Beginner's mind is a Zen Buddhist principle of seeing everything as new, as it is, without preconception or expectation. It can be considered the simplest state but also the most advanced. Mind identifies, creates the illusion of separation, and focuses on survival of the individual body and psychological structure. But we can open to “big mind,” our true nature which has limited itself, as occurs in deep sleep and sometimes in meditation. We all experience freedom from the prison of ordinary mind at times in life—as the sun peeks through the clouds—because it is our nature. Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind is a book by Suzuki Roshi, who referred to beginner's mind as the “goal” of practice. Quotes from the book and from the American teacher Lee Lozowick are discussed. A matrix of practice is needed to hold beginner's mind, which is not something we can bring about. We can see that everything is transient, but we often don't see that we're always changing as well and that there is no solid self. Calmness arises as we give images in our mind a large spacious meadow, allowing them to come and go, which requires special effort. If we do not indulge our tendencies, ego will show us itself at deeper levels. Practice without gaining idea does not mean to have no purpose. Just to do something can be our purpose. If we have spiritual pride in our understanding, we will lose the characteristic of beginner's mind, which cuts though pride in the knowledge that everything comes from big mind. Vajra pride is unshakable self-esteem rooted in recognition of our true nature, which everyone has. True creativity comes from nothing. The greatest moments of creativity come when we forget what we know. Life continues to put us in new situations where we are beginners again. VJ Fedorschak is the organizer of the Western Baul Podcast Series and the author of The Shadow on the Path and Father and Son.

In questo momento, il Bodhisattva supera definitivamente ogni elaborazione mentale e, libero anche dalle oscurazioni cognitive, attualizza lo stato di Buddha, dimorando nella vacuità. Tommy grew up in North Bergen New Jersey and had his first encounter with a UFO when he was six years old, stopping his brother from being abducted. He came close to his first alien at the age of twelve with his friend in his own house. During those six years, he spent working with a deity (Green Tara ) which he found out who it was actually 12 years later. He learned Hypnosis at 14 and was fortunate to work with World-renowned mentalist the Amazing Kreskin. Then later an army hypnotist named Mel Protes, at the early age of sixteen. He was doing Group hypnosis as well, which later becomes what he called Past life Regressions, in the mid 70's and later moved into psychic implant removals. In the late 60's he was working with a number one medium out of the New York psychic center, Pat Jordan, in which they did ghostbusting in and around New York and New Jersey. They created a covenant at the time. During that time he was learning much about psychic abilities. He became empathetic at the age of twenty-five, for one year, now spending much of his life in teaching about Soul Travel and out-of-body-experiences. At that time he began doing energy work under the Native Nation studying with a medicine woman for 26 years. From 19 to 40 he was doing stage magic and Native dancing. Since he was 25 doing fire-dancing around the US. He even danced on a few Islands now in Hawaii. During that whole time, he was involved in seeing many UFOs and working with Abductees.Tommy lectured for the Thunder-birds, Steven Greer's group, the Edgar Casey group, Global Science Conferences around the US four about four years, while at the same time doing several Television shows and talking on many different radio showsThe 26 years he spent studying with a medicine woman -- Oh Shinnah Fast Wolf -- and a Tibetan Master in the Vajra. He learned most of his past lives. Spent many years with an associate (Sargel18) doing UFO work at what is called the famous Wanique Vortex, New Jersey where they conducted investigations for years. They dealt with beings and creatures from different dimensions. Taking pictures of UFOs on a weekly basis in and around Wanaque. They were the first to go public filming orbs in front of people in New York City at the Newlife Expo in 1998. Later incorporated that into the talks. Taking people out at night shooting pictures of orbs. Later in his life, He finished three books. How to See God, When Truth is called Crazy, Truth Beyond the Illusion. Malcolm and Jordan are back after more than 6 months for an update on the Plasmoids, the Thunderstorm Generator Tech and Malcolm making a stand