After seven days of silence, Job finally opens his mouth to speak. He doesn't curse God, as Satan said he would, but he does curse his own life and the day of his birth. This begins a series of dialogues in which Job's three friends try to find answers to his suffering. Enjoy this sample from Lesson 3, "Seeking Answers to Suffering (Job 3-27)," from Dr. Nick's course, "Job: Steadfast in Suffering." This month, I've been teaching my new Soul Purpose Workshop for Akashic Record practitioners. A student in this workshop asked a really important question: "How is asking for guidance from the Akashic Records different from wanting someone outside of us to give us the answers?" In this episode of INNER WORK, I'm going to break this down and offer a clear explanation of the vast difference between these two things. Join me for a discussion of: the misconceptions and illusions that make us believe we're separate from the Universe (and therefore separate from the Akashic Records) how the Akashic Records give you access to your Higher Self and Higher Mind 3 key points to ensure you're seeking guidance from a place of empowerment, groundedness, and worthiness how to make sure you're not seeking guidance or answers from outside of yourself how to make sure you're not unconsciously (or consciously) giving your power away to any healer, teacher, or mentor - or to the Akashic Records! It's been suggested those in the greatest need are finding themselves unable to get parking at a medical facility in the county town. The most recent meeting of Ennis's elected representatives has heard claims that the provision of parking is insufficient at the Primary Care Centre on Station Road, while it's also been observed that those who aren't using the service are routinely parking on site. Ennis Municipal District has confirmed it will meet with the HSE in the New Year to ensure planning permission conditions, which stipulate that staff and service users must have designated parking spaces, are being adhered to. It's also understood that the acquisition of nearby lands for additional parking is being looked into, and Clarecastle Fianna Fáil Councillor Tom O'Callaghan says this would be welcome.

Over a long and very active career as a researcher, clinician and educator, Dr. Nicholas Talley has witnessed the traditional mind/body dichotomy fade in relevance as science has determined just how integrated they really are. “The body talks to the mind, the mind talks to the body, and we're exploring how this happens and what we can do to interfere, if you like, to make a difference and perhaps restore health by doing so,” he says. Dr. Talley, a distinguished laureate professor at the University of Newcastle in Australia, is an international authority in the field of neurogastroenterology with more than 1,000 peer reviewed publications. Much of his work centers on disorders of gut-brain interaction, including functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, and GI complications in diabetes. “What keeps me going is this idea that gut-brain connections are going to be very important, not just in gastrointestinal diseases, but in fact in many diseases that affect people across the spectrum of internal medicine.” Join Raise the Line host Caleb Furnas for a fascinating look at this burgeoning field as well as insights on probiotics, possible pharmaceutical interventions on the horizon and how artificial intelligence is impacting medical education.
