Quadrise PLC (AIM:QED) non-executive chairman Andy Morrison and CEO Jason Miles talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's latest strategic leadership update and its focus on delivering key commercial and technology goals. Morrison outlined that Miles will transition to a new role focused on advancing Quadrise's core technologies and overseeing trial programmes, particularly those involving MSC and Cargill. Morrison stated, “We all believe the time for Quadrise PLC is now. We need to get on with it to deliver our technology and play our role in the decarbonization of shipping and the heavy industry sectors that we serve.” He explained that the change follows successful fundraising efforts in January and milestone achievements across core areas of the business. The search for a new CEO will now begin, with Morrison temporarily increasing his involvement to support the transition. Miles said his new role, effective 1st June, would allow him to focus more on the company's bioMSAR technology and extend its IP portfolio. He emphasised the importance of the marine sector trials and commercial scale-up of their fuels. Quadrise is also strengthening its team with new appointments to build sector-specific expertise. April 23, 2025 - New York State Attorney General Letitia James is going after de facto payday lending operations that she claims are engaging in abusive and deceptive practices. Andy Morrison, associate director of the New Economy Project, discusses the attorney general's lawsuit and makes the case for stricter regulations of online financial services.
Andy Morrison will be remembered by most football fans as an outstanding and incredibly tough football player but that doesn't begin to tell even a fraction of his story. Andy suffered trauma as a child and, for a time, alcohol and violence drowned out the noise and damage in his head. In 1999, under the tutelage of Joe Royle and Willie Donachie, he lifted the most important trophy in Manchester City's history, the 1999 Division 2 Play Off, but it was off the pitch where his real triumph was. His last drink was February 1999. He has done so much work on himself and so much to help others, he has worked with prisoners, coached as far afield and continues to inspire and support men, particularly those struggling with alcohol abuse. If you enjoyed this episode go and buy Andy's book The Good, the Mad and the Ugly. ‘A complete nutter.'A phrase used to describe Andy Morrison by Blackpool manager Sam Allardyce. And, if you were to ask anyone who played against him, they would probably be the same. However, to played in the Premier League twice, captained half of the clubs you have played for and be named as Manchester City's best ever captains, you're more than just a hardman.Jock, moved to Plymouth from Scotland as a two-year old and rose through the ranks at his beloved Argyle.A move to the Premier League beckoned with Kenny Dalglish bringing him to Blackburn Rovers and although it didn't work out there, success flowed Jock wherever he went. Blackpool, Huddersfield and Manchester City regard him as one of their finest ever players. Now, as a coach, he is in Sri Lanka trying to build a football dynasty there, just as he did in the Welsh Premier League before. This is the story of Andy ‘Jock' Morrison. The podcast will also available wherever you get your podcasts, including Spotify,

As a player Andy Morrison was a central defender who played in the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City. Although only playing 38 League games over four seasons for City he captained the club in the 1999 Football League Second Division play-off Final victory over Gillingham and would play for the club in three different League's. He is regarded as one of City's best ever captain's. He also played in the Football League for Plymouth Argyle, Blackpool, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United. Following retirement, Morrison became assistant manager of Bury, later having a similar role at Northwich Victoria and Airbus UK Broughton. He later had a spell as director of football of Connah's Quay Nomads before going on to manage the club for six years. He has also mixed his coaching roles with being the fan ambassador for Manchester City.

