Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 97th episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. This set covers discs 1676 to 1700 in my Classic Collection. In my Fuzzy Feature, I talk about the 1946 Holmes and Watson mystery "Dressed to Kill," starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. I chat about the Kyle Smith book they used as a basis for at least the title and the names of a few characters in the 2006 CBS Tom Cavanaugh vehicle "Love Monkey." I found it while attending a book chat author and fellow podcaster Kemper Donovan gave for his debut murder mystery "The Busy Body" in Grand Rapids, Michigan, last April, which gave me an excellent opportunity to highlight the upcoming release of the second installment in his ghostwriter series, "Loose Lips," available for pre-order at www.kensingtonbooks.com/9781496744548/loose-lips/ or any independent bookseller you prefer. In Cross Connections I highlight appearances by several actors in shows I cataloged in this set, including Ray Wise, John Larroquette, Michael Ian Black, Michael Imperioli, Kurt Fuller, Cory Montieth, Benito Martinez, Tyne Daly, Judd Nelson, Liam James and Alyssa Milano. I determined Diedrich Bader likely qualified as a Golden Thread in my collection. In my Classic Collection, I chat about "Who's the Boss?" references in "Community," I do a compare and contrast on "Human Target" and "Archer," with comments on "Desperate Housewives" and "Supernatural." In my Current Collection, I archived family memorial services into my home collection. I also archived "Agatha All Along," "Only Murders in the Building," and the Kamala Harris rally in Milwaukee. Archiving is on hold while we get ourselves set up in our new home in Utah. Even so, I watched the "Doctor Who" Christmas special on Disney Plus. Comments on that, as well as "Wicked" and "Sonic the Hedgehog 3." TOP TWELVE: Here's a "Top Twelve" episode guide for people looking for a quick read-in on this blog and podcast effort: https://videofuzzy.libsyn.com/about. Enjoy!

KURT FULLER (Victor Kragston) Over his almost 40 year career, Kurt is proudest of his work as the grouchy and violent Mr. Brell (no first name) opposite Mr. Hulk Hogan in the actor/wrestler's starrer NO HOLDS BARRED. Produced by Vince McMahon, the film has been criminally ignored on every list of “ Best Films” ever compiled. Surprisingly, Fuller's performance was overlooked during 1989's awards season. WHO'S READY TO RUMBLE? Amanda Detmer (Fox's Empire), Kurt Fuller (CBS's Evil), Dana Ashbrook (Showtime's Twin Peaks), and Michael Hogan (Fox's The Resident) star in this no holds barred look at the dirty underbelly of professional wrestling. James Roday Rodriguez (ABC's A Million Little Things) joins with Legacy Theatre to produce Laurence Davis' riveting drama, taking you from the corner office to the top turnbuckle, daring to ask “Who are the Masters of Puppets?” This is the story of how the fate of a billionaire marriage and a wrestling empire are all decided in one night. Everything is on the line for everyone inside and outside of the ring. It's a winner take all battle that shows you what happens when money, love, and a real rough business fight it out on stage! There will be laughs. There will be tears. There could be blood. Born in San Francisco and raised in the agricultural heartland of California's San Joaquin Valley, Fuller became passionate about acting while attending UC Berkley, where he received a degree in English literature. After graduating, he made the move to Los Angeles with everything he owned stuffed into the back seat of a Dodge Dart (including a king size foam rubber mattress). For the next ten years he was a Realtor by day and a stage actor by night. Then, in 1986, he created the leading role in Steven Berkhoff's explosively successful "Kvetch", earning rave reviews on both coasts. Fuller has gone on to have a very successful career, working with some of Hollywood's best directors, including David O. Russell, Tony Scott, Harold Ramis, and Ivan Reitman, among others. His numerous film credits include "Auto Focus," "Ray," "Pushing Tin," "The Jack Bull," "Ghostbusters II," "Mr. Woodcock," "Nailed" and "The Pursuit of Happyness." Kurt still returns to the stage occasionally, most recently in the acclaimed "Greedy" for Red Dog squadron. He's also worked at the La Jolla Playhouse and the Mark Taper Forum.
