Today we'll be talking to Peggy, a WHNP who owns and operates a Women's Health clinic where she focuses on general OB/GYN services, fertility treatment, IV infusion, therapy, and medical weight loss. The business is going fairly well and it has allowed Peggy to go full-time into her practice. She comes to the show looking for help on the process of hiring another provider and how to streamline her business so she's not working so much.In our conversation we talk about the importance of diversifying yourself, Peggy's clinic is set on the best way possible for this kind of practice, she's working on a hybrid model where she accepts insurance but also provides cashed-based services that increase her revenue and pulls in more patients to her practice. Of course, a bigger client volume means you'll have less free time for yourself, that's the point where bringing someone in to help take care of the patient load is necessary, relegating work and automating some tasks in your business will lead towards true financial independence by building a fully functional clinic that's basically all just passive income for you.
If you are in peri menopause, menopause or post menopause you are probably very familiar with the term HRT. You are also likely very overwhelmed or even frustrated by all the information out there and just want to know what's best for you! Today I have the woman who I credit to totally changing my life (for real) on the podcast. When I stepped into Lisa Grissim's office at Restore Hormonal Vitality and Wellness Center here in Nashville just over a year ago, I was a dulled-down version of my former self and certainly of the one I am today. The lack of information about HRT baffled me and once I started talking about it, the feedback was so overwhelming I knew I had to make it an episode. Lisa is here today to answer questions that you sent in and I hope it gives you some answers and direction. Please consult your own medical doctor for your individual care. Have you been wishing there was a resource for young women that would give them all the information they need to know about their body, their fertility cycle, and their hormones? Do you wish young women knew that there are alternatives to using birth control to treat period problems? In a world where women are often told that their bodies need to be controlled or suppressed, a new book from Lumen Press, in partnership with The Guiding Star Project and the Vitae Foundation, offers a different narrative. Written by women's health nurse practitioner and co-creator of The Hormone Genius Podcast, Teresa Kenney's new book The Happy Girl's Guide to Being Whole aims to set young women free to believe their bodies were made good, and should be supported and respected. With over 22 years of clinical practice, working with women across the reproductive lifespan, and her service on the board of directors of the Guiding Star Project, a national, “wholistic” women's health movement, Kenney's experience amounts to a wealth of information for women seeking the truth about their bodies. Jamie will interview Teresa about her new book and what it all entails, how it could change the life of a woman you love, and where you can grab your copy today! It is available at lumenpress.org and on Amazon today, and do not forget to leave a review :) Especially on Amazon to help more women see this book as they are browsing for books about body literacy! https://www.amazon.com/Happy-Girls-Guide-Being-Whole/dp/1735223727/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2C23LSP0CLXJE&keywords=teresa+kenney&qid=1684895726&sprefix=teresa+kenney%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-1 https://www.lumenpress.org/product/the-happy-girls-guide-to-being-whole/ Medical disclaimer: The information presented in The Hormone Genius Podcast is for informational purposes only and is not intended to be a substitute for actual medical or mental health advice from a doctor, psychologist, or any other medical or mental health professional.

Grooming your private area is a, well... private matter. Some women may choose to remove unwanted hairs through trimming, shaving, waxing, lasers, and some other methods. Some may choose to leave those hairs entirely alone. All is fine. But, even grooming affects the seven domains of your health. Anthropologist and women's health nurse practitioner Dr. Katie Ward joins this episode of 7 Domains of Women's Health to talk about the evolution of personal grooming and why women may choose to remove hair down there.
Dr. Deb Muth, Naturopathic Doctor, Priestess, and host of the Let's Talk Wellness Now podcast, is on a mission to teach women how they can use their feminine energy to build the life and business they desire. Her story shows why understanding masculine and feminine energy is crucial throughout our career paths.Dr. Deb worked hard to grow the Midwest's largest integrative medical clinic, Serenity Health Care Center, as well as 6 other businesses.Despite the success, she felt something wasn't right. As she turned 50, she realized that she left behind her feminine energy–and exhausted her masculine energy–building her empire. After feeling lost and far from feminine, Dr. Deb began the journey of embracing her feminine energy and understanding why it is SO important. It changed her life and how she approached her career. Now living from her feminine strengths while still loving the masculine world of fun and business, she created what feels is the perfect life balance! And she wants to share…Dr. Deb believes the world will be a better place if women truly understood the difference between the feminine movement and feminine energy…and how to radiate feminine energy.
