The algorithm on this planet will allow you to do a couple of things: 1. Make tremendous climbs 2. Fall just as fast. There is no descrimination. The Force of Average doesn't care if you're rich, skinny, white, black, orange, green, blue or an alien. It's an equal opportunity equalizer. The way to combat the falls is to keep working. Keep dialing in your focus. What is it that you want? Who is in your life? What do you see yourself doing? How are you going to accomplish what you need to accomplish? How much pain can you withstand? The best way to combat the falls from the high climbs is to create cushions. Insulate yourself from any liabilities that may come your way. There's always something coming to keep you level. All you have to do is reach a higher one and stay one step ahead. #RiseAbove HOW TO GET INVOLVED: This planet is based on an algorithm and with every positive action, there is an adverse reaction. Ryan Stewman rose and overcame a life of addiction, imprisonment, divorce, and circumstances that would break the spirit of the average human being. “There were songs that were new songs for us that had never been recorded that we played all three sets and by the third set, there would be a group of people singing along - that kind of interaction and feedback community does not happen anywhere else. It was so connective - it felt like we got to co-create with that community…”. David Wimbish of The Collection, had not heard of The Rock Boat prior to TRB XXI. He admittedly looked forward to being on a cruise headed to Jamaica - but quickly found out that the most important aspect of the Boat is its community. David was completely blown away by the interactions had with fans who truly value music. The guys of the Boatcast share with David how word had quickly spread amongst Boaters about The Collection's incredible stage presence and authenticity - and how that is continuing in the community for those who weren't even on the Boat (ie BoatCast Mark's family loves The Collection now) David wrote the band's newest single, “Won't Stop Yet” in his cabin on the first night of TRB XXI - and if you haven't heard it, it is an absolute gem. David treats listeners to a live rendition of the single during this episode.David opens up to Chris Rhoad and BoatCast Mark the relationships that he made with fans, becoming fast friends with Meaghan Farrell, writing with Christian Bush, and recently touring with TRB-alumni Tall Heights. From their early days playing on the streets in their hometown of Boston, MA to performing on world wide tours, this duo has built their careers from the ground up and along the way, amassed a dedicated and ever growing audience of listeners. Paul Wright and Tim Harrington, together known as Tall Heights, have developed a unique sound that cannot only be credited to their harmony, but rather a unique union of two distinct voices that makes the music inarguably their own. This episode of Tent Show Radio features the duo's 2016 live performance on the Big Top Chautauqua stage. ______________________________________________________________________ First broadcast in 1994, Tent Show Radio is a one-hour public radio program hosted by author & humorist Michael Perry, and created from the best live recordings from acclaimed musical acts who grace the Big Top Chautauqua stage each summer in beautiful Bayfield, WI. Jim and Mike interview FANTASY recording artist ANDREA VON KAMPEN (Lincoln Nebraska Singer/Songwriter) ABOUT ANDREA VON KAMPEN Andrea von Kampen is a folk singer-songwriter based in Lincoln, Nebraska, whose effortless vocal delivery has been praised by Hear Nebraska as “soulful and worn-in.” With the successful release of two EP's, Another Day (2015) and Desdemona (2016), a Christmas EP (2016), an Audiotree Live album (2017), and her debut full-length album Old Country (2019), Andrea has quickly established herself in the recording studio and on the road. She has shared the stage with artists such as Tall Heights, Ira Wolf, Dead Man Winter, The Brother Brothers, Dead Horses, Darling West and many more. Old Country, Andrea von Kampen's debut full-length album, was released on February 8th, 2019. The album was recorded and mastered in Nebraska and features exclusively Nebraska-based musicians. Inspiration for Andrea's songs often come from literature, art, and nature; in particular the literature and nature of Nebraska and the Midwest. The title track, Old Country, is based on the book “My Ántonia” by Nebraska author Willa Cather. Her