Arametha is back with John and (for maybe the first time ever??) we're actually leading off with Tokyo Joshi! Wow! It's a long, detailed review of TJPW's biggest show of the year, Grand Princess from Ryogoku Kokugikan, featuring a legitimate match of the year contender, three big title changes, Super Sentai fights, idol singers with swords and a whole lot more! Then it's over to NJPW for a full and detailed preview of this weekend's Sakura Genesis show, with lots of baseless speculation on where the return of Will Ospreay might be going from here. Afterward we go right back to joshi with a full review of the 3/22 Sareee-ism X show from Yokohama Budokan, breaking down a ton of interesting names from all over the joshi world. Finally, they wrap things up with STARDOM's New Blood 30 show from Shin Kiba 1st Ring, a great show that may have gone under the radar for you but definitely shouldn't have!Follow Wrestling Omakase on Twitter: http://twitter.com/wrestleomakaseFollow John on BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/justoneenby.bsky.socialAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Returning from a hiatus, The Eastern Lariat jumps right back into the mix of japanese pro wrestling starting with TJPW's Texas Tour and Grand Princess, where Yuki Arai stood tall above all. Then they shift to Sendai Girls with Chihiro Hashimoto continuing to be the measuring stick of joshi wrestling. Since the world of professional wrestling is ever evolving, STRIGGA & Dylan also discuss the departures of Chi Chi & ZONES from Evolution and Dragon Dia aka. DIA from DRAGONGATE. This leads right away to NJPW and the preview of Sakura Genesis plus the roster for the Best of the Super Junior 33 (so far). The final topic of the show is another preview with All Japan's Champion Carnival coming up in mid April.
It's another John & John episode! John Bivins is back as the two of them break down an outstanding end to the New Japan Cup, talking the final two quarterfinal matches from night 10, both semifinals from night 11, and then the entire final night including of course the tournament final itself. Lots of talk about NJPW's young generation really stepping up, Shota Umino maybe forcing people to take some Ls (including at least one John!) and more, plus a look ahead to what the rest of the year might look like. Then it's over to DDT to talk an equally outstanding Judgement show from Korakuen Hall, a very deep card that showed off their huge bounty of young talent. We also discuss the very sad news of Kazusada Higuchi's sudden retirement.Afterward we break down AJPW's Hachioji show from 3/20, a weird card featuring a Triple Crown title match and not a whole lot else. Finally, we wrap things up with some of the highlights from all four TJPW shows down in Texas, and then a full preview of next weekend's big Grand Princess show!John Bivins' Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/punkrock.darkroast/Follow Wrestling Omakase on Twitter: http://twitter.com/wrestleomakaseFollow John on BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/justoneenby.bsky.socialOur Sponsors:* Support our sponsor BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Send us a textHello, passionate cruisers! This is Paul. I am delighted to welcome back this week on The Joy of Cruising Podcast, Neil Gregory, a seven-year former videographer on several ships for Princess Cruises. During those years, Neil kept, and continues to update a diary of his time working onboard ships. His story as reflected in his diary is real, raucous and laugh-out-loud funny! “Cruise Ship Diaries” was featured in my latest book, The Joy of Cruising Again amzn.to/3lAfyON.I hosted Neil on The Joy of Cruising Podcast last year, Episode 20-Cruise Ship Diaries. That hilarious episode pertained to Neil's first contract, onboard Coral Princess. After Coral Princess, Neil went on to a world cruise on Sun Princess and then contracts on Sapphire Princess, Diamond Princess, Crown Princess, Grand Princess, Emerald Princess, Dawn Princess, Royal Princess, and Ocean Princess over the ensuing seven years. Neil says that those years working for Princess Cruises were some of the best experiences of his life. He has seen and experienced destinations and activities that I'm sure that many of us have on our bucket list: scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef; climbing the Great Wall of China, visiting Angkor Wat in Cambodia and getting to walk across the Panama Canal. Sure, there were lows—I'll get Neil to say a little about those—but it wasn't enough to stop Neil from renewing his contract time after time. Episode overviewIn episode 121, we shake things up and start off the show with a cruise review from long time listener Powlo, Thanks to Garry in Sydney, for the images of Grand Princess arriving into Sydney and his topical questions around the exchanging of plaques, plus of course the latest cruise news!Image credit: Coral Princess in Sydney harbour. Garry S, Sydney. Listener QuestionGarry asks: I'm thinking this is her first visit to our part of the world which gets me thinking about the commemorative plaques that I've seen on a number of ships(mainly the Princess fleet) which celebrate a ships inaugural visit to a port, some of the plaques are very stylish and yet some rather plain. I'm wondering if Chris could enlighten me on the history of these plaques? Are they a common occurrence to all ships or just specific to cruise ships? Also congratulations to Chris on the success of his YouTube channelSupport the showSupport the Show:Listen, Like, Subscribe & Review on your favourite podcast directory.Share the podcast with someone you think will enjoy the showBuy Me A Coffee – This podcast is only possible thanks to our supporters, simply buying a coffee keeps us on air.
