Hello Metal heads. This week's show is a example of "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE" The collaboration between Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, co-founder of KISS and serial entrepreneur Gene Simmons and partners Paul Janik Jr., John Janik , began with a chance meeting at Cleveland's “Wizard World” convention. The long time KISS fans were in attendance with the hope of meeting their rock Idol, who was a featured guest at the convention. John and Paul struck up a soda-centric conversation with the music legend. Simmons asked for their card, and a week later, Paul received a call from Simmons. John and Paul explain ,in detail, the chain of events from inception to delivery of the soda. HOW the collaboration with Gene blossomed from a business venture to a true personal friendship. They relive stories of traveling with KISS , befriending Paul Stanley, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer . There are fun antidotes of hanging out at soundchecks as well meeting Gene's wife Shannon as guests at their California home. “We never dreamed it would be possible to work with someone we have idolized for decades. Gene is the ultimate entrepreneur and a very engaged business partner,” said Paul. “We are honored to have had the opportunity to develop such a rock star-worthy product for soda lovers to enjoy and fans to collect.” “Paul and John have an impeccable work ethic, as well as a prowess in the premium soft drink marketplace,” said Simmons. This is a great story and exemplifies that anything is possible as long as you take a chance and go for it. This is soda royalty! Closing out PRIDE 2022 Chris Garneau is a New York Based multi instrumental vocalist. His work is anything outside of that cookie cutter sound. I found his music really deep, reflective, and crossing so many genres. Imagine Brian Eno conducting the bar band from Twin Peaks, with Leonard Cohen on vocals, and you are in the general idea of Chris Garneau's music. I was unable to pin it down, and just enjoyed where it took me. We discussed his music, family relationships, farming, and strange poses in making videos. I also accidentally stubled on some closure for some own personal grief I got to resolve, only because he was the flipside of it all. This is by far the heaviest conversation I have ever had with a musician. His new work is intense, and I really wonder what you all will think of it. webstite instagram soundcloud facebook #chrisgarneau #pride2022 #leonardcohen #gonzomusicjournalism #gaysingers

We had a fabulous chat with Donna Green in Utopia Gallery, Waterloo, surrounded by her beautiful exhibition, Vessel, which is on at the gallery from 2nd April - 30th April. Go have a look at these amazing ceramics, collages, and drawings, all speaking to each other in a visceral way. We talked to Donna about living in New York, how she came to ceramics, the technicalities of making her work, being a woman in the art world, and all things art! What a lovely woman, talented, humble, and forging new paths with her art! Very exciting to see. She is very inspiring! 'Donna Green's ceramic vessels, although seemingly abstract, are all based on vases and urns that permeate human cultural history.Thrown and altered, the bulbous shapes are melded into contorted, ambiguous forms. Glazes rich in colour, metallic or glossy, matte or layered, drip and pour over the surfaces.Donna Green is included in the current "Clay Dynasty" exhibition of Australian Ceramics at the Powerhouse.' - Whats on Sydney

SUPPORT CUTTING FOR SIGN In this episode of Cutting For Sign, artist Ross Pino speaks with us about how to improve mental health. We discuss our struggles and successes with self control and forgiveness and the role psychedelics and religion have played in our lives. BIO Ross Pino is a Brooklyn based artist. Having grown up with alcohol and drug addicted parents, his main objective in life has become to set people free from destructive mindsets. He is an advocate for mental health awareness through arts and entertainment. In 2018, Pino began his journey as an artist by painting skulls. His daughter would paint with him. Her free creative spirit began to affect his paintings, eventually combining with his own edginess and skill. Pino describes his art as shining light into the darkness. His work combines human anatomy, “End of Days” theories, numerical synchronicities and emotionally driven poetry. While at times his work is dark, there is a heavy spiritual underling throughout.
