All the way back in episode 93, we reviewed DDO. Even though this used to be a distillery only release with limited distribution in Kentucky, it now is a nationwide release and it comes in a bigger bottle than what we are used to. The 15-0 Cavs and the Celtics faced off in the first bout of this season's Double Double Bowl, and the Celtics won! Darius Garland had one of the worst games of his career and Jayson Tatum put up 33 pts to lead the Celtics to a very nice win. The rookies did not have a strong start to the season, but over the past 5-6 games we've seen great performances from Jared McCain and Dalton Knecht, two guys who absolutely could win ROTY this year. The sixers are doomed! They have 2 wins so far on the season and they do not seem to be working well together as a unit. Despite McCain's excellent play, Paul George can't be relied upon to score at volume and Embiid can't be relied upon to show up on time! After last year's Halloween Fifth Tuesday, many discussions were had about how to celebrate the occasion again in 2024 — but, ultimately, there was only one answer that everybody was definitely 100% on board about and excited for and agreed to without any trouble. Unanimously and in perfect unison, we all chose to revisit our shared childhoods with Double, Double, Toil and Trouble (1993), the made-for-TV movie starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. The tiny twins may have been well into building their empire by then (after all, they started as literal infants), but they were still getting used to the acting game, and it showed in their adorable performance as they kept accidentally looking into the camera. That said, they still gave a masterclass in sass, and they held their own amidst stars like Cloris Leachman, Eric McCormack, and Meshach Taylor.