After a troubled stage in his career, Andy Morrison moved to Manchester City from Huddersfield as the club had sunk into the third tier. A fiery character, the Scot was just what the Blues needed to give them leadership in one of their toughest seasons - and City were just what Morrison needed to get back on the right track. Described as "a bit of a bully" by Joe Royle, Morrison captained the team back to the Premier League from Division Two. He spoke to the Blue Moon Podcast's David Mooney about his career and the flashpoints in his life that sparked his temper. Our GDPR privacy policy was updated on August 8, 2022. Norwich 0-4 City. A Raheem Sterling hat-trick and another from Phil Foden sealed a fine win on Saturday at Carrow Road as City made it 14 wins from our last 15 Premier League games. It took us 12 points clear at the top of the table once again, although Liverpool have two games in hand, starting with their trip to Burnley on Sunday. City were exceptional, despite making five changes and then bringing on three youngsters during the closing stages. This is a squad with quality throughout. And there's no doubt we're going to need it. With City chasing a fourth league title in five years – and with FA Cup and Champions League involvement too – the next few months could be manic. All the players will be called upon. After the game, we heard from Pep Guardiola and hat-trick hero Raheem Sterling – and joining us in the Matchday Live studio were Andy Morrison and Shaun Goater. A 3-1 win at Watford on Saturday – our seventh victory in a row in all competitions – saw us go top of the Premier League for the first time this season after Chelsea's defeat earlier in the day. Raheem Sterling headed home the opener and a Bernardo Silva double put us 3-0 up, before Cucho Hernandez's late goal reduced the deficit. A new club record was set. It was our 31st win of the calendar year, surpassing our previous record of 30, which we managed in both 2017 and 2019. After the game, we heard from Guardiola, Bernardo and Sterling – and joining us in the Matchday Live studio were Shaun Goater and Andy Morrison. City delivered a wonderful display in Belgium on Tuesday, beating Club Brugge 5-1 - equalling our biggest winning margin in the Champions League proper. It was a near-perfect display. City, led by the genius of Phil Foden, were sharp, inventive and creative. Brugge struggled to get the ball off us and we are now in a very strong position to qualify from Group A. Both full-backs scored – has that happened for City before? – Mahrez got two and Cole Palmer's dream week continued when he became only the third teenager to score in the Champions League for City (the others being Foden and Kelechi Iheanacho). Palmer came off the bench for the first team in Saturday's win over Burnley in the Premier League, before hot footing it over to the Academy Stadium where he scored a hat-trick in our Premier League 2 game against Leicester – and now he has a goal in Europe's elite club competition. He is a star in the making and this is a week he will never forget. After the game, we heard from scorer of the opening goal Joao Cancelo, as well as the mastermind of it all Pep Guardiola – and joining us in the Matchday Live studio were Andy Morrison and Richard Dunne. Manchester City are Premier League champions! Manchester United’s defeat to Leicester on Tuesday means we now have an unassailable lead after 35 games. It is Pep Guardiola's 10th major honour since taking charge at City in 2016, and it comes a week after we booked our place in the UEFA Champions League final at the end of the month with a 4-1 aggregate victory over Paris Saint-Germain. After the Leicester result came in, we spoke to Pep, Rodri, Fernandinho and Txiki Begiristain - and Shaun Goater and Andy Morrison joined us at the Etihad to bask in the glow of our third title win in four years. City have won four Carabao Cups in a row! A 1-0 over Tottenham at Wembley Stadium secured the latest, with Aymeric Laporte's header in the 82nd minute the difference between the two sides. This is our sixth success in eight years, meaning we draw level with Liverpool for the most wins in the competition’s history (8). The result also means Pep Guardiola becomes the first manager in history to win four in a row (2018-2021). And Fernandinho and Sergio Aguero are now the most decorated players in the competition’s history, with their six successes moving them one clear of Ian Rush and David Silva (both five). After the game, we heard from Pep, Fernandinho, Laporte and man-of-the-match Mahrez - and Andy Morrison and Shaun Goater were out guests in the We're Not Really Here studio. City made it 27 wins in 28 matches with a 2-1 victory at home to Borussia Dortmund in our Champions League quarter-final first leg. City have set a new English record of 10 consecutive top-flight league wins at the start of a year! Our 3-1 victory away at Everton means we move clear of Bolton Wanderers, who managed nine league wins in a row at the start of 1904, and Manchester United, who began 2009 with nine on the bounce. Our 10 straight Premier League successes in 2021 forms part of an even more impressive story. We are now 24 games unbeaten in all competitions, with our last defeat coming on November 21 away at Spurs. We've conceded just seven goals in that period. And it’s now a remarkable 17 wins in a row in all competitions! And what's more, the win at Goodison Park moves us 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League table after 24 matches.
