We all go through terrible struggles in life. We all face terrifying storms on our journey. Many times during the midst of our storms we struggle to find peace and rest. With far too much to do, too many answers to solve, and an overwhelming feeling of responsibility, we grit our teeth and just try to make it through. Chief Jackie (Black Bear) Singer has devoted his life to one of service, as a Navajo Sundance Chief (Brave Eagle) and traditional healer, and as a US Veteran and commander of Walk With The Warriors. Jake offers us an opportunity to learn from the traditions and wisdom of the Navajo people. Despite a long history of being wronged by the US government Jake transcends this paradigm and is tirelessly devoted to driving change from a place of love. One of his initiatives is Walk With Warriors where he seeks recognition and support for indigenous veterans. Since early 2000 he has been campaigning to make November 7th National Native American Veterans Day. Back in 2002 he and 5 fellow Native American veterans walked 2,800 miles across America, ending their journey in Washington DC where thier request was ignored. Even though the US government withdrew some of their agreements made in the treaty of 1868 (which they celebrate like their July 4th) to have native americans fight for them, the government consistently fails to recognize them for their contributions of service. And now, they are fighting for their rights once again to maintain their sovereignty. This is a cause they continue to fight for so please check out the links to see how you can get involved. Even the disciples experienced this to a degree and we believe there are reasons why this happens. Rickey Rowland and Michael Carnahan started out the last show with a MAJOR announcement as Rowland revealed his 3 competitiors. The owner of the All-Star Wrestling Federation will be represented by Ray Ray, Asa Morta, and Cataclysm The Maniae! In our opening contest the Big Man continued on his roll of wins by taking out the physically imposing Heinzman/Gigglez. Next up we seen X-Ray pull out a huge victory in a triple threat matchup defeating the returning Troy Twain. And Justin Venson who yet again had to deal with issues with his brother costing him another contest. After that the ASWF Champion Josh Cross defeated the ASWF Evolution Champion Steve O in a Champion Vs Champion non title encounter. Next up Luke Justice was without a tag partner last Saturday but he found an adequate replacement. Yet he still came up short against the current ASWF Tag Team Champions Winning The Fight comprised of X Kaliber and Jake Black. Speaking of being without a partner Ray Ray was without a partner before the tag match against Carnahans' cronies. But while Carnahan was gloating in the entry way Ray revealed his plan as he was joined in this match by Cataclysm. However, after some less than ethical tactics DeMike and Tyler Knight picked up a big tag team win, and some much needed momentum. Finally in the Main Event the former tag team champions exploded! As Garion Tyr got the better of former partner Gaston in dramatic fashion. One has to wonder what is next for both of these guys? 

The Alabama 3 singer and co-founder Jake Black died in May: as the next tour date draws near band members must decide whether they can continue without him and how they mark his absence on stage. The decisions on a way forward started within days of Jake's unexpected death and whilst his body was still in the mortuary - moulds were taken of his face and hands in the hope that a death mask might help recreate his presence on stage. In addition of the death mask, sound experts have painstakingly resurrected early out takes of Jake - otherwise known as the Very Reverend D Wayne Love. As preparations gather for the new tour, the forgotten tapes of the talented singer are a constant reminder of his huge talent. The mask is made from the moulds taken by band member Nick Reynolds. He's the son of Bruce, the great train robber and as well as playing harmonica he's also a sculptor specialising in death masks. He's convinced that immortalising him in this way will be cathartic for all of them: During the grieving process band members travel to a huge Sopranos Convention in New Jersey, with thousands of fans eager to meet the musicians behind the Sopranos theme tune, 'Woke up this Morning.' It is a bitter sweet experience for Rob Spragg, otherwise known as Larry Love, who formed Alabama 3 with Jake in 1996: "Jake was larger than life, a real fusion of what we stood for and being in America without him is very hard." Rob has made big changes in his own life following Jake's death, largely giving up drugs and alcohol: "It's so hard - he should be here with us and hearing him during rehearsals and performances is bringing so many tears." Happy New Year from everyone here in the All Star Wrestling Federation! Join us this week as we get you ready for "New Beginnings New Horizons" Live from the Valiant Area. When we last left you at the end of Hostile Holidays we had just witnessed Lone Justice pull off the upset over the Maniae and Pure Xcellence. What is next for these two young men as we head into 2020? And even though it may be a new year not everything has changed as we witnessed Josh Cross retain the ASWF Championship. Who will be the next challenge to "The Original Misfit"? Speaking of challenges we witnessed two tag teams go through an AMAZING tournament to crown themselves tag team champions. Jake Black and X Kaliber shocked the wrestling world in winning over Garion and Gaston. But there will be no automatic rematch in this situation as after the contest Garion Tyr shocked EVERYONE by viciously attacking Gaston. After weeks and weeks of shocking attacks finally Steve O and Kid Krazzy stepped in the ring in a ladder match. Steve O was able to secure another accolade to his impressive resume as he won the Evolution Championship. But this issue seems far far from being resolved between not only the combatants but their representation.  Speaking of an issue that is FAR from being resolved we decided very little in the contest between Heinzman and Kristian Kross. What has the first event of 2020 have in store for these two individuals.....or whatever you call Heinzman.  Justin Venson finally dispatched of this masked assailant that had been torturing him and his brother for months and months.The joy of victory quickly gave way to heartbreak and confusion as Daniel Venson viciously attacked his brother and left him laying! We have a NEW Mr Golden Ticket "The Big Man" K. Toomer won the opening battle royal to claim the prize. No one in the ASWF can feel safe as Toomer may has the entire roster firmly in his sites!

