His most recent productions range from the “haute cuisine” docuseries Taste of France, to historical and contemporary documentaries, to docuseries with re-enactments. His film Pure Life was voted Best Short Film at the LA Documentary Film Festival and was named winner at the European Cinematography Awards. The short is an official selection of the upcoming Toronto Beaches Film Festival. His latest film is the docudrama Gender Transformation: The Untold Realities that debuted on EpochTV on Jun 29,2023.Tobias saw an investigative reportage by the Swedish Television about the severe side effects of puberty blockers and cross sex hormones — these are given to young people of today in order for them to start changing to the opposite sex. After watching, he felt that it's a very important matter that is in need of exploration — how can children be influenced to destroy their bodies and become sterile?Initially, I thought it would be quite an ordinary documentary but when I started to interview people in the United States, I came across a woman named Abigail Martinez, who had lost custody of one of her daughters because she didn't agree on her changing her gender at a very early age. The whole team felt it was such a heart-gripping story and we decided to make it into a docudrama, following Abigail and her daughter, and at the same time, we had experts and people who've regretted their sex change to speak out to give a picture of how and why this is happening, and also who is profiting from this.Be sure to follow, like and subscribe to Ann Beal's social media pages.https://www.facebook.com/annbealgettingbetter/https://www.facebook.com/livingwellwithannbeal/https://twitter.com/ablivingwellhttps://www.instagram.com/annbeal/https://www.youtube.com/annbealVisit Ann Beal's websites at:https://www.gettingbettershow.com/https://www.lifesolutionscoachingandcounseling.com/

In this episode, we talked to Dr Lucy Hone and Dr Denise Quinlan about their work on building well-being and resilience among different populations, and how to develop the most important skills associated with resilience.   Dr Lucy Hone is author of the 2017 book Resilient Grieving: How to Find Your Way Through a Devastating Loss and gave the TED talk ‘3 Secrets of Resilient People', which was among the Top 20 TED talks of 2020. She is co-author (with Denise Quinlan) of the Educators' Guide to Whole-school Wellbeing, co-convenor of Wellbeing in Education New Zealand, presenter on many of the New Zealand Institute of Wellbeing and Resilience's online courses, and has featured in the Guardian, Washington Post, and on the BBC, ABC, Channel News Asia, Swedish Television, The Bolt Report Australia and Television New Zealand.   Dr Denise Quinlan is acknowledged internationally as an outstanding facilitator and trainer, helping people explore wellbeing and resilience. Participants have described training with her as ‘life-changing'. She has worked alongside leading resilience researchers Martin Seligman and Karen Reivich, delivering the Penn Resilience Program in Australia and the UK. Her podcast, ‘Bringing Wellbeing to Life', was recommended by TED in their culture list for 2020. Denise's academic research is published internationally, and her publications include the Educators' Guide to Whole-school Wellbeing, which she co-authored with Lucy Hone. She is co-convenor of Wellbeing in Education New Zealand.    Key conversation points: What resilience is and the difference between individual and collective resilience. Individual resilience can be thought of as “learning to swim” and collective resilience thought of as “building the pool.” We need both to be truly resilient. Ways to build resilience, individually and collectively: healthy relationships; having a “mission” in life; cultivating self-awareness, self-regulation and self-compassion; and developing flexible and accurate thinking. What trauma is and what post-traumatic growth (PTSG) is, and Lucy & Denise's argument for why PTSG requires struggle after trauma.  Our “explanatory style”: how we explain what has happened to us, and why this is important for well-being and resilience.

We'd stretched the conventional limits before, almost to the breaking point. We'd had books banned from GENCon and dropped by retailers and distributors nationwide. We'd had trouble explaining our rather gory work to our maiden aunts and in-laws. We had to ask ourselves a few tough questions. How would the 'For Adults Only" rating affect sales?Would we alienate younger players?Would we offend older players?Should we censor our products to 'give the hobby a good image?'Couldn't we accomplish the same level of horror and storytelling in a milder format?Would this 'new level' of horror gaming merely shock, or would it be what we reeally wanted: artistic exploration of disturbing themes and stories. Hardcore but also conscious! My passion is the outdoors, to explore nature, forest and of course go hunting. I hunt 2-3 times per week year-round. Love to know where my food comes from. I make the most out of my life and I´m always positive. I´ve been hunting for 18 years but only the last three years this much. I quit my job as a producer at Swedish Television and are now freelance, film and content in hunting business. But nowadays more of an influencer with sponsors like Sauer and Swarovski Optik. My whole life is on Instagram @swedishvenatrix – I´m a proud hunter and to me a success isn’t always a game with me back home (but I for sure love to pull that trigger)… success can be helping next generation, a nice day by the fire, meeting friends and se new places. And being mentally strong makes you achieve what others say you can´t do. Makes med wanna try harder and go further. Of course, I want to win and of course I´m gonna give you something extra in that Extreme Huntress-show! I mostly hunt in Sweden, but I have also been to Alaska, England and the Alps in Austria. Love the mountains, love the challenge of hard work before you find the animals.