Graham "GSM" Matthews airs his exclusive interview with Masters of Puppets star Kurt Fuller to kick off WrestleRant Radio talking his role in the new Connecticut play all about the inner workings of the wrestling business, what you can expect, working with James Roday Rodriguez again, being a wrestling fan, No Holds Barred being a highlight of his career, thoughts on Vince McMahon, and much more. GSM is then joined by RJ Marceau to discuss CM Punk officially being announced for the premiere of AEW Collision in Chicago and if a heel turn could be coming before reviewing WWE Night of Champions! This week on Saturday Night Jive we watched the 1989 classic No Holds Barred otherwise known as the single greatest movie ever made. Starring one-time SNL host Hulk Hogan (check out episode 206 of our podcast for a full rundown of his Season 10 episode) and written by Hulk and WWF president Vince McMahon, this movie is either accidentally brilliant or intentionally brilliant (we can't tell) but it is without a doubt the greatest movie in film history. Hulk plays Rip, the most popular wrestler in the world, and he's being hounded by a rival network president who wants him to wrestle on his network. Featuring an Academy Award performance from the great Kurt Fuller, this movie has everything. Panties that go from navel to knee, dwarves that don't look like Peter Dinklage, readily available assassins, feet that look like either butts or balls, pie fights, shabbily made American shirts, Jacob from Lost in traction, and of course, dookie.Full archive of all podcast episodes available at saturdaynightjive.blogspot.comEmail us anything at saturdaynightjivepodcast@gmail.comDownload Here
Episode 100! *blows party horns* regarding my tagline on this weeks' graphic... I think everyone knows that the outtake we know that quote from comes courtesy of the season 5 gag reel, along with a number of other outtakes from this episode, and it feels suitably celebratory for the 100 episode milestone! Yes, this is the 100th episode of Supernatural, but it's also the 100th episode of this podcast! Thank you so much to everyone who's stuck with me. I love and appreciate y'all so much :') We finally meet the real Adam (not the ghoul impersonator), Sam proves his faith in Dean even when Cas (and Dean himself) has despaired of it, and Zachariah meets his richly deserved end. It's slightly on the long side this week, but I didn't want to leave anything out... and to that end, I've also got a bit of supplemental reading for those interested, as well. LINKS! What we do in our gratitude videos that we've talked about, is we have encompassed some of that, let's call it strategy. We don't take the technical approach to it, you don't have to understand what binaural beats are to appreciate what we've done. 06:00 - We've encompassed some of that in our gratitude videos, because we find that it's more engaging to the listener. There is something about the mind, it wants to kind of resolve that little slight difference that they hear and in the frequency, the tone. So that makes it more engaging to draw you into meditation. 10:00 - I mean, it is very, very interesting how people react to certain music and when I am getting ready to volunteer again for the convalescent homes, and the the director, the activity director that I spoke to said, those Alzheimer's patients don't remember the names or the the places...

