BONDED TO GODS PEACE

BONDED TO GODS PEACE  We spoke last week about being bonded to God's love and we concluded that knowing we are loved by God and believing we are loved by God is the most deep and profound spiritual thing we can do. It was the starting point of what to know as the ultimate truth of who God is and his goodness toward us and the power of God is seen in his ongoing creative acts of love for us - and when we believe in God's love we receive God's peace and God's joy. Today we are discussing God's peace and the same principle is involved as with being bonded to his love, which is that what we know as truth with our mind we will believe with faith in our heart.  Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you (focussed on you) because he trusts in you  Let us look at what peace means. In the original Greek the word is Eirene from the word eiro which literally means to be joined as one, and in spiritual terms that means being of one spirit with another person. This is what God wants with us, one spirit with him and one spirit with one another, and that means being of the one mind of truth and the one heart of faith as another person.  Jesus said ‘My peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (John 14:7). There is God's peace and the worlds' peace – and they are two very different things. Worldly peace is not really peace. The quest for worldly peace becomes the quest for worldly power. It comes from confidence in our own power base of influence or wealth without feeling threatened about losing it – and that can be a very unstable reality. A nation can feel peace if they have enough of a financial trading and military power base to overcome another nation in a war, but that is also a very unstable reality, depending on what military alliances they form and how much they trust in them.  God himself has perfect peace and certainly has no fear or anxiety about being threatened by any other power.  The Bible says that his spiritual peace and oneness is demonstrated in the Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit by the perfect spiritual agreement they enjoy with one another in all things. (1John 5:6-7). Jesus wants us to have that peace of spiritual agreement with God. Jesus does not give us the worldly peace of worldly power, but he gives us his peace, the spiritual power of his love and provision for our lives - and he tells us that his peace overcomes the fear and anxiety in our lives. That means that we come to agreement with God concerning his overall love and goodness to us even in the times when difficult times come upon us, we will receive his peace. Can we agree that God still loves us and is at work for our overall good to us when difficulties happen? If we say to God that we can no longer agree that he is good or that loves us because of the difficulty we are going through, we may forfeit the peace he wants us to receive from him. I think we all get tempted to think this at those times – why have you forsaken me? But God has said I will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5) We live with the constant challenge of discerning the difference between the peace of the world and the peace of God. If we are anxious about financial lack and difficulty, we learn to not look for the temporary peace of the world that comes through street-smart strategies. We pray to God for our needs to be met and we agree that God still loves us and is at work for our overall good to us when in difficult times. But money does not start falling from Heaven - God gives us wisdom concerning employment opportunities or diligence regarding investment or superannuation or plans for applying for a pension or whatever else is in his order for our lives. God doesn't solve the worldly problems we get fixated on – He meets needs.  There is no word for problem in the Bible but the word need (chrea- lack) is found 52 times in the New Testament. A problem is simply an unmet need, and our human nature tends to allow needs to turn into problems, so we have to reverse that and allow problems to turn into needs – and then we bring the needs to God – and that is prayer. (Philippians 4:6).  Living with needs can be managed in a Godly way that brings hope and trust in God, which often means waiting patiently for God's timing in things – faith and patience. God looks after our needs, but we attend to our problems by asking him to meet our need for wisdom or faith or we might humbly look for good advice from someone we trust. The closest word to problem that is mentioned in the bible was used when Paul said he was perplexed – he didn't understand why things were not working out the way he wanted them to at the time. But at the same time, he never lost hope.  2 Corinthians 4:8 But we have this treasure in jars of clay (God's inner unlimited power in our limited human bodies), to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, (under pressure from all sides) but not crushed; We are perplexed (apore?? - no answer to the problem), but not driven to despair. We are cast down but not forsaken – people put him down and circumstances appeared to overwhelm him but he was not forsaken by God.    Paul could have pushed back against the pressure with worldly power, and he could have anxiously analysed the perplexity, and he could have complained about being put down by others. But this is Paul's testimony of turning outer pressure and turmoil into inner peace. Paul learned the lesson of turning what looked like a problem into a need. He shared his need with God and became anchored in God's power and love and goodness and that gave him God's peace. He let the quest for the power and peace of the world die so that Gods inner power could come alive in him. He goes on to say so death is at work in us, but life is at work in you… For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.  Paul was describing what spiritual ministry was all about – death in him and life in others. Paul knew that God was strengthening his inner life while his outer life appeared to be more helpless than ever. He never lost hope because he knew that God had allowed that difficulty to happen and that God knew what he was doing, and he trusted God to bring about his good and perfect will for his life ad for those he was serving. We too will find that learning to live in perplexity but not in despair becomes a doorway into the peace of God. I can have faith and hope that even though I feel helpless he is the helper. Being in agreement with God about who he is and what he does establishes my peace.  When Isaiah prophesied You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is focussed on you he goes on to make this amazing prophetic promise about Jesus establishing his peace within us. LORD, You will establish peace for us, for you have indeed done all our works for us. His death and resurrection accomplished everything for the needs of mankind. That means – Jesus, you will give us perfect peace for you have died to the power and the peace of the world so that we can live in the peace and the power of God – your peace – your power. Jesus is our bond of agreement with the Father and the Holy Spirit and we can learn to live in that peace, day by day. Amen.

