Today, Lo Nigrosh shares how she's raising her kids to be compassionate and open-minded. She shares her birthing experience wherein she was induced despite not wanting to and being filled with so many fluids that she can't wear her prosthetic leg. Despite the time difference, Shelly and Jocelyn recorded this episode to share with you the importance of having the right support system if you have a miscarriage or abortion. No one has to be alone. Aside from that, Jocelyn shares how her two angels, Charlotte and Oaklyn, guided her to this field. Now, she's helping women and families go through this part of their lives wherein grief is abundant. Also, she emphasized that support should not only be available to the mother. It should also be accessible to the father, partner, or guardian because they too are grieving the loss. Listen now and hear her story while being informed about what you can do to make the world better for people who's had miscarriages and abortions. Most parents are scared to hear “NICU.” Who wouldn't, right? As parents, we want the best for our babies the moment they are brought into this world. Nobody wants their baby to stay in a hospital attached to different machines. However, it is something we barely have control over. In this episode, we are joined by Emily Newberg. She is the founder of Baby Bean, a birth and postpartum doula, and an expert on all things baby. With her 20+ years of experience in taking care of babies and families, she didn't expect that there would be a time when she would be the one needing much support. Along with the remarkable things she's done, she's also a NICU mom. According to her, having all the knowledge and experiences may have made her experience a little lighter, but it's still different when you are in that situation. Listen and learn from her NICU story and how she and her baby survived and is now enjoying the comforts of their own home.
