Amen.     -Sr. Divinia de Claro, fsp l Daughters of St. Paul

Mr. Steven Sedlmayr, inventor, scientist, author and the founder of Divinia Water, discusses how water is integral to health and what makes Divinia different. Early on, Mr. Sedlmayr worked for Martin Marietta in theoretical mathematics and space flight mechanics (he was 16-17). He became interested in mathematics and math algorithms. He also worked for a company called ARF electronics where he worked on antennas and emitters in high frequencies. Later, he started a company that did instant replays and scoring in arenas, which led to the development of a large screen display with fiber optics that used a laser projector that he invented, built, and developed. It was the forerunner of the hang-on-the-wall displays for televisions today. He developed a coherent light source from lasers and also from a new design of reflector, which is used in many optics today, including telescopes. After selling his inventions, during retirement he decided to invent a better water purifier. The technique relied upon produced a strange new water that behaved differently. After noting the differences, people who were drinking it reported better health. It was discovered that the water acted differently near a hydrophilic surface and it was confirmed after testing that was the 4th phase of water and was deuterium depleted. Steven has written a book about water and human digestion and what role water plays in the digestive tract, including the pH of water. With all this testing accomplished and new knowledge gained, he is turning his attention to the Shroud of Turin. He has decided with the knowledge that he has gained throughout his life through different inventions and scientific techniques, that he could lend a hand on the suggestions for the testing of the Shroud. He is currently working on writing a paper that would focus on how to accomplish this task. We're concluding our Divinia sermon series, where we're learning about how spiritual practices of "divina" can help us connect to the Divine. This Sunday Pastor Christian leads us in an examination of the practice of Odoratio Divina with a sermon from John 11:32-44. This practice is based on the word divine which means to turn towards God. It is the Latin word for smelling and breathing in. Just as we take time to smell the roses, we can take time to breathe in the presence of God. This can be done anywhere, anytime, and with anything that has a scent.

Communicating with God in Prayer | Word and Songs Writer: Sr. Divinia de Claro, FSP Truly, God is there, every time we communicate with Him, in prayer. The psalmist says: “Before the word is on my tongue, Lord, You know it all… (Psalm 139: 4). Yes. God knows before we can tell Him anything. But still, He wants us to communicate with Him. When you feel the burden of sin, ask forgiveness from God, through the sacrament of Penance. He is there to forgive you, in the person of the priest. He is just there when you want to talk to Him and tell Him, about anything and everything! But when our request is delayed, we might sometimes say: “God is asleep.” Yes, sometimes, that's what we feel when the grace we ask for, is not granted. No, the truth is, that God does not sleep. If our request is not granted, God must be preparing a better gift for you! Once you start communicating with God, though you may not be aware of it… you are already praying. Yes, that's prayer! In case you find it hard to start praying, ask God to teach you how to pray, in the Holy Spirit. May we always remember: “Prayer, is God's initiative…” Jesus taught His disciples how to pray. He said: “This is how you are to pray ‘Our Father…' (Mt. 10: 6-10ff.). Did you notice that Jesus addressed God as our Father? I suppose all of us know how to pray the “Our Father” … If we try to reflect on this prayer, in the process, we realize that we are communicating with God as our Father, the 1st Person of the Blessed Trinity. We ask Him that “His name be holy,” that “His kingdom may come,” and that “His will be done on this earth as it is in heaven.” But how can His name be holy? How can His kingdom come? How can His will be done in us? Worth reflecting on, isn't it? The Father's name will be holy if we praise Him in prayer. But we cannot praise Him if we have not recognized Him, as a Father Who guides us, protects us, who sustains us, gives us everything, and Who provides for us! We can only pray, “Father, holy be Your name”, every time we obey Him, every time we are open to doing His will, rather than ours. But most often, we find ourselves, doing our own will, isn't it? Father, holy be Your name…” Truly, doing the will of the Father will glorify Him and it will lead us to His kingdom. Jesus, God the Son, did the Father's will, faithfully. Jesus was sent by the Father, so that we may experience God's great love for each one of us, and to let us concretely feel His loving presence, manifested in our daily life. He saves us from all dangers, He heals us in our ailments, He comes to our rescue when we are at a loss, when we are face to face with our weaknesses, with our trials and difficulties, when we find it hard to move on…He wants to reach out to us, in our heartaches, when we are confronted with our pains, loneliness, depression, and all kinds of suffering, physically, emotionally, spiritually… Let us continue to communicate/ and meet Jesus in prayer, especially when feel all alone with no one to turn to… Let us talk to Him, in all the events of our life. If we are open to God's workings in our life, we will be filled with thanksgiving to Him for all wonders He has done and continues to show us, every day, every moment of our life. Friends, can you recall an experience of God's goodness and love, in your life? Isn't it that every time we remember it, we spontaneously say: “Thank you, Lord!”