PRINCE OF PEACE  Isaiah prophesied around 720 BC about a time and a place where great light would confront great darkness (Isaiah 9:2). The great light that he writes about occurred with the birth of Jesus, the first Christmas around two thousand years ago, and the place was in the Middle east in a region called Galilee of the Gentiles, where the darkness of the tyranny of the Roman empire had overcome all the nations and cultures that opposed it.  Isaiah 9:2 By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan in Galilee of the Gentiles, the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; And for those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death a light has shined upon them Isaiah writes further about Jesus as that great light and the Prince of Peace… 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. The government will be upon his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David forever more. The dedication of the LORD of hosts will do this. In the time of Jesus, Galilee of the Gentiles was a place where idolatrous darkness opposed the one true religion called Judaism. And even Judaism opposed itself from within through doctrines of legalism and hypocrisy and pride, and this caused Jesus to tell them at that time that ‘they had missed their day of visitation (Luk 19:44). Galilee of the Gentiles was the battlefield of good against evil and of light against darkness, but it was to become the wellspring of life out of death.  Jesus, the light of the world of the first Christmas lived in Galilee of the Gentiles, which was under the control of the Roman Empire. He grew up in the towns of Nazareth and Capernaum and announced his ministry in Nazareth at 30 years of age when he preached in the synagogue to the Jewish people of his own hometown and said, ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted and to proclaim liberty for the captives (Luke 4). After saying this, the Jews whom he had grown up with were incensed with anger and wanted to push him over a cliff.  He was the great light that shone among that region of darkness, but the nation of Israel remained blinded to that light. However, the Apostle Paul wrote that this blindness would be lifted in the end times before his return – blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. (Romans 11:25). After three and a half years of his ministry Jesus would finally go to Jerusalem where he would die for all mankind and rise again from the dead, and to where he would  return at the end of the age. At that time he will overcome the final rebellious assault of great darkness against the power of his kingdom of great light. Isaiah's prophecy would then find its fulfillment through Jesus the Prince of Peace whose Kingdom will never end Amen.  And over two thousand years after the first Christmas, the world remains in great darkness, longing for a great light. Paradoxically, while Christmas is celebrated annually as a festive holiday, the miraculous significance of its great light is mostly misunderstood, along with the profound darkness that pervades a corrupt world. This darkness is also evident in the growing determination of many people to destroy Israel. The world is currently witnessing an increasing hatred of Jews which Jesus prophesied to his followers in Matthew when he said ‘and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake….and then will the end come…(Matthew 24:9f)'. This hatred is currently being fueled by certain sections of politics and the global media. At the same time, many Jewish rabbis and religious Orthodox Jews worldwide are fervently awaiting their promised Messiah. A great light is poised to shine, signaling God's loving desire of good will for all people. Israel, who did not receive him and who missed the day of his (first) visitation will finally be gathered together and brought into his great light, and we who have believed and yet not seen him will also be his signs of light and hope in today's world as the Prince of Peace. Peace, (Eirene in Greek), speaks of oneness, harmony, and togetherness, and just as different musical notes can create harmonious chords to be played in a symphony, we too can align our will with God's will, and bring that same peace and harmony and goodwill into our relationships. This harmony is grounded in trusting that God is always working on our behalf in unseen ways. And that is the core essence of our faith. God is the composer and conductor of life's grand symphony. He alone knows what lies ahead, orchestrating the course of history and the details of our individual lives. The choice is ours: will we invite Him to play in our band, or will we choose to play in His grand orchestra? ‘For we are his masterpiece (workmanship - poi??ma- production,), created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God had prepared beforehand for us to walk in'. Ephesians 2:10 Jesus knew that his father God had prepared all the supernatural