What sets Michael Molthan - M2 The Rock's story apart is the realization that there wasn't just one rock bottom; there were many. And from those challenging moments, he emerged stronger and more determined than ever. Today, he leverages his personal experiences and magnetic, relatable personality to inspire others to embark on their own transformative journeys. Michael Molthan - M2 The Rock is proof that even in the darkest of times, one can find a path to fulfillment and purpose, using rock bottom as a steppingstone rather than an endpoint. Michael Molthan's mission is to raise the meaning of “Rock Bottom” sharing his relatable stories for everyone by rebuilding the “Spirit, Mind, and Body”. When this is “Out of Order” our life is full of chaos and confusion. Michael Molthan doesn't shy away from talking about his painful past of trauma, drug, alcohol, and work addiction. On his talk show called The M2 The ROCK Show, he interviews inspiring people with inspiring stories. For over 2o years, Michael Molthan has been known as one of the most well-known Luxury Homebuilders in Dallas, Texas - The Park Cities and also in the country until 2009. Michael Molthan finally hit rock bottom. Drugs. Alcohol, and crime. And absolute chaos. He accumulated 27 mugshots in four years and was about to enter a place he swore he would never go: prison. Addiction was Michael's temporary solution to heal from a dark childhood trauma secret. Little did he know that being imprisoned and reading and writing for inmates that could not read or write. On October 13, 2017, Michael was miraculously released 2 years early from prison before completing his sentence. He traveled 300 Miles back to Dallas, Texas, to see Judge Jennifer Bennett to turn himself in. For the first time Judge Bennett could see this miraculous change that had taken place in Michael's life, so she pardoned him and told him to go “pay it forward”. That's what Michael Molthan has been doing for the last 7 years. Michael is the host of The M2 THE ROCK Show, one of the fastest growing shows/podcasts in the country that dives into the topic of self-improvement, spirituality, health, mind, and many more. Michael Molthan is the author of two books, “300 MILES – Memoir of Michael Molthan” and “Today, I Realize - Daily Devotional 2025” being released in 2025. TV personality, husband, and board member of the Red Songbird Foundation, Jason Wahler, joins this week's episode of "Rooted in Recovery" to share his journey from addict and reality TV star to sobriety and mental health advocacy. Jason Wahler, a native of Laguna Beach, CA, began his addiction journey during his teenage years, which led him to abandon his dream of becoming a baseball player. In his early adulthood, MTV started shooting “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,” which not only fueled his ego but also intensified his alcohol and drug abuse. After a traumatic experience, Wahler embarked on the rocky road to sobriety in 2010. After a relapse in 2015, Wahler knew he had to surrender to recovery for himself and his family. Wahler helps others on their road to recovery through the Red Songbird Foundation, founded by Hilary Roberts, and maintains his grounded presence in his new home base of Nashville, TN. Last week, we left off with Hilary finally getting to a place in which she was able to move on from her past and leave some of her former life behind. This week, Hilary talks about the steps she began taking with her mentor and the difficulties that still came along even after all the abuse. She talks about how her past left her with a feeling of unworthiness, emptiness, and an unsettling feeling that her legacy would be nothing more than what she endured. However, through the aid and encouragement of dear friends and mentors, Hilary began to believe in herself and that her life could still be anything she wanted it to be. She also talks about overcoming open heart surgery and how this experience was the catalyst to her dedicating all that she does toward helping others who have endured similar circumstances. Hilary's story is a true testament to the idea that no matter what you go through in life, you can always make it out on the other side by doing the work and believing that it's never too late. This week, we jump into Part 2 of Red Songbird Founder, Hilary Roberts, story of sobriety. All the childhood trauma and abuse caused her to be vulnerable, desperate for love, and seeking a way to escape. She details quite possibly her worst experience with abuse as an adolescent which resulted in an even more diminished view of herself. Her self-esteem in the toilet, she took jobs she never thought she would take, only adding to this cycle of unworthiness that would result in her using drugs and