Happy 2023! Enjoy our first episode of the year! Starting off with a ridiculous round of "Classic Pair", followed by Mason's extreme creative constipation, and finished off with Daniel's unreasonably difficult "That Song Where...".

TECHNO - DEEP & DUB TECHNO CTAFAD | Chinese Dj/Producer based in Osaka, Japan. Electronic musician, guitarist, he is a very active Chinese composer. He started learning to play guitar at the age of fourteen and then set up a punk band, which became the catalyst for him to open the music gate. Settled in Beijing in 1999, then began the research and creation, electronic music and punk band legend in China "underground baby" as the band music arranger and guitarist, at the same time began to dabble in Fashion Show, movies, drama and jingles. For the first time in 2003 in China's famous record company in the name Of Sulumi "modern sky" albums "Air Inhibition Of Water", this is his first formal experimental electronic music show, the original technique to build a new music, present a different way to express the heart. In the same period, he also created the personal music label "Shanshui Records", and published dozens of electronic music Records in 10 years. Together with many domestic and foreign electronic musicians, the independence and music parallelism, promote the Chinese electronic music revolution. In the next few years, I began to explore the Chiptune style. Using Game Boy and Nanoloop music software, it is known as "China's 8bit first person" and its music is deeply popular. In 2008, he was invited to the "Blip Festival", the world's largest electronic music festival in New York. In the meantime, the music of this period is more mature and shows the spirit of Chiptune music. After that, people from all circles are attracted to it.The publication of "The Heaven" has made his personal music career leap.He has made a series of Remix works, including the Brain Failure, New Pants, The Gar, EeL, Jeans Team, Snoop Lion, Kid606 and Zaliva-d. In all Remix works, he has his own unique style. In 2013, Shanshui Records was reorganized, based on Ambient music and the minimalist Techno style. Integrated with rock attitude, world view and modern consciousness, the melody is transformed into a melody, abstracting consciousness and hiding the pursuit. He then moved to Japan and released his new album "Unconsciousness" by VICE CHINA in 2015. Bring new sound concepts and melodies -- more and more steady rhythm and dark line of melody line, always around the rock core stealthily, music melody avoids joy and sorrow. Unbiased, moving in time. Around the album tour held in several cities in China, he put his signature style to the new dimension of performance and deep inside the body sound in the dark with the light, guide you to return to the real world. After several metamorphoses, to explore different Spaces. He announced the new musician plan - CTAFAD.In music, you can hear "there's not a lot of modified original timbre, like atmospheric pressure, ambitious ultrasound experiments. Finally, an epic core sound field is carefully polished. The rhythm and the bass line from the beginning is proficient in the interaction, gradually unfolded and never went out. We all take translation and translators for granted these days. There are now apps on your phone that can translate inputted text, can magically convert text within photos, and can even simultaneously translate audio as you're speaking. But once you listen to Gigi Chang talk about the philosophy behind her work translating literary texts, you'll know that there can be no substitute to the human touch. If you've worked in any kind of international arena, you will have had some experience in having work translated, be it for marketing slogans, short texts, or longer pieces. So I hope that listening to this episode will give you a broader appreciation of the process behind it.Gigi Chang's object: A clipboard. Gigi Chang: Her first experience in translating literary texts was when she worked with Chinese artists being showcased at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, in the run-up to the Beijing Olympic Games. Gigi Chang: Working on Jin Yong's “Legends of the Condor Hero” was the ultimate challenge in translating ancient kung fu training techniques from Chinese into English. Gigi Chang: A display of her translated works at the Kinokuniya bookstore in Singapore. Gigi Chang: Translating can be a lonesome task, so where possible she enjoys working in a team. Chief and Chris are back with another rip roaring episode of Talking Joe. This week the boys see what the Joes are doing post the Cobra Civil War (hint - it's not good goings on), the Jugglers make their move and we're not talking circus hijinks, Joes pose as Ruskies and Ruskies pose as Joes and finally Roadblock dons a bowler hat and pinstripes! It can only mean one thing. You've guessed it, issues 77-78 of ARAH and 9-10 of Special Missions! On top of all that, this episode sees the long awaited return of Inside Chief's Mind and Chief asks Chris a Question. Plus.....a new segment in the form of Chris Talks Toys! We spoil you, we really do.
Episode 17 of the NüVoices Podcast is here! This week, Alice Xin Liu is joined by co-host Zhāng Líjīa 张丽佳. The two interviewed Zōu Shuǎng 邹爽, a director and playwright. As of 2018, she was made the artistic director of the Beijing Music Festival, following in the footsteps of legendary conductor Maestro Yú Lóng 余隆. She was recently nominated at the 2019 International Opera Awards in London in the Newcomer category for her work as a director. Coming from a musical household, Shuǎng had always been interested in performance art. The three dive into her past - first as a student in London, and her introduction to the world of opera as a director’s assistant. After returning to Beijing, she tried her hand at the formidable task of adapting European works of musical theater for Chinese audiences, the younger crowd in particular. Nowadays, she spends divides her time between the U.K. and China, working across different mediums, genres and cultures. In the self-care and recommendations section, Alice recommends the band “New Pants”, or xīn kùzi 新裤子 and their song I Love You, Wǒ Aì Nǐ 我爱你. Líjīa recommends City of Lies: Love, Sex, Death, and the Search for Truth in Tehran by Ramita Navai. To end this episode, Shuǎng recommends Miracles of Life by J.G. Ballard and the album Sleep by Max Richter.
Injured but not broken, Bush and Richie are back with stories of milkmen, dentists and liquid menus.

Šįkart pasirinkau Kinijos kūrėjus, išsikovojusius ir užsienio klausytojų simpatijas - Nova Heart, New Pants, Carsick Car, Illness Sickness.
