Bound Together by GraceNo one chooses the road of suffering, but sometimes God allows fellow travelers to ease the way. That was true for the Maxwell and White families. When their stories were marked by separate tragedies in 2025, they found themselves walking similar paths of loss, recovery, faith, and hope. Along the way, they discovered the strength of Christian community and the comfort that comes when God's people carry one another's burdens. On January 29, 2025, Dean and Merav Maxwell lost their daughter, Grace, a Cedarville University student, in the American Airlines crash over the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. Just weeks later, on March 9, fellow Cedarville student Judah White was aboard a private plane that crashed shortly after takeoff in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. All five on board — Judah, his parents Matt and Trish, along with his sister Aliyah and her friend — survived, but both Judah and Matt sustained severe injuries that led to months of surgeries, recovery, and rehabilitation. While the circumstances differed, both families suddenly found themselves relying on the Lord — and each other — in ways they never imagined.Though one family was grieving a devastating loss and the other was facing a long road to recovery, both found themselves sustained by God's faithfulness expressed through His people.Family and friends carried much of the day-to-day burden, showing up with meals, helping hands, and willing hearts. Churches prayed and stood beside them through long and difficult days. Meanwhile, a wave of encouragement flowed from people they had never met, including Cedarville students, alumni, faculty, staff, and parents. For the Maxwells, much of that support came through stories about Grace.Grace was tenacious, disciplined, and exceptionally bright. An engineering student with a quick wit and a deep love for learning, she could have attended many universities, but she chose Cedarville because she wanted a place where she could grow in her faith while pursuing academic excellence. As they navigated grief and recovery, the two families found encouragement from one another. Their connection grew through the Cedarville community that had united around them, first in mourning the loss of Grace and then in praying for Judah and his family after the Lancaster crash. Together, they found strength in the prayers and support surrounding them.Recently, Dean, Merav, and Trish reflected on that journey during the Cedarville Stories podcast, sharing how God met them in difficult days through the faithfulness of His people. The road has not been easy. Yet both families have seen God's hand through the kindness of friends, the faithfulness of family, and the encouragement of a University community that cared enough to reach out, even from afar. Their story is a reminder that God often brings comfort through fellow travelers and that even in life's hardest moments, He remains faithful.https://share.transistor.fm/s/c4148f56https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOb7nGa1bV4
Dr. Jenni Skyler and Daniel Lebowitz sit down with Zach and Sally Maxwell, relationship thought leaders, executive coaches, and co-founders of The Art of Conscious Love, for a conversation that will change how you think about romance. Together since they were 18, the Maxwells have built a modern relationship framework around a radical premise: love is not something you fall into. It's something you practice. They walk through their eight-pillar approach to conscious relationships covering personal accountability, inner narratives, transparency, desire, conflict resolution, and the art of consciously designing your own monogamy. A masterclass in what it actually takes to make love last. https://www.max-wellcoaching.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/sally-swallow-maxwell/ sally@max-wellcoaching.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Who were the women who worked with Jeffrey Epstein? In Part I of this series, we look at Ghislaine Maxwell, transnational crime royalty as the daughter of MI6/Mossad double-agent and disgraced British media mogul Robert Maxwell, whose dying wish was to connect Maxwell with a young upstart in New York named Epstein. Joining this discussion are investigative filmmaker Dave Pederson, the producer of the anti-corruption documentaries Americonned and Super Size Me, and OSINT expert Patrick Duggan who created a searchable database of the Epstein files before the DOJ could delete them. We also discuss the analysis by investigative journalist Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez that Maxwell was Epstein's handler in an intelligence long-game going back to the O.S.S., predecessor to the C.I.A. Important historical context to our discussion: In 2011, then FBI Director Robert Mueller gave the "Iron Triangles" speech, revealing that transnational crime