single, Portland, received notable attention including features on The Bluegrass Situation, Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Additionally, Amazon Music Canada featured Portland in their ‘Top Songs of 2018' playlist. In a review of Portland, Ear To The Ground Music said, “It's not so much about where you're going, but that you want to get away. That emotion of “idealistic escapism” is one that listeners can all connect with, whether or not we want to go to Oregon or somewhere else. The inflection in von Kampen's vocal has the conviction of a gospel track and the sincerity of a Dylan folk ballad.” Andrea von Kampen first appeared in the public eye with her submission of Let Me Down Easy into the 2016 Tiny Desk Contest. Within 24 hours of submission, NPR Music, All Songs Considered tweeted her video as the featured artist of the day, saying “we were completely blown away.” Ultimately, Andrea finished the competition as a top ten finalist, which lead to increased popularity of her EP, Another Day, specifically her song Trainsong. Since then, her EPs have amassed millions of streams on Spotify and continue to grow. Her newest album "THAT SPELL" was released on August 6, 2021 You can visit andrea's website to order the album and other cool merchandise at: www.andreavonkampen.com COPYRIGHT CLAIM : the songs TAKE BACK THY GIFT, TETON, JULIA and TRAINSONG used with permission from : Andrea Von Kampen, Jimmy Rhine, Concord & Fantasy Recordings You can find our podcast on Apple Music, Spotify, Podbean, Iheart Radio, Pandora and anywhere you listen to podcasts. We had the pleasure of interviewing Tall Heights over Zoom video! Tall Heights launched a new song of yearning, "Hear It Again," out now everywhere you get music. "Hear It Again" is about the blurry lines between home and touring. we started it on tour with Ben Folds and finished and recorded it deep within pandemic isolation. accordingly, it is impregnated with this tension between 2 lost sanctuaries : home at home and home on the road.Tall Heights have relentlessly built a career from the ground up. Starting as buskers on the streets of Boston and now performing in packed venues across North America, Europe, and beyond, the duo has distilled their sound in an organic and unselfconscious way. The unmistakable DNA of their music draws on many elements, but the blend of their two distinct voices, in both harmony and unison, is what elevates it and separates it from the pack.Hailing from the Boston area, Paul Wright and Tim Harrington met each other in their hometown of Sturbridge through Tim's older brother. The friendship blossomed in high school when they both took up the guitar and began working on music together. It didn't take long for them to see the potential hidden in these casual jam sessions. As Paul recalls, “Tim transformed from kid brother to musical collaborator over the course of a summer.”Combining Paul's lifetime of classical training, Harrington's spontaneous artistic instincts, and the prismatic union of their unique voices, Tall Heights' sonic imprint is in a category all its own.Tall Heights' recordings have amassed over 275 million streams. They regularly serve as Ben Folds' backing band, and have toured alongside CAKE, Judah & the Lion, Colony House, and The Paper Kites. They've also performed on both Conan in 2016 and CBS Saturday Morning in 2018. We want to hear from you! We think what makes our conversations interesting is the face-to-face we always have and actually required at one point. We used to say no to virtual conversations. But we aren’t idiots, as far as you know, and we are still chatting with our guests virtually because of the evil COVID, and while we are not fans, we still at least get to talk with great musicians who turn out to be great people as well. Two fellas who fall into those two descriptions are Paul Wright and Tim Harrington from the band Tall Heights.Like many, Paul and Tim, or Tim and Paul, depending on who you ask, began their musical journey by busking on the streets of Boston. They soon left the harsh Quincy Market streets for the road, which they now ride in luxury on The Spirit of Beverly, which you will hear about shortly. These guys from Sturbridge – not to be confused with Stockbridge - are road warriors and luckily, they were able to almost finish a tour before COVID hit. I talked with them about what they’ve been doing lately including their Tall Heights Backyard Tour, their fan sing-along, and a lot of other things. We don’t want to ruin the surprise.