Listen & Subscribe on: iTunes / Stitcher / Podbean / Overcast / Spotify Contact Info Website: www.stayalivevideo.com Website: www.gratitudevideo.com Most Influential Person Rayko: My mom Effect on Emotions Frank Kilpatrick: I would say that it's something that I think of as an important tool or resource kind of like a bookshelf. It's having something that I can use to facilitate going down a different road. We wrote a song recently that we're just finishing up. It starts with the line, ‘hitting past my past on a darkened highway at a hundred miles an hour leading nowhere sharing at nothing'. If you're headed down that road, mindfulness and gratitude can give you a different turn or choice to shift your way of thinking and to shift your experiences of that day. That gives you a lot of power. Having that as a tool is a gift. Thoughts on Breathing Rayko: Breathing became a lot more important. You breath without thinking. When you're born, you're already breathing and you don't think about breathing. But when your loved ones get diagnosed with lung cancer, breathing becomes something that is right there, in front of your face. One thing that I do with my mother is something that I learned when I was studying opera for six years. You breath deeply the best way when you're laying down because your shoulders can come up. We lay down together when we're doing this breathing exercise. Don't get me wrong, my parents are amazing. When I was in elementary school in Japan, something was going on at home. I felt powerless and I took it out on other children at school. I was in the popular girl group. I was being so angry and took it out on others. I knew I was doing something wrong. I would go visit the students privately that I had bullied and say, I'm going to help you with your homework as long as you don't tell anyone. I did that for many years until I realized that I should make a change. As a child I meditated and my mom helped me through, figuring out the puzzles and putting the pieces together. Then I stopped bullying and started being there as a voice for the weak. By saving them I felt like I was saving myself. As an actress she is proud of her work and honesty in portraying this complex character and hopes that this series continues to honor and pay homage to the talented, intelligent and beautiful human being that was Selena. In a first for the podcast, we have two guests today: Rayko and Frank Kilpatrick. They're here to talk about the healing power of music. An “Emotional Conduit,” Rayko is a prolific songwriter and an energetic, sought-after vocalist. She composed the melodies for “Gratitude” and sang, played on, and produced all pieces as well. Her compositions often contain themes of social justice, female perspectives, and cross-cultural challenges. Born in Tokyo, Rayko also composed, arranged, and performed songs for the award-winning Amazon Prime series “The Man in the High Castle.” Her other compositions include “Reaching for the Stars” and “Behind the Sun” – co-written with, Grammy-winner, Isha Erskine – as well as the ending theme for the feature “The Wolves of Saving Hill,” featuring Kurt Fuller of “Pursuit of Happyness” and the late Michael Massee of “Spider-Man 2.” Rayko is the vocalist in the house band of Adult Swim's popular “The Eric Andre Show,” and currently the voice of a brand new ride in Tokyo Disneyland. Inspired by a recent trip down the Nile to “The Birthplace of Civilization,” songwriter, Frank Kilpatrick, created “Gratitude” to, “draw attention to everything we have to be thankful for.” Frank created lyrics for all songs in the “Gratitude” suite and oversaw the video and music production. He has written numerous songs in exploratory, harmonic, and romantic genres that are available for licensing. Recently, he created “Stay Alive”: a 90-minute suicide prevention video podcast. Frank frequently collaborates with Billy Hinsche, the co-founder of Dino, Desi & Billy, contributor to recordings by Elton John and Chicago, and best known for his 30+ year touring role with The Beach Boys and Brian Wilson. He also frequently works alongside Scott Paige who's renowned for his work traveling with Pink Floyd, Toto, and Supertramp, among others. Together they have an amazing series called “Gratitude Meditation.” We dive into meditation, gratitude, and the idea of using frequencies to soothe the human soul. -- Resources: https://rayko.com/ (rayko.com) https://www.frankikmusic.com/ (frankikmusic.com) https://www.stayalivevideo.com/ (stayalivevideo.com) https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/article/brain-articles/health-benefits-of-meditation/ (“The Health Benefits of Meditation (and One Simple Mindfulness Exercise)”) https://www.listennotes.com/podcasts/gratitude-meditation-music-podcast-frank-CI_W9sXNZfV/ (“The Gratitude Meditation Music Podcast” - Frank Kilpatrick) https://www.thepassionistasproject.com/single-post/2018/11/02/frank-kilpatrick-is-on-a-mission-to-make-music-with-a-message (“Frank Kilpatrick is on a Mission to Make Music with a Message”) https://thriveglobal.com/stories/never-put-limitations-on-your-capabilities-the-worst-you-can-get-is-a-no-with-rayko/ (”Never Put Limitations on Your Capabilities, the Worst You Can Get Is a “No,” with Rayko) https://abilitymagazine.com/stay-alive-helps-at-risk-populations-choose-life-over-death-by-suicide/ ("Stay Alive Helps At-Risk Populations Choose Life Over Death by Suicide”) Visit https://thisishuso.com/rebel (thisishuso.com/rebel) and use the code “REBEL25” to save $25 Do you want more to empower yourself through healthy living? Part one of the Netflix series loosely told the real-life story of the first twenty years of Selena Quintanilla's life, highlighting her rise to fame as a bonafide singing sensation. The part one finale concluded in the year 1990, with an introduction of the evil Yolanda Saldivar (Natasha Perez). Part one stopped short of when Selena truly found her voice, before it was tragically silenced in 1995.The part two trailer poses the question to Selena: "When you're gone, how do you want to be remembered?" It's a sad question in hindsight, but the trailer also highlights some of Selena's career triumphs, like her iconic "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" performance. Check out the full Netflix trailer below:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMhS0UfY_o4The trailer looks exciting and highlights some of the struggles Selena had to go through in her personal life and career as a recording artist. Part one of Selena: The Series was criticized for not focusing on Selena herself enough. Hopefully part two will remedy that by keeping the spotlight on the star herself. That way fans old and new can appreciate and respect the legacy that the legendary Queen of Tejano Music left behind after her tragic murder at the age of 23 at the hands of her former fan club president, Yolanda Saldivar.Selena Quintanilla's life was cut short way too soon, but the legacy she left behind continues to remain strong to this day. Hopefully part two of Selena: The Series will pay proper tribute to the woman who blazed a powerful light during her life. As Selena says in the trailer, "I just want to be remembered as someone who gave it her all." Part two premieres on Netflix on May 4th.

