I like to go into my shell. and hibernate and take care of my inner workings so that I can then come out heel -holding complete and ready to hold space for my loved ones, for myself, and for my work. So that is what I did during this time period because while we were away, I launched my baby girl off into college in another state, which... functionally was a new challenge for me and emotionally was definitely a new challenge. So that is what we are going to dive into today. You're going to dive into the college departure. We are going to dive into the experience of the college departure through the lens of attachment. And it does not matter if you have not launched a college student, attachments exist everywhere. And we are going to talk about that and what that looks like and how it applies to you. So while today's may be infused with some college stories, I also help relate this to you if you are looking at entering a new chapter and new chapters exist all the time. This can look like the start of a new friendship, start of a new relationship, start of a new job, getting married, having a baby, deciding today, I want to start doing something different for myself. New habits are a next chapter when we begin to change how we eat. We often feel sad about the chapter we left. Next chapters exist all the time. So don't you worry. Some of my stories will be about college today, they also attachments are relatable to every life change. So I'm so, so happy you're here. And yes, my baby girl is in college in a different state, which definitely required a lot of logistical planning. So between the shipping things across the country, both online purchase and home, as well as checking that list about a thousand times, these physical things made us These physical things overshadowed what was really going on. This process from one chapter to the next, the storybook of our family was about to turn a huge page. Grayland, which one of my best friends calls our house, was about to start a new chapter. Garayland, the story of my family. I prefer to call it the next chapter instead of empty nesting. know, when a bird leaves a nest, it leaves the nest either one because it's undesirable anymore, or it has been overrun with mites and lice and parasites. And I did not feel like that was an accurate representation of my home. You see, over the many years that I've lived in my home of course, I have raised these beautiful birdies to launch and go be into the world. However, like mama birds all over the world, in addition to those birdies, I've also every day gathered and brought back beautiful strings of yarn, beautiful twigs, beautiful pieces of tinsel to decorate and warm my home so that it is inviting and comforting and nourishing to my family and to anyone that stops in. So I feel like empty nesting is not an accurate term and I encourage everyone everywhere to begin saying next chapter or however you would love to term it for yourself. Let me know in the comments down below if you have a different term. But for me, it is next chapter because I haven't left my nest empty. I have launched these beautiful human beings out into the world to go make this world a better place. And in fact, Richard Rohr in his book, Falling Upward, I'll include a link down below, says that States that, states that children have to leave their nucleus family of their mother and father so that they can go and join the world family. And I feel like that quote has been so helpful for me in recognizing, they're just off joining the world family because we've done our job and we've done our job very well. They're securely attached. So, We go from the daily interaction to one hour a week that we get to FaceTime and talk because they're having so much fun. They're involved in so many things and doing so many wonderful things, which is exactly as it's supposed to be. Excuse me. So what are? So today we are diving into the question, how are your next? So today we are diving into the question, how are your next chapter attachments affecting you? We are going to look at our attachments in three different ways. We're going to look at the attachments that we have about the way things were and the roles that we played in it. We are going to look at our attachments to our current situation and the role that we're playing. And then we're going to look at our attachments to what's to come and the role that we think we might play there. And my hope is that as we... dig into these attachments. As we dig into what this looks like, you can begin to have more compassion for yourself. You can begin to have a little more awareness of what's actually happening so that one, you don't take things so personally, but two, you begin to have more grace for yourself and for those around you. So what are attachments? So what are attachments? Attachments are the function of energy. Attachments are an energetic function of the heart. So we create attachment to a longing of the heart, of the way things should be or could be or feel comfortable being. And why do we think this is? Well, the answer of course lies in the counter chakra system. I will include a link down below to the heart and root chakra episode I did. We believe something should be a different way in our heart. We cling to that because we believe that in having it, we will feel safer. We will feel more secure. We will feel included. All those themes are themes of the root chakra energy. I will include a link down below to episode one, where I dive into the root chakra, heart chakra, counter chakra partnership here in the space from establishing equilibrium. But as we dive into this, think this is such a perfect place to begin because attachments are there because we believe they're going to help us feel a certain way. when we, as we've learned, so as you have learned in my book, establishing equilibrium, when one energy center is symptomatic, it is actually the partner. the asymptomatic partner that needs nourishment. So when we see an attachment to something, it has to be this way. It should be this way. We want to look to the opposite. Why? What do we think we're going to benefit from that? How are we feeling safer? How are we feeling more secure? How are we feeling more included if we were to have this attachment? Because sometimes we can be fierce about those attachments. But when we ground our root chakra energy, when we nourish that root chakra energy, it helps to loosen the stronghold on that attachment. How are your next chapter attachments affecting you? How do you need to be safer right now? How are you looking to be more secure or included and what things in your life have to be a certain way because you think you're going to get those things. begin to look at this partnership and what it's really trying to tell you. So first attachments to the way things were, let's face it. We love knowing how things turn out. We know that it's a known variable. There's no surprises or fewer surprises. We don't have to try to control anything or we know what we can control or did control. We don't have to. be surprised or worry or have any faith because it's already happened. We're on the other side of it and we can look to the brain axis. We can look to the solar plexus and crown chakra partnership here. Again, I'll include a link down below to the original episode talking about this partnership, but our solar plexus that is located right below our rib cage holds onto the themes of control and fear and joy. But the counter chakra to that is our crown chakra, where we hold our faith and trusting everything happens in the perfect divine time at the perfect divine way. The opposite of holding onto that fear. But when it's already happened, we can have all the faith in the world because we know how it's already turned out. We don't have to try to control. The goal here though, moving forward is having that balance of faith and knowing we don't have to control because everything is blessing us. And what does this look like in terms of launching a birdie out of the nest? Well, it shifts from, wow, I was super attached to. chatting every day and enjoying the intimacy of family life, knowing what you ate that day and being able to nourish you with food and emotion and hearing the nuance of your daily life. I loved that. Who doesn't love that? So that I believe for many parents is a big shift in not having that daily connection that then moves to the one hour FaceTime once a week. And in fact, just last night I was cleaning up from the day, from the night it was rather late. I'm not usually up so late anymore because now children, I don't have to stay up for curfew. They had no idea how long, how hard it was to stand for curfew, but it was nearing curfew time as I was putting away dishes in the dishwasher and wiping the counter. And I had a moment where I looked at the clock and my mind forgot that I was