Le industrie militari volano in Borsa. Stesso trend nelle altre borse europee: Bae Systems +13,2%, Rheinmetall +11,35%, Thales +13,33%, Rolls Royce +5,65%, Airbus +2,72%, Safran +2,04%. A ogni tensione internazionale, i listini premiano chi produce armi, trasformando i conflitti in opportunità finanziarie.

Nuovo allarme orsi in Trentino.

The world's largest cruise company – Carnival Corp. -- released its third-quarter earnings results, and the company posted record revenues in the quarter. It also notched its return to profitability for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. We thought it would be a good opportunity to dig into some of the points raised during Carnival's earnings call and talk about the outlook for cruise. In this episode, host Rebecca Tobin; Gene Sloan, the cruise lead for the Points Guy; and Travel Weekly cruise editor Andrea Zelinski talk about Carnival's bookings, onboard spending, inflation, recession, fuel prices and the crop of new ships coming out in the next year. This episode was recorded Oct. 5 while Tobin and Sloan were both at Fincantieri's Marghera, Italy, shipyard to take the first look at Cunard Line's Queen Anne, part of that wave of new ships. In this exciting episode of Vanguard Radio, J. Richard Jones speaks with Derek Buxton, VP Business Development & Ottawa about the Vigilance Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel, and the importance of the proposed Team Canada approach. Derek Buxton has 32 years of combined service with the Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Coast Guard and is currently spearheading the development of new opportunities for VARD in the global government shipbuilding sector. After completing his engineering degree at the Royal Military College of Canada, Derek started his career in the military serving in many sea-going and shore-based roles. He spent four years on exchange duties in Australia with the COLLINS Class submarine program, and subsequently worked on the acquisition and in-service support of Canada's VICTORIA Class submarines upon his return to Canada. He then finished his military career in 2007 as the design authority for submarine platform systems. Derek spent eleven years with the Canadian Coast Guard in key leadership roles supporting its renewal program, and most recently was responsible for the requirements definition and concept development for the Coast Guard's future fleet. Vard Marine Inc. is a consulting naval architecture and marine engineering company established in 1983 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of VARD Group AS in Norway, a Fincantieri company. These partnerships provide for access to design and construction databases from both VARD Group and Fincantieri that can be utilized in projects worldwide. In this episode: The Vigilance Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel design and the proposed approach What the Team Vigilance partners bring to the table The importance of the proposed Team Canada approach Kingston-class replacement vs a life extension program Designing and tailoring for a specific customer The importance of designing in Canada And more!

Incredibly, female CEOs are still rare, so listen to this inspiring chat between Andrea and the illustrious CEO Cristina Scocchia. Hear how Cristina went from humble beginnings to leading major international companies through pivotal turnarounds including Proctor & Gamble, L'Oréal, Kiko Milano and now illycaffè. Cristina shares her unique leadership style, thoughts on diversity, and insights into achieving work-life balance as a mother and top executive. You'll be motivated by Cristina's passion for business ethics and commitment to building sustainable, purpose-driven brands. KEY TAKEAWAYS Leadership means taking responsibility and caring for your people first. True leaders make tough decisions rationally, even under pressure, and communicate empathetically. To grow a brand, win consumers' minds with functional benefits and their hearts with emotional benefits. Tell an authentic brand story that resonates. Seeking continuous improvement is positive. Complacency and status quo thinking limit growth. Challenge yourself and your team to get better daily. Meritocracy is key. Judge people based on talent and potential, not gender or background. Give everyone equal opportunities to prove their abilities. BEST MOMENTS"Leadership doesn't mean power. Leadership means responsibility. You need to care about your people first, and then you need to care about everything else after.""If you want to grow, you need to win consumers' minds and hearts. You need to talk to their minds with functional benefits and their hearts with emotional benefits.""I always see the glass half empty. I want to improve, but I don't enjoy what I achieve. If I could advise my 20-year-old self, I'd say ‘Appreciate and celebrate every success'"."Meritocracy is key. We need to evaluate people and give opportunities based on skills and talents, regardless of gender, background, or other factors." VALUABLE RESOURCES Like the show? Ne parliamo con Alessandro Plateroti, direttore Notizie.it.

