Earlier this week, FOX News Rundown host Dave Anthony spoke to a survivor, Craig Scott, who lost his sister that day, but also saved some of his classmates that day. Craig shared in great detail what he witnessed, how faith guided him on that terrible day, and how he learned that his sister, Rachel Scott, had been fatally shot by the two killers. He also discussed the lasting legacy of his Rachel, who was the first student murdered during the shooting. Craig also shared how he's trying to help troubled teens, and what can be done to reduce the number of school shootings in America. The segment that aired this week on the regular weekday version of the Rundown only included a small portion of the interview. Today marks 25 years since the shooting at Columbine High School, an event that shook the United States and shocked the world but what lessons have been learned since then, and how have those who experienced that horrific event made peace with what happened? Anton is joined by Craig Scott, host of the ‘Pain into Purpose' Podcast & survivor of the Columbine shooting to discuss.
On April 20, 1999, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold gunned down twelve students and one teacher—at that time, this was the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history. Since then, there have been over 400 school shootings across the country, with 1 in 4 public school teachers saying they have been in a gun-related lockdown in the past year. Last week, the parents of Michigan school shooter Ethan Crumbley were sentenced to at least a decade in prison for missing opportunities to prevent the 2021 massacre. Columbine survivor and advocate Craig Scott joins the Rundown to reflect on 25 years since the infamous shooting, bring attention to his sister Rachel Scott's story, and share how to prevent future incidents. The House Select Committee on China held a hearing this past Tuesday, sharing their findings that China is creating financial incentives for companies to create precursor chemicals in the manufacturing of fentanyl. Former Attorney General Bill Barr was among those testifying, and he stated that he was not surprised by the committee's findings. Congressman Seth Moulton (D-MA-6) and Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA-2) join the podcast to discuss the need for bipartisan action on the fentanyl crisis, how Congress can take action against China, and explain how Mexico impacts the flow of the drug. Plus, commentary by Jimmy Failla, host of “Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla.” Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Identifying, training, and retaining talent continues to be a challenge for all fields of engineering. At the same time, diversifying the mix of engineering graduates to include more underrepresented groups is critical. Historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), minority serving institutions (MSIs), tribal colleges and universities, and others are making significant strides in growing the number of underrepresented groups entering engineering through a variety of strategies. In this episode, Craig Scott shares insights into engineering workforce challenges and some possible solutions. Scott is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Clarence M. Mitchell Jr. School of Engineering at Morgan State University in Baltimore. He is also president of the Inclusive Engineering Consortium (IEC)—a non-profit organization comprised of historically minority serving institutions working to produce a larger and better prepared pool of African-American, Hispanic, and Native American engineering graduates.

The Afghan Detainee scandal became the defining story of Canada's war in Kandahar. It exposed Canada's complicity and direct involvement in war crimes. And it helped fuel the insurgency that eventually brought down the Afghan government. Despite repeated denials by senior government and military officials, there's evidence that many Canadians knew they were sending Afghans to be tortured. So why did so few people do anything to stop it? And what role did Harjit Sajjan, Trudeau's first Minister of Defence, play in ensuring that the full story will never come out? Professional double-bassist Craig Scott of the Sydney Conservatorium joins Dan and Pia to discuss the ultimate team: the jazz ensemble.“There's probably no better example of democracy than a jazz ensemble – individual freedom, but with responsibility to the group,” –Michelle ObamaJazz improvisation follows a set of rules that enable creativity within a structure, so that out of a predictable pattern can come something different each time it's performed.Within an ensemble, each member might get their own moment to lead, by taking on the melody of the piece and expanding on it. The musician in the lead role can then signal, through their solo, that it's time for another musician to take up that leadership role. This requires all members of the band to be listening, not just to the notes, but for other cues to lead or make space for others.Links Judy Bailey Trio playing My Romance Yes to the Mess: Surprising Leadership Lessons from Jazz

We welcome another voice into our mix, and discuss the Delta variant and the woes that have come with it physically and politically, and hope that we're near the end.
Tom is joined by boxing writer Craig Scott (Boxing Social, Boxing News) to preview the weekend's action, including Gervonta Davis vs. Mario Barrios and Vasily Lomachenko vs. Masayoshi Nakatani.
Craig Scott, whose sister Rachel Joy Scott was killed during the Columbine High School shooting in 1999, was among the students who saw much of the carnage unfold inside the school's library that day, witnessing the deaths of close friends and peers. "I went to the library to study for a test ... I started hearing these popping noises coming from outside the school," Scott recently told Pure Flix Insider. "At first I thought it was a senior prank." Listen to him reveal what God spoke to him and the moments and actions that he believed saved his life. Plus, he details his path to forgiveness.
Craig Scott is a survivor of the columbine high school shooting. He was in the most intense scene - the library - where 10 students were killed. Craig joins the show to talk about the anniversary and the media's role in distracting the public from the real issues. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Action Item For your action item this week, I would like to tap into what Craig said about short term revenue vs. long term revenue. I would re-phrase long term revenue as either passive income or residual income. This is a topic we have been discussing in-depth in some of my Mastermind groups this month. ACTION: For your action I want you to think about the types of residual income that Craig mentioned such as royalties from books and commissions from webinars. Try to brainstorm some more types of residual income. Here's one to get you started - affiliate income which is the linking to sites like Amazon.com. If people purchase through your link then you get a small commission. Try to make as big a list as you possibly can. If you're stumped, go online and Google passive or residual income. Then take a look at your list and see which streams of income might be best for your situation and your business. When you're all done leave a comment in the show's secret Facebook group. You can get to that by signing up for the Genealogy Professional podcast newsletter on the website at thegenealogyprofessional.com.