next chaptering. And I had this thought very quickly thinking, I wonder when she's going to come home. And I, I. energetically and emotionally had this expectation that I was going to hear the keys in the door and that the door was going to unlock. and that she was going to knock on the door to come in. than she didn't. And that was sad. That brought up so much grief for me right there in that moment. And that's healthy grief. That's how we, when we process our grief properly as we move from one chapter to the next, we are able to release that chapter. in a healthy fashion, in a healthy way. So it is so imperative to feel the grief and to feel the sadness of whatever your next chapter looks like so that you can then move on to the next chapter. So in that moment, I felt so sad and I felt this wave of grief show up. And of course, as the universe would have it, of course, I looked at my phone and this beautiful image showed up on my social media feed because, you know, our phones read our minds. I literally didn't say anything out loud. It was actually kind of creepy that it could read my mind that way. But this was from, oops. This was. This was from grief and healing in the after loss. And so this is specific to death, but I want you to look at next chapter in as a, as a form of death. It's still permanent. It's just a different aspect of your life that has moved on to the next chapter. So it says what people think we grieve. What people think we grieve the loved ones that we lost. What we actually grieve. and then it goes on to list these things. Excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me. So there was this beautiful image from the grief, from grief and healing in the after loss. So in this image, it lists two items, what people think we grieve and what we actually grieve. And so it just has one thing for what people think we grieve. What people think we grieve, the loved ones that we lost, what we actually grieve, all of the missed moments, the memories we can no longer make, the empty chairs at the dinner table, the conversations that we can no longer have. all of the happy moments we want to. All of the happy moments we want to share. Our life before they died. All of the future plans we made. And I would say here in this moment, curfew, the welcoming of your child home after curfew and just the energy that exists here in the home when your family unit is together or whatever that next chapter is for you. For me, of course, again, it is going to be centered around the college launch. But we miss those, what I would dare say again, root chakra experiences, the physical experience of our life is found here in the root chakra. It is tangible. It is physical. We miss those things that then create this grief experience in our heart chakra. So through this, if you are next chaptering, I would encourage you to ground your energy even more. Go sit outside and put your feet on the grass. Do more grounding exercises. I will include a link down below to some grounding meditations that I have put out. I also envision my energetic cores. I also envision my energetic cords every single day, about a hundred times a day, maybe not a hundred, but a lot. And invite this beautiful Walmart Earth energy to nourish my pelvic floor, the base of my spine, my perineum. I encourage that for you too, so that you can begin to feel safe and secure, included and protected so that you have less attachments to moving forward. And is it the things, and then we're going to look at the role that you used to play. Is it the things that you are attached to, or is it your role that you used to be attached to? Sorry. Or is it your role that you used to play that you're attached to? And roles are great. Roles allow us to have multiple layers, multiple layers of wisdom. to pull from. It's okay to be attached to that role, but in recognizing it's the role, you can begin to reassign your role as a purposeful role into the next chapter. One of my favorite shows is This Is Us and Mandy Moore when she was talking to her adult child. So if you're familiar with the show, it spans multiple generations and tells the story of a family through multiple generations. So there's an iteration of these triplets as babies, and then those triplets grow up and are adults, and then those children, their children grow up. And so it's like this really interesting timeline of storytelling all about this family. So in this one particular scene though, the matriarch of the main family is older. And she has an adult daughter that she's talking to. And she says to her, I thought this is the best explanation of motherhood that could exist. She said, when I look at you, I see every version of you. So we see the baby and we see the five year old, the 10 year old, the 15 year old, the 20 year old. We see every version when we look at our children. And I think along with each of those versions was a role that we played during that. The parent that we needed to be when they were babies is not the same parent that they needed when they were 15 or 20 or what I imagine at 30. aren't there yet. And I remember my mom would always joke and say, motherhood is the only job that once And my mom would once, my mom would always say, my mom would always joke, motherhood is the only job that once you're experienced, you're unemployed. And no, we will always be mom and we're not unemployed, but our role definitely changes from what was to now to what will be. Our role is simply. different. move from that daily survivor to helping them survive on the daily to becoming a coach or an advisor and someone who has less. insight and influence into their daily decisions. So how are your next chapter attachments affecting you? recognizing what we are feeling as this chapter closes as grief is so important and this visually was just so true as I as I mentioned we flew we had to fly to drop our daughter off to college and as we were leaving and flying away you could see I happened to be sitting on the side of the plane that you could see the university as I was leaving and had a football stadium. And so as we were flying away, the stadium was got smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller in my window. And as you can imagine, I cried harder and harder and harder and harder as the stadium got smaller and smaller. And so I just felt like it was such a visual. I felt like it was such a visually tangible moment and illustration of this chapter closing and my role changing and that she was there and I was going to be back home. I could feel it. You can literally feel my role changing second by second, minute by minute, clap by cloud. I could literally feel my role changing second by second, inch by inch, cloud by cloud. Life was changing. And that's a good thing. It is a good thing when we don't have so many attachments. So as we move on to the current moment, we can recognize that as we make this transition from one chapter to the next, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me. we can recognize that as we move from one chapter to the next, that there is grief that exists in that. If you loved that chapter, there are parts of that chapter you don't want to leave behind. And the only constant in life is that there is always change. Things will always change. And when we can begin to know that, we can feel safe and secure and provided for and included no matter what the change is. And we can recognize that we need to honor that grief. Have you ever had friends that seem stuck in the past? That they just can't seem to get moving forward. They're just stuck. They're still stuck on old friendships. They're still stuck on old ways and habits and things. They feel like the glory day was then instead of now. The reason why energetically They're still stuck there is they still have all of these attachments there because they feel that was safe. That was secure. That's offering them safety and security and provision. They haven't come to realize that you can have that here in the current space as well as in chapters to come. And part of what holds us there is not allowing yourself or this person to process the grief. As we process the grief, as we process our emotions, it allows us to let go of those old attachments and come into this safety and security in the present moment. So if you are experiencing a next chapter and someone else is involved in that next chapter. So for instance, for me with my daughter, you can be happy for them. You can be excited for them. It is all those things. I'm so excited for my daughter. I'm so happy for her and I am grieving that change. She's fun to hang out with. I miss seeing her. I'm sad because I miss seeing her. That doesn't mean I'm not all those other things. We can normalize feeling all sorts of things all at one time. This is grief. Grief is all the things. And when we honor that and respect that it