of emerged at the perfect time on the Boston rap scene with his street anthem collab with 8 Zipp, Cam Geez, and his label-mate Vanni, titled "Kill Or Be Killed". That record was a perfect blend of real life accounts in street life and tied together by a catchy and melodic hook. The success of the song spawned a #KillOrBeKilledChallenge which even inspired our host, Chizz, to give his social media followers a quick 12 bars. Sylus followed up with another hit single "Down For Me" anchored by Vanni Allan Poe on the hook again, but teams up with the Atlanta native TK Kravitz and another label-mate Cash Rari. This record has amassed almost 70k plays on youtube in just a short month! With a DJ Khaled-style of putting records together, Sylus Gambino credits his ear as his musical talent and plans to be an integral part of stringing together more collaborations in Boston. Join in on the conversation as Charlie MaSheen asks his guests some tough questions and share a few laughs with us! *Recorded Sep 3rd, 2020 When we talk about some of the youngest artists in the Boston music scene who are ready for the main stage, we HAVE to mention the multi-talented young man, Clark D! Raised in the Hyde Park area of the city, Clark D was able to take his musical background/knowledge and apply it to Hip-Hop with a sound that Charlie MaSheen described as "purist meets the new school". His latest body of work, "Catharsis", takes us on a musical journey through his life, his goals and also his fears. What a lot of people don't know about about the young creative are all the hardships and obstacles that got in the way of his creating and also almost ended his life! Join us on this week's podcast as Clark D shares his story, his faith in God, plans for the near future and also flips the script on Charlie MaSheen as he asks the host a couple of questions!