I know it is the only mainstream cruise line that has an Untied States flag ship. I have read two different stories how it got to be flag in the United States 1. That part of the ship was built in the United States and than the rest of it was took to Germany to be finished. 2. That the governor of Hawaii want tourism so he got the ship flag in the United States. So, which is true or are they both true? When was it built 2000 or 1999?Cruise NewsFred.

They used cabin lights along the length of the ship to spell out the message: ‘WE WILL BE BACK'.Today's maritime pageantry also served to highlight the rapid recovery of cruising in Australia.Eighteen ships from Carnival Australia's eight brands are set for a peak summer cruise season in 2022-23 making 667 turnarounds and port calls to 33 destinations across the country. The number of ship turnarounds and calls eclipses the 625 that were announced prior to the 2019-20 season, which was curtailed due to the onset of the covid pandemic.Carnival Australia's three cruise brands that base ships year round in Australia — P&O Cruises Australia, Princess Cruises and Carnival Cruise Line — are well advanced in their restoration of local operations. In addition, Cunard will base Queen Elizabeth in Australia for its longest ever local season of cruises, while two Holland America Line ships and a Seabourn ship will also spend significant periods in Australian waters.Destinations in all Australian states will benefit from cruise calls and turnarounds including:NSW — Sydney, Eden and Newcastle.QLD — Brisbane, Moreton Island, Airlie Beach and Cairns.VIC — Melbourne and Phillip IslandSA — Adelaide, Kangaroo Island and Port Lincoln.WA — Fremantle, Albany, Broome and the Kimberley region.TAS — Hobart, Burnie and Port Arthur.Godmother named for Carnival CelebrationCarnival Cruise Line today announced that actress Cassidy Gifford will serve as godmother to its newest ship, Carnival Celebration, at the ship's naming ceremony taking place November 20, 2022, in Miami.Actress Cassidy Gifford will serve as godmother to its newest ship, Carnival Celebration. The 20-day test was conducted in partnership with GoodFuels, a leading producer and supplier of sustainable biofuels for the transportation industry, and Wärtsilä, a global leader in power and propulsion technologies and lifecycle solutions for the marine market. The assessment was completed September 7. In the first five days of the test the ship used a mix of 30% biofuel and 70% marine gas oil (MGO) in one of its main auxiliary engines. For the final 15 days of testing, the ship used 100% biofuel. According to GoodFuels, there was a 78% decrease in lifecycle CO2 emissions during the final 15 days of trial compared to marine gas oil emissions.Dutch-flagged Volendam was selected for the test since it was located at the Port of Rotterdam, one of the global ports where GoodFuels operates the infrastructure necessary to provide biofuel waterside fueling services. There is no significant difference for the ship's team members in handling regular fuel oil versus biofuel. The use of a “drop-in” biofuel such as the one tested on Volendam requires no shipboard refitting or special equipment. What Are Biofuels? The advanced biofuel is derived from feedstocks that are certified as 100% waste or residue, with no land-use issues and no competition with food production or deforestation.Holland America Line's 2024 Grand Australia and New Zealand Voyage Returns After a DecadeHolland America Line is continuing to bolster its longer voyages departing from a North America homeport, and the 2024 Grand Australia and New Zealand Voyage is the newest addition. All three and their stalwart crews were involved in the operation to save bulk carrier Portland Bay after it lost power in stormy weather last month.Pacific Encounter's time in Sydney will also be of economic benefit to the city with local marine engineering and technical services coming on board and more than half a million kilograms of locally sourced produce being loaded to begin the ship's cruising program.Special thanks to Listener Garry in Sydney who sent in some incredible images of Encounter alongside in Circular Quay.Viking celebrates 25 years of award-winning explorationOn 5 Aug 23, Viking is celebrated the company's 25th anniversary.