TRB XX artist, Sammy Rae (of Sammy Rae & The Friends) joins Chris Rhoad and BoatCast Mark to relive her favorite memories from her first Rock Boat. Fellow Rock Boat Artists, Night Without Cars (formerly SCR), had educated Sammy about the Rock Boat family prior to setting sail, but the experience surpassed her band’s expectations. The Sammy & The Friends quickly became TRB Family. On the Boat, she established close connections with fans and fellow artists. Sammy and her band went out to support Tall Heights in NYC but when the concert was cancelled due to the beginning of COVID-19, they still dressed up in Tall Heights Merch and went bowling to show their support. Listen to this podcast to hear a whole new take on Tall Heights Spirit Cold. Since stepping off The Boat, Sammy has cherished her relationship with Rock Boaters and is keeping us entertained during the Pandemic. My guest today is a my good friend Victoria Canal. She is a 22-year-old artist, singer, songwriter, and now producer based all over the world. She was based in Los Angeles, but when the coronavirus shutdown hit, she moved to Amsterdam where her parents live.Victoria and I discuss how she's been handling the last six months. Then she leveled up to an even bigger tour supporting Leslie Odom Jr. She also just came out with her EP, 'Victoria,' and as you can imagine, the release strategy changed quite a bit. So we talked about that. I had Victoria's manager, Andrew Leib, on the show a few months back. You can get the other side of Victoria's career. LEIGH NASH is perhaps best known as the pixie-like singer with the heavenly voice from Sixpence None the Richer. She rolled pop, folk and gospel influences into hit songs like "Kiss Me" and "There She Goes". Her solo career, which kicked off in 2006, has been similarly diverse. Her latest solo album 'The State I'm In.' shines a light on her Texas roots. It finds Nash putting a modern spin on the sounds she heard as a young girl in the Texas Hill Country, mixing together the classic country of Willie Nelson, the sweeping pop of Roy Orbison and the mariachi influences of nearby Mexico. TALL HEIGHTS harmony-heavy indie folk has taken this acoustic guitar and cello duo from the marketplaces of Massachusetts to stages across the country. Theyve toured America, released critically-acclaimed album, "Man of Stone", and earned a spot on the same folk family tree as Simon & Garfunkel and Bon Iver. On 2015s "Holding On, Holding Out", though, the duo widen their reach significantly, beefing up their sound with electronics, synthesizers, drums loops, Casio keyboards, and plenty of shimmer and shine. WoodSongs Kid: Angie Wilcutt is a 14 from Lexington, Kentucky. She performs an acoustic version of the pop hit “Bubbly on the WoodSongs Stage.

Tall Heights is a contemporary American folk music duo based in Boston, Massachusetts, and made up of guitarist/singer Tim Harrington and cellist/singer Paul Wright. Though they had been writing and performing music together in other incarnations ever since high school, Wright and Harrington did not make the conscious decision to form the duo known as Tall Heights until the summer of 2010, when they began testing out material as buskers (street musicians) in Boston’s Faneuil Hall Marketplace. According to a recent interview with About.com Folk Music, the pair have known each other since they were children, when Harrington was just the younger brother of Wright’s good friend. No doubt, like many little brothers, he tagged along and was not taken seriously by his older friend until they entered high school and started discovering they had just as much in common. This is the same vinyl that we use for our 13oz Slide Out Fabrics that have been in service for many years. The Sunpro Awning Fabrics are available in 7 solid colors and are made to fit your existing Window Awning Hardware. Why Do You Only Offer the 13oz.? Out of all of the awnings on an RV, the Window Awnings have the least amount of exposure to the sun. They are almost always several feet below the roof line getting less exposure from the sun. Quite often RV’s are parked with only one side exposed to the sun for a portion of the day. There is less fabric than a patio awning and does not suffer the stresses when it is windy and they usually do not keep moisture like other awnings when rolled up. The point is, why spend extra money when you will probably not even own your RV when these need replacing. Save your money for something else. One Price: We offer one price for Standard and Tall Heights unlike the other guys who charge you more for the Tall Fabric. We can accommodate any height or Bead to Bead measurement up to 54″. How to Measure: Measure the length of the “Fabric”, not the roller tube. With the Window Awning fully extended measure from Bead to Bead. This is the bead that is sewn into the fabric with one bead in the roller tube and the other Bead on the side of the RV. • 13oz Sun Tuff Fabric • 7 Solid Colors to Choose From • 1 Price for Any Height Up To 54″ • Fit Almost All Brands of Window Awnings • 3 Year Warranty • Beige, Black, Dark Brown, Forest Green, Gray, Pacific Blue, White Free Fabric Samples Are Available Upon Request!