alcohol to numb the feelings. One thing Hilary did have though, was the desire to change. She talks about how the right mentor came along and changed her life. This mentor treated her with dignity and respect, and by following her recommendations and advice, Hilary began to realize she did not have to be defined by her dark past. However, she later discovered another addiction that she believes was even more difficult to overcome than the substances. Along the way, her lost singing voice came back through prayer, her self-worth began to regenerate, and she was eventually able to quit the job she hated most. With a past like Hilary and seeing where she is today, it is a true miracle and testament to the power of recovery. We conclude next week with Part 3! This week, we dive into the story of singer, songwriter, and founder of the Red Songbird Foundation, Hilary Roberts. Hilary experienced trauma and abuse from a very early age which continued all throughout her adolescence. She talks about how there was very little healthy adult supervision growing up and how an ultimate lack of protection resulted in her being subjected to so many abusive people and situations. To make matters worse, nothing was ever done to help her, and things were not taken as seriously as they should have. As the years went by and the abuse continued to happen, Hilary quickly grew more resentful and began to take the burden on herself, thinking about what it was she had done to deserve this abuse and how it must be her fault. Hilary talks about how her self-esteem ultimately reached a point in which she felt like she was “a piece of garbage” and “not worthy of love.” Then, as she grew into her teenage years, she found alcohol, which helped her forget about some of the trauma she had continually experienced as well as helping turn down the constant thoughts of unworthiness she had spinning in her head. All this neglected abuse and trauma was building up into a launchpad that would end up being Hilary's addictions and negative treatment of herself in the years to come. Jason and Hilary discuss why childhood trauma can be so damaging to a person's future psyche and how it is possible for an individual to be placed into so many vulnerable places. Jason also marvels at the fact that people were so willing to find Hilary help with her alcoholism in her teenage years but not at all willing to help her with the sexual abuse she had experienced growing up. In a story involving so much adversity and so many levels, we had to make it a multiple part episode. Tune in next week for Part 2! In this episode I'm joined by American singer, songwriter and philanthropist Hilary Roberts. Hilary captures attention powerfully, and at times I almost forget I'm supposed to be interviewing her! She's honest, open, extremely likeable and has a fascinating story to tell. She tells me about her struggles with addiction and abusive past, and how she was able to overcome these and become a successful singer. We talk about the foundation Hilary started to help others with similar struggles, and how moving to Dallas helped her to get better. Then we talk about her career, how she got into singing, and the new songs she's recorded that are ready for release... “I never thought that I could experience life with joy, freedom, peace, relief, and have a healthy intimate relationship because of what I'd been through. But it is through getting help that I have a life which is beyond my wildest dreams.” - Hilary Roberts Time Stamps: 01:42 - Who Hilary Roberts is and what we are talking about today. 03:50 - A clip from Hilary's new music video. 06:40 - Why Hilary spelled it ‘Ringer' instead of ‘Wringer'. 09:13 - Why she moved from Denver to Dallas. 11:27 - What the music scene is like in Texas, and why Hilary loves it so much. 13:12 - What the food scene is like in Dallas. 15:11 - The new song Hilary's ready to release and the animated video that'll go along with it. 16:21 - The recordings Hilary's been able to do over the pandemic. 18:56 - How the production process for a new song works. 23:39 - The importance of always striving to improve. 30:00 - The foundation Hilary launched to help people who have suffered from abuse and addiction. 33:48 - What her recovery journey has looked like. 38:55 - What her goals are for 2021. 42:17 - How to connect with Hilary online. 45:12 - How Hilary stayed mentally healthy during the pandemic. Part 2 - Neville James continues his birthday celebration with a musical tribute from Lorna Nichols. Charlotte Amalie High School senior Hilary Roberts calls in to thank the community for their contributions to FCCLA’s food drive, and Ronnie Russell and Rocky Liburd round out the hour talking vaccines, scratch band music and conflict resolution.