works for his Son to walk in and he declared this when he said ‘The Son can do nothing – only what he sees his Father doing… John 5:19J. Jesus saw what Father had already done. Jesus didn't hurry to go and heal Lazarus – He saw what the father had done, and he raised Lazarus from the dead. It is the same with us if we look at that picture of being in harmony with God as like being part of his orchestra. The conductor knows the score – and Jesus followed his Father's timing just as we are called to follow God's timing as our Conductor in his orchestra. The Bible says that God makes everything beautiful in ITS time … whatever God does shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God does it, that men should be in awe of Him. That which is has already been, And what is to be has already been (Eccl. 3:11f). And our role is not to rush but to wait patiently, like an instrument resting through symphonic pauses.  We pray Lord that we do not miss our day of visitation but be mindful that as our Emmanuel, our God with us, your day of visitation is an invitation for us to join you every day all day. Amen. Paul O'Sullivan  - spiritcode.podbean.com  - pauloss@me.com

No we aren't talking about healthcare, as we know that is an industry that is fraught with inefficiencies and needs to produce a better outcome and experience for the consumers / patients.  This is on the other end of the spectrum in what we are calling 'death tech' to transform the funeral industry and 'Death Care', specifically bringing efficiency and an improved sales process experience when choosing cremation and aquamation for a loved one that has passed. ➤ Karen dives deep with Faisal into how Eirene Cremations is changing the death care industry, offering families peace and comfort through technology during the toughest of times. Tune in to understand how Faisal used technology, specifically Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Voice Recognition, to reshape end-of-life services. Episode Highlights: ✦ The Beginnings: Learn about Faisal's daring decisions and early challenges shaped his path to success.  First with the decision leave college to pursue his entrepreneur aspirations, and later, his leap from corporate software engineer to industry disruptor. ✦ Behind the Scenes: Discover how they used what is best describd as 'the lean startup model' in launching Eirene Cremations in Ontario starting with in depth customer discovery and business process management, manually documenting every aspect of the customer experience, the regulatory and paperwork requirements before writing the first piece of code. Then how the pivotal role of their proprietary, internally built, software enable the company's rapid growth in Canada, and positioned them to expand in to the US in 2024. ✦ A Market Revolution: Hear Faisal recount the tale of how a 'coffee meetup' uncovered a market inefficiency and the potential to transform the customer experience in a stagnant, slow to change and innovate industry that was ripe for disruption. It is a fascinating story to hear how an  idea to solve a problem, that fundamental "what if" moment, evolved into a solution, tapping Faisal's female co-founder's industry knowledge and his ow mastery of software tech and business process management to disrupt a stagnant, slow-to-adopt industry to deliver a tech-savvy, customer-oriented service.  ✦ The Personal Touch: Despite the perception of a web commerce site and tele-video meetings seemingly to be impersonal, the result is exactly the opposite.  Because of their impressive behind the scenes technology, Eirene Cremations can focus on the essence of its business - service and support for grieving families. They use their proprietary 'funeral OS' technology so that they can focus on the customer with a personal experience that helps families make arrangements for their loved ones, any time of day, and even if they are hundreds of miles away.  ✦ Future Frontiers: Faisal gives us a glimpse into potential international expansions and the cool, cutting-edge tech his team is working on for 2024. This episode is more than a success story; it's a masterclass in innovation, strategic scaling, and leveraging tech for genuine service improvements. Eirene Cremations is setting a new standard for the funeral industry, and we're privileged to share this journey with you. As always, your feedback is what shapes our content. After listening, let us know your thoughts on how technology can reinvent traditional industries, the value of realizing the customer discovery process to frame the solution, and the patience to truly understand the problem before building the technology to solve it. Pastor Terry Mahan's sermon today focuses on the theme of peace, asserting that when one allows the Holy Spirit to guide their life, it yields positive qualities like love, joy, and peace. The text underscores the distinctiveness of God's peace compared to worldly peace, citing