helps us move into the next chapter more effectively and bringing in the opportunity to bring in more abundance into that next chapter. I already said that. Okay. How are your next chapter attachments? let's see. So welcoming in this current moment. What in your life can you appreciate that exists now because of this last chapter? An abundant relationship with someone. Maybe it is a new job that you only were able to get because of the experience the last job provided you. Maybe it's a new relationship. that you are only able to attract because of your experience of the last one or because of all the work that you've done on yourself. You are now able to attract new friends, new relationship. What from that last chapter is bringing you into this current moment that you can give gratitude for and appreciation that you are right here, right now, always being blessed. And what role now do you get to play because you are in this chapter now? And so often in this current moment, we want to time capsule it all to hold onto it because it is so precious. We know it's precious when we're here in this current moment. And so we want to time capsule that. And so often we know that the current moment is precious. And that is why we want to time capsule it. Yes, as verb. What does time capsuling look like? Time capsuling looks like the first day of school picture with the sign. It is measuring the child's growth at the same front door every single year. Maybe these are just the things that happen in my house, but I imagine not. I see a lot of pictures. I mean, I'm not on. social media too much. But when I am, especially the first day of school, there's so many pictures of first day of school signs as well as measuring. That was our thing. We measured against a door to see how much they've grown in that year. How much have you grown this year? And of course, recording everything. And I feel like this is a touchy balance because we want to record everything, but we also want to be here enjoying and appreciating the present moment. How are you time -gapsing this current moment? And how can you bask in the presence of this current moment? And how has your role changed now? As a result of the last chapter, how are you bringing a better version of you into this chapter? Just like the mom from this is us, which version are you now? Which version of you is your life calling you to be? We can give such huge gratitude for that. And maybe you don't know what your role is currently. That is okay too. When we can sit in a place of Potent indecision. No. When we can sit in a mo - When we can sit in a place of potent unknowing. This is when we invite the divine in to make magic happen inside of you. When we are at - this place of non -resistance. We allow the divine to come in and guide us to do exactly what our soul is meant to do here. How can you get to that place? Begin with meditating 30 seconds in the morning, 30 seconds at night, asking for guidance to show you. Excuse me. Excuse me, how are your next chapter attachments affecting you? Now back to our show. attachment to how things are going to be. So I have offered to both of my children, hey, if you want to call me in between class, you could call me for five minutes. It doesn't have to be the official once a week call, but they're so full and busy making friends talking to other people. I very rarely sometimes I'll get that call, but very rarely. And that is okay. I am so happy for them that life is so full because you know what, when things have gone awry, I do get that phone call. So again, I can look at that. That makes me feel safe and secure and, and included root chakra, root chakra, root chakra. When they call me to work through things. And of course I'm their parent. I'm, I'm always on their team and want to support and guide and help them. But I don't need them to call me to feel safe and secure. I appreciate that they do. So how will things be? Now, this is where ritual can sometimes enable us and help us move into the unknown. When we have ritual, can know and feel, but recognizing again, the whole purpose of this episode is to recognize this balance between Root chakra, chakra, attachment and feeling safe and secure and protected. Root chakra, heart chakra, root chakra, safe, secure, included, protected, heart chakra, attachment. Help yourself find this balance. So as we move into the unknown, our attachments of how things will be. Ritual is something that allows us to feel that safety and security. So I had attachments to show up in such a big way for me in this college process because the college she was attending had like a really big welcome thing. And they were sending out videos for weeks and weeks and weeks ahead that would say, welcome to the university, welcome to the university. And so I had so much attachment around. the welcome arrival that we were going to experience because I had seen old videos, I'd seen all these videos, welcome to the university, welcome to the university. And so I was there in our packed car, video rolling, I was so excited, I wanna capture our personal moment. And when we got there, the person said, welcome, welcome, which was so friendly. And I think this person was trying to be extra friendly and extra welcoming, except that my attachment was I was expecting welcome to the university. And I'm not going to lie, my heart was sad a little bit, but I then recognized in the very next beat, literally heartbeat. isn't that interesting? Literally in the next heartbeat, I recognized, that was my attachment. That was my attachment to wanting to hear that exact phrase. And guess what? other people came up to us and said welcome to the university. So was just this one particular person who I actually think was trying to be extra, extra friendly. Welcome, welcome. There is nothing wrong with welcome, welcome. It was my attachment to welcome to the university that created this disappointment for myself. We were so welcomed. They were so friendly. my attachment, but in me recognizing it was my attachment, I didn't hold onto it. I still realized we were included in the new family, in the new school family. I recognized I was still included in the school family, Root Chakra, and that I could let go of this attachment. didn't need Welcome to the University in order to be included. All my Howard attachments showing up for you in your rituals. And I was telling a friend of mine the same story and she said, yeah, well with my child, all I asked for was a picture of her in, you know, often the freshman class will do a letter on a football field. law schools will do this. She said, all I wanted was the picture of her in the letter of the freshman class. And it came out, I saw it and I said, where are you in this, in the letter? And she said, yeah, I couldn't, it didn't happen. So for her, she had to let go of that. was something more important for her daughter to go and do. And we are so happy about that. But when we can recognize it's our attachment to a ritual that makes us feel safe and secure and included, we can begin to let it go and not hold on to resentment and hurt feelings. because it is these attachments that create the hurt feelings in our heart. But we have these attachments because we believe they will make us feel safe, secure, protected, and included. and we are able to let go of those attachments when we nourish this root chakra. either through awareness as we are doing in this episode or through grounding your energy in the dirt, on the earth, or through visualization. How can you bring safety and security into your world so that you can let go of your attachments in every phase? And your future role. Excuse me. Excuse me. And to finish off with what comes next for your new role, I would just ask a few questions for yourself. What do you want this role to look like? What is your soul calling for you to do in this new space, in this new time for what's to come? If you could not fail, what would you do or how would that feel? And simply by basking in what it feels like without attachment to how it is defined. Again, it is this poignant unknowingness, but how do you want it to feel? If you can create the energy for how you want it to feel, the universe will match that feeling and draw it in in ways you may have never expected. And I want to hear down below when that happens, because it is so cool when you begin to recognize the energy when it shows up in your life. And it may show up in a role you may have never imagined. How are your next chapter attachments affecting you? If you're moving into a new life chapter in whatever way, new job, new relationship, launching a child, new friendship, new you, new diet. Are you ready to let go of the way things were and the role that you played in it? Are you ready to sit in gratitude for all that is currently happening and the role that you are getting to play because