Why couldn’t they just call him Hulk Hogan? Has a man ever actually told a woman to “Go take a leak”? As per the norm, Kurt Fuller sucks. When exactly did this limo driver literally shit his pants? What is with this midget in a cage? Did Zeus borrow this chain mail tank top from the “Commando” character Bennett? How much money did all those pies cost? Finally, fuck you Rainn Wilson. Based on Charles Brandt’s nonfiction book I Heard You Paint Houses, it is a film about friendship and loyalty between men who commit unspeakable acts and turn on a dime against each other, and the possibility of redemption in a world where it seems as distant as the moon. The roster of talent behind and in front of the camera is astonishing, and at the core of The Irishman are four great artists collectively hitting a new peak: Joe Pesci as Pennsylvania mob boss Russell Bufalino, Al Pacino as Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa, and Robert De Niro as their right-hand man, Frank Sheeran, each working in the closest harmony imaginable with the film’s incomparable creator, Martin Scorsese. A Netflix release.Runtime: 3 hours 30 minutesDistributor: NetflixRelease Dates: November 1, 2019 (limited theatrical release) and November 27, 2019 (on Netflix) Motherless Brooklyn (Closing Night Selection/New York Premiere)In an unusually bold adaptation, writer-director-producer Edward Norton has transplanted the main character of Jonathan Lethem’s best-selling novel Motherless Brooklyn from modern Brooklyn into an entirely new, richly woven neo-noir narrative, reset in 1950s New York. Emotionally shattered by a botched job, Lionel Essrog (Norton), a lonely private detective with Tourette syndrome, finds himself drawn into a multilayered conspiracy that expands to encompass the city’s ever-growing racial divide and the devious personal and political machinations of a Robert Moses–like master builder, played by Alec Baldwin. Featuring a rigorously controlled star turn by Norton and outstanding additional supporting performances by Bruce Willis, Willem Dafoe, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Bobby Cannavale, Leslie Mann, and Cherry Jones, plus a haunting soundtrack (featuring a score by Daniel Pemberton, with orchestration by Wynton Marsalis, and an original song by Thom Yorke), Motherless Brooklyn is the kind of movie Hollywood almost never makes anymore, and a complexly conceived, robust evocation of a bygone era of New York that speaks to our present moment. A Warner Bros. Picture.Runtime: 2 hours 24 minutesDistributor: Warner Bros. PicturesRelease Date: November 1, 2019 Marriage Story (Centerpiece Selection/New York Premiere)Noah Baumbach’s new film is about the rapid tangling and gradual untangling of impetuosity, resentment, and abiding love between a married couple negotiating their divorce and the custody of their son. Adam Driver is Charlie, a 100-percent New York experimental theater director; Scarlett Johansson is Nicole, his principal actress and soon-to-be L.A.-based ex-wife. Their “amicable” breakup devolves, one painful rash response and hostile counter-response at a time, into a legal battlefield, led on Nicole’s side by Laura Dern and on Charlie’s side by nice Alan Alda and not-so-nice Ray Liotta. What is so remarkable about Marriage Story is its frank understanding of the emotional fluctuations between Charlie and Nicole: they are both short-sighted, both occasionally petty, both vindictive, and both loving. The film is as harrowing as it is hilarious as it is deeply moving. With Merritt Wever and Julie Hagerty as Nicole’s sister and mom, and Azhy Robertson as their beloved son, Henry. A Netflix release.Runtime: 2 hours 16 minutesDistributor: NetflixRelease Dates: November 6, 2019 (limited theatrical release) and December 6, 2019 (on Netflix) Pain and Glory (New York Premiere)Pedro Almodóvar cuts straight to the heart with his intensely personal latest, which finds the great Spanish filmmaker tapping into new reservoirs of introspection and emotional warmth. Antonio Banderas deservedly won the Best Actor award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival for his miraculous, internalized portrayal of Salvador Mallo, a director not too subtly modeled on Almodóvar himself, whose growing