John 14:25-28 to highlight the gift of peace bestowed by Jesus. The different dimensions of peace, such as Eirene and Shalom, are explored, accompanied by a quote from Oswald Sanders, emphasizing that peace is not the absence of trouble but the presence of God. Biblical verses, including Jeremiah 29:11 and Romans 5:1, underscore God's benevolent plans and the peace attained through faith in Jesus Christ. The dual role of Jesus as both Savior and Lord in establishing peace with God and providing the peace of God is emphasized. The analogy of Jesus as the vine and believers as branches is employed to convey the necessity of staying connected to Jesus for a fruitful life. Practical advice on maintaining peace is offered, discouraging worry and encouraging prayer and gratitude. Philippians 4:6-8 is referenced, highlighting the importance of directing thoughts towards positive and virtuous aspects to experience God's peace that surpasses understanding.

BODY SOUL AND SPIRIT AWARENESS  God uses the number three to depict his wonderful creative design in many things in the Bible – The number three speaks of perfect order and design and perfect unity and function. We see this in the Three in One Trinity of Father Son and Holy Spirit, symbolised in the Bible in the order of our cosmos of Sun, Moon and stars. We see it in Noah's Ark of salvation in the upper, middle, and lower decks. We see it in the eternal expression of his nature in Faith Hope and Love. And today we will be looking at his perfect design of humanity in Body, Soul, and Spirit.  1Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace himself (peace - Eirene – oneness and harmonising) sanctify you (set you apart – re-purposed, re-designate) completely (to reach the end goal) and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord. He who calls (invites) you is faithful; he will surely do it.  That is a great prayer and a great promise about what God wants to do in us. HUMAN CREATION Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground (Body) and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Spirit life); and man became a living soul. In the first instance of human creation the body came first from the dust of the ground then the spirit of life and then the soul or inner life which had to become formed throughout a person's life. In the generations that follow Adam and Eve the body gets passed on in seed and egg form along with a latent soul. The soul is the thinking, feeling, determining inner life with potential formation. The spirit life is created in the image of God and bequeathed to each individual life (designated to be joined to God's Spirit). And God said ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness' (Genesis 1:26)  THE BODY – HOW AWARE? People of all cultures have always understood that there was an outer life of bodily activities and an inner life of thinking and feelings and choosing, and that these were distinct and yet somehow, they merged together and affected each other - inner thoughts and feelings affect bodily sensations and bodily sensations affect inner feelings and decisions. Only the Scriptures speak with authority about this truth concerning the harmony of our whole being as God's creation.  With Jesus a human body was passed on through his mother, but the seed of spiritual life came directly from Heaven and a perfect human soul was formed by his loving obedience to his Father – a perfect pattern for our New Creation life. Hebrews 10:5 when Christ came into the world, he said … a body have you prepared for me, for I have come to do your will, O God Jesus didn't come just to know the will of God in his inner life but to do the will of God in his body.   Mark 1:41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him ‘I am willing; be cleansed.' (compassion = splagchnon- spleen) His inner heart life felt the compassion and his bodily senses felt this too (spleen) then his hands reached out and touched and healed. Christianity also pays vital attention to the significance of the body in relationship to being - and doing - serving God and one another in the will of God.  Paul says the way to serve God and worship him is let our bodies express his good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2) Paul said, ‘It is no longer I that live but it is Christ that lives in me and the life I now live in the body I live in the Son of God by faith.' (Galatians 2:20) THE SOUL (Greek - psyche). VERY AWARE! The soul is the will, the emotions, and the mind. The soul is created in potential form in each individual to form the character of the soul. Our soul suffers throughout life in the challenging journey of character formation  The will and the thoughts and emotions also link the soul to the body through bodily sensations when we choose to bring awareness to them. Just consider in your own experience how much your emotionally charged thoughts and stresses impact the state of your body and think about how the stresses upon your body affect the state of your soul in your thoughts and emotions and your will.  