This is a teaser for a podcast available on the Ani-Gamers Patreon. To celebrate Patron Appreciation Month 2024, for the first time EVER the entire current Ani-Gamers staff — Evan, David, Inaki, and Pat — host a podcast together to discuss the cult favorite 2004 action video game Metal Wolf Chaos! A game about defending America's freedoms, gassing the entire city of Chicago, and fighting three basketball players in mech suits. It‘s also a From Software video game, so our Pro-From faction (David and Pat) face off against our Anti-From faction (Evan and Inaki). You don't want to miss this one! Episode 159 is: a discussion with Justin about the fantastic narrative horror game Decarnation - some thoughts on good storytelling in video games - a few random observations on topics including Metal Wolf Chaos, Afroman and mispronouncing words

So, it turns out Tom hasn't seen anything at all about Final Fantasy Origin: Stranger of Paradise. So if you would like to hear Tom's live reaction to the bizarre trailers starring main edgelord Jack Garland, that's here in this podcast! We've also got talk about Amazon Luna, sorta talking about the Sony State of Play, and finally getting into Sin and Punishment, a Treasure game which we now very much recognize as EXTREMELY TREASURE. It's good, but it is Metal Wolf Chaos levels of "what is happening?" anime nonsense, which makes it both better and worse. For our final Americana week, we take back the nation from the clutches of a renegade Vice President in Metal Wolf Chaos! Before Demon's souls and Dark Souls, was From Software able to make this absurd concept work, or is it little more than a crazy idea with poor execution? This is a huge episode, as we have some MAJOR announcements which some of you may not believe. We also review the Playstation 5, and laugh at Aunty Donna's Big 'Ol House of Fun. Plus, we check in on Andrews existential conflict with Civilization 6. Support this podcast

Oh boy! In a bumper episode, hear the trio chop through a massive stack of games they've played recently, as well as their usual three listed all-time favourites! Would you like to know our thoughts on The World Next Door, Metal Wolf Chaos, or Forager? How about Ni No Kuni and its sequel, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, or Bloodstained? Maybe Ring Fit Adventure, Luigi's Mansion 3, or Pokémon Sword and / or Shield? Or even the varied entries in the Cube Escape series of mobile games? For this week's numbered entries, Minty goes for a splash with the Gamecube's legendary Wind Waker and regales its avian-come-oceanic story with the gusto of a Jackanory presenter; Chris shoots some baddies with a plastic pistol and a bulky cathode ray tube television in the fantastic home port of Time Crisis 2; and Jonathan goes deep on the late Clover Studio's ridiculously stylish whack-em-up Viewtiful Joe. (big deep breath) So come along and enjoy some of O3C's most impressive expletive bleeping, some silly callbacks for long term fans, everyone's favourite Pokémon, 'Floopididoop', as well as a LOT of curry.

On this week's show, Jody tells us about his time with From Software's old American mecha satire, Metal Wolf Chaos. Tyler has a lot to say about his recent hands-on session with Borderlands 3. And everyone joins in for a reflection on how much PC gaming has changed. It has changed, turns out!
Xbox says it may allow its first-party studios to make games for all platforms, loot box drop rates will need to be disclosed going forward, and Death Stranding isn’t a PlayStation 4 exclusive apparently. Josh has been playing more than he'd probably like of the remastered Metal Wolf Chaos, whilst Imogen’s been watering her plant in Seeds of Change. ► www.videogamer.com for all your news, reviews, videos and features on video games! The boys and special guest Asif Khan gather 'round the proverbial campfire and bloviate about Super Mario Maker 2 for the majority of today's show. Then, we collectively salivate at the prospect of finally playing Metal Wolf Chaos XD, a FromSoftware joint that never made its way west back when it released on the original Xbox. It is, after all, July 4th here in the States and with that comes a heavy dose of Texas-sized (capital P) Patriotism. So, sit back and relax as we salute the Great American Video Game. Fanfics read: Patriotic Fever (by YellowBox) Garfield of the Galaxy Infinity Wars (by ShakespeareHemmingway) Right and Honourable (by MakenBabehs) Readers: Stevo, David, Logan, Shawn, Val, Wolfboy, Sir Splee HAPPY EXPLOSIONS, FIREWORKS, BEER AND FREEDOM DAY! To celebrate July 4th (as well as a belated Canada day), Wolfboy and Sir Splee join the regular crew to read a trio of questionably patriotic stories. We start with a crossover between Fallout and Metal Wolf Chaos with Patriotic Fever. We would have instated a rule to drink for the words America, President, and Freedom, but we like the idea of living. Those darn Coup de tas forces! Following that, we read what may be the most American thing ever: Garfield crossing over into the Marvel universe with Garfield of the Galaxy Infinity Wars. After getting super hungry from all the lasagna in that story, we wrap up with a political fanfic featuring Justin Trudeau and some other Canadian politicians we're unfamiliar with because we're awful people in Right and Honourable (excessive u's are SO unamericana by the offspring). Butts were shown, French was decimated, and we all should collectively hang our heads in shame. But don't because we don't have any. Thanks as always to our Patrons, friends, and fans! Apologies for the audio quality this week. We did it in person with only one mic. Sean is back in Canada and hanging with the bois. He's been playing more Mario Tennis Aces and starts up the Mario+Rabbids DK DLC. Jon finishes Metal Wolf Chaos. For news we run down all the free games that Twitch is giving out this month, Crash sale figures in the UK, and Amazon Prime getting worse for buying discounted games. Enjoy the show?