today works like an industry: fancy Western institutions like banks, law firms, and PR firms launder the money and reputations of shadowy crime and rogue intelligence syndicates, who are further served by their paid-off political operatives and politicians. In the speech, Mueller promised to crack down on the head of the Russian mafia, Semion Mogilevich, nicknamed the "boss of all bosses." Instead, Mogilevich was mysteriously taken off of the FBI's Most Wanted List in 2015, at a time the FBI was busting Russian spy rings in New York City, including Kremlin recruitment of college girls, including one Andrea may have encountered at a foreign policy event. A year later, Donald Trump, after decades of financial dealings with dirty Russian money, would be elected president with the Kremlin's illegal help. The 2016 election was a transnational coup decades in the making. In 1999, a high-level U.S. source leaked to the New York Times, undermining a sensitive intelligence operation between the FBI and MI6 to close-in on Russian mafia infiltration in the West, especially Mogilevich. In reporting from that time, The Guardian wrote: "Author Jeffrey Robinson - whose latest book, The Merger, was published by Simon and Schuster last week - says that organised criminals such as Mogilevich are enjoying massive success using Harvard Business School techniques. 'Mogilevich typifies the new global criminal,' says Robinson. 'These men don't rob banks, they buy them. They take full advantage of globalisation, ill-equipped law enforcement and lax money-laundering laws - especially in Britain - using the City of London as their onshore gateway to the offshore world. 'This case is the tip of the iceberg. The City is an absolute cesspool and it will remain a cesspool because the people in charge don't care. Mogilevich is not the only one, the Bank of New York is not the only place." Russian oligarchs are the Russian military industrial complex. Mogilevich oversees "weapons trafficking, contract murders, extortion, drug trafficking, and prostitution on an international scale," according to the FBI. It would be easy to buy-off U.S. officials, like the FBI's Charles McGonigal who was paid with our tax dollars to fight the Russian mafia, but was instead on their payroll. Intelligence agencies in the U.S. – the FBI and the CIA – have faced virtually no oversight and accountability for most of their existence, leading to the explosive Church Committee Congressional hearings, exposing that the CIA and FBI were involved in covert mind control experiments, illegal coups and science fiction-style assassination programs, and violent infiltration of political opposition groups on U.S. soil. You can learn more about that in our recent episode on the Church Committee Report – in the show notes. Listen to Part I now. Part II will be out this Thursday as Gaslit Nation's Bonus Show, with a continued discussion of the women who worked with Epstein, and what they may reveal about the Iron Triangles that illegally helped bring a Russian asset/traitor to power. So Who Was? https://alisav.substack.com/p/epstein-likely-wasnt-the-boss-so February 5, 2026 from The Times: "Jeffrey Epstein was introduced to Ghislaine Maxwell by her brother Kevin as part of a plan for the paedophile financier to help the Maxwell family "move money", according to a previously undisclosed account of the origins of the scandal. Kevin Maxwell, once Britain's biggest bankrupt, was "instructed to meet Epstein by his father", Robert Maxwell, according to FBI records of conversations with a former business associate of the Maxwells that have been released by the US Department of Justice. Kevin later introduced Ghislaine to Epstein and was responsible for placing her office in New York near Epstein after Robert Maxwell's death in 1991, the business associate is said to have claimed. Kevin allegedly negotiated an "understanding" with Epstein and Ghislaine whereby Epstein "would become involved in the Maxwell financial affairs". https://www.thetimes.com/article/0b5bfceb-3c2a-4ffa-aa2f-74e38a395a1e US charges Russian 'spies' suspected of trying to recruit New Yorkers https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jan/26/us-charges-alleged-russian-spies-new-york Traitors in the FBI https://www.gaslitnationpod.com/episodes/traitors-in-the-fbi/ "Donald Barr's 26-page O.S.S. file, obtained from the National Archives, gives a detailed account of his transition from the military to intelligence work. What is Donald Trump really hiding in the Epstein files? Investigative journalist and author Greg Olear joins Matt Robison for a deep dive into the underreported connections between Jeffrey Epstein, Russian organized crime, intelligence agencies, dark money networks, and Donald Trump. Most people think the Epstein story is simply about sex trafficking. Greg argues it was much bigger than that: a sprawling global network involving money