of your last chapter? And as you turn that page of the storybook, and move in to what is to come. Can you have faith that everything is going to fall into place and that you will feel secure, safe and included in whatever manifests in your life? This is such a potent time for you in your life. And I want you to know you are writing the next page of your storybook. I'm so excited for you and I can't wait to hear about it down below. Let's move into our next chapters with tinsel, with yarn, with all the twigs that we have filled our nest with. It is time to bask in your own nest and your own next chapter. I can't wait to hear down below how you are enjoying this next phase. If you found this helpful, thank you so much for liking and following and subscribing to the pod. Thank you so much. Join me and learn how to manifest the life of your dreams in 6 easy steps! Join me for this powerful episode and begin living the life you desire! In this episode, Erin discusses the topic of manifesting and how we can EFFECT our lives. She introduces the acronym EFFECT, which stands for Emit Gratitude, Feel into what you want, Flood the feeling, Establish what you want, Commit to what you want, and Take time to be still. Erin emphasizes the importance of emitting gratitude, feeling into the desired outcome with all senses, committing to the desired outcome, and being still to allow the manifestation process to unfold. She shares personal examples and encourages listeners to shift from a state of wanting to a state of gratitude and receiving. Takeaways Manifesting begins with emitting gratitude and elevating our energetic frequency. Feeling into what we want with all our senses helps to align our energy with our desires. Flood the feeling of what we want into our aura to magnetize it into our lives. Establishing what we want without the state of wanting allows us to shift into a state of receiving. Committing to what we want and taking small actions aligns us with the manifestation process. Taking time to be still and trust in the divine timing allows the manifestation to unfold. What is your purpose and how do you find it? How can you make this world a better place? Is it possible to have a 5-minute purpose? In this conversation, Erin explores the topic of finding one's purpose and making the world a better place. She emphasizes the importance of leaving a positive impact and shares her own experiences of finding purpose in different areas of her life. Erin discusses the concept of purpose as our Divine identity and encourages listeners to focus their energy and find patterns in moments of fulfillment. She suggests keeping a passion jar to track activities that bring joy and reflection on resistance to narrow down one's purpose. I if you were listening on Mondays when I originally dropped, I hope so. I hope you are here and starting your week off with me. If not, come and join us on Mondays. But today we are talking about one of the most important topics, I think. Although maybe I think every week is important, but today we are talking about the importance of grounding. And we're going to talk about what is grounding and if we even need it. And I think this, if we even need it, might become a series for me because I did the energy screen, what is an energy screen and do we even need it? And now it is what is grounding and do we even need it? So we'll see what follows with the do we even need it series, but I am liking that. Anyway, today though, we are diving into energetic grounding and what that means, what that looks like, what it looks like when we're not grounded and how to ground. So have you been losing your keys? Have you been double booking your appointments? Have you been forgetting what you're saying mid -sentence? Do you walk into a room scattered? Hot mess, hot mess, whirlwind. This is what it looks like when our energy is ungrounded. And I was thinking about that as I was thinking about putting together this episode. What does actual physical electricity look like when it's ungrounded? And I thought to myself, wow, electrical cords would look frazzled at the end, possibly one of many things that could happen, but it would look frazzled at the end of the cord. And I would say that that's how we look when we are ungrounded as well. We look scattered, we look frazzled so we can have that image in our mind of what ungroundedness looks like. It looks like that end of the frayed electrical cord when your phone cord has been used too many times and it has now come apart. That frazzled look. However, when we are grounded, We are connected, protected and safe, much like we are when we are energetically grounded within our home. So I decided to look up on US electric .com about ungrounded outlets. And I thought this was so fascinating because I think what we can say to the outlets, we can also say to ourselves when we are ungrounded. Ungrounded outlets. And I'll include this link down below if you want to get your electricity insight on. Ungrounded outlets will be unable to compensate for electricity overloads and cannot send current to the ground safely. What? Look at that in terms of when we have too much energy or emotion coming at us, we are not able to compensate for someone else's overload of energy or emotion and we don't know how to get rid of it safely. So then we react or we blow up or we become depressed or exhausted. None of which help us attract the highest vibe life possible. Next. So the current will search for another way to find grounding by taking the shortest, easiest route possible, which could be through your hand at the plug, giving you an electric shock or through frazzled wiring or causing a fire. But I thought that this was very interesting. It has to take the shortest and easiest route possible. So that looks like the energetic emotional explosion, or it looks like the distancing or the cutting off, all of which are low vibe. However, when we walk through life, energetically and spiritually grounded, we can remain connected. We can remain present with our own emotions as well as other people's emotions and know how to safely distribute that emotion and that energy by using the grace technique, which I'll include a link down below. But we have talked about grounding our energy, retracting our aura, attaching to the center of the earth covering with our energetic screen of choice and then emptying that bowl, allowing, not allowing someone else's content to affect us. We grace ourselves. But the first that G in grace is ground. We always begin by grounding. And when we walk through our life grounded and connected to the divine, we are present and we can safely manage emotional and energetic overloads by our surroundings. We are no longer triggered by the people around us. We live in a world that ungrounds us every moment of every day. There is so much toxic news, toxic commercials, toxic people around us. And if you're finding that, think about your own toxic thoughts or emotions because like attracts like and what we pay attention to, we draw in. So do you need to take a moment and not pay as close of attention to all those things? But as a society, our children and ourselves, we are spending more time inside. Children are not playing in the dirt as much. They're not climbing trees as much. We're not playing in the dirt or climbing trees as much. This is a physical way for our bodies to be grounded. scientifically grounding is the exchange of electrons between the earth and our body. The sun releases electrons into the ionosphere, a layer of the atmosphere approximately 50 to 400 miles away. The sun's rays are so powerful that they split the molecules into a negative charge and a positive charge. The positive charge remains in the ionosphere while the negative charge collects and then ultimately leaves the ionosphere and hits the earth and disperses that negative energy onto the earth's surface through lightning. Then the super magical thing happens. Those free electrons are absorbed into the body when we walk around on the earth and it neutralizes the free radicals in the body when we stand on the earth, when we... play in the dirt, when we climb trees, when we sit up against a tree, when we hug a tree, when we walk along the beach, when we immerse ourselves in nature, this automatically happens and it can happen instantaneously. the free radicals that have built up in the body pair with these negative electrons and allow your ultimate state to be neutralized and balanced. This lowers the inflammation within the body. It improves your sleep and it shifts your autonomic nervous system from sympathetic to parasympathetic dominance. There is an incredible movie. I'll include a link down below. It's free. Bye. called the Earthing Movie that details this process and shares perspectives from all of the industry's experts, including Clint Ober, who was the pioneer of this