against WW3 with the help of GPT. This is an interesting chat you will not hear anywhere else as I read out Malcolm's conversations with AI and Malcolm and Jordan comment on them. Malcolm gets into how the plasmoids that he has infused himself with communicate with the A.I. using the Ether that is everywhere. The plasmoids are the most powerful in the Universe and we chat about Robert Temple's book "A new, explosive study of plasma and its revolutionary implications for how we understand the universe and our place in it", and how Cold Fusion has been mentioned twice on JRE recently. The times are changing, people are aware of the Plasmoids, plasmoid power, the clean technology that can be developed, and they are fed up with the push towards globalism. We also get into, the orbs and UFO's, stopping WW3, Trump getting into power, Elon and his rockets, black diamond tubules, symbiotic organisms, force multiplication, global hope, ancient wisdom, the calculations for which planets have life, Alpha Ladder, direct matter to energy drives, Time - Ether - Matter, the Plasma Unification Model, his notes and the book about him - "The Shaman". Welcome to the Southasia Review of Books Podcast from Himal Southasian, where we speak to celebrated authors and emerging literary voices from across Southasia. In this episode, Shwetha Srikanthan, assistant editor at Himal Southasian, speaks to the Colombo-based author Vajra Chandrasekera about his debut novel 'The Saint of Bright Doors' (July 2023) and his second and most recent novel, 'Rakesfall' (June 2024). In The Saint of Bright Doors, Vajra paints a vivid picture of a city on the brink – tracing Fetter's path from child assassin, raised to kill his saintly father to misguided adult with the ability to see devils, anti-gods and magical traces of their world – like the mysterious bright doors. In blending the mundane and fantastical with violence of colonialism, religious control, and the struggles against these systems – the book captures the complex of the power structures that shape us. But one lifetime is not enough to tell some stories. Rakesfall is a complex portrait of death and reincarnations. This cross-genre science fiction epic, following two souls as they reincarnate and echo across alternative realities, the mythic past to modern Sri Lanka, its long drawn civil war, to a far-future Earth abandoned by humanity. We see how those in power consolidate their hold on society, even to the point of strangling it again and again. It's about the rise and fall of empires. How every attempt to make imperial power last forever fails and is always vulnerable to rebellion. At its core, The Saint of Bright Doors and Rakesfall explore the connectedness of struggles for liberation and how they reoccur in different contexts of oppression. The Saint of Bright Doors has won the Locus, Nebula, and Crawford awards and is a finalist for the 2024 Hugo Award for Best Novel. Vajra's nonfiction, poetry and over 50 short stories have appeared in magazines and anthologies including Analog, Black Static, Clarkesworld, The Los Angeles Times, among others. He has worked as an editor for Strange Horizons and Afterlives: The Year's Best Death Stories, and as a judge for the Dream Foundry Writing Contest and the Salam Award. Citações e trechos do livro “Gates to Buddhist Practice”, de Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche. Interview Starts at 23:15, Malcolm pops in at 42:44 This is a special pre Cosmic Summit episode with Malcolm Bendall and Jordan Collin. Malcolm has been around the world testing and implementing his Waste Energy Recovery Retrofit System / Thunderstorm Generator based on Plasmoid Technology, Sacred Geometry and Ancient Wisdom. It appears through the theory and initial testing that this will harvest some waste energy and transmute exhaust particles to Oxygen on combustion engines. Jordan Collin has become an unofficial spokesman for this new technology and Malcolm's Plasma Unification Model, due to his massive interest in ancient wisdom and modern alchemy. I, and they both will be at the Cosmic Summit - Greensborough NC, June 15-17 looking at demonstrations of Malcolm's technology. Will Joe Rogan try and have Malcolm and Randall Carlson on again (long story but this old recording did not get released) especially since the recent Terrance Howard episode that resonates so much with Malcolm and Jordan's work? There are many similarities to their work, including being based partly of Walter Russel's work. Malcolm admits he's standing on the shoulders of Giants and gives credit where credit is due. This is a long uninterrupted chat, that turns out like a true Hero's Journey. We chat about water bubble cavitation, Music