I, your host Alundas Havens, will be sharing a 9-step process that I have personally worked through during my own current challenges. Right now, I am going through a tough time, but instead of complaining or giving in, I am determined to show up for myself and be the best version of me. The steps we will discuss include accepting and acknowledging your situation, cultivating a mindset that will help you overcome, developing coping mechanisms, embracing change, creating a supportive environment, prioritizing self-care, finding meaning and purpose, maintaining hope and optimism, and finally, learning from the experience. I wanted to share this process with you because it's something I'm actively going through myself. Recently, my wife underwent surgery, and initially, I downplayed its impact on me. But I realized that in order to be there for others who rely on me, I need to take care of myself and face this challenge head-on. Along the way, I've been navigating my own thoughts and emotions, resisting the temptation to escape through substances or distractions. Join me as I share my experiences, insights, and the strategies I am employing to build resilience during these tough times. It's time to tap into our inner strength and become our best selves, no matter what life throws at us. Timestamps: [00:00:39] Figure out how to be my best self [00:04:16] "Prioritize self-care for best self." [00:08:49] Self care: journaling, exercising, quality time. [00:11:31] Pray, read Bible, show up fully present.  You'll Learn: 1.How does Alundas Havens use his personal experiences to create relevant content for his podcast? 2. What are the 9 steps Alundas outlines for building resilience during tough times? Do you agree with these steps? 3.  How does Alundas emphasize the importance of showing up for oneself during challenging situations? 4.What coping mechanisms does Alundas mention using during tough times? How do these mechanisms help him navigate adversity? 5.How does Alundas address the temptation to escape or turn to substances during difficult periods? What strategies does he employ instead? The Struggles of Mental Health: "This is something that if I didn't understand or I didn't have the mental fortitude, I could easily start drinking and, just check out of life, you know, find that escapism that's gonna allow me to check out of life and so forth."— Alundas Havens 00:02:4600:02:57 Top Recommended Resources:www.thewinnersparadigm.com Now Sponsored By My Fit Life   DISCOUNT CODE: TWP20 For 20% OFF https://myfitlife.net/?ref=3Ogi6ygr  Get More Involved with The Winning Community:Click Here to join our Facebook group where we discuss what it takes to calibrate your mindset and get to the next level Thanks for Rocking With US! Take care of yourself first. And that's why I say well-being is I'm telling you for a fact, if you look at every single fucking thing you're putting in your mouth, and you're doing the workouts and you're taking care of your body and you're stretching, you're eating your fruits, vegetables, you're overemphasizing, you're reading, you're doing something in your spiritual practice. it's just gonna allow you to be able to tap into who you truly are and how you can be better off for yourself because first, you know, you gotta put your oxygen mask on before you can help anybody else. It's just the truth."— Alundas Havens 00:08:1100:08:42 Top Recommended Resources:www.thewinnersparadigm.com Want to take your show to the next level?  Let Alpha Influence Media help you out! In this episode we are speaking with CEO and Founder, Alundas Haven. Alundas Havens was a Marine Corps Veteran. He endured physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, and created mental barriers to keep myself “safe” from the world.  He later understood that he trapped himself into a box where he had limited beliefs and didn't understand simple life concepts. The Marine Corps allowed him to find his tribe and excel but when he had a freak injury that too took a toll on his mental well being.  He had to leave what he was good at and searched for what was next, as a Veteran it's tough to reintegrate into a society that does not understand you one bit. He started The Winners Paradigm to help people who are currently battling to improve and calibrate their mindset so they can achieve their definition of success. In this episode we discuss: 1) Alundas shares his journey through challenges, how he came to recognize his own limiting beliefs, and how he created The Winners Paradigm to help people who are working to improve their mindset so they can achieve their definition of success.  2) This led him to help others to produce their podcasts and continue to share their messages with the world. As an adult, Alundas was able to transition this mindset into a successful career in the US Marine Corps. Since leaving the service, Alundas has built himself a career in digital media that is providing a life for himself and his family. A life of grappling and military service has taken its toll on Alundas' body. On this episode, Alundas shares about the steps he is taking to get back to the mats after having to stop due to injury. We talk about how the mindset developed through martial arts sticks with a person, even when they are not able to train.  Alundas opens up about how he had to take pharmaceutical drugs to deal with panic attacks. He shares why this mainstream method did not work and why he instead chooses cannabis to help with his journey of recovery. You will learn about how grappling prepares a child for a rigorous life. We also discuss the pros and cons of using cannabis vs. pharmaceutical drugs and how martial arts training helped Alundas when he was deployed with the USMC. Alundas grew up being abused and watched what alcoholism did to my parents. As a result, he had identity issues and could not function around people socially. Alundas got kicked out of his home and even questioned all the limiting beliefs he had been conditioned to believe. He questioned his existence because Alundas had lost four close friends and his grandfather, which devastated him. All the trauma he experienced in the military came out in his marriage. Alundas now uses his passion for inspiring others and showing that you can find ways to win no matter what. Alundas is a United States Marine Corps Veteran, CEO & Founder of Alpha Influence Media He also is the Host & Founder of The Winners Paradigm Podcast 2016-2020 and shows how you can shift losses into wins and how you can flip the script and take action for your goals! Listen in as we talk about the challenges Alundas had to endure, like living in a heavy gang area and the abuses he grew up with. Alundas and I get real and raw!

Helping others to establish a dominant brand through podcasting is what Podcast Powertrain is all about. One of the many people that make that possible is Alundas Havens.  His tumultuous upbringing caused him to develop grit and a strong work ethic. Despite his tough childhood, Alundas knew from an early age that he was going to make it, even if it was just to prove everyone wrong.    After 4 years in the Marine Corp., Alundas tried his hand at a few things, but really wanted to start a podcast. When there was an opportunity to purchase Zach's podcasting course for just $47, Alundas dove in. He was deeply motivated by the Underdog Empowerment Movement group, especially by Zach himself. Launching The Winner's Paradigm podcast, Alundas got on Zach's radar. Zach was impressed by Alundas' grit and determination, and he knew he was someone he needed on his team.    What You'll Learn: How Alundas' childhood shaped him into who he is today. What Alundas hopes to achieve with his podcast. What core values Alundas lives by.  And much more!!   Favorite Quote: “As entrepreneurs, as alphas, we figure out the way to win, and then we dominate.” -Alundas Havens   Connect With Alundas:   LinkedIn   The Winners Paradigm   How to Get Involved:   Get podcasting help here.   For more on how to grow your business, check out this episode.  If you enjoyed this episode, head over and visit us on Apple Podcasts - leave a review and let us know what you thought!
