Welcome back to the show, with me, I have Alexis of the super fabulous 22 at the Lips podcast. So we decided that we wanted to get together and collaborate on the topic and the infamous phrase “those who can't do, teach.”It's a very big pet peeve of mine, it's a phrase that really has no true foundation. So Alexis and I kind of have a similar background, but the opposite is why we came here. Alexis began in education and then went into EMS (and is now getting the EMS education side of things), where I began on the EMS side and then transitioned into the full-time education side.-BenListen to more of Ben and his guests on Profess EMS wherever you get your podcasts.Produced by Master Your Medicshttps://www.masteryourmedics.com/

Amber Tacy says she doesn't have direct ties to the professional cheerleading world (other than a handful of auditions for the Brooklynettes and Jets teams), but she did work as a professional dancer in the commercial space on TV shows like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Films like How to Be Single and Ads including Anastasia cosmetics and Ruby Tuesdays. She has technical training in ballet, modern, and jazz from Marymount Manhattan College, where she got her degrees in "Dance Science" (exercise science for dancers) and Psychology. She found that she was a great performer, but no matter how much she worked on her technique and no matter how many classes and styles she took, she just couldn't keep up with the other dancers in NYC. When she got a part-time job working at a fitness studio in NYC, she saw the science of training come to life. She learned about lifting, recovery, and nutrition and after a few months had certifications in all those areas. More importantly, she applied her dance-science book knowledge with physical skills in the gym and FINALLY started seeing improvement in her dancing... her career... and her confidence! In 2020, like many dancers, her dance career took a pause so she quickly shifted her focus to supporting dancers in her community and thus, “Dancers Who Lift” was born. It's an online fitness and wellness community for professional and recreational performers who want to feel hotter, stronger, and book their dream jobs. Her programs have served over 2500 performers, she's personally coached 300+ performers, and her team is still actively coaching dancers globally. It's her personal mission to get a barbell in the hands of every artist so they can take up more space and shine their brightest. I think this is an amazing concept and I'm all for it. I am so glad there's someone in this space who is talking about this. Enjoy this episode with Amber and get to lifting! In this episode, Sarah dives deep into her motherhood journey as she gets real about what it takes to balance motherhood and personhood. She shares some of her biggest joys and challenges of being a parent, how they have helped her learn to “connect before she corrects” with her kids, and the lessons that have helped her reparent herself through stories of perfectionism and people-pleasing. We get into some powerful reflections on being a good girl and finding worth beyond performance, why caretakers need care too (and the ripple effect of a regulated nervous system), and so much more. You don't want to miss this one. We dive into: Approaching motherhood with connection before correction Finding balance in your role as a mother How Sarah is using her parenting skills to reparent herself The importance of nervous system regulation for caretakers Getting vulnerable with your kids & learning to apologize Powerful reflections on being a good girl and a performer And more Sarah Tacy Tangredi is an accomplished mind/body trainer of former Olympians, professional athletes, executives, and entrepreneurs. She has a masterful understanding of the way the body functions, and how its function impacts emotions and quality living. Through nervous system support, attuned listening, and somatic exploration, her work creates new possibilities for her clients' lives, their work, their bodies, and beyond. Sarah has helped people with debilitating injuries, chronic pain, and anxiety, as well as walking people through their own personal dark night of the soul. She has taught other teachers multidimensional techniques in various local and international yoga teacher trainings since 2010. She has hosted a handful of thought leaders in Maine for Leverage Events and is now the host of Threshold Moments podcast, a podcast about the journey to truer versions of ourselves, and helpful tools to get us there. In honor of National Women's Equality Day on August 26th, we're exploring what it takes to make it as one of the very few female CEOs in the legal cannabis and CBD industry.Across all US industries, women hold around 30 percent of CEO and C-suite positions. But in the cannabis industry, women only hold 22 percent of C-suite roles and just 8 percent of CEO titles. So how can more women successfully lead in a young, semi-legal industry like cannabis and CBD?This episode, host Brit Smith sits down with the so-called 'Dolly Part of hemp,' Franny Tacy, the founder and CEO of Franny's Farmacy, to find out what it takes to be part of the 8 percent. After studying forestry and working in pharmaceuticals, Franny left what she calls the 'unhealthcare industry' and moved into agricultural education and activism, eventually becoming the first female farmer to plant hemp in North Carolina in 75 years. She's since grown from farming her own hemp and running a single CBD store in Asheville, N.C. to developing a high-end hemp product line and seeing Franny's Farmacy franchises in six states. She's continued to innovate with products like her hemp honey and pasta. And she's built meaningful partnerships with everyone from local farmers to celebrities, including fashion designer Christian Siriano, who's about to start selling Franny's products in his own stores.Get your summer issue of Different Leaf magazine at DifferentLeaf.com and find your nearest in-person retailer at Differentleaf.com/on-the-newsstandFind us on social media @DifferentLeaf and find host Brit Smith @BritTheBritishCheck out our new merch line at xDifferentLeaf.com

– Jestem przeciwny temu, by do zawodów ważnych była selekcja negatywna.

Zapraszamy do słuchania.
POZNAJ SIEBIE. To jaką ścieżkę postępowania wybrali i według jakich własnych reguł żyją. Tacy, którzy żyją intencjonalnie i proaktywnie.
