Mit dem Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 ist gerade wohl eine der letzten Old-School Mini-Konsolen herausgekommen, natürlich habe ich sie mir genau für euch angeschaut. Da aus jedes der verbauten 61 Spiele seinen Platz bekommt, ist ein 2+Stunden Mammut-Review draus geworden.

Probably not an instant classic, but a fun, vampire hunting romp. Shua is loving the funny and creative Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.      Sci-Fi Saturdays/MCU Location Scout Tim Burton's Mars Attacks is an homage to the Sci-Fi films of the 50s. At the time it came out, it had some innovative effects and a ton of big named stars. Jay revisits it this week on Sci-Fi Saturdays to determine how well it has aged. In the early days of cinema, the only thing you needed to convince audiences to check out your motion picture was the fact that the picture was in motion. As audiences have become more sophisticated over the years, marketing movies has too.    When we were growing up, there were a variety of creative ways to let everyone know about your movie, and it was aimed at specific audiences. For example, Star Trek: The Motion Picture was for families. Where do families eat? McDonalds! Voila! The first Happy Meal.    In addition to kids' fast food toys, those quick dining establishments sometimes provided fine dinnerware, such as the Pepsi/Burger King Superman glasses in 1979. Now your family can invite people over for a fancy meal!   In 1989, Batman was everywhere, thanks to the marketing division. Billboards, cereal, TV, radio, everywhere! They used the well-known character of Batman by giving us simple images and using our prior knowledge to make it feel a bit more artistic.    The Matrix took an unknown premise to offer us a mystery. What is the Matrix? Nobody knew back then. And we desperately wanted to find out.    When Return of the Jedi came out, we enhanced our viewing experience with behind the scene TV specials that showed us exactly how they made it. Did this spoil the movie? On the contrary. We wanted to go check it out again to see how all that came together.    By the time The Phantom Menace was being made, Lucasfilm took marketing to a whole new level! You couldn't go anywhere without seeing Episode I images. Some say they may have gone too far, but we know we sure had fun in the summer of ‘99.  Is hype a bad thing? Tof dat je kijkt naar het GK Journaal van dinsdag 23 augustus met vandaag nieuws over onder andere het succes van Multiversus, Ubisoft's Blade, de Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 en een mogelijke samenwerking tussen Fortnite en Destiny 2. Multiversus stoot Elden Ring van de troon Volgens het NPD heeft de game Multiversus grote successen geboekt in de maand juli van dit jaar. De game wist Elden Ring van een eerste plaats te stoten om zo de bestverkopende game van Amerika te worden. Dit is extra opvallend omdat Multiversus een free to play game is. Echter waren de Founders Pack bundels (kosten €40 - €100) zo populair dat de game alsnog bovenaan wist komen te staan. Ubisoft werkt niet aan Blade De afgelopen weken gingen daar de geruchten dat Ubisoft mogelijk aan een open wereld Blade game zou werken. Deze geruchten werden nog eens aangedikt door een behind the scenes foto van een Marvel project. Ubisoft besloot om op de geruchten te reageren en moest fans teleurstellen met het feit dat Ubisoft op dit moment niet aan een Blade game werkt. Wellicht helaas, maar wat niet is kan nog komen. In 2023 moet Marvel's Blade zijn debuut gaan maken in de MCU. Komt er een Fortnite X Destiny 2 cross-over? Een dataminer genaamd Ginsor stuitte op een opmerkelijke ontdekking. In de code van Destiny 2 vond hij namelijk aanwijzingen voor een Fortnite X Destiny 2 cross-over event. Nu zijn cross-over events niet nieuw voor Destiny 2, eerder was daar nog een hommage aan de Halo serie. Echter, lijkt Fortnite iets verder van de game af te staan. Het zou hier om de Black Knight, Catalyst en Omega skins gaan die binnenkort verkrijgbaar moeten komen in de game. SEGA Mega Drive Mini 2 komt binnenkort naar Europa De mini consoles waren een tijdje een hype, maar de laatste tijd wordt het al wat rustiger. Daar komt als het aan SEGA ligt snel een eind aan want de onlangs aangekondigde SEGA Mega Drive Mini 2 zal ook in Europa gaan verschijnen. Je zult er echter wel snel bij moeten zijn want de mini console zal schaars zijn. Slechts eentiende van de vorige oplage zal gaan worden verscheept. Dit heeft vooral met het wereldwijde chiptekort te maken.
