Antron Brown has been a mainstay of the NHRA's top levels since 1998, first in Pro Stock Motorcycle and since 2008 in the premier Top Fuel class. After finishing second in PSM points in 2001 and 2006, Brown became drag racing's first African-American champion when he took the 2012 Top Fuel title; he then added two more in 2015 and 2016. In 2022, the former Don Schumacher Racing driver took over full ownership of his team, which continues to this day as AB Motorsports. Brown and fellow Top Fuel champion Steve Torrence teamed up with Jim Beaver and Jolene Van Vugt to race the 2018 Mint 400. Outside of the cockpit, Brown's 100-meter dash time was good enough to qualify for the 1997 US Olympic Trials, and he also hosted Top Gear America with William Fichtner and Tom Ford in 2017.Listen Now: Check out this episode featuring Antron from April 2021! Tanner FoustI think someone once said that fear itself keeps you young (or am I making that up?), either way it explains why this weeks guest on Life with Legends looks so youthful!Tanner Foust has that kind of god-given car control that would have made him a star in any kind of car, but the fact that the early intervention of rallying and a stint as an ice driving instructor, shaped his career is a great story. An X-Games gold medal winner, Formula Drift Champion, and, well way too much to list here!Making a huge name for himself as a rally driver, then the transition to Rallycross and all the attention that , proved he had the chops against the best in the world. But his parallel career as one of the worlds most in-demand stunt drivers is what blows my mind! World record holder for the longest car jump in a four wheeled vehicle at 332 feet, and doing a loop the loop for a Hot Wheels campaign, all makes him certifiable….you would think! However, the opposite is true as he is intelligent, calculating and almost zen-like in his approach to risk in his day job. He is a busy man, as much as anything for his talent in front of the camera as well, having been the host of Top Gear America for years. He flew up to meet me in his beautiful single engine plane, and I learned a lot from our conversation. I hope you do too.JB

Episode 137 of The Grey NATO begs the question – “what if we were in charge?”. With a classic CEO-for-a-day dream scenario, Jason and James breakdown their co-CEO plans for some of TGNs favorite brands. The Pelagos gets a GMT, IWC goes deep on the Aquatimer, Rolex needs to think older, and Sinn basically just needs to keep up the good work (to mention only a few!). While we are not entirely confident that the TGN-boys would make passible watch brand CEOs, they certainly aren't short on ideas. From the get-go, Jason provides an update for his forthcoming novel – Depth Charge – and James gets bored of talking about just how little he is doing these days. As always, stay in the mix for a high-riding Final Notes with some much needed Danny MacAskill and a nod to the latest iteration of Top Gear America. You might call Dax Shepard an unlikely Hollywood star, and he’d probably agree with you. He grew up outside Detroit and moved to Los Angeles for college, where he spent over a decade struggling as an actor before his big break. In this week’s “Sunday Sitdown,” Willie Geist gets together with the actor to talk about that journey to stardom, his latest dream job on Top Gear America and his wildly popular podcast “Armchair Expert.”

Emmy Award-winning comic actor Rob Corddry and Rich discuss his MotorTrend show ‘Top Gear America,’ why his first car was definitely NOT a chick magnet, his Patriots fan reaction to Tom Brady reaching the Super Bowl with the Bucs, and his reaction to former ‘Daily Show’ host John Stewart finally joining Twitter. The guys wrap up the week with their Higher Register Tepid Takes on the Lakers’ title hopes, the fastest player on the Super Bowl field, the Knicks watchability, and Del Tufo’s highly confusing labeling system for his audio mixing console.
Dave briefly talks to his producer Isaac Lee about how podcasting has changed since the pandemic (2:44) before being joined by actor Dax Shepard to discuss the explosive popularity of his podcast ‘Armchair Expert’ (9:14), the organic success of ‘Top Gear America’ among gearheads and laypeople alike (17:10), and, of course, food (33:40).

Episode 20 of Crank Journal may sound pretty normal to you, the ever patient and tolerant listener, but to us recording, it was quite unusual, as Michael packed up his podcast gear and joined Jared Rosenholtz in person at a college study room rather than remotely to make this episode. Jared writes for CarBuzz, and both he and Michael talk about the perks and pitfalls of driving press cars, about being alumni members of the UCF Car Club, and driving R34 Skylines and making YouTube videos about them. Oh, and Jared's impersonation of William Fichtner on Top Gear America is worth the 2-hour wait.