Jesus spoke about the weariness of the suffering soul and the burdens that weigh it down. ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Be yoked and let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:28) This suffering is created by humanity's mindset of separation from God – the original missing of the mark (the original sin) When Adam and Eve chose to not trust God but to do their own will instead of being yoked with God in doing his will together with him. When we respond to his invitation of ‘come to me' we embark on a lifetime journey for the soul, a journey of the transformation and healing (saving) of the soul through the Holy Spirit. (1Peter 1:9) This new way of living was not available in the Old Testament. The only way that God could bring any change of the soul to Israel was through the work of the Law and the Ten Commandments (Psalm 19 - The Law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul).  THE SPIRIT – BECOME AWARE! Our spirit (Greek = pneuma) is our essential being. It is our unique identity like a spiritual fingerprint. It is the seed that contains the potential for our future temperament and gifting and personality. It is God's original idea of who we are created to be, but we impose our flawed and deficient idea of who we are (our identity) upon our own soul. those ideas come from what is reflected to us from other people or from our own imaging instead of from God – and that causes much suffering for the soul. We have been joined in our spirit to the Spirit of life of a loving Father God through Jesus who heals our souls through the love that flows to us from the Holy Spirit. Jesus sowed his Spirit life as a seed into humanity through his death and resurrection, and by the sending of the Holy Spirit from Heaven into the earth on the day of Pentecost. THE MIRACLE OF RECONCILIATION 2Corinthians 5:18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, which is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not charging their sins against them, and has committed to us this word of reconciliation. The word used for reconciliation here is katalasso, which means ‘a mutual changing of two different yet similar things into an entirely new entity' (Strong's Concordance)  Katalasso is a combination of two words – Kata and allasso Kata denotes the qualities of intensity and of exceeding.  Allasso means ‘the mutual transformative exchange of two things to create a new thing'  Let us look at the spiritual equation of katalasso, God in Christ + Humanity + catalyst of forgiveness/love/mercy = A New Creation. God was eternally changed from pure Spirit Being into Human Spirit being in the incarnation of Jesus as a New Creation. Humanity was eternally changed from mere human being into ‘God with us humanity' in the death and resurrection and the sending of the Holy Spirit. This is for all of humanity and is waiting to be catalysed by our faith into the New Creation of Christ in us which becomes the expression of God's love and goodwill in the Earth.  Lead has been changed into gold for all eternity.  This is our salvation – the healing of our soul, and this is what God desires for all of us. God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1Timothy 2:4). Paul is the only one who makes clear the meaning of the word Reconciliation and the supernatural miracle work of reconciliation upon humanity through Jesus. Unfortunately, the word Reconciliation is not given its due in the Scriptures. The apostle Peter uses the word Longsuffering to convey the meaning of Paul's word Reconciliation and he unfolds its meaning superbly.   Longsuffering is the ‘withholding of judgement on sin so as to allow time for the work of grace to bring about repentance' 2Peter 3:9 [God] is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish (apollymi; ruin, waste, render useless) but that all should come to repentance. (metanoia – change of mindset) Peter goes on to say a few verses later. 2Peter 3:14 … be diligent to be found in Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation - as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. So Paul and Peter see eye to eye in these things. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BODY SOUL AND SPIRIT It is necessary that we have correct order in the relationship between body, soul and spirit for us to be whole and to function properly in both our inner and outer life. Paul writes that God's order is for our spirit to lead and order our soul (Romans 8:14). An ordered soul then leads our body into ordered behaviour. It makes sense that our spirit as our essential being should do this. He goes on to say that some people allow their bodily senses to control their souls in a disordered self -gratifying way, which leads to wrong choices and bad behaviour.  