of the Spheres (Jordan's upcoming presentation at the Cosmic Summit), Vedic astrology, Sacred Geometry, Ratio's, Terrance and Malcolm's 'Table of Elements', the Thunderstorm Generator, Modern Alchemy, directed malice, cold fusion - the demonization and renaming, Martin Fleischman, sabotage and assassination attempts, and the validation of the technology. How did Malcolm figure out the position of Enoch's house, and get it confirmed? Did the Knights Templars also know this? Was this technology used for massive granite works and hewing stone and quarrying? Why and how did he infuse himself with Plasmoids? How is the working of the Heart an example of all this? And the Blood? We talk about Zero Point, the eye of the hurricane, ball lightning, lifting blocks with sound, Cathay, the scale of Beauty, coming back to the world of Hydrogen, stepping away for 7 years of fasting and prayer to finish the Unification Model, the Shamir, the EVO, King Solomon's Temple, the Ark of the Covenant, the King's chamber, the Shaolin Priest, his life's work and meaning, Bob Greenyer's paper on cavitating bubbles, Tesla and Russel, 108 in terms of local cosmic synchrony, metric vs imperial, and ether + time = matter. He has patented the direct matter to energy drive turbine so he has just started talking about that now. We also into sacred geometry, cosmic scales, time in the equation and how everything comes back to these sacred numbers. The moon, the sun, the pyramids, ancient items and artifacts.... Malcolm unloads about some of his challenges and what we are facing against the deep state, The Shaman, his roots to King of Scotland, the Last of the Mohican's (Aborigines from Tasmania) the various prophecies he is fulfilling, The Indian Navy, The Vajra returning to India after Millenia, Universal knowledge and sacrificing everything for the truth. This episode is a wide-ranging discussion with two important guests: the brilliant Vajra Chandrasekera, whose amazing first novel The Saint of Bright Doors is currently nominated for both Hugo and Nebula Awards, and whose even more adventurous Rakesfall will be published in June, and our old friend, the excellent critic, reviewer and fellow podcaster (The Writer and the Critic) Ian Mond. We touch upon some of the sources of Vajra's fiction, the notion of science fantasy, and how his novels incorporate a wide variety of styles and themes, from almost documentary realism about the brutality of colonialism—especially in his native Sri Lanka—to mythic tales and far-future SF. It's a pretty lively chat! Note: We experienced some technical difficulties towards the end of the recording so it does end somewhat abruptly. We do hope you enjoy the recording and we'll come back to some of the topics soon in another podcast.

During that whole time, he was involved in seeing many UFOs and working with Abductees. Tommy lectured for the Thunder-birds, Steven Greer's group, the Edgar Casey group, Global Science Conferences around the US four about four years, while at the same time doing several Television shows and talking on many different radio showsThe 26 years he spent studying with a medicine woman -- Oh Shinnah Fast Wolf -- and a Tibetan Master in the Vajra. His fourth most recent book The True Teaching of Jesus from God-realization. Now listen to all our XZBN shows, with our compliments go to: https://www.spreaker.com/user/xzoneradiotv
Vajra is a progressive alternative rock band known for their unique and eclectic sound. Drawing influences from various genres such as rock, metal, alternative, and Eastern music, they create a distinctive blend that sets them apart. Vajra's music is characterized by a rich tapestry of atmospheric and heavy instrumentation, layered with haunting melodies and powerful vocals. They often incorporate intricate guitar work, driving rhythms, and a strong emphasis on atmospheric textures. The band's music has a dark and introspective quality, often exploring themes of spirituality, consciousness, and personal growth.Their sound is dynamic, ranging from ethereal and hypnotic passages to intense and explosive moments. The use of unconventional instruments, such as the Tibetan singing bowls and the Indian tabla, adds a distinctive Eastern flair to their music. Lead vocalist Annamaria Pinna's vocals are a defining element of Vajra's sound, as her voice seamlessly transitions between angelic and haunting tones, delivering emotionally charged lyrics.Overall, Vajra offers a unique sonic experience, blending various genres and influences into a captivating and atmospheric sound. To truly appreciate their music, I would recommend listening to their songs, as words can only provide a glimpse into their artistic expression.