The Truth and the Mystery in the Holy Trinity with Sr. Lines Salazar, fsp Scriptwriter: Sr. Divinia de Claro, FSP We usually start our day with the sign of the cross, offering everything to the Lord with this prayer: “In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” If you notice, all the prayers recited in the celebration of the Holy Mass start with invoking the Father and end with “…Grant this, through Christ Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.” With this, we profess our faith in one God in three Divine Persons: God the Father- the Creator, God the Son- the Redeemer, and God the Holy Spirit- the Sanctifier. Yes, we invoke the Holy Trinity, anytime, anywhere, when we are faced with trials and difficulties, when we go out, when we eat, when we enter the church, or wherever we are… we make the Sign of the Cross, in honor of the Holy Trinity. When we receive the sacraments, we make the Sign of the Cross. But we might be wondering: “Who is the Holy Trinity in my life?” We don't need to dissect this mystery, but God Himself will teach us and He will let us experience His presence as a loving Father, as a loving Son in Christ Jesus, and as a loving Advocate in the Spirit. By the way, the word Advocate means Defender. Yes, the Holy Spirit is our Defender, here and now. The Holy Spirit has been present, from the creation of the world. The book of Genesis, chapter 1:27 says: … “Let us make man in our image and likeness.” In the 2nd Creation story, “Gen. 2:7, says: “The Lord God, formed man out of the clay of the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life, so the man became a human being…” The Spirit is the breath of God, which gives life. But we know from the creation story that Adam and Eve, disobeyed God. Yet, God did not abandon them. He made a long-range plan of salvation to redeem man. He called those He had chosen: the patriarchs, and the prophets, among them, to fulfill His promise to send the Messiah. In the fullness of time, God sent the Savior, His only Son into the world, to redeem man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a woman, suffered, died, and was buried, on the third day He rose again from the dead, He ascended into heaven… He promised to send the Holy Spirit, Who will continue to guide us and reveal the truth, about God's loving plan of salvation. As we reflect on our salvation history, we would know that the Holy Spirit has been at work then and now, and He continues to reveal God's saving power to His people. Yes, the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Blessed Trinity, is with us. Isn't it inspiring to know that amid troubles and seeming darkness around us, the Triune God is with us now, in the Holy Spirit?

– Sr. Divinia de Claro, FSP | Daughters of St. Paul

Kaya minsan, nakakalimutan ng ilan sa atin, that Jesus is the reason for the season. – Sr. Divinia de Claro, FSP | Daughters of St. Paul

Close and careful reading is training that few possess, much less practice. But what if the Scriptures were not meant to just be accessed, but rather meditated upon: slowly and deeply? This week as we discuss what the ancients called Lectio Divina, i.e. "divine reading"; how might the practice of slowing down and contemplating through the Scriptures connect us deeply with God?

Season 1, Episode 5: The Most Splendid Race; or: How Divinia von Presterton Raced Lord Tiberius Q. Braithwaite Around the World and, Concurrently, Saved the United States with the Power of Steam! The year is 1899. As the world approaches the millennium it is a time of wonder-- the Industrial Revolution has spawned an unprecedented era of invention and innovation. In a past not too different from our own, men and women take to the skies in airships and dirigibles; conquer the world with electricity and steam! When America's foremost adventuress, Divinia von Presterton, is denied entrance to the all-male Metcalfe Society she challenges the club's president to a race around the world! Along the way they'll meet Tesla, Annie Oakley, Henry Ford, Queen Victoria, a slightly zombified Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Edison and his terrible death ray! It's steampunk adventure and comedy in a splendid vision of days gone by! Recorded live at Bozeman, Montana's Equinox Theatre, now known as the Verge Theater on July 16, 2011! What you hear is what the audience heard with no overdubs and minimal post-production to try to make it comfortable to your ears! In this first season, we had not yet made the decision to have entirely analog effects, but Sound Impresario Rob Robinson did activate each one live on stage! Written and Directed by Keith Suta Featured cast: Sarah Jackson as Divinia von Presterton; Robert Dalton as Lord Tiberius Q. Braithwaite; Ryan Lawrence Flynn as Nikola Tesla and Benjamin Franklin; Sadie Cassavaugh as Annie Oakley, Queen Victoria and Carrie Nation; Christian McDaniel as Henry Ford, Preston Von Presterton and George Westinghouse; and Keith Suta as Thomas Edison and Mr. Announcer Music and sound effects: Rob Robinson