laundering, oligarchs, kompromat, intelligence operations, and some of the most powerful people in the world.Drawing from his explosive new book Another Wonderful Secret: Infrequently Asked Questions About Jeffrey Epstein, Olear explains why Trump may still be desperately trying to suppress the Epstein files — and why the real story may have less to do with sex scandals and more to do with corruption, hidden money, and geopolitical influence. This conversation explores:Epstein's role as a financial fixer and “connector”Russian mob boss Semion Mogilevich and the Russian mafia connectionRobert Maxwell, Ghislaine Maxwell, and intelligence tiesTrump's long history with Russian money and oligarchsWhy the FBI and DOJ may still be protecting explosive informationHow kompromat and elite influence networks actually workThe hidden architecture of modern kleptocracyWhether Epstein's infrastructure still exists todayWhy this story matters for democracy itself0:00 Intro — The Epstein story most people are missing1:10 Epstein as fixer, money mover, and intelligence connector2:15 Why the Epstein files are still being suppressed3:05 America's slide toward kleptocracy3:45 Greg Olear joins the show4:25 Was Epstein more than a sex trafficker?5:20 Dalton School, Bear Stearns, and Epstein's rise8:00 The hidden importance of the 1980s8:45 Arms deals, offshore money, and intelligence agencies10:10 Ehud Barak and intelligence connections11:20 How Epstein became indispensable to powerful people14:00 Epstein's networking power and elite access15:30 Enter the Russian connection16:05 Who was Semion Mogilevich?17:15 Robert Maxwell, organized crime, and trafficking networks19:20 Why Epstein's real business may have been dirty money20:05 Trump, Russia, and 1980s money laundering21:15 Did Trump know the Maxwells earlier than reported?22:10 Trump and Epstein become intertwined23:10 Trust-washing through elite connections25:10 Why Trump's Russia ties are not really disputed26:15 Was Epstein a Russian asset?27:15 How Epstein accumulated elite secrets28:10 The scale of Epstein's financial operations29:15 Suspicious transactions and hidden wealth31:00 Kompromat and control32:15 The power Epstein gained from knowing secrets33:05 JPMorgan, Jess Staley, and financial protection35:15 What is Trump really afraid of in the Epstein files?37:00 Theories about what could still be hidden39:30 Allegations involving Trump and minors41:00 The Katie Johnson allegations explained43:10 ICE threats and intimidation patterns44:00 Does Epstein's infrastructure still exist today?45:00 Jared Kushner and modern influence networks47:00 “Coincidence theory” vs conspiracy theory48:00 Who was really calling the shots?49:00 Where does this story go next?50:15 Global authoritarianism and shifting alliances51:10 What intelligence agencies may still know52:00 Why understanding corruption matters53:15 Signs authoritarians may be hitting resistance54:20 Trump's growing political vulnerabilities55:00 Greg Olear's new book and closing thoughts
brianturnershow.com, eastvillageradio.comRichard Langston, author of the new Clean biography In The Dreamlife You Need a Rubber Soul, joins The Brian Turner Show. The two will be chatting extensively about this brilliant band's 1978-2016 life, which was punctuated by periods on inactivity but inevitably continual returns that netted them deep and dedicated international fandom. Founded by brothers Hamish and David Kilgour, initial rotating lineups traversed their New Zealand homeland with budget tours, met with degrees of alienation from the established Auckland punk scene. Their psychedelic pastiche contained deep love of Barrett, The Beatles, Velvets, Hendrix, and Arthur Lee, which showed in their rudimentary DIY ethic; a heady formula out of fashionable step and thus triggering retreat back to their Dunedin hometown. However, surprise success of their first single hitting the top 20 trigged a great leap forward for not only the Kilgours (now joined by future Bats founder Robert Scott), but a newfound communal scene in The Clean's wake that launched not only the Flying Nun label but a score of kindred spirit groups. They eventually achieved notoriety internationally despite periods of pause, and massively influenced a big slab of American indie rock units as well. Langston chronicles the great heights of this band live and on record with dutiful shoutouts to those in their circles who helped elevate them. As the police investigation into Andrew Mountbatten Windsor continues, his friend Ghislaine Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for her role in the heinous crimes of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. But as the final Epstein files are released to the public, a haunting question remains: has she become a “convenient stand-in” for a dead man while other high-profile figures walk free?In this exclusive episode of The Daily T, Camilla Tominey and Tim