Part 2 - Neville James hosts Hilary Roberts, Crystal Austrie and Meah Moss, members of the Virgin Islands Family Community Career Leaders of America from Charlotte Amalie High School. They share the inspiration behind this weekend's "Drive + Drop" food drive on St. Thomas, their experience learning remotely during the pandemic, and their future aspirations. Ronnie Russell rounds out today's show by touching on Larry Kupfer's resignation, the future of WAPA and how we might be able to curtail violent crimes in the USVI. Ronnie also speaks to his daughter Ronaqua Russell's recognition at the Miami National Airport as the first African American female U.S. Coast Guard air medal recipient.
Today we're talking with ‘The Hills' star Jason Wahler and Billboard-charting singer Hilary Roberts about mental health, addiction, and how to get help. Roberts founded the Red Songbird Foundation, which Wahler now co-chairs. Both of them overcame personal struggles with addiction and now dedicate their lives to helping others overcome it, too. This topic is especially important during this pandemic. New research shows 2020 has triggered a rise in emergency room visits for cardiac arrest tied to drug overdoses, while the Kaiser Family Foundation reported a growing number of U.S. adults are struggling with a variety of mental health issues, increasing from 32 percent in March to 53 percent in July.

On Let The Journey Begin, we want to provide a safe and comfortable environment to have an uncomfortable conversation. We will bring on guests from all walks of life to hear their stories, trials and tribulations that they have faced and or are facing. By looking at their journey, we hope to provide our audience with relatable content that may offer a different perspective or even a solution.

Hometown Radio 02/26/20 3:30p: Hilary Roberts Grant talks about "Better Angels"
Singer, songwriter, Hilary Roberts call the show to talk about her new single, Good Man. Plus, Eric talks about how he is more manly than Michael. Then later, the show imagines what would happen if Michael did not get his five minutes with William Shatner. Also, find out which old-school Nickelodeon theme song is a show favorite.
As Party Favorz counts down the days before we enter into the third decade of the Millennium — we continue to deliver the goodie bags to make your holidays more enjoyable or at least bearable. In keeping with tradition, we're dropping the annual Jingle Electric, which features the biggest Dance Club hits of the moment and some that will be heading into the new year. For those that caught my teaser on Facebook, which referenced the comeback of disco, let me just say that I may have oversold it but not really. The first true sign of a resurgence is Dua Lipa's massive "Don't Start Now," which is the first mainstream attempt of injecting disco into its formula and it works in spades. In fact, DJ Barry Harris predicted a resurgence of disco in a recent post to his Facebook account. He would know because he gets commissioned for a lot of mainstream artist remixes and he's clearly reading the same signs that I am. "Don't Start Now" had a bevy of remixes commissioned by the label that accompanied its release. Labels do this to guarantee a hit for all tastes and it shows that they're testing the waters. While there a few really solid Future House remixes of this track, the one that tops every DJ's list is the remix by Purple Disco Machine (featured here). You may remember that Party Favorz was the first to feature a Legacy set of PDM's work in late 2018. Ever since I heard his remix of Hercules & Love Affair's "Do You Feel the Same" in the HBO series "Looking," I was hooked. Fast forward a year later and PDM is everywhere and in high demand. I'm not saying that this site alone pushed him into the stars but I'd like to think that we (I) had a helping hand in his success. Additionally, Sam Smith dropped a remake of Donna Summer's techno-disco classic "I Feel Love," which is blowing up just about every dancefloor around the globe — gay and straight. The track is apparently a promotional tool for Target but I wouldn't know because I don't have cable. Honestly, who cares because this song is the fucking bomb! To be fair, lead singer Jimmy Sommerville of Bronski Beat fame got there first as far back as 1983 but we're talking about a 4-decade old song that was ahead of its time when it was released and is now being reintroduced (I might add very respectfully) to an entirely new generation. In addition, there are other disco tracks in this set Jax Jones and Year's & Years "Play," which is given the PDM treatment as well as the fabulous "I Don't Need Love" by Karen Hardin & Wh0, where Mark Knight and Michael Gray perform the remix duties. Taken in total, expect to be hearing more of this and less Reggaeton, Moonbatan and likely even Trap as we get into the summer of next year. YOU. HEARD. IT. HEAR. FIRST. All of my praise for the changing tides in popular and club music shouldn't discourage anyone that's a fan of the current club music landscape. The overall feel of this set is still Future House and club-friendly versions of your favorite pop songs. We even have some notable remakes like "Silence" by Sylvain Armand, which was a massive hit for Delerium and Sarah McLachlan back in 1999 after DJ Tiesto got his hands on it. We also have "You Gotta Be" by Bombs Away with Reigan, which is a remake of the #5 pop hit by Des'ree from 1994. That track actually came out in April but got buried by the simultaneous release of "Back To Life" by Hilary Roberts, which went to top the club charts. "You Gotta Be" is only now climbing the charts but as good as it and the accompanying remixes are — it's not clear how well it will do but definitely worthy of inclusion. Since I can't give a point by point review of all the great tracks included in this set (many of which will be featured in our upcoming Year In Dance multiset series), I'll let everything speak for itself. I will be back next week with our final Circuit Tribal House set of the year — the annual Holiday Edition. Until then...ENJOY! Album: Jingle Electric 2019

This Moms Mini is with Hilary Roberts on how she sets expectations and guidelines to help to make traveling a good experience filled with memories and laughter.
Hilary shares her hilarious parenting moments and how she chooses to parent in a loving way with boundaries and expectations. She is the mom of 8 but says she is not an 8 kid mom! She shares her "banking method" of discipline and helping kids overcome shyness. We were so lucky to have her we laughed for 2 hours straight and had so much fun. We will definitely have her back!!
It's time for the annual Catch-Up! Just in time for the summer season, this series allows you to catch up with the biggest dance club hits of the year. As an added bonus, I've thrown in some newer tracks that are just now gaining momentum and will likely soon be everywhere. Ariana Grande is the clearcut winner for the most hits with "Thank U, Next" carrying over from last year along with "7 Rings," and "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored." One of the most striking trends I'm seeing is the classic-pop remakes. While sampling past hits have been a staple of artists going back to the 90's, remaking full tracks has not. In this set we have a total of 5 remakes that include: "Self Control" by Kendra Erika (originally a Top 3 hit for Laura Branigan in 1984), Hilary Roberts "Back To Life" (originally a #1 hit for Soul II Soul featuring Caron Wheeler in 1989), "Fired Up" by Jade Starling (originally a #1 dance club hit for Funky Green Dogs in 1996), "The Rhythm of the Night" by Sean Finn & Corona (originally a #11 pop hit and #1 dance club hit for Corona in 1993 who re-sung the vocals for this release), "I've Been Thinking About You" by Klaas and Londonbeat (originally a #1 pop and dance club hit for Londonbeat in 1989 who re-sung the vocals for this release), "Bittersweet Symphony" by Gamper & Dadoni featuring Emily Roberts (originally a #1 pop and alternative hit in 1997), and "Jump" by Van Halen and Armin Van Buuren (originally a #1 pop and rock hit in 1984). The one that did not make the cut is "You Gotta Be" by Bombs Away featuring Reigan, which was originally a #5 hit for Des'ree in 1995 but didn't quite capture the essence of the original. This is quite a grab bag of influences artists are delving into as they represent a wide variety of genres. At the end of the day, a great song is still a great song. I realize this set has been a long time coming but it's finally here and there is enough to fuel your parties through July before I start dropping some new dance club on you. I'm currently wrapping up the annual installment of Beach House and will start working on the next Underground House set shortly. As you can see, there's plenty in the works.