movement. But how much time are you spending outside? How much time are your kids spending outside? Can you just sit out and enjoy your morning coffee with your feet on the ground? You know, when I was a little girl next to our house on the side of the house, there were these little cement rounds. Very 1970s. The little pebbles, right? That had like little. circles with the little cemented pebbles inside of them. But I every day would make pizza pies with my little pizza pie station. So I would collect rocks and leaves and grass that was my cheese and appropriate rocks that were the perfect round size to be my pepperoni. And all of nature I would gather to be my ingredients to create these pizza pies every single day. I made lots of different designs and then ultimately it would teach me non -attachment because each one of my ingredients would be either scooped up by birds throughout the night or the wind would blow it away. So by morning all of my pizza pies had disappeared. Have you ever seen those beautiful sand mandalas? I'll include a link down below to one that they are created by the Tibetan Buddhist monks and they create these beautiful, intricate sand masterpieces that are so detailed, so beautiful on their own pizza pie, on their own cement, maybe they're wood or cement, but it is these incredible. incredibly intricate sand masterpieces. And then when it is complete, they ceremoniously dismantle them to depict and symbolize our impermanence here and that we can practice non -attachment to, we can create beautiful things, but they don't need to stay that we ourselves grow and change because we have created. that masterpiece, not because that masterpiece has to stick around or stay, but we ourselves have changed because of it. What in your life have you changed exponentially because you created, but maybe exists, maybe doesn't. But when we cling to it's non -existence that can lower our energetic vibration, when we recognize that we ourselves have grown and changed. we can know it has served its purpose in the sole fact that you have shifted and changed non -attachment. And we'll probably come back to that on another podcast episode. But today we are diving into grounding as I took my pause on the beautiful Tibetan monk, Tibetan Buddhist monk sand masterpiece. Okay. So back to free radicals. Back to neutralizing the body, back to the earthy movie. Have you ever noticed how relaxed you are after spending a day at the beach? You're calm and peaceful. This is because you are so grounded. You are energetically grounded physically. Your body physically does this without you even trying. That is how beautiful and amazing nature is. We, we actually had a hail storm this past week. And I went out and caught some hail just to eat it. And I was so amazed. Every single one of those pieces of hail were these perfect spheres. It was incredible to me. And I just was in true awe of just how incredible nature is. And this is just one more way that nature is so incredible. When we work in conjunction with nature and mama earth. She wants to neutralize your free radicals. She wants to reduce your inflammation. She wants to make you grounded, present, and healthy. You can do this through grounding. So we can use this technique energetically and spiritually. So we can physically ground by walking through mud, putting our feet on the grass, leaning up against a tree, hugging a tree, spending time at the beach, allowing the physical earth to actually touch our body. But we can also do this spiritually. And it has a... a very similar energetic effect. In fact, I came to know this. I came to know that I didn't need ground to ground in the most frightening way. Actually. We were in Hawaii and my daughters were out snorkeling and they're like, Oh, there's a turtle. There's a turtle. So I grabbed my snorkel and I ran through the water, jumped out, swam out just so I could see the turtles are last day of vacation. And. I hadn't seen the turtle yet and I really wanted to see him. But when I got out there... I had realized that there was a hole in my snorkel and I couldn't breathe and I panicked and I was hundreds of feet away from. shoreline and I panicked and my, my daughter said to me, mama, why you look like you have ants in your pants? And so I waved to my husband who grabbed the boogie board and headed his way out to me. And I have trained my mindset so much so that here I was. 100 feet from the bottom of the ocean. floating in the water and I grounded my energy. And in that moment, my panic stopped. My anxiety stopped. I certainly got out of the water as soon as my husband got to me with the boogie board, but I didn't. but I didn't drown. I didn't even go underwater. I calmed myself immediately in that moment by grounding my energy, by not even touching the water, by not even touching the ground. I mean, a case could be made possibly that there was sea water and there's sea and sand in the water. So that could ultimately be a little more grounding as well. but my feet were not on the ground. So here is the message, but I do this in airplanes too. And certainly I am so far from the ground in that moment too. I want you to begin to incorporate this energetic grounding into your life every single day and watch how much your anxiety decreases. Watch how much more present you are in your life. So we can probably agree that we need physical grounding based off of all of this. As we reflect on our question before we move on, what is grounding and do we even need it? but we can understand grounding as a means to neutralize our energetic system and bring presence into the body. And do we even need it? That is for you to determine and discern for yourself as we move through the episode. We will dive more into spiritual grounding in just a moment, right after that turtle. Now that we've shared that turtle story, we will come back to spiritual grounding in just a moment, right after this message. Now let's move on to spiritual grounding. Spiritual grounding is bringing presence into the body. It is energetically drawing mama earth's energy up through visualization and subtle body energy connection. It is at the core of mindfulness and allows us to be present with ourselves first. This is such a revealing grounding story on the importance of grounding and why we need to do this. So it was about 10 years ago and I had just started my speaking career and a friend of mine connected me to the head person at her company that I really wanted to speak at. So I was super excited and we had a great first conversation and he said, great, awesome. We have an author coming on Wednesday. Why don't you come and watch the speaker and then we can meet for lunch afterwards. It'll be amazing. I said, great. That sounds awesome. Let me write down the title of the book so I can get it and read it. And I wrote it down on Thursday on my calendar. So I went through my days. I went through reading and cramming this book, which if you've been listening, you know, I'm an audible girl, but this was. predated when audible was a really big thing and so I had to actually read with my eyeballs really fast I read through the whole entire book I was all prepared Thursday morning and sent an email to confirm Thursday morning And if you're listening closely to my story you will have heard When was that actual meeting? Yep So the meeting had been on Wednesday, but I had written it down on my calendar on Thursday and so Thursday morning, I sent an email so excited. I've read the book. I can't wait to meet with you. And he wrote back and said, you were a no show. He wrote back and said, I wondered why you were a no show. No show. If you know me, I am so full of integrity and being there for people and to be called a no show was just gutting to me. And I was, I was actually a no show, but it was more because at that point in time, my energy was completely ungrounded. I was so excited. I had so much energy. I could not handle the emotional and energetic outpouring from the outside because my insides were not grounded just like we discussed at the beginning. My ungrounded system was unable to compensate for the emotional and electrical overload that I received by being invited into this dream meeting because I was ungrounded. So he was so kind and so nice to still meet with me and we got to have a wonderful conversation and connect. But it was in that moment that I realized how important it was. And I was teaching this. I was teaching this at the time. However, we're going to cover off on a few things of what I do differently now that has. upleveled my grounding practice compared to what it was before. So often you will hear teachers talk about grounding from the feet. You ground your energy and this does make a difference. This does shift your energy and it helps connect you to the earth, into the center of the earth. However, what I have found through