Stanley are joined in the studio by Ghislaine's brother Ian Maxwell, who is a consistent and vocal defender of his sister.Ian discusses the family's belief that Ghislaine has been selectively prosecuted as a scapegoat, why she invoked the Fifth Amendment before the US house oversight committee and the reality behind her plea to President Donald Trump.Ian also speaks about his sister's life behind bars, the “suspicious” deaths of both Epstein and the Maxwells' father Robert, and why he doesn't believe it matters if the infamous photograph of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor with Virginia Giuffre is real or not.We want to hear from you! Just to clarify, we're not talking about a bear succeeding at being chosen over a man in the woods. We mean the show! The Bear continues to be a favorite at TV award shows, and this year is no different. Naturally, your hosts talked about it. But first, they took a look at the show that rivalled it last year with just as many Enny wins. Succession. Your favorite hosts are joined by Professor of Race, Gender and Sexuality at Simmons University, Suzanne Leonard. The crew takes a moment to acknowledge the SAG nominees. We love when deserving people get their flowers. With The Bear being nominated, the crew decides to talk MASKulinity in the show, but first, they talk about a previous winner that reminds us all a bit too much of real life: Succession.Samantha takes us through some interesting facts about the family that Succession is based on.Suzanne lets us know what attracts her about the show. Are you a bit voyeuristic like her and Samantha are when it comes to this show? What is it about miserable rich people that draws our attention? With a quick synopsis of Succession, Samantha breaks down the similarities between the Fox News Murdochs and their fictional counterparts.. A power struggle between a father and his children for the head seat of the company, something that provides a particular comment on fatherhood, power, and MASKulinity in our current social and political moment. Why are we talking about this show? Suzanne and Samantha apprise Remoy of why it's helpful for us to dissect this type of patriarchal leadership.Suzanne makes an important note on mourning traditional media, which feels like it might be dying out, but is it?So much political, economic, and social power is concentrated in families with Murdochs, Trumps, and Maxwells, it's worth examining the BTS of these powerful families through this show.Exactly how powerful are these nepotistic families? The crew runs down the list of the Murdochs' empire and their impactful media (and legal) history and MASKulinity.SPOILER ALERT: Samantha presents some scenes from Succession for Remoy to react to. Suzanne weighs in.The fatherhood that Logan Roy displays can be mapped onto Trump's leadership of both his family and the US as a country: we sustain his legacy.Wielding real power and setting the tone for men's MASKulinity both in their families and in our larger society are staples of the all-powerful patriarchs.Suzanne highlights the ruthlessness of the powerful masculinity in the fatherhood displayed and how damaging it is to people around the folks who perform that masculinity. It is reflected in all these clips. Remoy makes a poignant point about America's need for a father figure running the country. The crew continues on to discuss crowd favorite, The Bear. Remoy points out that if Shrinking is the best way to deal with MASKulinity's woes, and Succession is the most toxic, The Bear falls somewhere in the middle.Remoy provides a great synopsis of the show, highlighting how differently it deals with masculinity compared to Succession. We examine the relationships stemming from Carmy's newfound leadership.Carmy and Syd's relationship represents a great mixed-gender leadership collaboration for this show. Richie's evolution as a person as well as the rest of the cast's reflected the power of a connected leadership. The Bear deals with mental health in an immensely different way from Succession. Carmy relies on those around him to get better while Kendall schemes while wielding power as his father does. The Bear chronicles changing dynamics in a workplace as does Succession. The three draw out the differences and few similarities between masculinities in the two shows.Suzanne highlights how class creates a different landscape than the opulent SuccessionIn our deep dive, Suzanne shares some great nuggets in her research on gender in powerful structures. We dive into questions about how family structures impacted our recent election of an all-powerful patriarch. We get into how women hold up these power structures. Suzanne's research has looked at how women's own power is garnered through all-powerful couples.Suzanne makes points on whiteness and how racial hierarchies impact this all-powerful dynamic.OK, now we're really outta here! See you soonish!