Paul said. ‘I discipline my body and keep it under control (1Corinthians 9:27) Our soul sits between the body and the spirit and receives information from both our body and our spirit and responds and reacts to both of these sources of information.  Our physical ear hears music, but our inner soul responds mindfully and emotionally to it and we even may wish to sing in tune with it or move in rhythm with our bodies. Our spirit is touched by the God but it is our soul that responds and chooses to obey and our bodies can also have a spontaneous physical worshipful response of weeping or on our faces before God or jubilation or contemplative stillness before the Lord.  THE SPIRITUAL HEART AND MIND Unlike any human being before him Jesus had his mind and heart fully embedded in his divine Spirit. He was the ‘fulness of the Godhead bodily'. His Divine Spirit spilled into his soul so that his thinking, feeling, willing and doing were directed by his Divine Spirit. Humanity originally had its mind and heart functioning between the soul and the human spirit (no indwelling Spirit of Christ). But since Jesus reconciled us (katallasso) we can have a new spiritual reality of being joined to the Lord in one spirit with him (1Corinthians 6:17) and our mind and heart can find their home in our New Spirit that is joined in Spirit with the Lord (if that is preached and heard and believed). This is in the New Covenant promise as seen in Ezekiel. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. (Ezekiel 36:26). We are also told by Paul that now we ‘have the mind of Christ' (1Corinthians 2:16). We are being renewed in the spirit of our minds so that we can discern the will of God for our daily lives (Romans 12:2). This is our faith in the work of the Holy Spirit within us to change us into his likeness – being transformed. When we know that our new heart and our new mind can operate in this realm of New Creation life it means that new desires will emerge in our hearts and a new spiritual understanding will come to our minds. These are different to the natural desires of the natural heart and the natural understanding in the natural mind of the human soul. The Bible says therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's (1corinthians 6:20) That means that our Body and our Spirit belong to God but we are responsible our souls in its formation of character. We set our New Creation hearts of faith on God to the highest level of intent that we can, to know his love and to live in it. It will never be perfect but God says ‘I know the measure of intention in your heart and my mercy will make up for the shortfall'. and we set our renewed minds of faith to fully understand how to know and to walk in his ways   and believe in his supernatural work in us. But we trust in the love and mercy of God to get us home. ‘He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it'. (1Thessalonians 5:24). It simply means that we trust the love and power of God to complete himself in us.  We get our spiritually renewed minds upon God and his goodness instead of upon ourselves and our neediness.  We become God conscious and not self-conscious - and our soul becomes healed, saved, transformed, completed, and our bodies can do what they were created to do. Just do it.

They were personal or supernatural companion spirits, comparable to the Roman genii, who ensured good luck, fertility, health, protection and wisdom. Though little noted in Greek mythology he was prominent in Greek folk religion;[5] it was customary to drink or pour out a few drops of unmixed wine to honor him in every symposium or formal banquet. In Aristophanes' Peace, when War has trapped Peace in a deep pit, Hermes comes to give aid: "Now, oh Greeks! is the moment when, freed of quarrels and fighting, we should rescue sweet Eirene and draw her out of this pit... This is the moment to drain a cup in honor of the Agathos Daimon." A temple dedicated to them was situated on the road from Megalopolis to Maenalus in Arcadia. An Agathos Daimon was the spouse or companion of Tyche Agathe. "Tyche we know at Lebadeia as the wife of the Agathos Daimon, the Good or Rich Spirit". Their numinous presence could be represented in art as a serpent or more concretely as a young man bearing a cornucopia and a bowl in one hand, and a poppy and an ear of grain in the other. The agathodaemon was later adapted into a general daemon of fortuna, particularly of the continued abundance of a family's good food and drink.Later some other versions have described agathodaemons as psychopomp beings which takes the dead ones which are on their card to the afterlife (Underworld ) but he doesn't judges them Agathodaemons have been described as personal guardians, helpers or protectors of people.According to the ancient Greeks each person was born with each personalities, the agathodaemon and the cacodaemon. #mdavidlitwa #GnosticInformant #Agathodaemon --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gnosticinformant/message