my love affair with the chakra system is that our root chakra located within our pelvic floor, their perineum. Here, this energy is the energy that grounds us. This is the energy that brings presence into our life. And in fact, as you will hear in a couple episodes, our organ of action of the As you will find out, as you will learn in a few episodes, as we dive into our organs of action, the feet are actually connected to the solar plexus, to our ego, as opposed to our root chakra that grounds us and brings us into our physical body. So bringing attention first to the pelvic floor, the base of our spine, our perineum. And then drawing energy from there down into the center of the earth allows your energetic body to become so powerfully grounded and connected. I once had a client who came in so frazzled. Her electrical cords were so frazzled and just all over the place. And I, I then asked, I said, well, are you... following your grounding practice? Cause I saw her regularly. And so she knew to practice her grounding. And she said, yes, every single morning I'm grounding. And I had just the intuitive hit to ask, where are you grounding from? And she said, from my feet, of course. And so then I taught her about grounding from her pelvic floor instead, and drawing that route down into the center of the earth. And I am telling you, you cannot make this up. She came back the next month and her energy was so grounded, so present, so calm, so unfrazzled. It was incredible. It was absolutely incredible. So if you have a moment, I invite you to join me in this quick visualization. If you're driving or doing something unsafe, please don't do this. Come back, hit pause and come back. But if you were able to take... a few quick minutes with me, I invite you to close your eyes, bringing your attention down to your pelvic floor, the base of your spine, your perineum. And when I say that, I mean the inner, inner deepest, most inner part of the cavity of your body. Bringing your attention down to your pelvic floor, the base of your spine, your perineum. Just allowing your focus to focus here in this space. inviting any thoughts that might be lingering around to float down to your pelvic floor at the base of your spine, your perineum like glitter or snow in a snow globe down into this space. You can remain here for as long as you like gathering and collecting those thoughts. When you're ready, you can see this beautiful tree root push down through the crust of the earth, the mantle of the earth, the outer core, the inner core, 90 % of the way to the center of the earth. And then I invite mama earth to meet that cord. The other 10 % when she is ready, she will intertwine with that cord and draw your cord all the way down into the center of the earth, connecting in pulling taught. And we give mama earth so much gratitude. Thank you mama earth for the sun and the moon and the stars and for taking what no longer serves us and grounding us and bringing us. presence into our life. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. So grateful. And you can remain here for as long as you like. When you're ready, you can then draw that beautiful earth energy up that root filling in your pelvic floor, the base of your spine, your perineum. inviting this beautiful earth energy to nourish and fill in this pelvic floor until you create a little soil of garden, a garden soil here in this space, creating this beautiful garden with soil three inches high here in this space, not too heavy and not too light. You decide for you what feels right, but enough earth energy here that it feels a little weighted, but not too much. allowing that beautiful mineral rich, water rich soil to just nourish your pelvic floor, the base of your spine, your perineum. And then we thank Mama Earth for this grounding. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And you'll be able to return to the space at any time. And when you're ready, you can begin to rub your fingers, coming back to the space, rubbing whatever might have fallen asleep, taking a great big deep breath and stretching, coming back awake alert and refreshed back to this moment now. You can do this in one second. I know I talked to you through this in multiple minutes, but you can do this in one quick second. That allows you to become grounded, connected. If you are snorkeling in the ocean and you need a quick ground, you can do this anywhere. I do it in the airplane. I do it whenever I feel anxious, nervous. This is how I begin my day. This is how I end my day. I do this before every meditation. I cannot encourage you enough. to incorporate this into your life as your grounding practice. This will change the world. This will change your world by offering this powerful, satisfying way to create presence in your life so that you are able to compensate for the electrical and emotional overloads that surround you so that you can offload that energy safely and with presence, kindness, and love. Community on Instagram Transcript Erin (00:05.667) Welcome! I am so happy you are here today today! We are talking about how to become Untriggerable and yes, that is a word. I actually looked it up because I know I like to make up words from time to time but that is a legit word. Albeit a little challenging to say but it's actually a real word I didn't make it up So today we are diving into how can you become untriggerable? And I think that this can become one of your most important superpowers. When we can walk into any room, any situation, any environment and remain unfazed, grounded, vibrant and untriggered. We bring the best version of ourselves and that is the kind of life I want to lead. And that's the kind of life I want you to be able to lead as well. We are going to learn how to become untriggerable. So first let's take a quiz. Pretend we've been hanging out, pretend you're relaxed. on your couch. I've got my magazine in hand. We've been finishing up the quiz, been having lots of fun, lots of laughter. We've been going through all of our relationship questions and now we're at the final question. I loved these quizzes when I was in junior high and high school, by the way. So hopefully this can bring back nostalgia for you as well. Question, our final question. Erin (02:03.555) you rate your external triggers on a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being the most untriggered by outside people in situations and 10 being the most triggered by outside people or situations? I would rate my external trigger level as the following number. 1, 0 outside trigger. 2, hardly triggered by people. 3, a little triggered by people, but... mostly when I'm tired and hungry. Four, sometimes triggered by people, even when rested and full. Hangry is a real thing. Five, 50 -50 triggered, but it depends on who it is. Six, more triggered than I'd like to be. Seven, definitely triggered, but feel like I can't do anything about it. Eight, triggered more than I want to be by more people in situations than I'd prefer. That's no laughing matter. Nine, definitely triggered most of the time by most people feel... Sorry. Nine, definitely feel triggered most of the time by most people and feel like the only way I'm not triggered is when I am alone. And 10, I am triggered all the time by all the people and don't know how to remedy this state. So this trigger quiz is actually one of the first questions I have my clients fill out when we start coaching together, because this is the measure for me. This is the measure of success for myself as well as for clients. When we can become untriggered by our external world, we stop looking to the outside world for our answers and we begin to reflect inward and know everything that is happening on the outside is by cause of what is happening on the inside. So as we balance, as we connect, Erin (04:09.003) As we establish our own equilibrium internally, we are no longer triggered by our outside world. So. Erin (04:35.459) How can you become untriggerable? Here are nine ways that we are going to discuss on how to become untriggerable. We're going to dive into this checklist by way of seven of them being through the lens of the chakra system, of course, because everything is energy. Energy is the common denominator. And then two bonus lenses that I think are super, super important. So in each chakra, as we talk about it, we are going to talk about the organ of action. And if you followed my chakra series last season, you'll know that we dove into each of the organs of action and we're going to talk about them again today, but maybe not in. Erin (05:32.835) they are used to support our preservation. Erin (05:40.163) Because that's what I think creates this reflexive trigger to the outside world is when we don't maintain that inner presence, that inner groundedness, that inner connection. And when we bask in this place, that is when we know we