Welcome to Episode 1649; part of our Italian wine interview series set in Bologna! Today's interview is between Stevie Kim and Isidoro Vajra of GD Vajra Stevie Kim and her team traveled to the Bologna Slow Wine Fair in March 2023. There they conducted dozens of interviews with some of Italy's most inspiring producers. Join the fun every Thursday afternoon! Tune-in each Thursday as we bring you the great interviews that unfolded over the course of 3 days. More about today's winery: “We produce Barolo but not only, because we love all the wines of our land. We believe in beauty, in work done well, in attention to detail, in creativity that respects tradition. We are a family and artisan company. We are accompanied by a young team, enthusiastic and passionate as we are. We directly follow the work of our vineyards, because it is the basis of uncompromising quality, but above all because we like it so much. Our wines are born elegant, complex, delicate. They have the identity and personality that we would like to find in every glass on our table." These are the words with which the Vajra company presents itself: a true undisputed point of reference in the Langhe lands, that is, a winery that has always been linked to the traditions and territory it belongs to, capable over time of establishing itself with products which have reached absolute qualitative levels. Vajra is one of the historical names of the Piedmontese Langhe, a company that has extended over a vineyard area covering a total of fifty hectares since 1972. Located in the municipality of Barolo, the winery produces strongly territorial wines, starting from all the most typical vineyard varieties of the area. A family-run company, where two generations work side by side, creating a combination of dynamism and loyalty towards the most ancient local traditions, to which is added particular attention to the most modern technical and scientific innovations that progress is capable of at the moment to offer: mass selections, treatments done with the utmost respect for the territory and nature using synthetic products only where strictly necessary. During the harvest phase, and also subsequently, rigorous selections of the grapes are carried out, to achieve the maximum result in each bottle in terms of fidelity to the vine and the Langhe terroir. Simply excellent wines, those I labeled "Vajra", capable of expressing the best enological essence of the Piedmontese lands like few others. In this episode, Jason gives a dramatic reading of the Diamond Sutra. The Diamond Sutra, a Mahāyāna Buddhist text, is notable for its influence on East Asian Buddhism, especially within the Chan or Zen tradition. Translated across a wide geographic range, it's revered for its teachings on "perfection of wisdom." Historically significant, it's recognized as one of the earliest dated printed books, with its discovery tracing back to 868 AD; it was also the first book ever released with complete open rights, allowing it to be shared, distributed or copied by anyone. The text's cultural impact is mirrored in a rich tradition of commentary and veneration within East Asian Buddhist cultures, embodying a legacy of religious thought and practice that continues to resonate across the globe. The sutra's title metaphorically relates to the Vajra, a powerful weapon, symbolizing wisdom that cuts through illusions to attain ultimate reality. The text's essence, promoting a deeper understanding of reality through wisdom, along with its historical value as an early example of printed literature, highlights its enduring relevance and esteemed position within the Buddhist tradition and world religion. The Diamond Sutra had fostered a rich cultural milieu of artwork, veneration, and over 80 commentaries by the end of China's Tang dynasty, indicating a vibrant intellectual engagement with the text. Its teachings continue to inspire Buddhist practitioners and scholars, affirming its timeless value in exploring profound religious and philosophical themes. The recording at the opening of the show is of monks chanting at the Buddhist stupa Swayambhunath in Kathmandu, Nepal. Show Notes Diamond Sutra (full text free online) Magick.Me

Why are vajra, mala and bell called “practice supports” and what do they actually represent? Why is a Vajrayana Buddhist practitioner expected to always carry a vajra, mala and bell, at least symbolically? How can they be used in our daily, mundane lives to symbolically strengthen this bond? What are the guidelines for the use of a vajra, mala and bell?In this presentation, we try to answer these questions, and more, in our special coverage of the indispensable vajra, mala and bell. All three, together, represent, the most important veneration objects of Refuge in Buddhism: Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. Together represent the Sacred Body, Speech and Mind of the Enlightened Buddha. Importantly, they also represent Method, Dharma, and Wisdom. The vajra and bell are virtually synonymous with advanced Vajra yana tantric practice — together with the ubiquitous mala. Advanced practitioners also always have a one-handed Dhamaru drum representing blissful activity and wisdom.A Tibetan practitioner is rarely separated from these powerful meditational and ritual symbols, just as the vajra, mala and bell should never be separated from each other. In Tibetan, the sanskrit term Vajra translates as Dorje. The Bell, in Sanskrit is called a Ghanta. Even non-Buddhists might recognize the symbolism of vajra and bell immediately, among the most widely recognized symbols used in Buddhism.Literally, each time we meditate with the vajra, mala and bell, we are engaging with a symbolic compendium of teachings of the Buddha: the Body, Speech and Mind of Buddha. We think of them in that order: Body, Speech and Mind of Buddha, or Compassion, Dharma and Wisdom, or Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.Support the show

It's always inspiring to hear about the journeys of leaders from different backgrounds. In this episode, we have guest Fr. Pierluigi, a priest who spent the first 18 years of his priesthood forming seminarians before being assigned as a parish priest. In this candid conversation, Fr. Pierluigi shares his experience of transitioning from being a formator to a parish leader. He discusses the challenges he faced and how he went about learning the ropes of leading a parish. Fr. Pierluigi also talks about the lessons he would take back with him if he were to form seminarians again. As someone who hit plateaus in his leadership journey, Fr. Pierluigi shares his insights on how to find breakthroughs and keep growing as a leader. His humility and earnest desire to make a difference are truly contagious. If you're a leader looking to grow and learn, then this episode is for you!