health problems—including tinnitus, migraines, and spinal pain—and creative block have initiated a midlife reckoning. Moving in and out of time, evoking Salvador’s childhood in the sixties (featuring Penélope Cruz as his doting mother); his years of triumph in the eighties; and present-day Madrid, where he navigates new artistic challenges, Pain and Glory is both a moving summative statement on a career and an indication of more brilliant things to come. A Sony Pictures Classics release.Runtime: 1 hour 53 minutesDistributor: Sony Pictures ClassicsRelease Date: October 4, 2019 Parasite (New York Premiere)In Bong Joon-ho’s exhilarating new film, a threadbare family of four struggling to make ends meet gradually hatches a scheme to work for, and as a result infiltrate, the wealthy household of an entrepreneur, his seemingly frivolous wife, and their troubled kids. How they go about doing this—and how their best-laid plans spiral out to destruction and madness—constitutes one of the wildest, scariest, and most unexpectedly affecting movies in years, a portrayal of contemporary class resentment that deservedly won the Cannes Film Festival’s Palme d’Or. As with all of this South Korean filmmaker’s best works, Parasite is both rollicking and ruminative in its depiction of the extremes to which human beings push themselves in a world of unending, unbridgeable economic inequality. A TV-network boss (Kurt Fuller) pits a wrestler called Zeus against a wrestler called Rip (Hulk Hogan) in a racial match. Featuring another episode of Epic Impression Battles of Cinema: Wrestling Edition. Guest: Johnny Cash (Not the Singer).
No ring. No ref. No rules. For episode 23, we head back to the kayfabe days of the World Wrestling Federation and the height of Hulkamania, as it's been reported that Chris Hemsworth will be tapped to don the red and yellow in a biopic project centered around Hulk Hogan. For this news, we decide to tackle No Holds Barred, the first starring role by Hulk Hogan, co-written and produced by Vince McMahon. An utterly pointless film, No Holds Barred wastes a golden opportunity to capitalize on Hogan's popularity, and despite an excellent turn by character actor Kurt Fuller, winds up being completely forgettable. Listen as we discuss the awkward pacing, the lack of chemistry between Hogan and his love interest, and how much of a waste of time the entire film is. This week on Unorthodox, we'd like to thank the Academy... and our three Jewish guests! First we get glammed up with shoe designer Stuart Weitzman, who tells us about getting his big break when Aretha Franklin wore his shoes to the 1983 American Music Awards, and how he made red carpet history when he designed $1 million shoes for Mulholland Drive actress Laura Harring to wear to the 2002 Oscars. Since then, the 'shoe cam' has become a standard feature of award shoe red carpets. Then film critic Jordan Hoffman returns to the show to tell us what to expect at Sunday's Academy Awards, at which only a few Jews are nominated and some non-Jews are up for Jewish roles. Finally, a special Oscars treat: Liel calls up actor Kurt Fuller, who talks about being 'that guy' in hundreds of films, including Ghostbusters II, Wayne's World, Anger Management, and just about every movie you've ever seen. Special Guests: Steven E. de Souza, Kurt Fuller, George Linder, Rob CohenGuest Co-Hosts: Andrew Nette, Aaron PetersonSet in the distant year of 2017, The Running Man (1987) is set in a dystopian world where reality television rules the airwaves and the most popular show pits criminals against muscle-bound, spandex-clad "stalkers". Based loosely on a novella by "Richard Bachman" (AKA Stephen King), the film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as Ben Richards, a man framed as "The Butcher of Bakersfield" and thrown Running Man game, hosted by Killian (Richard Dawson), and featuring a cadre of killers including Jesse Ventura, Jim Brown, Professor Toru Tanaka, and more.Andrew Nette and Aaron Peterson join Mike to discuss the film, its odd production history, and the resonance to today's world. We also discuss the work of Robert Sheckley and his influence on "people hunting people" films including The Million Game, The Price of Peril, The Tenth Victim and Freejack.