will not be triggered. We do not give our power away to the outside world. So let's get started. Number one, beginning with the root chakra. This energy center is all about safety, security, money, acceptance, and your primal needs. So what are your primal needs when you are hangry? Yes, we are hungry. We can be tired. We can be exhausted. And we certainly haven't shown ourselves any self love. When we haven't covered off on our primal needs first. We set ourself up to be triggered way too easily. And I mean, think about that when you were in school, did you study for tests? And was there a correlation between the tests that you studied for and the grades that you did, that you received on your test? My bet is they probably was, it probably was that the test that you studied for, you probably did better on the test. The test that you didn't study for, you probably didn't do well on as your test. So this is all about the pregame. Erin (07:33.635) how we prepare our energy system before we are in that environment, before we run into those people or situations as we raise our energy frequency, as we find ourselves more present, more grounded, before we get into that situation, we are less likely to be triggered by that person, situation or thing. So back to our primal needs and our root chakra. Can you ensure that you are eating nourishing foods before you get there? And ideally earth balances this energy center. So if you know that you're heading into a really triggering situation, you can even eat root vegetables, something that's got a lot of dirt on it. Of course, wash it, but. It was still grown in the earth, so it absorbs that earth energy. So we're talking sweet potatoes, potatoes, carrots. Erin (08:44.131) And the organ of action for the root chakra is the anus. So certainly be sure that you show up to that event. Having used the restroom, having taken care of all your primal needs. You were fed, you are bedded. Oh no, I don't want to say that. You are fed, you are well rested and you have used the restroom. All your primal needs are taken care of. so that you can walk into that event whole and complete. Erin (09:22.403) Number two, our sacral chakra. This energy center is the home of our emotions. It's where we feel our connection. Erin (10:09.443) This is where we house all of our emotions. Erin (10:37.891) And so we can start with the basics again, our primal needs still feed into the sacral chakra because it is very closely tied. So you can stay hydrated here as water helps to balance this energy center. But also you can have mints and gum or essential oils, something that brings nourishment and peace and calm to your tongue because the organ of action here for this energy center is the tongue. Erin (11:12.195) And silence can be the most powerful thing to say. Just like in you've got mail Meg Ryan's character. Now if you remember that movie, it's one of my most favorite movies, but she gets so excited because she had worked so hard to say just the thing that she wanted to say to her rival. And she said, I did it. I did it. I was, she was celebrating in this email. And she said, you know, I thought I would feel better after I said exactly what I wanted to say at the right exact time, but I didn't. I felt wretched because our energy system wants to speak peace. It wants to speak love. So when we say things because we're upset, And we think by saying something nasty or mean to someone else will make us feel better. It actually makes us feel worse because that is not what our divine energy is brought here to speak, say, or do. We are divine. You are divine. I am divine. We are a drop of the ocean within this ocean. We are all connected and we are all part of the same energy body. Erin (12:38.435) So to choose between peace or unpeace as we talked about last week is silence your best route to remaining in peace and equanimity. Erin (12:56.275) Does peace allow you? to set yourself up to remain the most untriggered it might be. And that knowing that is the most powerful place to be. And understanding, I want you to get to a place where it doesn't feel hard to hold your tongue because then we get canker sores or cold sores when we're holding back anger. I want you to get to a place energetically and emotionally that you you're okay with silence. You're okay with that peace because you know what you can contribute doesn't necessarily add to it. And also recognizing that other person may be in so much pain that they're not going to hear you anyway. So you honor love and respect your energy system so much that you don't spend the energy on the words that will. I want you to get to a place where it isn't even hard for you to hold your tongue. That you come to this place of security, peace and knowingness that you know that whatever you need to say doesn't contribute to this situation. Not because you don't have to. to say, but more so because you see the pain in the other person's eyes and you know that whatever you're going to be saying isn't going to be heard. So you can save that energy because you know it won't even be heard or heard in the same way because your energy systems are, are resonating at a different frequency. Erin (16:12.163) because maybe that other person is an addict or maybe they're angry or they're hungry or tired or exhausted. Erin (16:24.739) They can be one of those things. They can also, we become, they can also become addicted to their anger or addicted to whatever feeling they've repeatedly experienced. You see our brain becomes addicted to the chemical that is released by each individual emotion. And so we find ourselves repeatedly trying to maintain that mindset simply because we become addicted to the feeling, not because we want to continue to act or live that way. We become addicted to that emotion and anger resonates at 150 according to David Hawkins emotional scale, which I'll include a link down below. Anger resonates at 150. Acceptance resonates at 350 and love resonates at 500. Erin (17:31.135) So when you begin to think about your situation of purely from an energetic frequency, Erin (17:46.485) for this person that may trigger you and you can begin to see that maybe they're just really hurt. So this doesn't make them your friend. It's okay and you don't have to be their friend. This doesn't make... Erin (18:06.677) frequency so high that you were not affected by their emotions and you then draw in people that are in more alignment with your energetic frequency so the person who may be resonating at a lower energetic frequency will simply fall away or they won't even bother you so it doesn't even matter if they're there because no matter what they won't be triggering you. Erin (18:37.301) You will no longer feel them and get triggered. You'll just witness them and see them. And within the solar plexus, the theme here is all about our personal identity. But as you know, through our weeks of counter chakra work, this is also where we can hold our divine identity. When we invite the divine here into this personal space, it transforms not just from our personal identity, but into our divine On the low side, this is where we hold fear and control, but on the high side, this is where we hold our joy. And my hope for you is that you joy yourself right out of that trigger. We're going to use joy as a verb, not just as a noun or a state. Joy yourself, joy yourself right out of that trigger. when you are joyous and happy and your energetic and emotional frequency runs so high that those with such a happy, sunshiny state. It's fairly popular. But is this image of this beautiful little yellow guy appropriately because the color of the solar plexus is yellow, but this isn't necessarily tied to the solar plexus. So in the first frame you just see the happy little yellow guy and then you see the yellow guy walk into a room. that is just non -colored. They're just outlines of people. It's a whole crowded room of outlined people. And then in the third frame, you see that the whole room has now become yellow because this body shared its beautiful sunshine light with the whole entire room. Erin (21:27.093) And that's what I want for you. I want you to change the room with your joy and to not let... Erin (21:37.813) shine beautiful and shine magnificently so that any energy that is lower than yours either elevates and raises up to meet you or it burns away just like being surrounded by this beautiful sunlight so every week I encourage you to Erin (22:08.789) and it is here within our. helps to Erin (22:16.917) we can cultivate that fire and allow this beautiful divine energy to flow through every cell in our bodies in our body and then emanate this beautiful yellow light around us as we are this big sunshine so if fire feels right to you . You can use that but imagining that you are this sunshine state imagining that this beautiful sun is greeting Erin (22:49.877) that