The Bible opens with the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. After the first humans disobeyed and chose death, God graciously kept them away from the Tree of Life, lest they live forever in their fallen state. But now, at the end of the Bible, the Tree of Life reemerges in the garden environment of the capital city of heaven. Today, let's consider our future home.I. Anterior DesignII. Exterior DesignIII. This episode was supposed to be about home exterior design trends that we'll see in 2024. However, I decided on a whim to talk about home exterior design classic styles instead. I'll let you know why I last-minute changed the topic of this episode because it's two very valid reasons, but let's just say that I didn't feel right talking about trends in design. It didn't feel in alignment with what I teach my clients. With all that said, I've shifted the topic of this episode and it feels in alignment with what I teach so let's talk about some of my favorite timeless exterior styles.---Episode Show Notes: carolineondesign.com/home-exterior-design-classic-styles---Want help designing your timeless dream home? This special bonus episode on The Muscle Car Place is brought to you live once again from the streets of Pontiac, Michigan! Our journeyman reporter Scott Stap was roadside at Woodard Avenue where the streets were closed and setup for LEGAL street drag racing at the annual RoadKill Nights event, presented by Dodge. Every year this event brings action, excitement, and new automotive experiences to Michigan (and visitors from other Midwestern states) automotive enthusiasts! This episode is from "press day" where grudge match racers were introduced to reveal their drag race cars. Friday was a media only event and Scott was able to get his recorder and microphones in to talk to more Dodge insiders for a behind the scenes look at how the "donuts" of a muscle-car-loving OEM are actually. This was before Roadkill Nights opened to the public and there were a lot of people to talk to in a short period of time. He talked to old friends that have been on the show before as well as interviewing new guests that provided different angles and aspects of how Dodge designs and sells new muscle. The post TMCP #551: Live From RoadKill Nights 2023 – Special Feature with Dodge! Interior and Exterior Design, 2024 Charger, Direct Connection, and Marketing for the USA! first appeared on The Muscle Car Place.

For the last 30-years, Mark Trostle, the Head of Ram Truck and Mopar Exterior Design for Stellantis, hasn't really worked. Sure, he's gone to the office and made some decisions, and hell, he's even designed a few things (you know, like cars and trucks), but for the most part, he's a man who simply adores his job. As an automotive and industrial designer Mark sees things in ways that us mere mortals can't comprehend. For starters, he thinks in three-dimensions, visualizing how a product looks, and then creating them for use in the real world. Me? I have a hard time drawing stick figures. On this episode of the Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ podcast, Mark walks us through the process of combining passion and style with everyday usability and function. We also discuss a few of our favorite automotive designs, along with never forgetting how important the consumer is in the entire design process.

Instantly recognisable, unforgettable, and highly performant – these are the generic attributes of Mercedes-Benz' ever-popular SL. After a nearly 70-year-long history, the new AMG roadster is now set to square the circle of luxury, design, and performance once again. However, what is the intergenerational essence of an automotive icon that was once a pure racer, then turned into a unique roadster and now faces the era of electric mobility? To explore the many facets of this question, our host Yasmine Blair meets with Susie Wolff, former professional racing driver and Team Principal of Formula E's Venturi Racing, and Robert Lešnik, Director of Exterior Design at Mercedes-Benz. In the latest episode of Let's talk Mercedes – the Mercedes-Benz podcast – they discuss the essential traits of the reborn star's exterior design, look back at its most legendary iterations, share their personal two cents about the electrified future of the SL, and explore what it takes to prevail as a woman in the still male-dominated domain that is motorsports. It's episode 58 and things are about to get trippy. That's because we're talking popular movie fan theories. While some can easily be disproven, others might have you scratching your chin and screaming WTF when it's all said and done. Before we get our conspiracy theory on though let's discuss the word on the street. In MCU news, Star Lord might be joining Thor on his next adventure and the legacy of Black Panther will continue without CGI. Also, Creed himself Michael B. Jordan may also be directing the next installment in the franchise. Finally, another episode of the Mandalorian is out, which means another quick review by Ralfy, Kai, and G. This episode is all about the what-ifs so shut the blinds, put on your tin-foil hats, and join us on the stoop. Word on the street (1:30) Star Lord coming to Thor: Love & Thunder Chadwick Boseman won't be CGI'd into Black Panther 2 Michael B. ABOUT ANDY: Andy is a Digital Design (Alias) Modeller living in Munich. He studied Automotive Design at Swansea University and did his Postgraduate (M.A.) at Coventry University in the U.K. He's worked as a Product Designer as well and has shown a natural aptitude for Car Exteriors. Andy spoke very openly about his time at University and how he struggled with Alias as a program. It turns out that both he and I had the same difficulties, despite having a natural aptitude for 3D. The other strange thing is that we were both at Coventry at the same time. We probably were in the work-shop or the clay studio simultaneously, yet we never met during our time there. I worked alongside him as a Concept Modeller and I learnt an immense amount from him at a point when I thought I knew it all. He was the single-most 'in demand' modeller, particularly among the Exterior Design team. This is primarily because of his exceptional design sensibility and understanding of Exterior Proportions. Andy can also sculpt beautiful body-side's in a way that many struggle with and at an unprecedented pace. Erik Skoglund was our boss at the time. As mentioned in Episode 3, he runs an extremely tight ship and does not let people of the hook easily. Andy was able to get away with murder in his team, because of his brilliance. Last, but certainly not least, he is one of the funniest people I have ever worked with and the combination results in the perfect colleague. John McElroy is also joined in studio by the Autoextremist, Peter De Lorenzo, as well as Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press.
