Flimmerfreunde nehmen Euch ins Gebet.
Travis and Jesse tackle this week's most unnecessary news stories, from Japan's tea price meltdown to video game trailers making international headlines. Plus, Jesse might explode from Star Wars excitement while Travis questions why we're getting updates about an Australian escape artist dog. Just another week of married people dissecting stuff that shouldn't matter (but somehow made global news).WARNING: Contains unnecessary tea opinions, gaming hype skepticism, and Jesse probably losing her mind about lightsabers. If you think tea prices are actually newsworthy or you're still mad about GTA's delay, maybe sit this one out.Travis: https://traviscrutcher.com Jesse: https://teamhopelifters.com #StuffThatShouldntMatter #TeaCrisis #GTA6 #StarWars #NoFilter #RawTalk #MarriedLife #SlowNewsDay #WeirdNews
In 2026, Disney faces a monumental challenge: releasing "The Avengers: Doomsday" and the highly anticipated "The Mandalorian & Grogu" in close proximity. With both Marvel and Star Wars needing blockbuster wins, will the marketing reach fever pitch? Will we see a relentless, "Episode 1"-style blitz, or a more restrained approach like "Rise of Skywalker"? Join Glen and Jason as they dissect the potential marketing onslaught, plus dive into Star Wars Celebration exclusives, "Tales from the Underworld," and more!
In this episode, Tim and Ian discuss the recent title reveal for Spider-Man 4, 'Brand New Day', and its implications for the character's future in the MCU. They explore the significance of the title, the potential villain dynamics, and how this film may connect to larger MCU narratives, particularly with the upcoming 'Doomsday' and 'Secret Wars' Avengers Films. They also explore the emotional impact of film scores, particularly those composed by John Williams, and how they resonate with personal memories and experiences. They discuss the nostalgia associated with childhood media and express concerns about whether future generations will have similar connections to their entertainment. The conversation shifts to the upcoming Star Wars Celebration, detailing the logistics, excitement, and the balance between attending panels and acquiring collectibles. Ultimately, they reflect on the importance of experiences over material possessions in the context of fandom. 00:00 - Spider-Man 4 Title Reveal 02:09 - Exploring the 'Brand New Day' Arc 04:04 - The Villain Dynamics in Spider-Man 4 06:43 - Connecting Spider-Man to the MCU's Bigger Picture 10:01 - The Grounded Story of Spider-Man 12:38 - The Future of the MCU and Spider-Man's Role 15:03 - The Impact of Doomsday on Spider-Man 18:19 - The Significance of a Standalone Spider-Man Film 20:27 - CinemaCon Insights and Future Announcements 24:22 - The Animated Spider-Verse Conclusion 29:23 - Emotional Connections to Film Scores 35:03 - Nostalgia and Generational Differences in Media 38:58 - Star Wars Celebration: Anticipation and Logistics 48:52 - Balancing Experiences and Collectibles

55:56 Sneakpeek Support the show.

SURPRISE. It's the last episode of the year for the Filmageddon boys. The last chance to have a chin-wag about what we've watched (Frank: Klaus, Adam: Ancient Aliens) and their last chance to talk about the upcoming Star Wars Episode 45: The Rise of Skywalker. We're talking THEORIES. EXPECTATIONS. Star Wars PC games and John Barrowman cardboard cutouts. Did Pepsi really promote Episode 1 to the point where Frank was visited by Darth Maul in his bed? Possibly! Do aliens live in mountains right now? No! We've got a quiz coming to the Prince Charles Cinema on February 19th 2020. Tickets on sale now, head to http://www.filmageddon.co.uk for a link to buy them. Buy soon, 'cause our last one sold out! Thanks to everyone who listened or contributed this year - really appreciate it and it makes this mad podcast worth doing. Sorry about the start - we're still angry about last week. You'll see...

Besser gesagt: Der Hype beginnt so langsam.