"Offer's off the table. We need men who have pens, AT THE READY!" Yes, the spelling mistake gets addressed. Kinda. Listen as the lads break down the first epic pairing of Will & Jaden Smith and discuss Kurt Fuller's boy status, Rubik's Cubes, unsafe train doors, not having pens ready, thieving hippies, using bee stings to get out of awkward situations, assholes cutting in line, donating blood and based on a true story being varying degrees of bullshit sometimes. All that plus Fun Facts/Bullshit facts and Tenzie awards! (NEXT EPISODE: Night at the Museum)
Kurt Fuller has had so many roles in so many films and TV series over the course of his career that when the time came to introduce him onto Obscurity Knocks, I was so intimidated by the sheer volume of options I had available to me to mention that I actually starred stammering and failed to mention nearly as many of them as I'd intended. Be it Psych or Supernatural, Ghostbusters II or Wayne's World, Miracle Mile or No Holds Barred, Fuller has been all over the place, and he's got one of those faces that you recognize immediately, even if you can't always come up with his name. Maybe that'll change after you listen to our conversation. Perhaps from now on you'll see him and immediately think, "Oh, hey, it's Kurt Fuller from Moonbase!" Nah, I'm just kidding. Nobody's ever said that before, and nobody ever will. And if for some reason they do, Kurt Fuller will have my hide.
As part of Your Stupid Minds’ Worst of 2015 week, we have a single episode highlighting an appropriately forgotten lemon of the previous year. To call Accidental Love a 2015 film, however, is somewhat unfitting. Originally titled Nailed and helmed by prestige Oscar bait director David O. Russell, this film went through production hell following the recent 2008 financial crisis. Filming proceeded from 2008 to 2010 with numerous stoppages (some say up to fourteen) due to lack of payment. Russell eventually left the project, and when the eventual rights holder decided to cobble it together into something resembling a film, David O. asked that his name be removed. Therefore the fictitious “Stephen Greene” is named as director. Accidental Love is a high concept farce wherein Alice (Jessica Biel) is shot in the head with a nail gun as her boyfriend proposes to her at a local Indiana restaurant. When she is somehow refused treatment at the local hospital because she’s uninsured, she goes on a quest to Washington to seek universal healthcare. She sleeps with her representative in Congress Howard Birdwell (Jake Gyllenhaal) due to the nymphomania side effect of her injury, and then more things happen, some of which might be interpreted as jokes. Also starring Catherine Keener, James Marsden, Tracy Morgan, Kurt Fuller, Kirstie Alley, Bill Hader, Paul Reubens, and some other people.
Steve Cooper talks with actor Kurt Fuller. Kurt is best known for his role as Woody in Psych and Zachariah in Supernatural. He appeared in numerous films, working with acclaimed film directors such as Brian DePalma, Paul Schrader, Harold Ramis and Ridley Scott. His film career include appearances in Ghostbusters II, Wayne’s World, Reflections on a Crime, Pushing Tin, Scary Movie, Auto Focus, Anger Management, Ray, The Pursuit of Happyness and Midnight in Paris. He also has an extensive television career. From his screen debut in 1984, playing a cameraman in an episode of Knight Rider,he has appeared as a regular, recurring character and guest in numerous television shows such as The Good Wife, Parenthood, Manhattan Love Story, The Crazy Ones, Franklin & Bash, Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, My Name is Earl, Ugly Betty and countless others.