We kicked things off with "The Golden Ticket" Battle Royal which was won by Ray Ray of the Maniae. One has to wonder with the possibilty of capturing the tag belts. What Championsip Ray may have his sights set on!  Next the #1 seed in the Tag Team Championship tournament Garion and Gaston taking on Tyler Knight and Justin Venson.  When things were seemingly turning in Venson and Knight's corner Daniel Venson suddenly appeared in the entry way.Only to be quickly yanked back!  That wasn't the only bad thing that occured to Justin in this match as suddenly Tyler Knight walked away from a tag from Justin. And then brutally attacked him after thier match. Also the "Big Man" K. Toomer came out calling out Josh Cross. But the champ had a different opponent in mind for Toomer. And out came "The Pretty Boy" Matt Odam to face the "Big Man". Despite his best efforts in kicking out of Black Power Odam ulotimately fell victim to Section 8 and it appears NO ONE will escape section 8. Next up was Kristian Kross taking on Jake Black, Heinzman, and X-Kaliber. Black picked up the victory in this highly competitive encounter. But the main story here was the continued decent into madness by Heinzman or Giggles or whatever it or THAT is called. Also we seen the #2 seed in the tag team championship tournament Ray Ray and Asa Morta take on new comers Peyton Mcallister and Luke Justice. And the young guns did NOT disappoint giving the Maniae all they could handle. And almost took over that #2 seed from Asa and Ray but in the end they were able to regin victorious and continue their monumental roll. Next up we seen the ASWF Championship defended as Josh Cross was challenged by Cataclysm. The match was an excellent encounter and unfortunately Cataclysm won the contest, however it was by disqualification and Cross escaped with his title. Proving that these encounters are FAR from over!

Jake is a snowboarder from Colorado who initially parlayed his love for snowboarding into a professional career but he soon decided he wanted to try and give something back to the industry, and began to broaden his interests - notably as a journalist specialising in issues of sustainability in the snow industry, and then with Protect Our Winters, a none profit organisation that is the leading climate advocacy group in the winter sports world. Today Jake is Program Manager for Protect Our Winters, working to further the group’s climate aims on projects around the world. So he oversees initiatives like the Hot Planet Cool Athletes programme, the ambassador program, and basically acting as the conduit for POW US to the world. I first met Jake up in Lofoten in March 2019. We got on straight away - and not just because he loaned me his crampons during one particularly icy traverse. Like many people working in this sector, Jake has been motivated by his own love for the outdoors, and his personal experiences as a rider and traveller - and I was impressed with his take on the unique climate challenges faced by people in our world. So we arranged to meet later in the summer during his next trip to Europe for the European POW summit in Innsbruck. We sat down to discuss Jake’s career, his take on how to respond to the charges of hypocrisy that anybody attempting to affect change inevitably faces, and how we can reconcile these two seemingly opposing stances.
