In the first half, as multiple fires raged in Southern California, author and documentary filmmaker Douglas Mulhall discussed how to recover from wildfires and avoid the pervasive presence of toxins associated with them. There has been an alarming rise in wildfires across the United States, he said, noting that "we're experiencing periods of extreme rain and extreme drought interspersed with each other, creating instability in the local climate." The conversation also touched on the human factor behind many fires, including arson, but Mulhall pointed out that utility companies are often at fault, as seen in the Lahaina fire. "Tens of billions of dollars in lawsuits have been launched against at least 20 major power providers across the country for causing these fires," he stated.Mulhall urged listeners to take proactive steps to protect themselves during wildfire evacuations, advising people to get water, air purifiers, masks, and new filters for their heating and AC systems (as well as for vehicles) and prepare emotionally for the devastation they might return to. He emphasized the importance of being ready for the health impacts of smoke and ash, which can persist long after the fires are out. Discussing insurance, he warned that many people may find their wildfire coverage limited, so they should check and review their policies carefully. Citing the Lahaina fire, he reported that one house survived the blaze due to features like a metal roof and a defensible space free of vegetation, including a rock garden surrounding the house. For more on wildfire issues, check out this special page Mullhall created with helpful links.------------In the latter half, ghost hunter Courtney McInvale spoke about ghosts uncovered from the Civil War, Confederate spirits, and the historic places from which they lived when alive. She delved into the haunting history of Andersonville in Georgia, a notorious Confederate prison also known as Camp Sumter, that has been described as a "hellhole on Earth" where over 13,000 soldiers died from disease and malnutrition. She reported that Capt. Henry Wirz, who was charged with war crimes after the war and executed, is said to haunt the Andersonville location.McInvale shared a chilling ghost story involving Father Whelan, a priest who administered last rites to dying soldiers at Camp Sumter. A tourist had come to the prison and saw a shadowy figure on the road, who approached him and said, "Sir, I need to administer your last rites." The man became frightened, and as he moved away, he ended up running right through the apparition. An employee of the national park that houses the prison said that the spirit of Whelan continues to haunt the site. When asked what creates these ghostly tales, McInvale reflected, "The tragedy of a life cut short... the fear of being forgotten." She emphasized that many soldiers died young, leaving behind unfulfilled lives and legacies, and their trauma may open up a kind of portal or "time slip" for the ghostly phenomena. Focusing on the Battle of Chickamauga, she described the conflict as a "terrible destruction" with over 30,000 casualties in just two days. The battlefield location of Snodgrass Hill, where bodies piled up, is said to be particularly haunted. She is launching "Southern Shadows," a series of haunted history tours in Georgia, inspired by the significant events in Chickamauga.

Art Bell - Douglas Mulhall - Nanotechnology
In the first half, journalist, author, and documentary filmmaker Douglas Mulhall discussed the pervasive presence of heavy metals in our environment and their alarming effects on human health, particularly in children. He explained that heavy metals like lead, arsenic, and cadmium are integral to various industries, noting, "Our contemporary industry actually depends on these heavy metals," and that is why they are pretty much everywhere in our lives. He highlighted the alarming fact that these metals can enter our food systems through fertilizers, air pollution, and even cigarette smoke, and how they may be linked to cancer, heart disease, neurological issues, and Alzheimer's.One of the most shocking revelations was the presence of heavy metals in baby foods. "It's absolutely outrageous that these have not been regulated," Mulhall lamented. He encouraged parents to stay informed, mentioning that a new California law requires manufacturers to publicly disclose heavy metal testing results, which could serve as a model for nationwide standards. He recommended natural remedies that can help detoxify the body, including cilantro which is effective in removing heavy metals, particularly mercury and lead, while garlic, onions, leafy greens, broccoli sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, green tea, turmeric, and flax seeds can also aid in detoxification. He urged listeners to be proactive about their health, endorsing air and water filtration systems to minimize exposure.----------------In the latter half, clairvoyant and energy master Michael Monk shared his profound journey into spirituality that propelled him into a life dedicated to exploring healing, astral projection, and spiritual mastery. He recounted a pivotal experience in 1999, in which he felt a presence that opened up his inner vision. Monk identified this presence as God, and subsequently, he developed healing and telekinetic abilities. He described astral projection as a "remembrance and integration" of our true spiritual nature, and noted that everyone experiences out-of-body moments during sleep, though many do not recall them.He reassured listeners about the safety of astral or out-of-body travel, stating, "Getting back in is easy... the trick is learning how to stay out." According to Monk, the benefits of astral projection include a deeper understanding of one's multi-dimensional existence and a personal connection with God, as well as recreational possibilities. In his astral travels, he asks God where to go, and "Sometimes it'll travel me through the stars and put me on another planet. Sometimes it'll dimensionally shift to a whole different type of realm altogether." Time has a different sense in which "you could have a three-hour long out-of-body experience and come back and realize that only five minutes has passed here."

Interview with author, entrepreneur and researcher Douglas Mulhall. Interview #2. Interview #1 was The Zen of Longevity .Could we be more successful while improving our health and living much longer, by reversing the effects of something called hidden stress? My guest today says yes. This isn't the normal stress that we hear about; It comes from the water we drink, the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the consumer products and vehicles that we use. According to the American Heart Association, it affects all of us. Douglas Mulhall has written a best-selling book on this, Discovering the Nature of Longevity: Restoring the heart and body by targeting hidden stress. It's recommended by the American Institute of Stress and includes a Foreword by Columbia University's Chief of Cardiology. It celebrates the pioneers who pursued their convictions about taking a different approach to solving chronic health problems. Douglas spent decades teaching experts how to create healthy products and buildings that protect people from this stress, and the award-winning certification from the institute he works with is recognized by the USEPA. He also co-founded Elastrin Therapeutics, a biotech company that restores the damage from this stress in a new and imaginative way. He's also a researcher at two universities and an internationally accredited expert on the topic.https://www.natureoflongevity.com/