Last year, when we had Chef Erling Wu-Bower on the pod, Maxwells hadn't opened yet — the concept was brimming with promise, but its mettle was yet untested. After a year of service, there's no denying how much the spot is thriving, and it's in large part to this week's guest — Josh Tilden, Chef Erling's front-of-house counterpart. Josh is an engineering major-turned hospitality maestro, whose methodical approach and attention to the finer points have made him an indispensable member of the Chicago dining community. He joins us to tell us about the inception of Maxwells, give us a tour of their inspiring space, talk Shaw's lore, and so much more.
On this episode of the Blended Kingdom Families Podcast, Scott and Vanessa are joined by Dr. Michael and Tracey Maxwell. Dr. Maxwell is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Tracey is an Independent Health Coach, together they discuss the complexities of blending families, remarriage, parenting, and maintaining a firm foundation centered on Christ. Discover practical tips for building and maintaining strong family relationships with biological and bonus children, balancing cultural differences, and persevering in the face of family challenges. Whether you're newly blending or an empty nester, this episode offers hope, encouragement, and actionable strategies from the Maxwells, a thriving blended family.
Julieta Campos, General Manager of Maxwells Trading, joins Jon Hansen, filling in for Lisa Dent, to talk about the restaurant’s placement on Esquire’s yearly list. Campos attributes their success to a great work culture in their kitchen that makes it way to the plate for their customers to experience.
Rob is joined by ex-footballer and commentator Mark Lawrenson in this episode. Mark talks about what it was like to work for and then be axed by the BBC, the reasons he believes so many of his fellow presenters were axed and also reveals a shocking story around the Maxwells and Robert Maxwell's murder. Rob and Mark also discuss why they feel the UK has gone soft, the impact big money and financing has made to football and more incredible stories from his career as a footballer and presenter. Mark Lawrenson Reveals: Why the BBC Sacked him The differences between male and female football Why TV and the country has gone ‘too soft' What it was like to play for Liverpool Why being told he couldn't play football drove him to his ultimate success The negative impact of big money and finance on football A shocking story surrounding Maxwell's alleged murder by Mossad BEST MOMENTS “Really good [football] commentary makes a huge difference” “The country is knackered” "Bob Paisley comes down from upstairs, takes him a couple of minutes and everything. Walks in. Complete hush, respect... Where's Alan Kennedy? And one of the lads had gone, 'Oh, he's over here.' So, Bob strolled over and looked at him, and he said, 'Do you know what, Alan? They shot the wrong fucking Kennedy.'" "I'd get slaughtered sometimes, fair enough, doesn't particularly bother me. And then I'd meet somebody and then they say to me, 'Oh you're completely different from what you, when you're commentating,' and I go, 'No I'm not. I'm just the same.'" "One of the problems with the BBC was that they don't really understand things like you've been a footballer and sometimes you get left out. And you get taken off the pitch. And it's as though they can't tell you the bad news." "My biggest disruption was my mum leaving us... We never knew. My mum always said to us, 'You, I'll never tell you what happened, but you would have done the same thing.'" "Robert Maxwell owns Derby, Kevin Maxwell owns Oxford... He looked at me and he said, 'What's your problem?' I imagine that, and it just all came out, and I called him every name under the sun. And he looked at me, and he went, 'I quite like you actually.'” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team Episode Sponsor - AG1 Claim your exclusive offer of AG1 at the link below drinkag1.com/disruptors ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Transcript: bit.ly/AIAe054-1VOLORES' debut album, AGES, explores universal themes of life, love, and death through dark indie rock, stylish post-punk motifs, and disarmingly frank lyricism. The Colorado-based couple – Flogging Molly bassist Nathen Maxwell and his singer-songwriter wife Shelby – lightheartedly dub their singular sound “mountain goth.”Organic, haunting, and relentlessly authentic, VOLORES' broad appeal lies in its raw channeling of the mortal condition, including mental health struggles, that they've not only experienced, but experienced together. Simple, yet effortlessly beautiful, AGES celebrates the shared musical passions that brought the Maxwells together – from Leonard Cohen and Elliot Smith to The Cure and Interpol – through unfiltered expressions that cast deeply personal shadows in plain sight, coated only in intuitive melody and elegant songcraft.VOLORES (voloresband.com)
