Send us Fan MailWelcome to The BTA Podcast. In these podcasts we will endeavour to share our thoughts, concerns, optimism and build those all-important human connections with our Partners, Members and Guests.Episode Overview:In this episode of The BTA Pulse, hosts Clive Wratten and Andrew Clarke bring you the latest from the Business Travel Association — because summer or not, business travel cracks on.Top of the agenda is the continued frustration around EES at European borders, along with the news that ETIAS — the €20 pre-travel authorisation — has been delayed into Q1 next year. With leisure travellers about to swell the summer queues, Clive and Andrew explain why the BTA is keeping business travellers' voices front and centre, from media interviews to ongoing calls with the DfT.Attention then turns to the 2026 Conference in Alicante, with headline speakers now confirmed: political journalist Steve Richards returns with his unique take on British politics, adventurer Bonita Norris shares her remarkable story of resilience, and Lloyd Figgins delivers an update on the increasingly complex world of travel risk.Elsewhere, the pair discuss our Sustainability Conference, a refreshed approach to the BTA's social channels, accreditation momentum with 10 members now on board, a brand-new partner board about to be unveiled, and the accessibility group's second members-only paper. And with England facing Argentina in the World Cup semi-final, there's cautious optimism in the air. Fifty-fifty, apparently. You can subscribe to this podcast by searching 'BusinessTravel360' on your favorite podcast player or visiting BusinessTravel360.comThis podcast was created by The BTA and edited & distributed by BusinessTravel360.

Breakthrough Academy coach Jason Alcott reveals the hidden mindset trap keeping contractors stuck, and the one framework that changes everything. Most contractors are measuring their success the wrong way. They're locked in "the gap,” constantly chasing an ideal that keeps moving, instead of looking back at how far they've actually come. In this episode, Jason Alcott (BTA coach and former contractor who scaled Weatherguard Gutters to $6.5M with 25 staff) breaks down Dan Sullivan's Gap and the Gain framework and why fixing your mindset is the prerequisite to every system, every strategy, and every team decision you'll make this year.In this episode:Why 70% of the contractors Jason works with are having a rough year— and what's really behind itThe "Gap vs. Gain" framework that stops the overwhelm spiralHow your mindset as an owner trickles down and silently kills team moraleWhy tactics fail when mindset isn't addressed firstHow to set 90-day goals your team actually cares about (leading vs. lagging indicators)Gratitude as a stress management tool — and why it's more powerful than you thinkAbout Jason Alcott: Jason is a Breakthrough Academy coach and former BTA member who scaled a gutter contracting business to $6.5M before joining the coaching side. Happy National Thesaurus Day!Ladies and gentlemen we are back for NFL Divisional Round Sunday! What an absolutely, infuriating, weekend of NFL playoff football. It is a somber mood for the boys… as Saturday started with JVi's Bills collapse and wild Broncos news, followed by AK's 49ers getting BTA from the Seahawks. Sunday, the Patriots benefitted from CJ Stroud going full Peterman. Also… we have one spot left for championship weekend with the Bears and Rams LIVE. Buckle up!Finally after what seems like 3 months off, we have the CFB Playoff National Championship on Monday night! We will put a bow on the pregame festivities with game picks for this match-up between Indiana and Miami. The football segments continue! We have the shambles-o-meter, hang the banners, and of course our DraftKings DFS/Bets recap! Finally, we all root for different teams (49ers - AK, Bills - JVi, Cowboys - ButchP/Tex, & DYLON - Vikings) so we will have to go to the podium to answer questions and/or brag insufferably. Checked in on DC pro soccer teams. DC Defenders went BTA on the Michigan Panthers. The Desmond Bane trade is wild but somehow a lesson in faith. I concluded by discussing a hypothetical 2024 Eagles vs 2013 Seahawks matchup.