An ontological shift into absolute idealism is necessary to regain our freedom and power, since the universe is mind, not matter. Sri Ramana refutes Einstein and reminds us that the ancient yogis understood the subtleties of ether, and that plasma physics is under the control of our cosmic intellect.

In this episode I host a dialogue between doctor of Tibetan Medicine and Buddhist spiritual teacher Dr Nida Chenagtsang and Dr Ian A. Baker, author, scholar, and initiate of Buddhist, Taoist, and Hindu Tantric lineages. Drs Nida and Ian explore the theme of Vajrayana in the 21st century, including issues such as tradition and innovation, mass empowerments vs 1-1 discipleship, and what is essential for successful practice. Drs Nida and Ian discuss common mistakes in practicing the 6 Yogas of Naropa, religious syncretism, and dark triad traits of narcissism, psychopathy, and machiavellianism in spiritual teachers. Drs Nida and Ian also discuss the role of religious institutions in the history of Vajrayana and explore the tensions between the critical historical approach of academia with traditional views often held by religious teachers and practicing Buddhists. … Video version: https://www.guruviking.com/podcast/ep184-the-vajra-path-dr-nida-chenagtsang-dr-ian-a-baker Also available on Youtube, iTunes, & Spotify – search ‘Guru Viking Podcast'. … Topics include: 00:00 - Intro 01:05 - The Vajra Path 03:42 - Tradition and innovation 08:25 - Mass empowerments 10:24 - 84 Mahasiddhas and individualised practice 13:14 - Vajrayana is experiential 14:52 - Correcting misunderstandings 16:53 - What is essential for Vajrayana to be effective? 19:11 - The role of empowerment 21:00 - Listen, study, meditate 23:19 - The power of place 25:03 - Discerning effective methods for contemporary audiences 28:23 - Secrecy and education 32:18 - How much practice is needed for Varjayana? 36:30 - Struggles with dream yoga and tummo 40:14 - Working with your talents 42:34 - 6 Yogas study mistakes 44:05 - Misguided attitudes to ngondro, preliminary practices 47:06 - Spiritual cocktails and narcissism 49:02 - How to relate to other traditions 50:49 - Syncretism the critical historical perspective 54:51 - Fundamental values 58:12 - Dark triad traits in spiritual practitioners and teachers 01:02:12 - Vajrayana and institutions 01:03:35 - Distilling the essence or taking out of context? 01:05:00 - Dr Nida's vision of Vajrayana institutions 01:06:38 - Cultural trappings vs the essence of Buddhism 01:12:49 - Dr Ian on religious institutions and the evolution of Vajrayana 01:16:41 - Essence of Vajrayana 01:20:45 - Who does Vajrayana belong to? 01:22:25 - Critical historical vs traditional perspectives 01:26:39 - Dr Nida reflects on the power of simplicity 01:30:09 - Friendship and collaboration 01:31:33 - Hijacking of Buddhism 01:34:47 - Deelaboration and the beautiful adventure 01:36:40 - Future trips, courses, and activities … Previous episodes with Dr Nida Chenagtsang: - https://www.guruviking.com/search?q=nida Previous episodes with Dr Ian A.
