Feeling overwhelmed with marketing your book? You're not alone. Writing the book was challenging, but now, the prospect of getting it out to your audience might seem just as daunting. That's why I always say marketing isn't about shouting to the masses—it's about connecting with the right people. You don't need to sell millions of copies to create a lasting impact. You need a strategic plan to engage with your readers and draw them into your world. The key is building genuine connections and positioning your book as the gateway to the value you bring in other areas of your business. As a book launch strategist, I help authors do just that. Whether it's through tailored launch teams, virtual events, or content strategy, I can help you create a plan that turns your readers into clients, partners, or even evangelists for your ideas. Whether you're just getting started writing a book, have a book ready to publish, or are thinking about a relaunch, I suggest you schedule a complimentary book launch brainstorming session at www.BookLaunchBrainstorm.com. Before we jump into today's panel, here's a quick word from our sponsor. I'm thrilled to introduce today's panelists, who will share their best strategies and lessons learned from marketing their books. Ari Krzyzek (shooghek) wrote “Made to Sell: Creating Websites that Conver,” which provides essential strategies and insights for transforming your website into a powerful marketing tool that attracts traffic, builds your brand, and drives revenue. Kris Putnam-Walkerly wrote “Confident Giving: Sage Advice for Funders from One of Philanthropy's Top Advisors,” a comprehensive guide to impactful philanthropy, offering practical strategies, expert insights, and inspiring stories to help funders enhance their efforts and drive meaningful change. Pam Rollin wrote “Growing Groups into Teams: Real-life stories of people who get results and thrive together,” offering practical strategies and real-life examples to transform a group of individuals into a highly effective and productive team, focusing on engagement, accountability, inclusion, and building trust to drive organizational success. Please join me in welcoming Ari, Kris, and Pam.  In this episode, we discuss the following: Discover how crafting a book can redefine your business approach, opening doors to speaking engagements, consultancy opportunities, and expansive networking circles. Learn the art of connecting with the right audience to leverage your book as a powerful gateway to building long-lasting client relationships. Hear about our panelists' experiences and insights—like turning blogs into books, co-authoring dynamics, and reaching niche markets with focus and creativity. We quite possibly have one of the coolest jobs in the world. We travel, we explore, we work with clients to plan their dream vacations and getaways. Whenever a client calls, there’s always excitement in the air as they tell us what they have in mind for their next adventure.    At the beginning, for me personally, I said yes to every FAM I was invited on and I attended as many trade shows and industry events as I possibly could. This was great at the very beginning when I didn’t know anyone and I didn’t know what my future clients would be asking for, so I wanted to know it all. It wasn’t until I was able to progress a little further on in my business and look back that I started to realize that saying yes to every FAM opportunity and attending every trade show possible may not be the most time efficient nor the most cost effective way to run a business - especially when we’re not earning a lot of money at the very beginning.    Rather than trying to learn everything in an attempt to be prepared for a client’s call, I feel we should rather accept FAM invitations, plan personal travels, and register for trade shows with intention - with the business that we would like to build in mind, not what a hypothetical client may or may not potentially request, sometime in the future.    Joining me in this week’s discussion is Beth Bastian of Bastian World Travel, Emily Lockard-Furry of Traveluxe Official, and Sarah Brook Austin of Currie & Co Travels.   Find us on Instagram: @mastersintravel

Welcome to this episode of The Magellan Network Show. Today, I want to give you a debrief of a special meeting that I recently facilitated. I invited six (6) of my long-time clients whose business valuation have excess of $5M or more. I wanted to see what would be the outcome if I put together six (6) Advisors/CEO's of their own enterprises in one meeting. A lot of advisors aspire to reach the top line. They work hard to elevate their business and then, in the end, they get frustrated. Anyone can be a great advisor, but it's not about elevating your game, it's about changing your game. The question I want you to ask yourself is, "Who do I need to become". The Magellan Academy & Network The rules and tools for success in the financial services industry are about to change radically. I have spent over 25 years coaching only financial advisors. In that time, I have personally conducted over 50,000 individual coaching sessions. I have built a profound knowledge base of what it takes to achieve lifelong success in business and life. In my career, I have transformed 1,000's of advisors (below are video and written testimonials by many of them). Many of you probably paid thousands of dollars to various coaching programs with very mixed results. Most coaching programs are just that. A pre-planned process that is “cookie cutter”. Where they have salespeople having to “sell” you on their program and results. In most cases, it's about the coach, their ego, and their money. They base their program on “practice management” or “marketing”. They make you more intelligent. What they all fail to do is help you make that “mindset” shift that must happen for you to realize your dreams and vision. I am going to coach you, teach you, inspire you, and train you all on your mobile device every business day. You are going to get better at business development, practice management, personal development, and your vision. Here is what you are going to get from me each month: A 5-10 minute morning coach video each business day. 3 training videos of 20-30 minutes each. This will be a deep dive into four areas I mentioned above. A live group coaching session where you and I can interact and work together. Here is what you can do each month: Post a question to me and I will answer it. Collaborate and associate with like-minded advisors. Invite other great advisors into the network. Your Bottom Line: Here is the deal. I am not going to ask you for a credit card. Like I said before, coaching is personality driven. You might not like my style or tactics. So with that in mind here is my offer to you. Complete the short form below. You will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to join the network for the next 30-days. I personally approve each submission so this might take a few hours or a day at the most. I will not ask for compensation of any kind during that 30-days. If after experiencing my work for 30-days and if you believe that I can help you, here is the deal. To remain in Magellan Network and have access to Magellan Academy, your daily investment in yourself will only be about the price of a Latte these days. One more thing, it's a month-to-month deal. I'm not going to lock you into anything. Take action now and complete the short form below and I look forward to welcoming you personally inside the Magellan Network. ► Subscribe to our channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/CoachJoeLukacs?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/coachjoe.guru/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coach_joe_guru/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/coachjoelukacs/ Website: https://www.magellannetwork.net/ Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/themagellannetwork Twitter: https://twitter.com/CoachJoeLukacs__

The top marketing people realize that when it comes to marketing the services of a financial advisor, you'll have better results if you purposely repel a significant segment of the population. Most of us want to be liked by as many people as possible so the thought of gearing our marketing to repel potential clients seems ridiculous. But one very successful advisor at the Barron's Top Independent Advisor Summit has built a top business by becoming the recognized expert for a select type of clientele. That's just one of the many takeaways from part II of our roundtable discussion with attendees from Barron's Top Independent Advisors Summit.
