Lierre Keith, author of The Vegetarian Myth, Is a former vegan who saw from the inside just how harmful this ideology was to her and other individuals, but to the planet itself. The good and kind intentions of people had been co-opted to push an agenda that did not meet the goals that it claimed to, and so Lierre set out to set the record straight and return not only people's health through proper nutrition of an animal-based diet, but to improve the environment and health of the world at the same time, in the same way. Come see this very interesting interview with someone who was on the inside of the vegan movement for much of her life and was able to see the damage that it caused to her health and the environment first hand. L'issue était-elle prévisible? Peut-on encore sauver l'entreprise Van Hool? _______

FiLiA volunteer Salonika, interviews Lierre Keith and Julia Barnes about their book and documentary film, ‘Bright Green Lies'. Lierre and Julia explain how the environmental movement has now been highjacked by the ideas that harm the environment, and what we can do to reclaim the movement. The discussion also highlights the relationship between the oppression of women and the destruction of the natural world and the parallel between the mainstream environmental movement and the mainstream feminist movement.

The Fat-Burning Man Show by Abel James: The Future of Health & Performance
This week's show is with one impressive woman, Lierre Keith. Lierre has been a highly requested guest for a while now, and I think this show is going to show you exactly why. Lierre is the author of "The Vegetarian Myth," plus she is a farmer and an activist. She has a great story about not only how she personally transitioned away from veganism, but also how her story can help others to realize when food choices aren't working for them. In this week's show we talk about: Why being a vegan may be harmful for your health. How agriculture broke the planet and made us fat and sick. What we can do to reclaim our health and save the world. And lots more! The problem is actually agriculture, it is THE most destructive thing people have done to the planet. - Lierre Keith *Click to Tweet!