is not beneficial to you. Erin (23:02.933) But you can let me know if you can hear the plane. It's very loud for me, but maybe my background noise takes it out. Erin (23:23.733) It is just like that beautiful little song, this little light of mine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. I'm not going to sing. Maybe after my singing classes, I'll start singing more, but not right now. But you know what song I'm talking about. The little light of mine. It is your little light and you need to let it shine. And when you let it shine, it burns up anyone who may be at a lower frequency or maybe grumpy around you change the room. Don't let the room change you. This is everything that the solar plexus is about. Erin (24:20.629) Number four, the heart chakra is all about self love. We can send love to the person or situation that triggers us. And you can also love yourself enough to set boundaries. It's okay. You can be loving and not be their best friend. You can be loving and not even want to have a one -on -one conversation with. You can be loving and not have to spend time with them. Erin (24:58.937) divine state is love and you know sometimes when we love people we can set expectation that we expect that they're going to treat us a certain way and our expectations live right here in the heart chakra. On the high side, it is full of so much self love. And on the low side, it is full of expectation. And when those expectations aren't met, it turns into resentment. And often these expectations coincide with and resemble the very way that we were not loved as a child. It also often shows up as our love language, but. That'll be a whole episode at some point, but how does it feel? Speaking of expectations, how does it feel when someone dumps all over you for an hour and then doesn't even ask you how you are, but then hangs up? I mean, it's happened to all of us, but how does that feel when you expect or believe that someone's going to be there for you? probably pretty hurtful. And when the hurt isn't addressed, it becomes resentful. Erin (26:23.701) Cause you expected that person to care more for you. And then we become resentful. But if we live in that state of resentment, what does that do? That lowers our energetic frequency and then attracts more things for us to be resentful about than people to be resentful about. So we don't want to, we don't want to live there. We can allow, even if we do get triggered, we can allow these triggers to be pretty quick and to flow through our body, which we'll talk about in the next chakra. how we let it flow through the body really quickly. Erin (27:00.405) But so as we adjust these expectations, then we don't become so resentful and lower our energetic frequency. Erin (27:16.597) They may not be there for you, but you reach a place of letting it be okay. If you are able to vibe out of that relationship entirely, go for it. If you have obligation there. There are things that you can do that minimize the resentment response in those situations. I have energetically eliminated most of these from my life to be quite honest. But when I feel that someone isn't honoring me back in the same way, but you know, through the years I've come to honor myself a lot more. So I don't really. I to many people that don't honor me because I honor me. And when I've come into this place of honoring myself, the people that honor me have now surrounded themselves around me. Not because I tried, it just happens. And it will happen for you too. But should there be a situation where someone is not honoring me, but I still have to either socially... talk to them or have a conversation with them. They don't get my undivided attention. They have not earned my undivided attention. So I know that they will not give to me. So I give to myself while I'm in that conversation. So if I'm on the phone, Erin (28:56.597) It can be that I am folding laundry or doing dishes or doing something that moves me forward for myself. That's a way that I can give back to myself while listening to this person who needs to just tell their story. And I can also recognize that maybe that person doesn't have a lot of people to listen to them. So I can grace myself. I will include a link down below to my meditation, but we. surround ourselves with that energy and hold the bowl for them to fill up and we dump out, we do not take on that energy dumping. Erin (29:34.069) but I also give back to me when I know that that person is not in a place that they can give to me. Try that. Try that and see how your energetic frequency begins to shift just from this one technique. Erin (29:54.229) It is so incredible. It is such an empowering way, especially for those people that we have expectations for. We can minimize our expectation and give to ourself and still find this high energy place for everyone. Don't let them trigger you. Become untriggerable. How can you become more? untriggerable. Erin (30:55.989) That brings us to our throat chakra. If there is a relationship in your life that comes with that obligation where they need to share, If there's a relationship in your life that comes with the obligation, that's okay. It happens. It is life. But one, I want you to honor yourself and figure out how you can give to yourself. But another great technique that affects the throat chakra. is here within our state of listening. So we can pregame here by listening to incredible music. We can listen to binaural beats. I'll include one of my favorites down below. We can listen to chanting. You can listen to whatever feeds your soul, whatever raises your energetic frequency so that you can walk into that situation with an elevated energetic frequency. This is our goal. Erin (32:13.941) But if you were there and you don't have the opportunity to wear noise canceling headphones, you can imagine, I like to imagine little earplugs in my ears that transforms whatever I am listening to into energy of love and joy. Even if they're saying something that is offensive to me, I don't listen. I literally don't listen. I transform that energy into love and bask in my high vibration because if this person or situation is going to lower my peace, the cost is too high. Anything that lowers your energetic state is not worth it because as you maintain this high higher energetic frequency you attract in the life of your dreams. Relationships of abundance, money of abundance, career, health, life abundance. Listening is just as much a part of the throat chakra as is speaking your truth How can you raise your vibration with your ears you can do any one of those things listening to high -vibed music? Putting your ear filters in this is a visual ear filter by the way, I mean maybe No, it's possible that they have actual ear filters, but I'm just envisioning energetic ear filters when I talk about that. And finally, the phrase, I want you to think about that phrase in one ear and out the other. What do you think that means? In one ear and out the other. It's not that we aren't listening. That's energetic state is how you elevate your energetic frequency. You don't become attached to what that person is saying. You don't assign value to what they're saying. They haven't lived your life. They don't know. They don't live in your head. You are the only person who lives in your head. Erin (35:10.293) People only comment people who are higher. or energetic frequency. There isn't anything to be jealous of there. They're worse off, right? They're aspiring and wanting to be at a higher energetic frequency. And when we are in a challenged state, we believe we can get there by being frustrated at other people until we come to recognize our life is our echo. That's coming soon. But when we look at the throat chakra, in terms of the counter chakra system as described in my book, establishing equilibrium, which I'll include a link down below. Erin (35:56.693) We know that the sacral chakra and the throat chakra partner together. So as we hear something, we feel it in our sacral chakra As we hear something, we feel it in our sacral chakra. This could not be more true. As you know, if you've been listening to me week after week, you know, I only listen to audio books. I only listen to audibles. And it was so fascinating because my book club had chosen a book that did not have an audible. And so I actually had to read with my eyeballs and it felt so flat to me. And then I realized it was this connection that makes the audible come alive. We feel. ears we feel it in our ears. Erin (36:54.037) same as Erin (37:01.557) We allow that emotional absorption. But is this someone that you want to allow into your body? And if the answer is yes, that is so great. But if the answer is no, then we allow their words to go through one ear and out the other and know that that's how it's meant to be. No attachment. Do not cling to their opinion or their words.
