Tulku Orgyen Rinpoche is a Vajra Master within the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, and Jaymee's "root guru". Born in the Hidden Land of Pemaköd, a sacred place well known to Himalayan Buddhists, Tulku Rinpoche was recognized as a reincarnate shortly after his birth by one of the most notable Tibetan Buddhist masters of the 20th century, His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, and began formal training as a toddler to fulfill the role of his incarnation. Tulku Rinpoche later founded the Odiyana Institute in Santa Barbara, a center where people can come to learn more about Tibetan Buddhist teachings. Jaymee wanted to use this opportunity to ask questions he had never heard asked of enlightened masters, such as "Have you ever been in love?", "what's the most miraculous thing you've ever seen?" and "what're your thoughts on depression, anxiety and suicide?" This conversation is one of Tulku's first recordings and his first ever podcast, and Jaymee has always felt Tulku's speech carry's blessings that transmit beyond the words spoken, so listen closely to this timeless advice on how to attain inner freedom, passed along in an unbroken chain from the lips of the teacher to the ears of the student for over 2600 years. This conversation is heartwarming, hilarious, and the information is profound. It is an incredibly rare and auspicious opportunity to meet an enlightened Vajra master within a lifetime, let alone get to records a long-form conversation with one. Podcasts like this episode simply do not exist in abundance, so enjoy your karma and take everything you hear to heart. I teach my students that parables in the Bible are like hidden land mines. You don’t know what they are about until the end, and it is usually about you. When you discover the true meaning of a parable, it can be life altering. In 2 Samuel 11, King David was used to being in charge. As ruler, he did not answer to anyone...except the Lord. In today’s reading, God sent the prophet Nathan to rebuke David by using a hidden land mine (2 Sam. 12:11). Nathan’s parable about the young lamb would have appealed to David’s pastoral upbringing as well as his authoritarian responsibilities (vv. 1–4). His reaction for “the rich man” to pay back that which had been lost several times over was in accordance with the law (Ex. 22:1). However, Nathan then pulls the curtain up on his parable and announces to David, “You are the man!” (2 Sam. 12:7). Nathan reminded David of the Lord’s blessings and asked a probing question, “Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes?” (v. 9). The Moody Bible Commentary says, “To despise the Lord suggests holding His Word in contempt and disrespect.” We often forget that when we sin we demonstrate hatred toward God. David finally and rightly confessed his sin (v. 13). Under the Old Testament Law, David’s sin against Uriah warranted the death penalty. Perhaps that’s what he thought he deserved. But Nathan alerted David of an alternate route: “The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die” (v. 13). Owning up to our sin is hard. It is much easier to blame others or, like David, hide it. Sometimes we convince ourselves that our actions are justifiable, but we are always accountable to the Lord. >> Ask yourself the same question Nathan asked David in verse nine. Don’t water down what you’ve done or make excuses. Instead, turn to God and ask for forgiveness. He alone can take away our sin! (v. 13).
Previously, Pearl and Luca made their way into the ruins of Old Crimini with Sully and Ringo. After encountering a couple of unfriendly inhabitants in the seeming ghost town, they realized there was some sort of activity happening in one of the few standing buildings among the city's ruins. Now that they've stumbled into some sort of Pokémon-led fighting arena, our heroes are in a tight spot! Will Pearl and Luca make it away from the mob of angry Pokémon unscathed? It's "Havoc in the Hidden Land" when Black Bolt and his family return to the moon to take back Attilan from the traitorous Maximus. It's been a tough road to get back, and they've lost Gorgon in the process. However, Triton has returned from secretly hiding and carrying out an intricate plan that Black Bolt seems to have had the whole time! Now they can all stop Maximus and hopefully keep peace amongst their people. Luckily, they come with a little peace offering in the form of Dr. Declan, who is certain that he can put Max through terrigenesis again to give him the Inhuman powers he's desired for so long. When Max betrays him, they are forced to take refuge in a hidden bunker. Karnak begins to see some flaws in Max's plan, but he's more focused on the possibility of bringing Gorgon back from the dead. Can the family work together and stop the madness once and for all? Jay and Josh declare parley on this week's penultimate episode of Terrigen Dreams: An Inhumans Podcast!
AFTERBUZZ TV — Inhumans edition, is a weekly "after show" for fans of ABC' Inhumans. In this episode hosts Zach Silverman and Ashley Brinkman discuss episode 7. ABOUT INHUMANS: Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding head of the Inhuman royal family and King of Attilan, possesses a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After a military coup splinters the family, the group -- which includes Black Bolt's wife, Medusa; his brother and rival, Maximus; his cousins Karnak, Gorgon and Triton; and Medusa's sister, Crystal -- barely manages to escape to Hawaii, where surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.
Alas, poor Gorgon, we knew ye well. Or did we? A trio of characters come back, and Pete and Matt investigate episode 107, "Havoc in the Hidden Land."MP3iTunes
Adam and Seren try to decipher this one, it’s nowhere near as concise or good as it usually is when Doc does it, but we’re releasing it anyway! Give Me A Minute Whilst I Read This F---ing Book Hello, and welcome to episode 204 of The Fantasticast. Each week, Steve Lacey and Andy Leyland guide you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. It's Thought Bubble weekend, and Steve and Andy are up in Leeds. We're sharing Table 11, New Dock Hall with show artist Michael Georgiou, and we would love to see you there. We're debuting our new logo and artwork (launching on the show next weekend), and will be recording at our table throughout the weekend. Come and say hi! For everyone not at Leeds, Steve and Andy are in your ears, discussing Fantastic Four #159, in which the Fifth Dimension invades, Sue displays new powers, Black Bolt is fitted with a superfluous gag, Johnny gets a snog, and Steve struggles to remember even the basics of the plot five minutes after they've been explained to him.
